->''"Party Crasher, I am Hawk Moth. So, you weren't invited? Well, I'm giving you the power to ''crash'' that party, and end it for good!"''
-->-- '''Hawk Moth'''

Nino throws a party for Adrien, but when Wayhem can't get in, he is akumatized into Party Crasher.
----
!!Tropes:
* AchievementsInIgnorance: Hawk Moth created one of his most capable and efficient villains ''out of circumstance''. Gabriel akumatized Wayhem purely because he was nearby, and just to stop the party and return the power to Emilie's life support system. When the power is back on, and he starts coaching Party Crasher to take the Miraculous, Party Crasher proves competent enough with his powers ''to take out Ladybug, Cat Noir and the three other heroes who joined in to help them''.
* BadLiar: Ivan. For this reason, Nino tells him and the others to ignore calls from Marinette. However, each of them refusing to pick up cements Marinette's suspicion that something's up. Ayla quipping that it seems to be Bad Excuses World Championship today rather implies that actually none of the boys' excuses were really believed by the girls, but the rest didn't press the matter unlike Marinette.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Both the titular villain and the new hero, King Monkey.
** Party Crasher is so silly-looking that the entire party ''laughs at him'' when he first shows up. He quickly puts a stop to that.
** Later, King Monkey uses his ability, Uproar, and manifests a squeaky banana that he then tosses straight at Party Crasher. Party Crasher is supremely unimpressed - and then [[PowerIncontinence his powers start going haywire]].
* BigBlackout: On a much smaller scale. Markov accidentally redirects all of the power in Agreste Mansion to the music system; including the power going to Emilie’s life support.
* BigDamnHeroes: Just as Party Crasher's defeated every single other hero and is about to deliver them and their miraculouses to Hawk Moth via [[ItMakesSenseInContext disco-ball mini-helicopter]], King Monkey swoops in, screws up the former's powers with Uproar, and destroys the helicopter-turned-pinata, freeing everyone that Party Crasher had captured.
* BlackTieInfiltration: Marinette (poorly) disguises herself as a boy to crash into Adrien's party.
* [[GirlsNightOutEpisode Boys' Night Out Episode]]: At daytime. A [[WildTeenParty Wild Teen Party]] is hosted by Nino for Adrien. The "teen" part ends where almost the entire male cast of the show crash into the party. And Marinette, of course.
* BrokenPedestal: Wayhem mistakenly thinks Adrien lied to him about not being allowed to have friends over when he tries to join the party in progress and the Gorilla can't hear him ringing the doorbell. (The bodyguard is wearing earplugs to shut out the loud music and playing with his new action figures). Wayhem's anger and disappointment are enough to get him akumatized.
* BrosBeforeHoes: Nino is specific about the party being guys-only, to give Adrien and his male friends some bonding time, so he has some excuses prepared for each of the boys to prevent the girls from knowing. [[GenreSavvy It doesn't work with Marinette, though]], [[BadLiar because she has experience with improvising lies]]. Though it's a little more complicated than just wanting guys only, as they already had plans with the girls to plant trees that Nino decided to back out of when he heard it was an opportunity where Gabriel and Nathalie would be gone and he correctly assumes they'll be angry if they find out. If he'd known Marinette just wanted to join the party and wouldn't tell the other girls he might not have had a problem with it.
* CallBack:
** Marinette uses the excuse she forgot that [[ItMakesSenseInContext she was supposed to help bake a cake for one of her grandpa's mice's birthday]]. Alya naturally thinks that's a terrible excuse, but the fact he has mice and they were the closest thing he had to companionship when he was last seen makes the excuse almost believable if Alya actually knew him - and if you didn't remember that, Rolland Dupain and his mice make a short on-screen appearance later anyway when Ladybug tells Pegasus to teleport and borrow a cassette player from Rolland's house.
** Nino remembers the last time he tried to convince Gabriel to give Adrien a party didn't end well, but now he's fully prepared.
** Marinette once again makes a disguise from trash she finds in a dumpster to get into a place where she is denied entrance. The costume itself is very similar to the one she created in [[Recap/MiraculousLadybugS01E23PrincessFragrance "Princess Fragrance"]], with a motorcycle helmet and a poncho-like garment.
* CombatClairvoyance: In the form of "disco floor" vision, Party Crasher can see where his opponents are going to be next.
