The Hall of Torture and Mutilation is considered one of, if not ''the'' most disturbing locations in the entire Trope Pantheon. One big TortureCellar [[EvilIsNotWellLit with poor lighting]], only the bravest, determined or most deranged souls dare step into this house. Half the gods who want to visit it are [[CompleteMonster the sickest SOBs there are]], but there are some who merely wish to use the fear of the house to their advantage and a few who visit to prove their bravery or simply investigate.

To make it clear what kind of house this is, the entrance has severed and mutilated heads and appendages on pikes guarding it. As horrific as the house can be, studying the mutilations have helped with the surgical science of the pantheon. The Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfGood wants the house gone, but since [[Pantheon/{{Villainy}} Melkor]] uses it like a hotel this hasn't gone anywhere.

* Enemies: [[Pantheon/EnergyWeaponry Luke Skywalker]], [[Pantheon/{{Destinies}} Neo]], [[Pantheon/{{Romance}} Mahiro]], [[Pantheon/TimeAndTemporality The Doctor]], Virtually Everyone in the House of Food
* Due to the immortal nature of gods, he tends to give up and randomly choose a new victim after a certain amount of time. This amount of time can range anywhere between a couple of hours and a few years. Although he can’t actually kill any of them no matter how many times he hits them with a spoon, it still hurts like hell.
** The only exception was [[Pantheon/ComedyGenres Kenny McCormick]], who was hit with a spoon a single time, causing him to fall over backwards off a cliff and into a pit of spikes, killing him. Ginosaji was especially confused the next day when he saw Kenny walking by as if nothing happened.
* One of his favorite methods of torture is to repeatedly strike his victims hands while they are eating, causing them to drop their food/drink in the process. This has earned him the ire of the ENTIRE House of Food.
* While [[Pantheon/PlotArchetypes Celty Sturluson]] was his chosen victim, he exclusively attacked her helmet. While no physical pain was caused, the noise was beyond unbearable. Any attempt she made at taking it off only resulted in him immediately putting it back on.
* [[Pantheon/MetalAndMinerals Magneto]] once tried to use his powers to take away Genosaji’s various spoons. It worked at first, until he literally pulled a wooden serving spoon out of his ass and started hitting him with it. It was considerably worse than the small metal spoons he was using.
* Johnny Cage once tried to fend him off by punching his crotch. He refuses to talk about what happened afterwards…
* Once defeated Luke Skywalker in a lightsaber duel. Luke doesn’t like to talk about it.
* Despite his negative opinion on any creature that relentlessly stalks its victims, The Doctor is openly impressed by his sheer talent with spoons.
* The gods in general prefer not to engage him, out of fear of being repeatedly and mercilessly whacked with a spoon.
* Was allies with Jigsaw to setting up the greatest, most psychologically painful trap ever produced. Out of relief of everyone in the Pantheon, the two butt-head over different methods (Jigsaw prefers to avoid the dirty works while Ginosaji wants to go there and attack directly) and parted way.
* However, he doesn't chase after [[Pantheon/{{Language}} Tommy Wiseau]] after learning that the latter [[VideoGame/TheRoomTheGame has weird fascination for spoons]] and plans to steal all his spoons so Wiseau can decorate his temple with them.
* Is currently interested in recruiting Alakazam and Mewtwo given that both of them can be seen holding a spoon as their weapons. Mewtwo is annoyed by this given that only [[Manga/PokemonAdventures an alternative version]] of it holds a spoon.

* For as long as history's been recorded there was always bloodshed. War was destructive, and at some point people had enough and began settling disputes through contained BloodSport. This was where [=DeathWatch=] started, and would last officially until 2001. Even still, the people's hunger for blood could not be sated and underground rounds raged on. [[VideoGame/MadWorld Imagine everyone's surprise when it came back out of the blue in 2019 as Jefferson Island would be locked down from the outside world to host its returning gameshow]]. The condition to leave was simple, really: Last man standing wins, complete with [[PoisonAndCureGambit a killer virus and antidote]] as extra incentive to kick things off. Enter Jack Cayman, a gruff-looking nobody who entered one day in the game and proceeded to effortlessly PaintTheTownRed. Turns out he's not only a former Navy Seal and Special Ops member but also a reigning champion of the games before faking his death. Now with a new identity as a [[BountyHunter Chaser]], he entered to rescue Varrigan City mayor's daughter, who was caught up in all the madness... or, so it would seem. By the time he found her she's not only unharmed but living comfortably with other aristocrats. Played for a fool by the mayor to spice up the games, he resumes work in becoming Rank 1 once more and taking down the people involved, even going rogue and resorting to murder instead of apprehending them, before riding off on his bike.
** [[VideoGame/AnarchyReigns In an alternate universe]] that's [[CrapsackWorld just as much as a shithole as the first]] he's still in the Chaser business and would again be looking for someone, though it's not some (fake) DamselInDistress. It's a man -- Maximilian Caxton -- a former officer in the city of Milvallen's Bureau of Public Safety. Now a crazed felon wanted for various acts of murder, his daughter pleaded to Jack to bring him home safely for she was worried the BPS would rather stick to executing him instead. Jack knows Max all too well, however: His daughter Stela was one of his victims, either personally or otherwise, and her death ate away at his head just when some semblance of optimism came back to him after finding out she existed. Struggling with the thought of what to do during the manhunt for Max, even coming dangerously close to killing him at times, he would ultimately relent on the understanding that putting down Max would just make his daughter go through what he did. Thus, he'd allow Max to live another day and get the treatment he desperately needed.
* His claim to fame and godhood mainly refers to the events back in [=DeathWatch=] and the huge bodies of {{Mook}}s he's [[RasputinianDeath sliced, diced, impaled, decapitated, ripped in half, incinerated, and any other unpleasantly violent thing]] you could think of or randomly pull from a thesaurus. In all likelihood he could most certainly kill people with the book itself if given the chance. While this wouldn't be as present in ''Anarchy Reigns'', Jack is still plenty capable of demonstrating such bloody feats. In fact, during the trip to the Pantheon he had to pass by the seedier parts in the Pantheon, in all likelihood somewhere in the House of Pantheon/CrimeAndTransgressions. There was [[SuicidalOverconfidence some vagrants and vagabonds tried to get the jump on Mr. Cayman]] as he stopped to refuel. Now, their bodies serve as fires to keep the impoverished there warm. All other thugs and miscreants fared worse. Suffice it to say, he earned his title for a reason.
* Many gods from his past would soon come to follow him in the Pantheon. First came Blacker Baron, who happily greeted him as soon as the pimp got in while escorted by helicopters carrying him and his seat. Jack brushed him off in annoyance but some reported there was a grin when he saw the gold toothed boxer once more. Muttering something about still owing him one. Funny how that works out: They were enemies back in Death Watch as the Baron was the FinalBoss and carried with him a brutal slugfest. Same goes for Big Bull, who was a MiniBoss and little more than a speed bump in Jack's journey in the BloodSport. Now, he's a sworn brother to him after proving himself in Altambra. At some point he also met Bayonetta during the hunt for Max and fought alongside her. Even Jack had to admit she's one hell of a woman. Lastly, there was of course Maximillian Caxton who personally thanked him for sparing his life and allowing him to finally put his life back together.
** Wasn't all sunshine and rainbows in reunions, however. The towering Germanic cyborg, Herr Frederick von Twirlenkiller, wanted to pay the Chaser back for hacking apart both his turbine arms and [[TurbineBlender using said limbs to turn him into a bloody smoothie]]. The gears and alloys in his body ache for a rematch and has dedicated much of his time in the Pantheon to defeating Jack. The biker only had two words for Herr Frederick: BringIt.
** Even if Jack hasn't exactly [[TheGhost "met"]] them, Howard and Kreese were really happy that he held a spot in the Pantheon having thoroughly enjoyed commentating over the carnage he created in Death Watch. In fact, out of everyone who participated in the competition he's hands down their favorite by far. Kreese still thinks [[MirrorBoss Kojack]] will come whoop Jack's ass in the Pantheon somehow despite the Chaser putting him six feet under with his motorcycle. Like, seriously, he ''threw'' the damn thing at him and collided with the evil-Aussie face first.
--> '''Howard:''' "Jack, Jack, he's a psychomaniac!"
--> '''Kreese:''' Dude, what are you singing?
--> '''Howard:''' I don't know, that's what's playing in the background.
--> '''Kreese:''' [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic That shit will never catch on]].
* Given the amount of shit in his line of work [[SeenItAll barely anything in the Pantheon can so much as phase him]]. Even as he was around in the Pantheon's early days and watched its population flourish over the years few could actually hold the honor of actually shocking him. He's faced cowboys, zombies, mutants, giants, colossi, Frakenstein's monster wannabes, cyborgs, ninjas, {{Cyber Ninja}}s, aliens, giant mecha, [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs aliens in giant mecha]], and many more. It helps that he has thrown all of them to the meat grinder. In some cases, literally. It racked up points in Death Watch. Howard and Kreese can watch that kind of stuff for hours.
* While skilled various manners of weaponry and improvised weaponry he always did favor the chainsaw weapon mounted on his arm as his primary weapon. But two is better than one, and such is the logic behind Gator Tooth which originated as an InfinityPlusOneSword but has since become a staple in the Chaser's arsenal. Already capable of slicing through just about anything its effectiveness has been doubled and combined with Jack's [[SuperStrength monstrous strength]] plus its ability to set people on fire Jack is not someone to be trifled with. He, for this reason, got along with Ash Williams, Marcus Fennix, and as they too share the affinity with chainsaws.
* He's still in the Chaser business and as such makes frequent stops to the House of Pantheon/JobsAndProfession for work. While Chasers are ostensibly bounty hunters they also double as private investigators and, if the situation calls for it, assassins. Hence why in addition to frequenting the sub-houses of Pantheon/InvestigativeWork and Pantheon/HuntersAndSlayers he also slips by the House of Pantheon/KillersAndAssassins. Often, he competes with Boba Fett, Rengar, Gondar, Lo Wang, and Agent 47.
* The Pantheon has no shortage of DeadlyGame participants in the Pantheon and Jack himself is no different. Thing is, what separates him from many of them like Katniss Everdeen, Jensen Ames, and the various ''Pantheon/{{Danganronpa}}'' deities is that he's a willing participant. And he did enjoy the three belts he earned before becoming sick of it eventually and coming back much later for a fourth due to Chaser business. Now, while Jack is far from the worst when it comes to the people attracted to the thrill of its violence they can't really overlook the sheer brutality displayed at work. Shuichi Saihara and Tenko Chabashira are especially opposed to him considering [[spoiler:their situation was actually from a twisted reality show]]. That, and the latter is misandristic and can't help but accuse him of being perverted among a bunch of other crimes she could think of. Jack, meanwhile, doesn't hold any actual malice towards them, at worst he considers Tenko an annoying bitch though he won't deny she's right about the perverted part. At the very least the Killing Game participants do appreciate that he does go after Junko Enoshima and Tsumugi Shirogane as well as Needles Kane and Krista Sparks/Dollface.
* If he's on his offtime Jack is probably hanging at a bar in the Pantheon. No bar in particular, really, it changes every so often. Sometimes it's at [[Pantheon/{{Alcohol}} Moe's or Tapper's]] and at other times it's at VideoGame/Va11HallA manned by [[Pantheon/GameMechanics Jill Stingray]] or the Mos Eisley Cantina. Maybe's he's even accompanied by Blacker Baron, Big Bull, or Maximillain Caxton. Beware, if the former two are with him then it can get pretty loud considering their overwhelming personalities. Outside of them he has also been seen in the company of Travis Touchdown, though it probably helps that Travis is an actual father of two.
* Often, he'll stop by the House of Pantheon/MachineryAndTechnology to check up on his retrofitted cybernetics. Though often it has to do with his arm it's also worth mentioning that it goes much further than that. If ''Anarchy Reigns'' is of any indication his eyes and entire skeleton are also technologically enhanced. Might just be why he's so adept at his job and godly title, although it could just simply be chalked up to sheer badassery. Now, the check ups might be more important than one may initially realize: There have been points in which he gives in to irrational rage, all signaled by the moment Jack's eyes [[RedEyesTakeWarning turns red]]. It's just a passing theory at the end of the day, it could be that or the result of the sheer amount of shit he's been through, but it makes you think.
* If contracted to go after the Pantheon's more demonic forces he usually partners up with The Doom Slayer. Should come as no surprise, really, his ability to rip and tear is truly the stuff the infamy. That, and there's a good chance the marine is already going after them anyways. And already knee deep in bodies. Oh, and we mustn't forget about the chainsaws.
--> '''Kreese:''' Honestly, they shouldn't even bother with [[Film/TheExorcist "The power of Christ compels you!"]] BS. Just ask these guys instead.
--> '''Howard:''' I sure as hell know He won't answer my prayers anyways, so...
* Though the thought was at one point appreciated, Jack no longer accepts cigarettes or cigars as tributes, having given up smoking. The reason why is that it comes from a request from his deceased daughter. At some points where it seems like he'll fall into old habits Jack stops himself in realization. Quite the jarring change of heart considering Chaserman Jack was practically a [[OralFixation perpetual]] CigarChomper in the days of Death Watch, but it is what it is.
* "A [[TitleDrop mad world]], huh? I'll fit right in."

