Context Pantheon / GUADMasters

Go To

Here lie the leaders of the Grand United Alliance of Destruction. They are the heart and soul of this genocidal organization, with each member as leader of one of the other factions. Most are loyal to the idea of complete destruction, and will no doubt take their own lives once they have extinguished the lives of everyone else.

Though mostly loyal, the GUAD Masters have wildly different motives for why they think all life should go extinct. As a result, they will often bicker. Their leader Nekron, however, doesn't care for their arguments: so long as they value the void over everything else, they are all considered in the right.

This order is hidden in the darkest part of the Land of the Unliving, around Nekron's throne, knowing they are prime targets for being annihilated by the heavy hitters outside of their organization. Their Black Lanterns often serve as much as a voice for their opinions when they wish to delegate as they do their main army. Any attempt to enter this region, unless called upon, will have the offender be threatened with a CessationOfExistence.

Nekron, God of Animating The Dead (Lord of the Unliving, "Death")
* Overdeity
* Symbol: A Black Lantern scythe
* Alignment: Claims to be Lawful AboveGoodAndEvil, though is considered NeutralEvil
* Rank: Absolute ruler of the GUAD
* Followers: Everyone who want the extinction of all life (excluding the Anti-Monitor), all death seekers willing to sacrifice the rest of creation for their goal.
* Nekron embodies the ancient darkness that preceded life, and wishes to return the omniverse itself back to it's cold, void self. One of the major objectives behind founding the GUAD was to gather enough power to take on Death of the Endless (who he sees the greatest perversion of the darkness) and usurp her place as the definitive Grim Reaper of the Trope Pantheon.
* While supporting his team members, ultimately Nekron will reap them when every other living thing has been extinguished. Most member's loyalty is determined on whether they are willing to ultimately be included in the "to-die" list or not.

The Lich, God of Nuclear Waste
* Overdeity
* Symbol: A horned, decaying head
* Alignment: ChaoticEvil
* Rank: Second-in-command of the GUAD, co-enforcer of Nekron's will.
* Reason for joining: The Lich and Nekron have the exact same goal-the extinction of all life
* Loyalty to Nekron: Very high. The Lich idolizes Nekron, seeing him as "a kindred spirit of the original darkness." Nekron, in turn, sees him as a distant brother.
* Threat level: High and increasing. ItOnlyWorksOnce on the Lich, and he's better at scheming than Nekron.

Nagash, God of TheUndead (Nagash the Great Necromancer, Lord of Undeath, The Undying, The Great Betrayer, The Usurper, He Who Shall Not Be Named)
* Greater God (can become an Overdeity should the Black Pyramid harness enough souls and Warpstone)
* Symbol: The Nine Books of Nagash
* Alignment: LawfulEvil
* Reason for joining: Nagash's ultimate goal is to eradicate every single living being on the planet and then raise them as autonomous, mindless undead for him to rule over, and hence, the GUAD was the most preferable alliance for him to consider. Him and Nekron actually see a lot of themselves towards each other as well.
* Loyalty to Nekron: Low. While Nekron and Nagash's goals are almost completely identical, Nagash is also incredibly arrogant and full of himself. While he does take orders from Nekron, Nagash seeks to usurp him by using his allies and heralds to commit killing sprees and transfer souls into the Black Pyramid for Nagash to harvest and become stronger under.
* Threat level: UNBELIEVABLY EXTREME. Being the creator of Necromancy in the Warhammer World, Nagash is an immensely powerful mage who has killed entire armies and nations with his power and intellect and has come close to destroying his world on several occasions. Add to Nagash's total control over his army, his strength ever-increasing thanks to the black pyramid, his devious mind and influence and his arsenal further amplifying his sorcery and defenses and you've got one of the most terrifying and destructive necromancers in existence.