* ComicallySmallBribe: The Gorilla lets people into the house he is supposed to be guarding when he is given toy action figures. {{Downplayed|Trope}} and {{Justified|Trope}}. Given that it's fourteen-year-olds who are bribing him, they still find forking over three action figures to be a bit of a hard bargain and the Gorilla likes to see Adrien happy, so he doesn't need much excuse to let Adrien's friends in. Also it's suggested they are very rare figures that are either expensive or very hard to find, making it more understandable that they'd be considered worth something.
* ConfusionFu:
** How Party Crasher is defeated by the heroes - they dance around without combat sensibility to make it impossible for him to predict them.
** How King Monkey's [[PowerIncontinence power]], ''"Uproar"'', causes Party Crasher's [[AwesomeByAnalysis power]] to malfunction.
* ContinuityCavalcade: Close to every male character who appeared so far in the show shows up in this episode. They even get a CrowdedCastShot after being freed from Party Crasher's disco balls.
* CrazyPrepared: For once, it's Nino who comes up with a {{Zany Scheme}}, fully prepared to give a surprise party to Adrien. It doesn't stop Marinette from butting in to take part, though.
* ADayInTheLimelight: For the male cast of '' Miraculous'', especially Marinette's classmates. Also, Kim becomes King Monkey for the first time.
* DescriptionCut: Hawk Moth declares Party Crasher to be the most fearsome villain he has ever created... and then we see how ridiculous ([[BorrowedCatchphrase Utterly ridiculous!]]) he looks. [[BewareTheSillyOnes And then Hawk Moth turns out to be]] ''[[BewareTheSillyOnes right]]''.
* ElevatorFailure: Gabriel is briefly trapped inside the glass elevator that moves between the mansion and the repository when the power goes out. He transforms to punch his way out.
* ExplainingYourPowerToTheEnemy: King Monkey tags Party Crasher with a toy banana that causes [[PowerIncontinence his powers to temporarily malfunction]]. He then explains that he loves messing with other’s powers.
* FailedASpotCheck:
** Kim is still swimming in Adrien's bathtub and only notices something strange when the Miraculous box lands on the bottom of the tub in front of him.
** This may also be applied to Luka, Nino, and Max, as they all hear the sound of Miraculous boxes being set down, but fail to see who placed the boxes.
* GaleForceSound: After Markov boosts music at Adrien's party it's loud enough to knock over cars and Marinette who's unfortunate enough to be close to mansion at the moment. Like [[Recap/MiraculousLadybugS02E12CaptainHardrock the last time something like this happened]], this immediately brings police at their doorstep.
* GondorCallsForAid:
** Gabriel doesn't know what's happening upstairs, so he akumatizes Wayhem specifically to stop whatever caused Emilie's life support capsule to lose power.
** After Ladybug is caught in Party Crasher's disco gloves and Cat Noir just doesn't listen to him, Master Fu himself delivers Miraculous to Nino, Luka and Max, so Carapace, Viperion, and Pegasus can give Cat a hand. When even that fails, he turns to Kim, giving him the Monkey Miraculous to become King Monkey.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Different from Marinette's schemes, Nino's actually worked a little too well. Not only did he give Adrien an unforgettable party, but almost the show's full male cast (and [[AsHimself Thomas Astruc]]) invited themselves to the party, a villain included. Add to that redirecting all the house's power to the sound system, which could truly be the end for Adrien's mom.
* HiddenDepths:
** Gorilla is revealed to be a big fan of superhero action figures.
** André Glacier the ice cream vendor, Armand D'Argencourt the fencing master, Jean Tretiens the sanitation engineer, Roger Raincomprix the police officer, and Mr. Hessenpy the firefighter are all fans of the band Stationation and can perform a dance to their music. They identify with the performers who wear costumes matching their professions, and they regret not having anyone to represent the "moustached biker" until Marinette shows up in an improvised costume that matches. She is drafted into dancing with them, [[ICantDance which she does very badly]].
* HologramProjectionImperfection: There is a hologram of Gabriel Agreste that can be projected into the back of his car so that he can pretend to be away from home (on travel to Japan in this case). It flickers, and Nathalie adjusts it.
* ICantDance: Marinette’s attempts to do the Holiday Camp Dance leave something to be desired.
* IHaveToGoIronMyDog: Several examples, due to Nino providing all the boy with excuses and Marinette SpottingTheThread.