* Respects: [[Pantheon/CrueltyAndSadism Esdeath]] (one-sided), Pinhead
* All villains need a right-hand minion, and many a dictator needs someone to do the really dirty work. Darkseid is no exception, and has Desaad for this purpose. Naming himself after the Marquis de Sade, Desaad is the New God of sadism and torture. It's his primary job of inflicting physical and mental torture to those Darkseid deems necessary. Slick, weaselly and definitively cruel, Desaad does his job with a grim satisfaction and aptitude for pain.
* Was once an innocent youth corrupted by Prince Uxas, becoming integral in his transformation into Darkseid. While most of his followers [[UndyingLoyalty worship Darkseid]], Desaad [[TheStarscream will try to overthrow him]]. This never works since [[SmugSnake he's way out of his depth]] and is regarded as less charismatic than [[TheBrute Kalibak]]. He often gets executed by the Lord of Apokolips and revived whenever needed, [[AssholeVictim though he definitely deserves it]]. He likes a good drink with Starscream over how they constantly vie for overthrowing their master but it never works.
* Above all, Desaad [[DirtyCoward is a sniveling coward]] who can dish out the hurt, but can't take it. As such he rarely exits the relative comfort of Apokolips or the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil, and is quick to get his ass kicked by any hero who escapes his torture devices. He grew to understand Peter Pettigrew as they were both cowardly weasels of a dark lord, however [[EvenEvilHasStandards Wormtail doesn't like his sadism]]. Neither does Darkseid, but that's less about morality and more [[PragmaticVillainy practical standards]].
* Comparatively wimpy for a New God, but in spite of all that [[NormalFishInATinyPond he is still a New God]]. When [[Pantheon/FearInducers Scarecrow]] used his Fear Toxin on him, he beat up Scarecrow unaffected and reminding him of this. He's more comfortable facing off against normal humans, but even then prefers not to put himself in arm's length. He run afoul of Kenshiro once who hated him as the kind of cowardly, wormy yet incredibly cruel scum he deals with on a daily basis. Darkseid had to revive him from that one.
* Uses various means of torture in his service towards Darkseid, making him very knowledgeable in his own house of Torture and Mutilation. He has formed a friendship with Richard Trager in the ways of torture and [[{{Fingore}} finger mutilation]]. Doesn't get why [[FauxAffablyEvil Trager has a facade of friendliness]] when pain is still pain, but does find it amusing. He seems fond of Freddy Krueger due to his ability to inflict supernatural suffering, and has given the nightmare some advice on keeping victims alive as long as possible for maximum anguish.
* Allowed to work under other villains for torture-based interrogation, since Darkseid feels his servant could expand some of his skills. Also, it allows him to keep an eye on his other villains through him. Roose Bolton was impressed by Desaad's skills, but was disappointed by his more StupidEvil traits. Desaad admires his flaying skills, and also admires Euron Greyjoy's skills. Impressed by Kano [[Fanfic/MortalKombatDesperation after seeing his work on Cassie Cage and his son]].
* [[VillainousCrush Lusts after Esdeath]] for being official goddess of sadism, combined with her figure and commanding presence. Due to being a cowardly [[TheIgor Igor]]-like figure and pretty slimy-looking, Esdeath has zero respect for him and [[{{Squick}} was squicked out by his attraction]]. He seems to admire Pinhead and the Cenobites as well for the sights they have to show people, however [[MisaimedFandom doesn't realize the pain is meant to be pleasure]].
* His cruelty and sadism remind Marv and John Hartigan of [[Pantheon/{{Toxicity}} Ethan Roark Junior]] and [[Pantheon/{{Headwear}} Kevin]], so they really don't like him. Night Raid opposes him due to being the kind of sick official that the Empire uses, like Wild Hunt. While he shares the sadism and cowardice of the Yellow Bastard, Desaad doesn't seem to care for him. He's not a pedophile, though this is more due to being more of a pure than sexual sadist, rather than [[EvenEvilHasStandards having moral issues]].
* Jack Bauer really doesn't like him. He uses torture but only does it when he has no other choice, Desaad does it for fun.
* Skilled in technology and other more spiritual matters, making him one of Darkseid's best researchers. He made it possible for him to gain the Omega Force, after all. Most of his work is trying to better understand the Source and get his master the Anti-Life Equation. For this reason, he's been antagonizing Hypno and Babidi for their brainwashing capabilities. Or rather, ''was'' antagonizing Babidi. Nowadays he's allied with the wizard in hopes of using the Majin spell to make soldiers for Apokolips, and secretly to find a way of mind-controlling Darkseid himself. Given [[BigBadWannabe Desaad and Babidi]], it hasn't gone anywhere.
* Sometimes disguises himself as Darkseid whenever the actual Darkseid isn't around, in his fruitless ambitions of ruling Apokolips. Darkseid tolerates this to an extent since [[TheChewToy there's little more he could do to punish him than normal]], but if he needs Desaad as a decoy he needs to learn how to act more like him. During ComicBook/FinalCrisis he possessed Mary Marvel.
* While Darkseid corrupted Desaad, he may be one of the reasons why Darkseid remains so evil to this day. [[EvilMatriarch Darkseid' mother Heggra]] ordered Desaad to poison Suli, the only person Darkseid ever loved, due to being a MoralityPet that might make him a better person. [[LaserGuidedKarma Darkseid browbeat Desaad]] [[{{Matricide}} into poisoning her]]. Kalibak [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas was enraged to learn]] that Desaad [[YouKilledMyFather killed his mother]], though is forced to work with him. He does take satisfaction in the fact Desaad is Darkseid' [[TheChewToy chew toy]], possibly in part because of killing Suli.

