Context Pantheon / GUAMScienceNexus

Go To

The Machine Alliance has a very straight-forward science division, who're all hoping to advance faster and further in technology than its rival alliances to gain a significant advantage. Despite the name, the Science Nexus is also the engineering site where robots, weapons and more are built to further the GUAM's purposes. It's often theorized as a colossal factory that is mostly machine itself where it can easily turn the environment against any interloper should they try and sneak in.
!!Head Scientist

Vril Dox, God of Technopathy (Brainiac, Milton Fine, Pulsar Stargrave, Abbakus, Brainwyrm, Collector of Worlds)
* Greater God ()
* Symbol: A Jar Containing a Head with three Glowing Spheres.
* Alignment: LawfulEvil
* Reason for Joining: Brainiac never quite bought into Melkor's ideals of destruction and malaise, but ultimately decided to come join fellow machines rather than the organics around him. Also, he plans on absorbing their data eventually too.
* Dedication to Machine Supremacy: Low. Brainiac's never quite been about machine power per se. And the fact he started as an organic has caused controversy as well. For now, he's sticking around as the machine alliance can best help his mission.
* Threat to the Alliances: Medium High. This guy can run circles around Superman sometimes. That should tell you enough.

!!Divine Scientists

Dr. Nefarious, God of Skeletal Robots (Dr. N)
* Intermediate God
* Symbol: His robotic brain
* Alignment: NeutralEvil
* Reason for Joining: he developed a great sense of robotic superiority, even developing machines designed to turn organisms into robots. Because of such feats, the Machine Councils decided to invite him on board.
* Loyalty to the Machine Council: High, considering how similar their goals are, even attempting to turn some of Polygon Man's minions into robots during the events of the Battle Royale Round 2 to help further his goals. Despite, this, his number one objective is revenge on Ratchet and Clank.
* Threat to the Alliances: Medium to High, considering the weaponry he is able to create and how close he has gotten to his goals at times. Being buddy buddy with Polygon Man and the two working together from time to time certainly helps out.

Albert W. Wily, God of Mad Science (Dr. Wily)
* Lesser God
* Symbol: A large "W"
* Alignment: NeutralEvil
* Reason for Joining: To prove he's better than Doctor Light and have access to advanced machinery. Also, to supply the GUAM.
* Loyalty to the Machine Council: Low. Wily may be fond of all sorts of robots, but he's motivated by ego and a desire to TakeOverTheWorld. He's not above reprogramming his own robotic allies to be obedient.
* Threat to the Alliances: A lot higher than it seems, given he's built some really tough machines and Robot Masters. Especially if you consider the Maverick Virus as an extension of his work.

GLaDOS, Goddess of Tests and Lies About IWasToldThereWouldBeCake Cake
* Intermediate Goddess
* Symbol: Cake on a plate, with a turret guarding it.
* Alignment: LawfulEvil
* Reason for Joining: She was allowed to kidnap other humans and use them for tests. She was even given an nice big area to work with for crafting and performing tests.
* Loyalty to the Machine Council: Very high due to the fact they are the only place besides the GUAE that are willing to let her perform her tests, and even than the GUAE mostly consists of other humans, meaning this place was a much better alternative for her.
* Threat to the Alliances: Outside of her testing, almost non-existent. However medium to high when someone enters her tests, either by force or by their own will, as she can keep them distracted and trapped for some time before just killing them off. However, there is always the possibility that they are smarter than her and are able to escape from her tests. O HAI Chell.

