2	Hiro arrives at school for his first day, and quickly finds himself maybe a bit over his head. The memory of Tadashi is still fresh in everyone's mind - in fact his lab hasn't even been cleaned yet - and his classes are filled with older students. Add in Fred trying to become a true super hero team, the dean being unwilling to let Hiro remake Baymax, remaking Baymax anyway and Baymax glitching out, and his classes, Hiro has his plate full.

4	And then Hiro runs into Yama again, who has the perfect way for Hiro to repay him for going to jail: steal a paperweight from the dean's desk. What could go wrong?

7	* AdaptationExpansion: The two-part pilot is a more fleshed out version of the epilogue from the movie, detailing the team's decision to become superheroes, the new dean for SFIT, the return of Yama and revealing Obake, the next major villain the heroes will face in the series.
8	* AngerBornOfWorry: Honey, Go Go, and Wasabi display this towards Hiro after he and Fred almost get killed by Yama.
9	* AnswerCut: Gogo tells Fred that there are no supervillains in San Fransokyo. Cut to Yama doing a HighAltitudeInterrogation on some poor sap, right before Obake calls him.

The times she does get snippy are the moments where Hiro is breaking the rules. Otherwise, she is patient and sympathetic, and not above giving praise. Just don't try hugging her...

35	** Everyone aside from Fred is very reluctant to continue with crime-fighting now that Callaghan's in prison and Tadashi's been avenged, the whole reason they formed the team in the first place. Honey Lemon also mentions that Hiro almost got killed in the process, terrified of losing another friend. The first time that they ''do'' go patrolling, they find no crime to deal with and only managed to catch a speeding car transporting a pregnant woman.
36	** Tadashi's lab is off-limits, initially, to Hiro, since private labs belong to upperclassmen who earned the privilege and the university is not going to just give Hiro the lab just because he's the brother of its previous occupant.
37	** While in the aforementioned lab, Hiro and Fred attempt to hide from Professor Granville by disguising Baymax as a chair. Unlike [[FailedASpotCheck most cartoon examples]], Granville immediately sees through the disguise.
38	** Unlike most [[SadistTeacher teachers]] depicted in cartoons, Professor Granville is stern, but [[ReasonableAuthorityFigure fair.]] She doesn't antagonize Hiro and is very civil with him, determined that he live up to his potential. She wouldn't have been chosen as Dean of the college if she was a major Jerkass to the students who keep the college running, after all.
39	** Honey Lemon throws a chem ball that releases a sticky substance, trapping several mooks to the ground. The mooks simply get out of their shoes and continue fighting.
40	* ThisIsReality: Gogo believes this, which is why she believes that the team isn't necessary with Yokai defeated since there are no supervillains in real life.
41	* YouSaidYouWouldLetThemGo: Yama almost immediately goes back in his word to [[HostageForMacGuffin give Baymax's body back in exchange for the "paperweight"]], and instead imprisons both Hiro and Fred.