* Banned From: The House of Royalty, The House of Dragons, The House of Family, The House of Couples, The House of Treasures (including Maximum Security and The Armory), and The House of Romance, and from most of the good-aligned sorceresses
* ''I don't mock the Drowned God - I '''am''' the Drowned God. From Oldtown to Qarth, [[OhCrap when men see my sails]], [[TheDreaded they pray]].''
* Ascended to the Pantheon after laying waste to Daenerys Targaryen's fleet, much to the delight of Cersei Lannister and the anger of Daenerys Targaryen. He was originally slated to ascend following him becoming King of the Iron Isles, but that was delayed. Fortunately, Cersei used a portion of the stolen Tyrell gold to smooth things over, allowing Euron to ascend proper.
* The younger brother of Balon Greyjoy, Balon is a talented sailor and commander. However, things went downhill for his family when Balon rebelled against the fledgling Baratheon regime. While he had declared for his brother and was the mastermind behind the attack which destroyed Tywin Lannister's fleet at Lannisport, the Greyjoy Rebellion would end in failure, driving Euron into exile.
** Tywin Lannister had not forgotten that little detail, and vows that "Euron Greyjoy will pay his debts" to the Lannisters. He's also not too keen seeing Euron in cahoots with his murderous, kinslaying/queenslaying daughter.
* His ship is ''The Silence'', which he named following him ripping out the tongues of his crew. This came after he went batshit insane during a storm whilst sailing the Jade Sea and his crew had to tie him to the mast from throwing himself overboard. When asked why he did that, Euron casually replied, "I needed the silence."
* Euron has a morbid fascination with the most infamous of Old Gods, Cthulhu. Maybe because it shares several similarities with the Drowned God, or maybe Euron can be in its presence without going even more insane (as it such a thing can be more possible).
* Hears that there is a Pirate King in the Pantheon. Euron's curiosity is piqued when he discovers that the Pirate King is in fact one Elizabeth Swann Turner. "My kind of woman," Euron notes upon hearing of how she fought - and got married - during the Battle of Calypso's Maelstrom. First things first: kill her husband, then usurp the title of Pirate King from Elizabeth and make her his salt wife. "I pay the iron price," Euron said.
* Turns out that Euron has a thing for powerful women. Sure he's betrothed to Cersei, but there are other deities who are younger and more attractive than her. Emily Kaldwin is such a woman. "A fighter as well as a warrior," Euron notes. Emily, for her part, is not interested in Euron, thankfully. [[PapaWolf Corvo is not amused in the least.]]
** Euron also has an unhealthy obsession with Geralt's foster daughter, Ciri Elen Riannon. A hunter of the supernatural ''and'' an Empress? And her deified cousin, the Duchess of Touissant isn't bad-looking either. This pisses Geralt off something serious.
* Heard about Red Sonja's challenge, and decides to take her up on it. Too bad that Euron is a rapist. While not on part with Gregor Clegane, that little detail still [[BerserkButton set Sonja off]]. Euron was forced to retreat, lest the furious swordswoman try and geld him.
* Euron finds himself on most of the pirate deities' shit-list. He is, however, ''absolutely terrified'' of Cervantes de Leon. Euron crossed paths with the undead pirate in the past. It nearly ended with Cervantes bisecting Euron in two while possessed by Soul Edge. Even without the cursed blade, Cervantes is a threat. Euron decided that it would be best to avoid him.
** Also steers clear of Raoh. Anyone who rides a horse the size of an elephant and can casually backhand the head off a person's shoulders is someone that needs to be watched...especially if said offender happened to be one of his men.
* Even before leaving King's Landing to fight with the North, Jaime Lannister despises Euron. In a time [[Fanfic/AndTheGiantAwoke which Tyrion himself kills Gregor Clegane during his trial by combat]], Jaime and Euron squared off during a battle at sea. Despite Euron's sorcery and his assortment of dirty tricks (and insults), Jaime slays him, thus earning a more favorable nickname - Crowslayer.
* Euron sees the half-naked wenches hanging around Conan and wonders what he has that makes him [[ChickMagnet irresistible to the ladies]]. Is it his [[TheCharmer natural charm]]... [[BiggerIsBetterInBed or something else entirely]]? That or the fact that the deified Cimmerian is a monster on the battlefield. Euron trembles with anticipation over who is the better fighter between the two.
* Among the ''many'', ''many'' Houses he's banned from, the House of Dragons top the list. The reason being is that Euron is in possession of Dragonbinder, a six-foot long dragon horn that can bring a dragon under his control. That is something even the Dovahkiin cannot allow.

* Herman Carter began as a brilliant person that found himself joining Yale's advanced neuroscience programme, which was really a front for the CIA. There, Carter was recruited for his research and inducted into Léry's Memorial Institute under the tutelage of Dr. Otto Stamper, who encouraged Carter to go beyond what's allowed in the experimentation in order to truly discover the secrets of the human mind, something that will spiral out of control as Carter began to become more and more ruthless in his experiments, with many people that entered his lab never ever coming out of it and all in the name of the so called Project Awakening, which employed the use of Electroconvulsive Therapy in order to "interrogate" prisoners. Carter grew more and more unhinged until Léry's went completely silent, with the Doctor nowhere to be found and many of the staff and other immates found dead in horrific conditions. In truth, the Doctor found a greater purpose under a great power and now would personally see to it with other "unconventional methods".
* Ascended to the Pantheon on behalf of the Entity and immediately found the place delightful. He was resourceful enough to evade authorities for a while but once he got too overconfident after having tortured a poor deity for days given enough time for him to be detained. Containment procedures against the Doctor have been mostly innefficient, as he is smart enough to understand how to escape his temple and even can call the Entity to break him out. Even taking away his tools has done nothing but slow him down.
* Carter has a tendency to prey on those with poor mental health as he believes breaking them further might further his "research" and also power the Entity as well. Although surprisingly, he is not one of the Entity's most favoured champions as he feels it limits his abilities to "explore" the survivors he comes accross and even had to be punished several times for [[TooSpicyForYogSothoth going too far]], explaining why his face is all kinds of [[NightmareFace messed up]].
* It seems the time in the Entity's realm allowed the Doctor to gain electric powers, somewhat related to his infamous electroshock therapy sessions and fully takes advantage of those powers to prevent survivors from trying to trick him into chasing them endlessly by cutting them off or driving them insane. Some wonder if he actually qualifies for the House of Pantheon/{{Electricity}} but most aren't eager to let him into the house and cause more trouble.
* Not the only one known to use electric torture as Revolver Ocelot has knack for doing that as an interrogation tactic and it seems Ocelot might be very aware of Carter's actions given Ocelot's own history as a double agent for several different parties. Ocelot's former superior, Colonel Volgin, grew curious of the Doctor's own methods given that Volgin also has a tendency to torture people and even found Carter to be a potentially useful asset and even allied with the man with the hopes of using him for his own goals. Both Solid Snake and Big Boss also grew to dislike the Doctor given their own experience with being electrocuted (thanks to the aforementioned folks) and would rather put a stop to Carter for good, but the Entity has prevented them from doing anything meaningful against the Doctor.
* Very chummy with Desaad and Richard Trager, since their sadism could potentially rival or triumph that of Carter's. As a "doctor" Trager has tried to suggest cutting fingers and other human body parts on the survivors he usually has to go against and the Doctor reassured him that those ideas he has already tried them in the past and got him not further into coming into a breakthrough, dissapointing Trager in the process.
* In the field of science many find him completely deplorable and have criticized his actions. Others however, have praised Herman for being a visionary and an example that ethics in science only hampers its progress. Professor Hojo has some keen interest in providing him more test subjects to see how they "respond" to Carter's methods. The Scarecrow grew fascinated not only by Carter's own creepy appearance and infamous incidents, but also the realm of the entity and hearing that the latter could be of a potential natural abomination, it could allow Crane to perfect his fear toxin by letting it fester in the realm's Entity. Carter, in a rare display of [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness concern for another individual]], warned Crane about the potential dangers of using the entity for something like that, as he once met an individual like him, Talbot Grimes, who would eventually become yet another of the Entity's mindless killers. The reason Carter knows about Grimes, now known as The Blight, is that he was once experimented by that person and even injected with blight which enhanced the Doctor's powers (and that's saying something considering the Doctor was the one being experimented on in this case).
* His involvement with the CIA and how they encouraged Carter to continue recklessly experimenting on people soured the opinion of the organization to many of the Pantheon's denizens. Among them was even a member of the CIA, Alex Mason. He himself has his own baggage considering he was experimented on and turned into a sleeper agent that may or may not have been involved in JFK's assassination. Given that the CIA even used electroshock to interrogate him, Mason has every right to despise Carter and the latter is only amused that the CIA never told him about Mason's condition before....well, before he massacred all the staff at Léry's.
* Simon Henriksson despises the Doctor, being an even bigger evil than the Doctor he encountered in his adventure, and that's saying something considering Simon had already encountered many other horrors before. Even Dr. Purnell thinks Carter is a danger to everyone in the Pantheon and wouldn't hesitate putting him down if allowed. On his part, the Doctor took great interest in Simon as his experience genuinely intrigues Carter and has attempted to kidnap and experiment on Simon to see what other discoveries he can make, which obviously terrifies Simon.
* The one time you might find him not trying to horribly murdering people is when he is playing chess, as it is one of his favourite hobbies and he is even quite good at it. Not many are willing to play with him unfortunately, save for a few choice allies who are as insane as he is. And even those who play with him and lose tend to get horribly tortured afterwards.

