As a wall surrounds Seattle, Clive, Liv and the rest of the gang have to handle a new way of life. Liv eats on the brain of a Seahawks superfan to solve a murder.

!!
* AbusiveParents: As a result of his hatred for zombies, Clint became this upon learning his son Zorn became a zombie via sexual contact, even going as far as to kick him out of the house and shove him down a flight of stairs. This ultimately leads to him being murdered at the hands of his wife.
* AllCrimesAreEqual: Chase Graves institutes a number of draconian policies meant to keep both the zombies and the humans peaceful. For instance, deliberately scratching a human by a zombie is punishable by death. Why? Because they're already running low on brains to feed the entire city. They don't need any more mouths to feed. Also, the presence of humans is the only thing keeping the government from employing the NuclearOption to get rid of zombies in one fell swoop.
* BerserkButton: All it takes is the mention of the infamous Super Bowl XLIX loss for Liv to go full monster zombie mode.
* BoomerangBigot: On top of a football fan, Clint was also a zombie bigot. Thus, on his brain, Liv will take shots on how terrible zombies are.
* DarkMessiah: Angus sees himself as this. Even the intro comic now gives him the label of "The Prophet".
* DidNotThinkThisThrough: Chase's plan to blackmail the United States for brains resulted in them walling off the city and not ceding to his demands. Now the city has a dramatic shortage of brains as well as no access to the outside.
* EurekaMoment: When Peyton shows Liv the "Z" on their apartment door indicating a zombie is inside, Liv suddenly realizes how odd it is for someone to have a giant poster of Russell Wilson on their front door. That leads to the realization it was to cover the "Z" on Clint's front door.
* FandomRivalry: In-universe as one of the suspects is from San Francisco, leading to the interrogation dominated by him defending the 49ers and Liv standing up for the Seahawks.
* FantasticLegalWeirdness: According to Zorn, zombie visions are not admissible as evidence.
* LoonyFan: Liv downs the brain of "the biggest Seahawk fan alive" leading to stuff like watching the NFL Combine in full fan makeup.
* NothingIsTheSameAnymore: Rather obvious with zombies known to the public and Liv handling people knowing what she is. Lampshaded by Ravi saying "this will take some getting used to." On the other hand, Liv is no longer the only one in the department using brain-induced visions for clues.
* OffWithHisHead: Sort of. In order to maintain order among the zombie population of New Seattle, Chase Graves has ordered a guillotine to be set up with an anvil attached to the blade. The goal isn't to chop off a zombie's head. It's to crush it like a watermelon (which is exactly what they use as a demonstration).
* TheReveal: Ravi's Zombie Vaccine works...but not without some side effects, as he starts to eat a brain during autopsy. In a later scene, he details that regular para-Zombie phases in which he craves brain and shows white strains in his hair seem to be part of the vaccine deal.
* RewardedAsATraitorDeserves: One of Blaine's goons frees Angus from the well, then implies he'll be richly rewarded. Instead, he gets clobbered with a mallet by the crazed man.
* SceneryCensor: On the brain of a nudist, Ravi stands before a chair before a rocked Clive and Liv.
* ShoutOut: As Liv cooks the football fan's brain, it's to the classic opening theme of ''Monday Night Football.''
* TheStoolPigeon: Blaine is forced to report on everything he's heard in his line of work to Chase once a week. He clearly resents being a snitch. However, if he doesn't, Chase has promised to shut his businesses down.
* WhamShot:
** During an autopsy, Ravi starts munching on a brain.
** Blaine's dad is pulled out by an ally.
* YeOldeButcheredeEnglishe: One of the Fillmore-Graves soldiers ends up eating the blue-soaked brain of a stage actor, which results in him speaking in Shakespearean English and trying to challenge Clive to a duel.
