Liv investigates the death of a compulsive gambler and gets bit by the gambling bug.
----

* AffablyEvil: Mr. Boss is a soft-spoken man who Liv just sees as a quiet guy in a barber shop...but in a meeting, makes it quite clear to Peyton that if she doesn't drop her investigation of him, she'll pay a price.
* AllForNothing: Blaine was just about to deliver his grandfather's brains to his father, Angus...until he gets the news that his dad's disappeared. All thanks to Major kidnapping him and locking him in a deep freeze.
* {{Blackmail}}: Angus threatens to zombify Blaine if he doesn't get him a specific brain: the son of his chief rival.
* CantHaveSexEver: After some exhaustive tests, Ravi learns that even with any form of condom, if Major has sex with Liv, he will be zombified. For bonus points, he tells them this [[MomentKiller just as they're about to re-consummate their relationship.]]
* ContinuityNod: This episode's events are directly connected to those of the previous episode, so it is heavily referenced.
* TheGambler: Liv turns into this for the episode.
* KillerRabbit: It turns out that one of the clients at the Barber's who was giving Liv advice on the case...happens to be Mr. Boss, Seattle's biggest mob boss.
* KillTheOnesYouLove: Blaine is just about in tears as he smothers his catatonic grandfather to death with a pillow.
* SpySpeak: Roger Thrunk uses his OnePhoneCall to tell a colleague, "Take care of Mr. Sheldon. Use the usual guy." Clive and Liv are convinced that this is somehow code for "Hire someone to kill Harry Cole." In a subversion, Mr. Sheldon turns out to be Thrunk's pet turtle; in a double subversion, Mr. Sheldon's aquarium turns out to be where Thrunk keeps his cocaine stash.
* StripPoker: Liv and Major play a game over Skype, because of all the sexy things they could possibly be doing, this is probably the one least likely to transmit zombieism.
