He knows he's not allowed to kill her, but he comes up to her and starts to cut her behind her ear while she screams in pain...and then the stereo starts playing in the other room. Annoyed, he says to her (mockingly) "Wait there," and goes to investigate. We stay with Sarah in the bathroom, and hear a series of clangs, bangs and sounds of things expensively breaking...and then Daniel staggers back into view, covered in blood, bleeding out from a mortal wound in his throat. He collapses, finally dead. Helena appears, covered in his blood and holding a kitchen knife.
