4	* ADayInTheLimelight: Billy's first focus episode after voluntarily stepping down as a ranger.

6	* AdaptationalNationality: Bara Vanish was an average MonsterOfTheWeek that was loyally serving the Machine Empire. Here, the Hydro Contaminators are an entire race onto themselves that threaten the ecosystem of an entire planet. The one we meet apparently has never even heard of the Machine Empire before given his confusion about seeing the Cogs aiding him.
7	* BadassNormal: Lt. Stone stumbles upon Goldar and Rito and, thinking there's an invasion afoot, chases them all over the park to try to arrest them. Granted, the two are amnesic and not up to no good, but Stone doesn't know that.
8	* BlindWithoutEm: Billy's vision is near-blank after losing his contacts. Thankfully, he had a pair of his old glasses stashed away [[CrazyPrepared just in case]].
9	* BittersweetEnding: The Hydro Contaminator is destroyed, but Billy has to depart for Aquitar in order to help Cestro's people deal with the larger threat that the Contaminators possess. His friends don’t even get the chance to send him off, leaving them crestfallen.
10	* TheBusCameBack: Cestro of the Aquitian Rangers returns for this episode. Mr. Caplan also returns after last being seen in “The Sound of Dischordia” in Mighty Morphin' Season Three.
11	* CompositeCharacter: The Hydro Contaminators' ''Ohranger'' counterpart was two separate entities.
12	* DopeSlap: Bulk does this to Billy. Cestro sees this and, unaware it's not exactly a friendly greeting, ends up knocking Billy's contacts out.
13	* HappyEndingOverride: Shortly after overcoming their longtime foe, Hydro Hog, the Aquitian Rangers were overwhelmed by the Hydro Contaminators and faced poisoned water. According to Cestro, the situation is so severe that their main computer is down and his teammates can't even activate their Battle Borgs.
14	* IOweYouMyLife: Billy doesn't hesitate to help Cestro, what with all the Aquitian Rangers did to help Earth after Master Vile regressed time.
15	* LampshadeHanging: As the Rangers engage the Hydro Contaminator halfway into the episode, the scene cuts to the moon.

17	* MassOhCrap: Bulk, Skull, Goldar, and Rito scream the moment that Cestro emerges from his ship. Cestro ends up screaming in response.
18	* MissedHimByThatMuch: Doubling back at the ship, Goldar and Rito again get chased off by Lt. Stone. Billy and Cestro teleport back in mere moments later, with the former remaining unaware of Goldar and Rito's continued presence on Earth.
19	* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Cestro's pat on the back causes Billy's contacts to go flying out of his sockets and then Alpha ends up accidentally crushing them with his foot.

21	* NonActionGuy: Cestro does not morph in this episode and when he volunteers to go fight, Tommy shoots him down by saying he is needed to help Billy finish his device.
22	* OneSteveLimit: Cestro said he needed to find a human named Billy. Bulk and Skull end up taking him to the only Billy that they know and that naturally is the right one.
23	* PutOnABus: Billy heads to Aquitar with Cestro to help them in their conflict with the Hydro Contaminators.
24	* RecognitionFailure: Bulk and Skull do not remember Cestro despite meeting him during the Alien Rangers saga, though it’s justified due to no one besides the Rangers retaining their memories of the world while it was under the Orb of Doom's effects. Seemingly the case with Cestro seeing Goldar and Rito just loitering around with Bulk and Skull, as he does not react to them nor does he inform the Earth rangers about it.
25	* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Sprocket advocates this after the Rangers destroy the Hydro Contaminator.
26	* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: Despite having fought with them a couple of times during the Alien Rangers saga, Cestro does not react to seeing Goldar and Rito with Bulk and Skull nor does he inform the Zeo Rangers.
27	* WhamEpisode: Billy graduates from High School early and in the end has to leave to help Cestro and the other Aquitians deal with the Hydro Contaminators.
28	* WhamLine: "I am Cestro of Aquitar, and I must find a human named Billy. The fate of the world depends on it."
