From there, the band Gorillaz would formed after Murdoc acquired the haunted building of Kong Studios as a base for his band, recruited Russel, a drummer from New York who ended up being possessed by the souls of his friends after they were gunned down in a drive-by shooting, and recruited Noodle, an amnesiac, Japanese girl who emerged from a [=FedEx=] box on the same day Murdoc posted an advertisement looking for a guitarist. |

Joka would've reached out to Harley Quinn for a partnership to make up for her abuse, but Harley has a tendency to act as a "hero" whenever she's not working with the Joker, and Joka has absolutely no interest in hero work. Joker for his part does not appreciate there being yet another "Joker" in the Pantheon, stating that replacing the "er" with an "a" is a pathetic attempt to be unique, and finds Joka's competency too inconsistent to tolerate. |