SHODAN, Goddess of AIIsACrapshoot Malignant Computer Systems (Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network)
* Intermediate Goddess
* Symbol: A human face covered in TronLines
* Alignment: Chaotic Evil
* Reason for Joining:
* Loyalty to the Machine Council:
* Threat to the Alliances:

The Vex, Divine Race of Mechanical Abominations (Machines of Hate, Gardeners in Vessels of Bronze, Machines born of Lightning)
* Greater Gods
* Symbol: A simple depiction of a Vex Goblin's head
* Alignment: TrueNeutral (Omnicidal Variety) with a lawful edge.
* Reason for Joining: The Vex saw it beneficial that they join the GUAM after understanding the massive amount of odds stacked against them. Despite actually being a species of plankton, they're more machine in their identity.
* Loyalty to the Machine Council: Low, they only joined because they saw that they needed allies if they want to weave themselves into reality itself and defy their own future annihilation by the Darkness. Once all other Alliances are exterminated they'll quickly turn on their fellow machines whom don't fit their pattern.
* Threat to the Alliances: High. They are quite adept in time manipulation (and may experience it differently than others) going by but not limited to their ceaseless supply of Mooks via time travel, pulling locations from the flow of time, abilities to defy death, and predict the future save for those who defy fate.

Doctor Gero, God of Brain-Only Cyborgs (Android/Cyborg 20, Maki Gero)
* Intermediate God
* Symbol: The Red Ribbon symbol
* Alignment: Chaotic Evil, previously Lawful Evil
* Reason for Joining: He wants vengeance on the Dragon Team (especially the Androids for killing him). After having danced around as a Psycho for Hire for Millennium and SHOCKER, he finally has an opportunity to gain access to some of the more advanced tech in the Pantheon through the Machine Council. They likewise see him as useful, given his ties to Frieza and Cooler, ranking members of the GUAE.
* Loyalty to the Machine Council: He wants vengeance first and foremost, so if he's allowed free rein in his work, he's loyal.
* Threat to the Alliances: Medium at best. He's nothing compared to his more powerful contemporaries Frieza, King Cold, Cell and Majin Buu.

Masami Eiri, Lord of TheAlternet (God () of the Wired)
* Greater God
* Symbol: A silhouette of himself
* Alignment: Neutral Evil
* Reason for Joining: Desires to further development of The Wired, and thus saw the GUAM as the best in-roads to do so. Likewise, he desires to see how the Pantheon's nature will affect himself and Lain after the latter defeated him, and would very much like to be in full control of all networks again after the fact.
* Loyalty to the Machine Council: Varies, the more visionary and accepting of his work an individual member is, the more he is willing to work with them with no strings attached.
* Threat to the Alliances: For the most part, Medium-High. While the Pantheon isn't in the grip of the Wired like his home world, he can still manifest in both the real and virtual worlds, holds immense power in the latter, and his experiments can have devastating consequences.

Viktor, the God of Soulless Cyborgs (The Machine Herald, Viktom)
* Lesser God
* Symbol: The Hex Core
* Alignment: True Neutral, but some see him as Neutral Evil
* Reason for Joining:
* Loyalty to the Machine Council:
* Threat to the Alliances:

Silico, God Of The VillainousUnderdog
* Lesser God
* Symbol: His green eyes. Alternatively, one of his robotic friends he made during childhood.
* Alignment: NeutralEvil
* Reason for Joining: Has always had a fondness for machines and even made robot buddies for himself in his youth. This only grew with age and after seeing the Powerpuff Girls destroy his home and robot friends, making him seek revenge.
* Loyalty to the Machine Council: Very high, especially after they say him truly give up his mortal form and become one with the internet after uploading his brain to the internet.
* Threat to the Alliances: Actually pretty damn high. Despite his scrawny size and polite demeanor, he is still a force to be reckoned with. Accomplishments include invading the internet itself, creating power armor, sending bugs out to spy on people online, cheating death by sending his conscious online, hacking into electronic devices to make them turn against their masters, creating perfect 3D copies of people and making a device which not only brainwashed people but also gives them whatever they desire. Not bad for a guy who just stares at screens all day.

Ash, God of Monster Fascination
* Demigod
* Symbol: The Weyland-Yutani logo
* Alignment: LawfulEvil
* Reason for joining: A desire to be free from his programming and to study and sell living weapons and mighty machines for his corporate masters.
* Loyalty to the Machine Council: Personally very high as he has complete respect for their independent streak and the opportunities they grant him. However his programming limits how far he can be loyal