* Richard Trager is a peculiar individual. While at first he sounds like a high functioning person, he is nothing but a psychopathic murderer who has a tendency to torture and mutilate his victims, but his latest victim proved to be much smarter than him and ultimately Trager met his end via [[CruelAndUnusualDeath elevator crushing]].
* In reality he isn't a doctor, he just likes to pretend to be one just for fun and giggles. He was actually a Murkoff executive who was submitted by force to the Morphogenic Engine [[YoungerThanTheyLook and he is just in his forties!]] That isn't much of a FreudianExcuse though, as it doesn't make his past actions any less awful than his current ones.
* His method of "treating" his victims is very simple: "[[{{Fingore}} First the fingers]], [[GroinAttack then the balls]], [[TongueTrauma then the tongue]]". Many deities cringed in terror after hearing this and Miles Upshur was fortunate enough to break out before he could procede any further after getting his fingers cut.
** And you may ask, what if the victim is female? Well, Trager doesn't have a problem [[DeadlyEuphemism going a bit deeper]] as he says. Though he may also change things up a bit and go for the tongue first since women tend to be louder, [[NightmareFuel according to him anyway]].
** Since the other two positions were already filled, Trager was appointed to the remaining one. Even then, he is in amicable terms with Euron Greyjoy given their shared psychopatic tendencies.
* Always armed with Shears, which proves useful once a buddy of his tries to escape. He made a lot of allies like Nui Harime who are also armed with similar weapons, and find Trager's "patients treatment" to be rather interesting.
** That said, he was rather disappointed in Edward Scissorhands, since his hands would really come in handy for him. Scissorhands on his part of how of a disgusting human being Trager is.
** Heard that Jontron had a irrational fear of Scissors and so decided to mess with him just for the hell of it.
* He is one of the worst deities when it comes to torturing someone, since he doesn't kill his victim outright but keeps them alive to prolongue their suffering. [[DeathIsCheap And considering the Pantheon works with death]], this definitely something that makes Trager one of the more scary lesser deities in the pantheon halls.
** For this fact alone, he managed to befriend Asdrubael Vect and Pinhead the moment he entered the Slaughterhouse. No small feat for a guy who just was experimented on.
* He tends to refer to everyone as buddy, even to his victims. His jovial and silly attitude had made some people [[DracoInLeatherPants believe he is not that bad]], even when visibly torturing people.
* Apparently Lionel Starkweather has been interested making a documentary about him and his long work sessions and turn into a film. Trager apparently agreed, so long as he brings some fresh recruits for Trager to experiment on.
* [[VillainsOutShopping Sometimes can be spotted playing golf in the house of Sports]], something he used to do when he was an executive.
* Considered the only deity who has managed to make the NakedApron look [[FanDisservice disgusting]].
* Rumored to be one of the people that sells organ and bodyparts to Nigel Burke. He has a lot of those in his temple according to unknown sources, but discourage investigating it unless you want to get caught by Trager.

Naturally, his LogicalWeakness is water [[KillItWithWater which if he doused significantly with, Volgin will curl up and be totally useless for a short time before firing up again]]. 227* How does Volgin interrogate people? [[VideoGame/MetalGearSolid Does he strap them to an electric chair]] or [[VideoGame/MetalGearSolidPeaceWalker use electrical rods]]? He also wholeheartedly believes Joel is Kermit’s son [[InsaneTrollLogic even after seeing what Joel looks like]].
* Armstrong and Sundowner received mixed opinions from Volgin, who he sees as strong people who create conflict for what he deems as good reasons [[YouAreACreditToYourRace but they aren’t Soviets]]. As the Man on Fire, Volgin is one of the few who can directly battle Armstrong without worrying about taking too much damage.
* Eventually was given a position in the Pantheon/GUAEConquestForce because [[ColdBloodedTorture nobody wants him near valuable prisoners.]]Volgin was recommended to be an accountant due to rather decent handling over the [[Fiction500 Philosopher’s Legacy]] but broke every single computer with his electrical powers, throwing that option out the window.

* Conflicted Opinion on: [[Pantheon/{{Slaughter}} Pinhead]]
* Lest one is a gibbering cultist following the horrors that blight the world or a damnably sheltered and ignorant fool then it is no secret that the Ancestor's Estate is, factually, [[DeathWorld a hellhole]] already in a CrapsackWorld. And with the rise of influence of the Crimson Court and the Hag, people started vociferating at how much of a rubbish job he's doing when it comes to his problems. After the sighting and subsequent investigations of a mysterious crystalline comet crashing into a farmstead, sooner or later the Ancestor had to have an answer to this mess. And soon enough, he did.
** Curiously, there was a request from the Ancestor to escort a carriage arriving from the Pantheon's gates to the Court of Gods. Assuming whoever's inside to be the Ancestor's response to the ascended monstrosities, the enlisted adventurers did as they were asked and sure enough the carriage was attacked by said monsters. They did manage to break through and kill the driver along with destroying the coach, forcing two passengers out. One was a nondescript noble who was lucky to be uninjured while the other a shirtless and scarred hooded man who seemed to have been critically wounded. Despite being told to stay back, the latter only [[SlasherSmile grinned wildly]] and punched one of their assailants [[MegatonPunch right into the gut]] and the rest is history.
--->'''The Ancestor:''' "A singular strike!"\
'''The Flagellant:''' "Darkness flees before the blood!"
*** The noble introduced themselves to the Court of Gods as [[PlayerCharacter the Heir]] of the Estate, in other words the one who is tasked with dealing with their Ancestor's problems in the mortal world. The man accompanying them was the Flagellant, one of many Heroes that willingly subject themselves to clearing away whatever abominations that infest the Darkest Estate. They both came here to serve as an Herald to the Ancestor and potential ascension candidate respectively. After the latter made his point with the now bloodied monster trail, [[WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer and how his solutions to problems tend to involve flagellation]], both were accepted with little trouble.
---->'''The Flagellant:''' "Ascendance!"
* The Flagellant may be one of the more [[MechanicallyUnusualClass unusual heroes]] enlisted to fight off Estate's monsters. Now, while they all have differing sets of skills they are all ([[LovecraftianSuperpower save for one]]) still normal men and women in the end and can quickly break in both body and mind if pushed too far. The Flagellant on the other hand? [[CriticalStatusBuff Getting closer to death only amplifies his existing abilities]], and pushing him past Death's Door is easier said than done. And becoming too stressed out always leads him to becoming Rapturous, which greatly adds to his damage at the cost of his dodge speed.
* He finds only solace in the lash and because of that he doesn't really bother with other forms of comfort such as drinking or indulging in one's lust. Hell, he will even refuse the comforting warmth of a campfire in favor of the lash by turning his back on it. He does show appreciation to Hestia for providing other adventurers her blessings, however. Some deities from the Houses of Pantheon/LoveAndAffection want to change his mind on that second to last part, trying to appeal to his sadomasochism. No progress since then.
--> '''The Flagellant:''' "I belong elsewhere."
** There was one report of the Flagellant being found near a tavern, but it was only to [[HeelFaithTurn convert a drunken man]] by urging him to beat him up despite the sheer amount of pain. [[CreepySouvenir He sometimes keeps the lost teeth and broken glass from the bottle he was hit with when exploring]].
* If the Flagellant has to he is willing to work with less than virtuous individuals should their goals align well enough. He, like the rest of the religious heroes, have no problem working with grave robbers, occultists, and [[NightmareFetishist enthusiastic]] plague doctors. What surprised many is that this even extends far enough to include the Hunter who, temporary transformations aside, [[spoiler:can become a Great One]] and Ludwig who's quite noticeably a bestial monstrosity. [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration Back then, working with such folks wouldn't even be possible]], and even now the tension isn't exactly hidden. Though for the latter, it likely helps that Ludwig was the first Healing Church Hunter and despite his form he still maintains his sanity. That, and his hate for Micolash and the Great Ones is stronger. And at least the Heir is willing to help keep them working together.
* That said having fought many different monsters he has very little tolerance for the more evil ones in the Pantheon and wouldn't even hesitate for a second in turning all of them to little more than smears on the earth. Though a Demigod, there was once a time where this madman would [[GameBreaker one-man his way through dungeons]] up until he was {{Nerf}}ed. The House of Pantheon/{{Gaming}} can vouch for that. Nowadays, he's still strong but is warned not to be reckless. This rings hollow when people remember what he does after telling him, especially since [[HeroicSacrifice his death may be the greatest sacrifice he can offer to the Light]]. And since DeathIsCheap...
--> '''The Flagellant:''' "[[DeathSeeker I've waited long for this! DON'T TAKE IT FROM ME.]]"
** Having travelled to the Estate when the Crimson Court had become resurfacing in the Estate likely as a response to them and [[LogicalWeakness their weakness to bleeding]] he affiliates himself with vampire hunters, most notably Simon and Trevor Belmont thanks to their bloodline's conflicts with Dracula. Their choice of weaponry against the creatures of the night is something he can appreciate. When it comes to Trevor's group, however, while he gets along with Grant well the same cannot be said for Sypha. While some issue surrounding her being a witch is one thing, another reason might be that the Flagellant reminds Sypha of a [[VideoGame/CastlevaniaJudgment certain incarnation]] [[KnightTemplar of her]], one she isn't too proud of. He has little to say to that other than she shouldn't meet [[VanHelsingHateCrimes the]] [[HeWhoFightsMonsters Fanatic]]. [[EveryoneHasStandards He's much worse than he is]], and ''that'' is saying something.
* When some tire of calling him the Flagellant, they sometimes refer to him by the name Damian. This comes from the monk [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Damian Peter Damian]], [[MeaningfulName who's responsible for the practice of the lash as a form of worship]].
* There are actually multiple Flagellants in the Pantheon who follow the ascended Flagellant, although people are more likely to meet the deified one without of his followers[[note]]This is because "the burden of suffering cannot be shared"[[/note]]. Multiple Flagellants shouldn't come as a surprise since it's not a practice unique to just one man. Indeed, they all come from an [[ChurchMilitant extremist faction of the church]] whose use of flagellation seemingly allows the use BloodMagic and what appears to be superhuman will. You can imagine how he's not exactly the most popular person amongst his peers much less the religious ones, often viewing his practices with [[EveryoneHasStandards uncomfortably mixed reactions]]. He on the other hand knows that others have differing opinions on pain and respects them... unless if he's [[FriendOrFoe Rapturous]]. Then expect ATasteOfTheLash from time to time until he's relieved of it.
-->'''The Flagellant:''' "Don't you see? The pain eases the burden."
** He's well aware of other deities being able to use powers like his, and is often grouped up alongside the likes of Carmine Prime, Jedah Dohma, Skarlet, Eliza, and Himiko Toga because of said powers. The Flagellant would like to reiterate that he does ''not'' associate himself with such impious fiends, and is likely to attack them on sight. They in turn don't think much of him. Carmine is perhaps the [[SirSwearsALot most vocal]] about his distaste.
--->'''The Flagellant:''' "To be associated with such faithless dogs. It's insulting!"\
'''Carmine:''' "You're one to talk with your HolierThanThou bullshit, grouping me up with garbage like that! Why don't go and fight me if you're so offended?"
*** Out of all the aforementioned blood users, he probably gets into fights with Carmine the most. At the same time, all encounters with the In-Birth actually don't end in either of them dying unlike the rest. Likely because he's the least bad out of the bunch being a moody {{Jerkass}} at worst compared to, say, aspiring tyrants or a {{Humanoid Abomination}}s.