-->'''Alya:''' Nino got asked last-minute to DJ his grandma’s birthday party.
-->'''Myléne:''' Ivan came down with a toothache and had to rush to the dentist.
-->'''Alix:''' Nathaniel’s computer crashed, and he lost a comic book he and Marc were working on. Max and Markov are helping him fix it.
-->'''Rose:''' Kim suddenly remembered he had a swimming lesson, though I’m not sure why he texted me that.
-->'''Marinette:''' I just remembered. That I have to go and help my grandpa bake a cake for one of his mice’s birthdays. Bye guys.
-->'''Alya:''' Is it just me, or is it [[LampshadeHanging the bad excuses world championship today]]?
* {{Irony}}:
** Marinette suspects the boys are lying to the girls to cover something fun and start to investigate. [[HypocriticalHumor She instantly lies to Alya and the others for that, though]].
** Marinette chides Master Fu for going to the party and not being safer with the Miraculous box, to which Fu replies that they're perfectly safe because he has them with him. [[DramaticIrony Neither are aware that they're]] ''in Hawk Moth's house'', probably the least safe place in the city.
** Making it painfully double to Gabriel: He not only created one of his most efficient villains that almost gave him the ultimate triumph, but ''all of the Miraculous were in his house, ripe for the taking'' and he had no idea... all of that when he intended to ''take a day off''!
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Even though it's pretty obvious the school project was a lie, the Gorilla lets the boys have their fun and even lets all the other people wanting into the party in without asking questions, except Marinette because he was specifically asked not to.
* LoveMakesYouDumb: Cat Noir doesn't even listen to Fu's advice after Ladybug is caught in Party Crasher's power.
* MonkeyKingLite: Kim's Miraculous form, King Monkey. He carries a staff, his Uproar chaotically disrupts others' powers, and the Miraculous itself resembles the Golden Ring Headband. This is actually justified, as the Miraculouses are said to have been made in China and WordOfGod is that Sun Wukong himself was a previous holder of the Monkey Miraculous.
* NearVillainVictory: Party Crasher single-handedly captures not only Ladybug and Cat Noir, but also three other heroes (Carapace, Viperion, and Pegasus). He's at the point of delivering them to Hawk Moth when King Monkey intervenes.
* OneHitKill: Party Crasher can capture any person or object by touching them with a disco-ball hand, or hitting them with a beam at a distance. They are caught on one of the mirror facets of the ball.
* OneOfTheBoys: Marinette tries to pull that disguising herself as a "man", making her the only "invited girl".
* PaperThinDisguise: Marinette's disguise as Marino consists in a poncho, a motorcycle helmet, and a fake nose with moustache and glasses. Absolutely nobody, including Master Fu and all her male schoolmates, is able to recognise her until she accidentally loses her disguise.
* ParalysisByAnalysis: Occurs after the heroes start dancing around randomly to screw with [[CombatClairvoyance Party Crasher's]] [[AwesomenessByAnalysis power]]. He's so overwhelmed by all the possibilities that his power shows him, he doesn't manage to land a single hit on any of them before his goggles (which contain his akuma) are knocked off and destroyed.
* PoorCommunicationKills: A lot of the episode's problems are due to misunderstandings. Adrien tells Wayhem he's busy and not allowed to have any friends over because he had no idea Nino would throw a surprise party and as a result Wayhem thinks he lied to him and is upset enough to get Akumatized. Meanwhile, Nino tells Gorilla to keep Marinette out and refuses to answer phone calls because he thinks she wants to bust them for backing out of their plans to plant trees when, in fact, she really just wants to join in the party. Also happens almost literally when Adrien lets Max mess with the house's power systems not knowing his mother was in a life support capsule underground that very much needs that power.
* PowerIncontinence: King Monkey's power, ''"Uproar"'', causes the powers of others to randomly malfunction. It screws with Party Crasher's [[AwesomenessByAnalysis Power]] badly enough, that King Monkey is able to run directly at his pinata and shatter it. (The pinata itself was formerly a mini-helicopter that Party Crasher made from his disco balls to deliver the captured heroes and their Miraculous to Hawk Moth.) It only lasts a minute or so, but it's enough to get the captured heroes back and turn the fight around.
* ResetButton: This appears to be how Viperion's powers work. He invokes "Second Chance" and then can reverse time back to that point later, in order to try to fix something that went wrong (like the capture of Carapace).
