!The Past
Eugene Mulchandani, young Ned's only friend, loses his beloved snake and rabbit when the former eats the latter. 7!Tropes
* BadLiar: Jesus Christ, Tam Fong. When asked about his list of numbers, he hides it in a folder and asks "What list?" When asked about the ''folder'', he hides ''that'' and says "What folder?" Keep in mind that the people asking these questions were directly in front of him at the time. And then when Olive poses as a RichBitch and demands he stop calling her, he says that he'll personally make sure no one will call her again, and adds "psyche!" not particularly under his breath.
* BlindIdiotTranslation: The episode claims that the Latin phrase "orbis pro vox" means "ring for right". At best, "orbis pro vox" means "a voice for the deprived", while most other possible translations are nonsense--either way, it's too far from "ring for right" to work as a smoking gun.
* BorrowedCatchPhrase: Rob Wright borrows ''the narrator's''.
-->'''Rob:''' I know how it must sound, but... the facts were these--
-->'''Chuck:''' Huh?
* HoYay: A very literal in-universe example--the lawyer is in love with his client.
* IdiosyncraticWipe: The bells used by the Bellmen swing across the screen during scene transitions.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Emerson.
* JustLikeRobinHood: In a twist, Rob Wright was actually hired by Gustav to take his fortune and use it for the charity. When Gustav tried to back out Rob refused to call off his theft and stole the money anyway.
* OhCrap: Ned has to cross a room full of taxidermied animals.
* OminousPipeOrgan: At the end of the episode, as Chuck and Ned [[spoiler:dig up Chuck's father]].
* PunnyName: Rob Wright, a thief who '''rob'''s the rich to make things '''right'''.
* ShoutOut: To the "fear leads to anger" from ''Franchise/StarWars''.
* ThatLiarLies:
-->'''Chuck:''' You're a lying liar and a ''murderer'', [[AndThatsTerrible both of which are bad!]]
* ValleyGirl: Elise