* Conflicting Opinion on: [[Pantheon/ComedyGenres Eric Cartman]]
* Respects: [[Pantheon/JusticeBringers Garrus Vakarian]], [[Pantheon/{{Conduct}} Sam Vimes]]
* Gene has spent much of his mortal life dabbling between many faiths in the House of Justice, yet he couldn't find a god that fit him. After some years, he decided to become part of the Pantheon, promoting his achievements to the House of Justice. One wouldn't think that such a man would make leeway. So it was a shock to them when a massive amount of people vouched for his ascension. It didn't take long before he got a temple for himself.
* One of many of his patrons, Archie Bunker made quick friends with the police chief. It helps that the two were around at the same time chronically.
* There was one time where he tried to enter the clergy of Draco... which didn't end as planned. For one, there was an uncomfortably large amount of female clergies. There was also the part where Malfoy retains a strong disdain with Muggles. With Gene in the Pantheon, the two compete over potential followers.
* Then he entered the temple of Jack Bauer, learning the ways of interrogation and torture. It was there that he created a new style of torture, developing more creative ways to extract information from criminals. It may seem cruel, but he couldn't help but laugh off the absurdity of his methods. Nevertheless, he thought Bauer took the process too seriously and quit the business as well. Gene made amends once he entered the Pantheon.
* Afterwards, he tried out the temple of Leroy Gibbs, intrigued with the man's ability to make his torturer sweat beads in his mere presence. It was his experience with the two of them that he created a new style of extracting information, one that can be punishing to criminals but fun for the impersonator. That earned him his second title.
* It's little surprise to see him getting along with British cynic John Constantine. Gene trusts in him more than any other magician in any occult mysteries. He would rather keep any talk of being Bi as [[NoBisexuals a phase and nothing else]].
* The same can't be said with the Doctor, who has a natural distrust with law enforcement. The feeling is mutual, as Gene is uncomfortable with his alien nature. It just feels like fate always pits the two together to save the day, much to their chagrin.
* He wants to like Cartman, he really does. But the amount of crap that the kid does pushes even his buttons. He still hopes to reach over to him in order to be a slightly more tolerant person.
* Within the House of Justice, he fits in the most with Vigilante Cop Dirty Harry. It may be odd that a chief of police may qualify as one... until one realizes that ''all'' of his crew could be considered followers of Dirty Harry. The same can be said for Harry as well, one who is no stranger to using slang words on minorities.
* Also enjoys the company of policeman Sam Vimes. The only reason the two aren't friends is Sam's dislike of ''everyone''. He does admit he dislikes Gene less than most of his employees.
* European origins aside, he goes swimmingly with Ron Swanson as well, preferring less bureaucracy to be involved in police matters. This pits him against Ron's colleague Leslie, whose followers bog him down with cumbersome policies that hold him back. It's under Ron's insistence that he decided to be tolerant of her rather than opposed to her.
* As of cop, it's only natural that he intends to arrest all those in the Houses of Crime and Villains. Omar Little serves as an exception, as he has provided vital information within the House on some of the more dangerous criminals.
* He may be immoral, cruel and a bigot, but he is ''not'' corrupt. He ultimately intends to enforce the law. So when Rosco thought he could buy out Gene Hunt, the Brit threw that money in his face, beat him senseless and stormed off.
* It turns out that his colleagues Sam Tyler and Alex Drake weren't the only ones misplaced in time. Gene found out that the two were followers of Axel Low, who he later paid respects to.
* As a cop, he's supposed to renounce Garrus, God of Vigilantism. In truth, he likes the alien's style. Just don't expect him to say it out loud.
* Can also be found in Pantheon/LegalProcess.

[[BastardBastard None better embodies all Westeros mistrusts and stereotypes about bastardy]].