* TheReveal: A relatively mundane example. We finally learn where Hawk Moth gets all those butterflies he keeps in his lair; he raises them in the basement.
* ShipperOnDeck: A possible, very {{Downplayed|}} moment - the Gorilla seemed to have been making his Knight Owl and Majestia figures kiss right before Party Crasher barged in, implying he ships it, though he could have just been doing because it's funny to him. This would turn out to be {{Foreshadowing}} in the "Miraculous New York" special.
* ShootTheMageFirst: Hawk Moth advises Party Crasher to be wary of Viperion given his [[ResetButton Second Chance]] ability. Viperion resets time almost immediately after this comment to save Carapace, tipping his hand to Party Crasher and causing the latter to tag him first instead. With Viperion's defeat, Party Crasher easily disposes of the rest of Cat Noir's team.
* ShoutOut:
** Stationation - the band who's record is played at the party - is a very deliberate {{Expy}} of the Music/VillagePeople.
** Marinette wears a Groucho mask as disguise. A ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' specialty.
** Marinette's attempt to disguise herself has her proclaim [[VideoGame/SuperMario64 "It's-a me, Marino!"]]
** The scene where Party Crasher (who's wearing disco balls like boxing gloves) climbs the stairs and cheers is based on the training montage from ''{{Film/Rocky}}''. Even the music is similar.
** The heroes defeating the villain by dancing around to make themselves unpredictable sounds a lot like signature elements of [[https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capoeira the capoeira martial art]].
* StalkerWithACrush: Marinette is at it again, this time disguising herself to crash Adrien's guys-only party, though it's more haphazard stalking than usual considering she was initially just curious what the boys were obviously hiding.
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: Marinette tries calling Ivan to find out whether the boys are having a party and Nino stops him from answering “because he [[BadLiar can’t lie to save his life]]”.
* ThinkingUpPortals: Ladybug shows Pegasus the location of Rolland Dupain's place on her yo-yo map, to pick up an object she needs (a cassette player) without Max knowing how she knew of that place in advance.
* TrueCompanions: Despite Adrien's agenda keeping him too busy to socialize, it's clear not only Nino, but his other classmates consider him a true friend ([[FriendlyRivalry even Luka]]). If they can't bring Adrien to a party, well, they can bring the party to him!
* UncannyAtmosphere: How does Hawk Moth know something is fishy at his home? He can't feel any other emotions sans ''happiness''...which should mean he's generally aware of [[ParentalNeglect how Adrien feels about his parenting]].
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: The Gorilla's actions ''really'' had some effects he couldn't have predicted - letting Adrien's friends in and allowing their party causes Markov to redirect power that was going to Emilie's life support that the Gorilla didn't know about. He also saddens Wayhem into akumatization by not letting him in like all the other guys just because the Gorilla happened to be wearing earplugs and playing with his action figures while Wayhem was there... which inversely actually saved Emilie's life since Party Crasher did as he's named where otherwise the party probably would have kept going for a while.
* VillainHasAPoint: For once, Hawk Moth has a good reason for using his powers: to eject the intruders from his home and to restore power to his wife's life support systems.
* VillainsOutShopping: Gabriel had no intentions of being Hawk Moth today; he planned to spend his day harvesting butterflies in his garden before the party cut off the power to the room.
* VolleyingInsults: [[InnocentlyInsensitive Kim]] calls Xuppu a plushie. Xuppu calls Kim a nitwit. This quickly degenerates into the two making faces at each other.
* WalkingSwimsuitScene: Kim spends the bulk of the episode solely in his bathing suit, including his TransformationSequence.
* WildTeenParty: {{Downplayed|}} - despite practically the entire male cast of the show eventually getting in on it, little openly disastrous happens from the party itself aside from Markov redirecting power from Emilie's life support unbeknownst to anyone there (which actually started happening when it was only just the six boys there). The only typical trouble is Roger saying they were a noise violation... after which he joins the party, though an akuma appearing at it turns out to be a big problem. The party also gets adults having fun there pretty quick.
* WorfHadTheFlu: A very rare instance where Ladybug is incapacitated before Cat Noir. [[DoubleSubversion Contrary to what you'd expect]], that doesn't prompt Cat Noir to solve the problem, but King Monkey does, instead.