Dharkon, Dark Half of OrderVsChaos (Darz, The Embodiment of Chaos and Darkness)
* Overdeity
* Symbol: His core: a purple eye
* Alignment: ChaoticEvil
* Reason for joining: Nekron said there was always a place for Dharkon amongst his ranks if he were ever to escape his imprisonment. He was also offered to have the entire GUAD backing him once Dharkon faces Galeem once more.
* Loyalty to Nekron: Very High. They share the dream for existence to be enraptured in darkness, which drives their teamwork.
* Threat level: UNBELIEVABLY EXTREME. Being the same level as Galeem, Dharkon's darkness is the literal anathema to life itself should he consume the universe in it.

The White, Gods of the DespairGambit and Final Endings
* Greater Gods
* Symbol: The Yamato Perpetual Reactor
* Alignment: OmnicidalNeutral
* Rank: Leader of the GUAD Ring Overlords, Master of Propaganda
* Reason for joining: The promise of the permanent destruction of all gods and "freedom" of all existence
* Loyalty to Nekron: Medium. While Nekron has (what they see as) ending misery in mind, they are adamant he should do the same afterwards. If not, they'll try and do it by force.
* Threat level: Proportionate to how cynical their target's universe.

Zanza, God of Recreation and Destruction
* Overdeity
* Symbol: The Bionis
* Alignment: NeutralEvil
* Rank: Commander of the GUAD Scar Corps
* Reason for joining: To use Nekron in order to help him achieve his goals
* Loyalty to Nekron: Zero. Zanza is using Nekron to help in his endeavors and will betray him the moment he has gotten what he wants.
* Threat level: Extreme.

William Hand, God of Death Activated Superpowers (Black Hand, Wilbur Palm, Black Glove, Avatar of the Black, Herald of Nekron)
* Intermediate God (Lesser God if living)
* Symbol: A Black Lantern ring
* Alignment: ChaoticEvil
* Rank: Commander of the Black Lantern Corps, co-enforcer of Nekron's will
* Reason for joining: Black Hand is Nekron's Herald/Tether to the living world
* Loyalty to Nekron: Absolute and immutable. Black Hand is little more than Nekron's will in human form
* Threat level: Low if alive. Medium-high when dead-unlike other Black Lanterns, he cannot be destroyed in any known way. Potentially extreme if accounting to him being Nekron's tether in the physical plane

Deathwing, God of Destructive Restructuring of the World ([[IHaveManyNames Neltharion the Earth-Warder, Neltharion the Betrayer, Deathwing the Black, Deathwing the Destroyer, Deathwing the Worldbreaker, Xaxas, Blood's Shadow, Lord Daval Prestor/King Prestor the First, ruler of Alterac (human disguise), The Black Scourge, The Dark One, Death Aspect/Aspect of Death, The Cataclysm, Blackwing Greatfather, The Unmaker of Worlds, Death Incarnate, POWER INCARNATE!]], Big D, Angry Black Dragon)
* Greater God, bordering on Overdeity
* Alignment: Chaotic Insane
* Reason for joining: Invited by Nekron after seeing what Deathwing did to Azeroth just by returning.
* Loyalty to Nekron: Low. Deathwing's sheer insanity makes him incredibly unpredictable.
* Threat level: Very high to Extreme. Deathwing's sheer power makes him an incredibly destructive force, on top of him still having all of his Dragon Aspect powers. It took the other four Dragon Aspects giving up their power and the Dragon Soul to stop him.

Kefka Palazzo, God of Power-Induced Madness (The Mad Mage, the Madcap)
* Intermediate God (Greater God in his OneWingedAngel form)
* Symbol: A cracked theater mask with clown makeup
* Alignment: ChaoticEvil
* Reason for joining: "Life... dreams... hope... Where do they come from? And where do they go? Such meaningless things...I'LL DESTROY THEM ALL!" *Uwee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee!*
* Loyalty to Nekron: Non-existent to high. Nekron knows how to have a good time alright, but so did Gestahl, and see what happened to him! Also, Kefka has experience with draining deities of their powers, and Nekron's powers probably look rather inviting to him.
* Threat Level: High.