* A big fan of the Bolton tradition for [[FlayingAlive flaying]], [[ForTheEvulz mainly for fun]]. Starts with the fingers and toes for maximum pain. He likes to put a piece of the flayed skin in his threatening letters. Fabius Bile was rather amused by his skinning ability and inflicting terror, while Ramsay was amused by Leatherface's habit of wearing human skin. He likes to trade skins with him for stuff.
* His BerserkButton is being told he's a Snow, at which he will try flaying the person who said so. He '''hates''' his status as a bastard, though [[BoomerangBigot will insult others for any bastardy]]. All other bastards despise him for his sheer depravity. Yes, [[EvenEvilHasStandards even Marcello and Goro Akechi]], though the latter did cheer when [[spoiler:he killed his sociopath of a father]].
* Many of the atrocities that he commits is due to his insecurity over being a "Snow", the surname given for bastards where he is from, and attempting to overcome that through pleasing his father. However, [[ForTheEvulz he also commits these horrible actions because he gets a sick pleasure from doing them]]. Most evil-aligned gods are either [[EvenEvilHasStandards disgusted]] or [[PragmaticVillainy think he needs to reign it in]].
* Has a heated relationship with his own father. Roose is almost as sadistic and sociopathic as he is, but while Ramsay suffers from [[StupidEvil compulsion to be cruel, getting in the way of Bolton success]], Roose [[MaskOfSanity keeps a lock on his insanity]] and prefers PragmaticVillainy. Ramsay's not stupid persay, he just doesn't care. There's an understanding of each other's evil nature and Ramsay wants respect from his father, but neither trusts each other and expect a backstab. [[spoiler:Which happened anyway when Ramsay killed Roose. The ascended Roose plans to find a LoopholeAbuse to the sin of kinslaying [[FateWorseThanDeath in the worst way possible]].]]
* Simple torment of his victims isn't enough. [[MindRape Ramsay most enjoys using a combination of physical and psychological torture in order to break his captives completely]]. This often involves presenting [[HopeSpot a false hope]], and then [[HopeCrusher ripping it away at the last second]]. AM was impressed by his work in physical and psychological torture, and wants to use these studies to further torture the remnants of humanity imprisoned in his being.
* A big fan of hunting...[[HuntingTheMostDangerousGame young women and girls]], [[SerialRapist raping and]] [[SerialKiller killing]]. Ironically, Ramsay himself came to be because [[ChildByRape Roose Bolton raped a miller's wife]]. He's in deep denial at this, claiming it was a "love at first sight" scenario. Whether this hints at some atom of humanity in him, nobody can tell. This disturbing passion for raping girls is something he has in common with the Yellow Bastard, who's stench reminds him the original Reek [[VillainousFriendship he used to be buddies with]].
* Applied for the position of torturer in the Grand United Alliance of Evil. Melkor was impressed, reminded of how he had tortured Elves into Orcs when he saw how Theon was turned into Reek. Dolores Umbridge showed him her quill. However Ramsay feels this takes the fun out of it, as he himself is not doing the cutting.
* Giddy with sadistic delight when he got to enter the House of Pantheon/{{Slaughter}}, due to all the different means of torture and mutilation. He quickly became friends with Dr Trager because of [[EvilHasABadSenseOfHumor their depraved humor]] and on occasion [[FauxAffablyEvil pretending to be friendly]]. Also they like to mutilate fingers [[GroinAttack and genitals]].
* Lionel Starkweather likes to record videos of his flayings, finding them to be a masterpiece of torturous art. Freddy Krueger was impressed by the unhinged [[SerialKiller serial killer's]] methods of inflicting pain, and Ramsay seems to like his creative kills. Dr Weil has also suggested that Ramsay could work for him, though will need some study if he has to find out what makes Reploids and other robots suffer.
* [[ItAmusedMe For fun]], he likes to claim that he's [[SarcasmMode the kindest man in Westeros]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJptaHqta1Q using manipulative editing to achieve this prank]]. When in a FauxAffablyEvil mode he taunts castration victims [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-VajYFFTGk with pork sausages]]. He does claim he's not a cannibal, though that's probably just out of personal taste than any standards.
* Got really bored once and tried to beat Gordon Ramsay in a sausage cooking contest. The other Ramsay was immediately disgusted and hates the fact they share "Ramsay" in their name. Osiris hates the Bastard of Bolton not just for his sadistic psychopathy, but for his castration and mutilation of Theon hitting close to home.
* Though he used to control a pack of dogs, Ramsay Bolton now fears all canine deities, especially [[Pantheon/{{Canines}} The Hellhounds]]. [[spoiler:This is probably because he was ''[[DevouredByTheHorde eaten by his hounds]]''.]]
* Though he claims to have defeated Stannis, Stannis points out that in the books he's still around, and implies he has some plan to defeat the Boltons. Many believe that this claim of Stannis' death is merely a ploy and part of his plan, considering the idea that 20 good men could wreck his army is laughably implausible.

* Wary of: [[Pantheon/TraitorArchetypes The Spy]]
* Ever since his son Michael was killed at the hands of freelance terrorist Castor Troy, FBI agent Sean Archer wants nothing more than to put an end to the madness Castor unleashes. With Castor captured and a bomb about to explode in Los Angeles, Sean agrees to a risky procedure that has him taking Castor’s face in order to find the bomb. Things get chaotic when Castor, waking up from a coma with his face torn off, demands the surgeons put Sean’s face on him. With Castor now in the role of Sean and vice versa, the two discover a lot about each other’s personal lives as they work their way to a violent rematch where things get much more personal than it previously had been. In the end, Castor is killed and the face transplant surgery is reversed, with Sean now returning to the home life he previously neglected and having adopted Castor’s son Adam as a means to keep the latter away from a life of crime.
* Sean was more than aware that peace was never permanent and an urgent meeting with the FBI a few months after Castor’s defeat marked such an occasion. The meeting mentioned that not only has the technology to recreate someone’s face has gotten more advanced, but there were reports that Castor somehow survived and was planning revenge on Sean. When Sean asked who provided that information, he was told that the informant refused to reveal their true identity, but that they were involved with a much larger group that could provide Sean help and that the informant survived an encounter with Castor, who was aware of where the informant was from and what resources was accessible. While it meant that Sean’s family life was at risk once again and that spending time with his family will be reduced as well, he promised that he’ll do what he can to keep them safe, especially if it meant making sure that Adam couldn’t be exposed to the newfound dangers Sean was about to face off against.
* The experience of taking on the identity of someone else was more than an interesting experience for the two and while Sean has agreed to only take on similar face swaps only for critical missions, Castor is willing to do the same thing if it meant making things harder for Sean or anyone else pursuing him. There were plenty of other ways for someone to take on the lives of someone else in the Pantheon and there were plenty of duos who went through such an event, though such occurrences were supernatural by nature and the few such as Koh who actively tried to steal other faces was an unsettling prospect for both Sean and Castor. One such duo who swapped roles with each other without needing magic trickery that got Sean and Castor’s attention was spy Ange le Carre and Princess Charlotte, who both looked similar enough that they’ve changed places with each other on a regular basis. Their willingness to take on each other’s roles for the sake of their mission was something that Sean took notice of if he were to be more effective in missions involving face swapping, with Castor similarly understanding how the girls’ similar appearances contributed to them deceiving others and how harder it would be to maintain a facade while swapping faces with someone else. Ange and Charlotte on their end find the idea of people literally replacing their face with someone else to be disturbing and while Castor has different plans that don’t involve going after royalty, him being a terrorist involved with identity theft has made the girls worried about dealing with a similar psycho who can put up a convincing facade of Ange and/or Charlotte while threatening their allies.
* Yoshikage Kira was someone who appealed to Castor and it wasn’t merely over the fact that Kira indulged in killing people and did so via explosives. It was because Kira took over the identity of a man he killed named Kosaku Kawajiri and stole part of his face in order to cover his tracks. Kira’s time as Kosaku also included winning over Kosaku’s wife much like what Kira did to Sean’s wife, but while Shinobu was none the wiser about the real Kosaku’s actual fate, Eve was able to find out that Sean and Castor switched identities after learning that the two have different blood types and hearing the story of her first date with Sean. Knowing that Kira will be a source of great animosity for Sean, Castor is more than willing to let Kira join him in causing chaos, especially since Kira’s unusual powers will help in covering their tracks. While Kira is more inclined to live a quiet life to avoid notoriety, he’s willing to indulge in some explosive mayhem with someone who engaged in similar identity theft as he did in the past.
* Regardless of whether or not tearing someone’s face off is involved, putting on a disguise and pulling off a convincing facade as the subject has been a regular part of trickery and deceit within the Pantheon and The Spy has done such actions often. He has proven to be a bit of a headache for Sean and Castor to deal with given The Spy’s expertise in disguises and how hard it can be to tell if he’s really allied with them or ready to backstab them when the time is right. An even more damning possibility related to The Spy is that at the behest of someone, he can disguise himself as either Sean or Castor and have them waste time with him when the real target is somewhere else fulfilling some sort of mission. The Spy doesn’t need to tear someone else’s face off for his disguises, but his general trickery is going to be an asset for him when it comes to engaging in the gunplay that Sean and Archer are normally involved with, regardless of whether or not he’s taking part in a mission with either party.
* Castor managing to find work with additional terrorists and other criminals has made Sean’s work in stopping them harder due to how many of them are running around, combined with Castor’s awareness that being connected to said terrorists will get Sean to go after him. The fact that some of these terrorists and criminals have access to advanced weapons amused Castor and while the thought of unleashing attacks with elaborate weapons amused him, he’s inclined to stick with more straightforward methods such as guns and bombs. Some terrorists and criminals in the Pantheon had outlandish methods of carrying out their attacks such as The Joker, but Castor being a terrorist-for-hire meant that The Joker and other terrorists looking for criminals to aid in their attacks are willing to get his help in being someone who is skilled in their trade to fend off anyone trying to stop them. The Joker is no stranger to mixing craziness and brutality into his schemes, making Castor a great partner for The Joker even if he isn’t a permanent member of whatever criminal gang The Joker has currently set up.
* Sean wasn’t the only person who became driven by revenge after seeing his son get killed and while becoming a more serious person after such a traumatic event is common among those who went through such a thing, some have gone on a darker path as a result of it. Frank Castle was one such person who saw his family get killed and went on a violent path towards vigilantism in the name of revenge. Castor was merely another crook for Frank to gun down if they crossed paths, but Sean was more than understanding of why Frank wanted revenge even if he saw Frank’s actions as self-destructive. To Frank, seeing Sean was like looking at [[Film/ThePunisher2004 a potential past of his as an FBI agent]] and while Sean’s dedication to his work as an FBI agent is one thing, there was only so much Sean could do to stop crime while other similarly bad events or worse are happening elsewhere.
* Losing Michael was a dark moment of his already-serious life, but Sean was able to find a second chance at raising a son through meeting Castor’s son Adam, who he was able to raise away from a life of crime after defeating Castor. Such a scenario got the attention of Jax Teller, a man who became a darker person and took measures to ensure that his sons wanted nothing to do with crime even if said sons would hate him for his past actions. Given how worse of a person Castor is overall, Jax found some relief in how Sean not only had a second chance at being a good parent despite the circumstances regarding his job, but that he was able to help a kid distance himself from a life that was arguably worse than Jax’s gradual slippage into evil. Sean’s focus on getting revenge on Castor to the point that his personal life deteriorated also brought to mind Jax’s desire for revenge and how it ruined his life, but Jax was never able to recover from it compared to Sean.
* As an FBI agent, Sean learned how many different organizations are out there in the Pantheon dedicated to protecting people. Castor being a former CIA agent before turning to terrorism isn’t as widespread of a fact compared to Sean’s profession, but being in the Pantheon has given Sean time to see how these groups operate and Castor has seen those groups as another thorn in his side in addition to Sean. Not only that, but Sean has learned just how involved the FBI was regarding high-profile criminals and the ramifications of said interactions with them. While Sean is willing to work with fellow FBI agents Will Graham and Claire Starling, the psychological torment the two endured regarding wicked serial killer Hannibal Lecter has given Sean a lot to be concerned about if he’s confronted with a game of wits against someone who is great with words. As for criminals that the FBI has confronted, Raymond Reddington was someone who Sean is wary of given Red’s criminal history and enigmatic motives and Castor sees Red as a criminal that cannot be trusted due to how involved Red was with aiding the FBI.
* Castor’s brother Pollux is the one person he genuinely cared about and they have worked together in carrying out crimes. Hans Gruber was someone who Castor was interested in by virtue of being a criminal with a sibling, but unlike Castor and Pollux’s strong bond, Hans and Simon apparently never worked together and they didn’t seem to like each other that much. The two have their disagreements, chiefly regarding Castor’s belief that Hans and Simon working together would make the Grubers more effective and Hans finding the idea of a face transplant surgery to be outlandish, but they have otherwise worked well together when it comes to committing crimes. For Sean, Hans being on par with Castor when it comes to criminal activity (not to mention Hans having plenty of smarts to make himself more of a challenge to go after) has only made trying to pursue Castor more difficult, not helped by Hans and Castor working together from time to time.

* Unclear relationship: [[spoiler:[[Pantheon/MurderAndAssassination SCP-173]] (Ted)]]
* Pitied by: [[Pantheon/{{Endings}} The Love That Moves The Stars]]
* Applies to all of them:
** The evil supercomputer AM [[CreativeSterility can only destroy and cause suffering]], not create. When it launched WorldWarIII, AM was left with five humans to torment. And through its godlike powers, it has cursed them with immortality and tortured them for 109 years. Sticking each in an IronicHell, AM goads them to plays its games with the hopes of finally being allowed to die. [[FateWorseThanDeath And no matter how false that is, they desire that escape]].
** [[Literature/IHaveNoMouthAndIMustScream In the original short story]], four of the five survivors are put out of their misery while Ted [[AndIMustScream suffers an even worse fate than death]]. [[VideoGame/IHaveNoMouthAndIMustScream Things can be different in the game]], they can test their character and have the slim chance of taking down AM once and for all, [[spoiler:and a small portion of humanity surviving due to being frozen on the moon]]. They're interested in John Connor because of his expertise in fighting machines, and hope to eliminate any and all influence of AM.
** Their hell leads them to despise the torturers in the pantheon, particularly those who wish to inflict a FateWorseThanDeath on others such as the Gravemind. Dr Weil too, as his own predicament, war crimes [[DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans and wanting to inflict eternal dystopia on others]] essentially makes him a cyborg version of AM. SCP-106 wishes to use his powers [[ColdBloodedTorture to have "fun"]], and while Nurgle thinks otherwise what he inflicts would easily be a horrific fate for them. As suffering immortals, Prometheus, SCP-1440 and Czeslaw Meyer are pretty sympathetic towards them and vice vera.
** The Love That Moves The Stars is highly sympathetic towards their anguish. Each is trying to escape their Hell and grow as people, so He is working hard to ensure they find their happy ending. He has warned them to stay the hell away from [[Pantheon/{{Dimensions}} Silent Hill]], since the last thing they need is a GhostTown [[SelfInflictedHell populated by horrific monstrosities made to fit a specific person]].
* Applies to Gorrister
** Gorrister had the most mundane job, a trucker. Imprisoned in an electric cage, he fell to despair before AM got his hands on him as he institutionalized his insane wife [[ItsAllMyFault and has been consumed by guilt for it]]. In reality, it was [[ObnoxiousInLaws mother-in-law]] who did so, and the key is overcoming his guilt complex. This guilt complex leads him to perfectly understand where Shinji Ikari is coming from, and the two are working to completely overcome their inferiority complex. He can also understand the guilt complexes of Raiden and how Celestia Ralgris feels. He's contemptuous towards Lady Tremaine for being an abusive mother and step-mother.
* Applies to Benny
** Benny was once a handsome [[ArmouredClosetGay closest homosexual]] reduced to a hideous ape-like man [[GagPenis with a large member]] and was forcibly made heterosexual. Mentally dulled in the books, but retains his intellect(even if he can't speak) and spends time in a primitive village. Because of his own hang-ups about his orientation, he can understand where Juzo Sakakura is coming on with him. Cuuko is saddened that he is forced to be attracted to someone he's not naturally attracted to, though they only get along whenever Benny isn't a {{Jerkass}}. Not a fan of Buck or Herbert Garrison as they represent the more depraved ideas about the LGBT community that, in part, makes up his homophobia.
** Used to be a psychotic military commander who hid the fact he was a [[TheSocialDarwinist social darwinist]] that killed his men if they showed compassion, found him out, or discovered his homosexuality. The key is to learn to feel compassion towards others, namely the mutant child. He seems to get along with Jake Sully given their military background and how after their transformation they eventually became better people, though Jake wasn't evil. [[TheAtoner Benny understands any reprehension he may have]].
* Applies to Ellen
** Ellen [[TheSmurfettePrinciple is the only woman of the group]], and like Gorrister her faults originate from an outside source. A brilliant engineer with a future ahead of her, [[RapeAsDrama she was brutally raped]] by a man in a yellow jumpsuit in an elevator. [[SerialRapist And she's only one of at least twenty]]. The result is a crippling fear of yellow and the inability to even testify against him due to her trauma. Her prison is full of yellow, and she has to overcome it to get the GoldenEnding. Rape victims like Casca and Mitsuko share her sorrow and sympathies. She seems fond towards James Henry Trotter for overcoming his own fears.
** Due to her past rape and fear of the color yellow, Ethan Roark Junior is perhaps the most horrifying god in the pantheon other than AM itself. The third being YHVH, given His godhood and megalomania combined with the color yellow reminded her of AM ([[EvenEvilHasStandards YHVH was offended by the comparison]]). The Yellow Bastard managed to catch her, but it backfired because she realized he was impotent without screaming and already castrated ''twice''. She proceeded to beat the ever-living daylights out of him until he was a greasy yellow smear on the pavement.
* Applies to Ted
** Ted is the UnreliableNarrator, a paranoid narcissist and conman who romanced single women out of their money. In the pantheon, he's on speaking terms with Makoto Itou for being ladykillers who can be jerks, but have potential to become better. He seems annoyed Cal Hockey for remaining an unchanging HateSink, as it reminds him of his faults.
** Ted's fate is the most horrendous of them all. [[MercyKill For putting the other four out of their misery]], AM turns him into an immobile blob unable to kill himself, to torture forever, [[AndIMustScream not even having a mouth to scream]]. The microscopic silver lining is that the others are free, and AM itself is trapped within its own programming, suffering along with him. And according to one account, there is something even worse in store for him; [[spoiler: [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/peace-i-would-settle-for-that Ted is SCP-173]], twisted into that form and assaulting people both from pure madness and hoping that someone manages to put him out of his misery. If AM is SCP-682, this makes 682's terror of the thing LaserGuidedKarma. Ted himself deeply fears 173 as [[BadFuture a nightmarish future form of himself]], and 682 as a future timeline version of AM.]]
* Applies to Nimdok
** Nimdok is the oldest of AM's prisoners. Having memory problems due to his old age, AM sees him as a kindred spirit and is given a quest to jog his memory. AM needs his research. The horrible truth was that he was a Nazi working in the concentration camps with Josef Mengele. And a traitor to his race and family, having sold out his parents to hide his Jewish parentage. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone He was horrified by this]], and has the chance to find some sort of atonement.
** Nimdok actively avoids any Nazi god out of shame for his past, and they seek his genius to continue the horror. He avoids the likes of Fabius Bile and Anton Arcane for wanting his research as well. Dr Ludvig wasn't fond of Nimdok initially given what the Nazis did to him, but due to trying to repent and avoiding other Nazis using their knowledge for evil he's starting to warm up to the doctor.