Majin Buu, God of Pink Psychopaths (Djinn Boo, Majin Boo, Super Buu, Kid Buu, Pure Boo, Evil Boo)
* Overdeity
* Symbol: A chocolate bar
* Alignment: ChaoticEvil
* Reason for joining: Buu loves to destroy. Also, Nekron has agreed to provide him with candy. So has Melkor. In fact, they're both fighting over him.
* Loyalty to Nekron: So long as Nekron gives him candy and plenty of things to destroy, High. This is the same for Melkor.
* Threat Level: EXTREMELY HIGH. He has the power to destroy entire planets and not only has no self-restraint but has the mentality of what amounts to a rampaging child.

Amatsu-Mikaboshi, Anti-God of The Primordial Chaos (Chaos King, August Star Of Heaven)
* Overdeity (Greater God in Kami Form)
* Symbol: A golden, slitted eye in a black void
* Alignment: True Destructive
* Reason for joining: The Chaos King considers Nekron a kindred spirit, and shares the same desires
* Loyalty to Nekron: Very high, they're practically family
* Threat Level: EXTREME. It took almost all the gods in his universe to be defeated.

Apophis, God of Sinister Snakes (Apep, Aapep, Apepi, Enemy of Ra, Serpent From The Nile, Evil Lizard, Lord of Chaos, the Encircler of the World, The Enemy, the Serpent of Rebirth, He Who Was Spat Out, Serpent of the Desert, Vegetables, Overgrown Rat Snake, Set, Seth, Pep, The Snake, Snake, Beast, Stinking Worm, Demon)
* Overdeity
* Symbol: A snake, his name in hieroglyphs
* Alignment: LawfulEvil or ChaoticEvil depending on the circumstances.
* Rank: Leader of various hordes of demons.
* Reason for joining: The promise to cause chaos and destruction throughout creation.
* Loyalty to Nekron: Low if not non-existent, Nekron is simply a tool to be used and discarded when his worth is over. Whether or not Apophis will attempt to destroy/devour Nekron once all is said and done is anyone's guess though.
* Threat level: Extremely High and increases along with chaos.

The Shadow Monster, Unholy Being of the Dark World (The Mind Flayer, The Brain, "He")
* Unknown, likely an Overdeity
* Symbol: A giant thunder storm with red lightning
* Alignment: A mix of Chaotic Evil with Alien Morality
* Rank: Controller of The Upside Down and the Hive Mind of its inhabitance
* Reason for joining: Nekron snuck The Shadow Monster into the Pantheon so it may spread its influence. While it isn't spreading its corruption as of late (due to its weaknesses being all around the place), it will follow Nekron's orders despite this through its Demogorgons.
* Loyalty to Nekron: Very High. With both of them wishing to destroy all life, allying with each other is a match made in heaven. The Shadow Monster would follow any of Nekron's requests, especially if it involved killing something.
* Threat level: EXTREME. Not only does The Shadow Monster rule an entire Mirror World of the Pantheon that has Pantheon/TheGreatTreasury and everything inside it, it's Hive Mind of an entire species whose adult forms are nigh-indestructible Monstrous Humanoids as well, quickly shooting The Shadow Monster up to being one of the most feared beings in the entire Pantheon.

The Crimson King, God of Sigil Spamming (Ram Abbalah, Lord of Discordia, Lord of Chaos, Lord of the Spiders, The Red King. True name: Los')
* Overdeity (avatar is a Greater God, devolves to Intermediate later on)
* Symbol: The Crimson Eye.
* Alignment: ChaoticEvil
* Reason for joining: If Nekron wants to destroy all of creation, then he might as well should be here to improve his chances on the same goal as well.
* Loyalty to Nekron: Medium. They both share the same goal but would likely fight over who rules over the Void left if they do blow up all of creation.