* Pitied by: [[Pantheon/RockAndMetal STARSET]] (Winston and Julia)
* InAWorld... well, [[CrapsackWorld one where]] [[{{Dystopia}} everything in the state of Oceania is under the thumb of a totalitarian government]] helmed by Big Brother, a man named Winston secretly detests the system and seeks to reform it. He makes an unlikely partnership with a woman named Julia, make love and manage to spring up a sense of hope. They also encounter several people, most notably O'Brien who claims to be a rebel leader fighting against Big Brother's tyrannical regime. All seems well... until Winston and Julia are suddenly captured and thrown into prison. It is here that O'Brien truly reveals himself as a mole to the government. To prove a point that Big Brother's ideals are eternal and that power is what matters, he and his cohorts sadistically torture Winston and Julia [[TwoPlusTortureEqualsFive until every one of their spirit and hopes are completely broken down and all they have left to embrace is the teachings of Big Brother]].
* O'Brien ascended into the Pantheon not long after Big Brother himself did. However, because of the mysterious nature of that government, O'Brien wasn't given any notice for the time being, not even when Big Brother was making notable relations with Darkseid, YHVH and Sauron. However, he sooner realized that the Pantheon was a massive place filled with hope, ideals and many things Big Brother vehemently opposed. He decided to take steps in leaving his comfort zone when it comes to dealing with threats. It'll take time, but he'll assure himself of Big Brother's victory.
* Winston and Julia entered the Pantheon a lot later than Big Brother and O'Brien did. If anything, hardly anyone noticed who they were because, for the longest time, they acted under the pretence that they loved Big Brother. They were initially huddled near one of Big Brother's territory until they found themselves exiting unknowingly and stepping foot on an unfamiliar piece of land. It's here that they were finally recognized and taken to a therapy centre to figure out how they were so devoted to a system so tyrannical and devious.
* Unsurprisingly to anyone, Winston and Julia found the Pantheon to be a much better place and setting than Oceania and Airstrip One. Discounting the fact that they now have the freedom they desired so much, but that there's more than just that, such as the way people treated one another, the abundance of trust and hope and the free exhibition of emotions when back then, there was hardly ever such things as those and the slightest display of strong emotions outside of loyalty to Big Brother was punishment. The differences were so drastic it almost felt alien to Winston and Julia.
* While they represent the House of Pantheon/{{Slaughter}}, Winston and Julia do not like the place one bit, especially given how they themselves were tortured in an effort to wash off any semblance of hope and free will from them and instead made residence somewhere at the House of Pantheon/JobsAndProfession. This was rather pragmatic as the two of them have a work specialization, with Winston working on writing and editing and Julia being good with mechanics. They've also tried to see if they can earn enough money to start a small business of their own together.
* Because of the excruciating torture they had gone through, Winston and Julia are clearly not over it. While Julia still retains some semblance of wanting to help for a greater good, even if it's almost completely reserved, Winston has devolved into stuttering praises for Big Brother. Also not helping is how their love for one another has completely dissolved, though they themselves are not responsible for it.
** The House of Love tend to take extreme pity over their situation, with some of the members offering meetups to Winston and Julia in the hopes of opening them up and providing a sense of optimism. This gesture did not go unnoticed by the Houses of Knowledge, Language and Philosophy as well, though it's Love that is most active in trying to help the two out. For one thing, Winston and Julia are rather curious to see the topic of true love, which is certainly helping for the latter as he's beginning to get back some sort of hope.
* Offred is sympathetic to Winston and Julia because of how Big Brother's system meant that they were never able to have a decent relationship with their families plus the fact that the birth control in Oceania is incredibly militant. She seeks to help the two of them out, especially Winston, given that while in recovery, he's still in the stupor of worshipping Big Brother a lot. Katniss Everdeen, a Dystopian survivor herself is willing to lend a hand, alongside teaching the two survival skills in case they have to fend for themselves. While she knows the horrors of an authoritative government gone too far thanks to President Snow, he was shocked to see how brutal and sinister the totalitarian regime of Big Brother was.
* Guy Montag and Captain Beatty were also intrigued by Winston, Julia and O'Brien, mainly due to some of the Dystopian similarities they share. However, Guy came to sympathize with Winston and Julia pretty quickly and was completely appalled to see how Big Brother and O'Brien advocated in distorting and abridging written history and books in such a way it becomes either inaccurate or non-existent to people. Captain Beatty and O'Brien stuck a friendship due to their interest in destroying literature and written archives as a fashion for mass psychological sedation and control.
* Baldi hates O'Brien immensely. Not just because 2 + 2 = 5 is an obviously wrong equation to a completely average question, but also because the said equation is actively preached and enforced unto others as a way of mental torment and subjugation. And because Big Brother is an immensely scary and strict ruler and system, Baldi really can't do much, despite [[BerserkButton how much he hates math questions going wrong]]. O'Brien personally finds this amusing and wants to enforce this onto Baldi just to prove his point. Unfortunately for O'Brien, just because you can't corporally punish a system of government [[DontMakeMeTakeMyBeltOff doesn't mean the same is true of the individuals that make it up]].
* Being a top proponent for torture, O'Brien struck a [[VillainousFriendship friendship of sorts]] with Junko Enoshima. Junko herself was ecstatic on Big Brother and Room101, stating that it's one of the best things she's learned about and aims to learn more and take notes. While Junko couldn't enter Big Brother's domain as her [[AxCrazy voracious]] and [[LargeHam hammy]] personality would come off as too noticeable by Big Brother's surveillance, they settle for meeting up in the ''Mines of Torment'' section of the Pantheon/GUAEDystopiaHarbingers.
** There is also Desaad and Ramsay Bolton. O'Brien gets along with them and works perfectly in sync with the former as he too specializes in torment. The latter, however, is a difficult predicament as Ramsay sometimes comes off [[StupidEvil flimsy and ditzy in his evil]] and O'Brien feels as if Ramsay doesn't take as many precautions as he should. Conversely, while Ramsay is impressed by O'Brien tact of psychological torture, he also thinks he should get physical as well for extra enjoyment. O'Brien disagrees mainly because the torture Ramsay inflicts is [[ForTheEvulz entertainment]]. While O'Brien also admits that his preferred method of torture is also because he wants to be malevolent about it, he also thinks there should at least be a point to it.
* Darkseid has great expectations for O'Brien, given that he's a villain who's managed to succeed in outsmarting and defeating his enemies and seeks to have him as a mole, given that O'Brien's eloquent personality and his average appearance means he can go around monitoring others around the Lord of Tyranny's territory plus he can lull unsuspecting targets to torture. Given how Darkseid and Big Brother's relationship is very strong, O'Brien reciprocates this with glee. The God of Apokolips has also thought about having the concept of Room101 and {{Doublethink}} be implemented in his views of torture as forcing someone to illiteracy means tighter control.
* Because his philosophy is centred on [[TwoPlusTortureEqualsFive torture into blind obedience, illiteracy]] and [[HopeCrusher destroying hope]], O'Brien is an antithesis to Madoka Kaname. Madoka, in general, finds the concept and ideals of Big Brother to be horrid, but can't do anything about it due to the events of the Rebellion. O'Brien has some respect for the [[Pantheon/{{Advertising}} Incubators]], but favours Darkseid because his method of control and controlled torment is closer to Big Brother's intent than the Incubator's [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist supposed intent of keeping universal balance]]. Because Darkseid already hates Madoka for simply being a {{All Loving|Hero}} HopeBringer (which also reminds him of Superman), O'Brien has plans for sedating her to despair once he's prepared.
** That said, he more actively deals with Kouta Kazuraba and Yusuke Godai, another pair of heroes who champion ideals and hope. O'Brien finds their efforts of trying to make smiles aggravating as does Big Brother, given that what they represent is something that they attempt to mentally imprison. This also extends to Twilight Sparkle, whose relationship and love with the Mane Six and the very concept of friendship is a total anathema to the views of O'Brien and Big Brother.
* Despite his Quasideity rank, O'Brien is actually very feared among those who personally know of him and he has gained himself a reputation equal to that of an Intermediate God. He's vicious in a psychological fashion, which very few can anticipate, to begin with, and O'Brien is more than welcome to display why. While he isn't a member of the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil, some of its members begrudgingly do admit to respecting his reputation and efficiency.
* If there's one deity that does give O'Brien pause for concern, it would have to be the anarchist codenamed "V", Not just because V actually succeeded to destroying a totalitarian government similar to The Party (though that certainly didn't help). But V once successfully slaughtered a group of Thought Police O'Brien sent after a "thought criminal" and hacked into The Party surveillence systems so that everyone in Airstrip One saw the corpses V left, in short leaving a mess Big Brother and his subordinates are still scrambling to clean up. V stealthily even left a message for O'Brien telling him that he's one foe he'll never be truly rid of, [[YouCannotKillAnIdea the fact the Party still demonizes his goals is all the proof in the world they will never beat him.]] O'Brien refuses to admit it outright, [[DoubleThink even to himself]], but that did shake up his confidence at least a little.
''"They'll shoot me I don't care they'll shoot me in the back of the neck I don't care down with big brother they always shoot you in the back of the neck I don't care down with Big Brother."''
->Winston\

''"Confession is not betrayal. What you say or do doesn't matter, only feelings matter. If they could make me stop loving you - that would be the real betrayal."''
->Julia\

''"We are not interested in those stupid crimes that you have committed. The Party is not interested in the overt act: the thought is all we care about. We do not merely destroy our enemies, we change them. Do you understand what I mean by that?"''
