* When ''Film/AcrossTheUniverse2007'' begins, Jude is happily dating Molly and Lucy is happily dating Daniel. Then Jude and Lucy find each other, and a plot ensues. Also, Sadie and Jojo, much to Prudence's chagrin.
* Jake and Neytiri from ''Film/{{Avatar}}''.
* Marty [=McFly=] and Jennifer Parker, as well as Emmett Brown and Clara Clayton, in ''Franchise/BackToTheFuture''. The former is already established as such since the first movie, further reinforced by the end of the third when [[spoiler:Marty manages to prevent an accident that would have left him disabled in the future portrayed in the second movie (2015)]], thus leading to a more prosperous relationship in the new future. The latter is born as a result of a lucky change in history, as Clara was fated to die before Marty and Emmett saved her life in September 1885; they're revealed to have two children ([[ShoutOut Jules and Verne]], collectively named after [[Creator/JulesVerne the science fiction writer]]) by the end of the third movie.
* ''Film/ErinsGuideToKissingGirls'': Erin and her friend Liz have been the best of friends since kindergarten. [[spoiler:When Liz finally admits her feelings for Erin at the end, they share a DanceOfRomance in the hallway, signifying that [[RelationshipUpgrade they've become this]].]]
* ''Film/FinalDestination4:'' Nick and Lori are the only lead couple in the series who are in a stable relationship throughout the entirety of their film. They get a SickeninglySweethearts moment in their first scene, live together and make decisions together, and each seems to care more about the other's survival than their own.
* Peeta and Katniss in ''Film/TheHungerGames''.
* The official couples in ''Film/HarryPotter'' are, surprising absolutely no one, the same as in the novels, at least until the last film makes Neville/Luna an official couple.
* Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse:
** Tony Stark and Pepper Potts are the Official Couple for the latter half of Phase 1 and all of Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They get their RelationshipUpgrade in ''Film/IronMan2'' before appearing as the Official Couple in both ''Film/{{The Avengers|2012}}'' and ''Film/IronMan3''. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, at the beginning of Phase 3 with ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'', Tony and Pepper are separated partly due to Tony deciding not to retire from being Iron Man.]] ''Film/SpiderManHomecoming'' and ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'' show that the two of them are back together and engaged. In ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', [[spoiler: they marry and have a daughter Morgan.]]
** Thor and Jane Foster become an Official Couple in the [=MCU=] towards the end of Phase 2, after Thor [[spoiler:elects to remain on earth and be with Jane]] at the end of ''Film/ThorTheDarkWorld''. ''Film/ThorRagnarok'' reveals that they're not together anymore and by the time they meet again and reconcile in ''Film/ThorLoveAndThunder'', [[spoiler:Jane succumbs and dies to cancer, leaving Thor single once again]].
** Hawkeye and his wife Laura are an official couple as of ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron''.
** Scott Lang and Hope Pym in ''Film/AntMan1'' and ''Film/AntManAndTheWasp'' have a RelationshipRevolvingDoor, though they do care for each other. In ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', they have a BattleCouple moment and are seen embracing in the denouement.
** Vision and Wanda Maximoff in ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar''.
** At the end of ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', Steve Rogers [[spoiler:goes back in time to be with Peggy Carter]].
** Peter Parker and Michelle "MJ" Jones are dating by the end of ''Film/SpiderManFarFromHome''. [[spoiler:However come ''Film/SpiderManNoWayHome'', this ends up being undone due to Strange having erased everyone's identity of Peter in order to save Multiverse. When Peter meets her, he ultimately decides to leave her and Ned in the dark to keep them safe from other enemies that might exploit Peter's identity]].
%%* ''Film/NightOfTheLivingDorks'': Philip and Rebecca become this at the end.
* [[Film/OnHerMajestysSecretService James Bond and Tracy di Vincenzo]]. This is the film in which the (in)famous [[TheCasanova Casanova]] finally decides to settle down. Pity about [[spoiler: the DiabolusExMachina]]. Three decades of movies later, and he almost has another in [[Film/TheWorldIsNotEnough Elektra King]]. Pity about [[spoiler: her being the [[TheManBehindTheMan Femme Fatale behind the terrorists]]]]. Interestingly enough, Bond ''was'' intended to have a steady girlfriend in [[Film/DrNo Sylvia]] [[Film/FromRussiaWithLove Trench]]RunningGag of him always being called away on missions when they're about to have a moment but this was dropped after two films.
* In ''Film/OurMissBrooks'', the cinematic finale to the series of the same name, official couple Miss Brooks and Mr. Boynton finally get married.
* Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann in the ''Franchise/PiratesOfTheCaribbean'' films, complete with [[spoiler: the most awesome wedding imaginable]] in the [[Film/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanAtWorldsEnd third movie]].
* Neo and Trinity in ''Franchise/TheMatrix'' are together throughout the original trilogy, and ''Film/TheMatrixResurrections'' more-or-less explicitly confirms them as [[OneTrueLove soul mates]] who will always find their way back to each other.
* ''Film/SkyHigh2005'' has Will and Gwen [[spoiler: which gives way to Will and Layla after Gwen proves to be [[UsingYouAllAlong using him all along]]]].
* ''Film/TheSorcerersApprentice'' has Dave and Becky.
* In ''Film/StarTrekIntoDarkness'', Spock and Uhura are still going strong.
** This continued, though through a bit of a rough patch, in ''Film/StarTrekBeyond''.
* After a WillTheyOrWontThey tease spanning [[Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration the whole series]], Riker and Troi were definitively shown as a couple in ''Film/StarTrekInsurrection'', and ''Film/StarTrekNemesis'' made the pairing even more official by opening with their wedding.
%%* ''Franchise/StarWars'':
%%** Han and Leia in the original trilogy. Notably, [[TheHero Luke]] doesn't get ''anyone'' until the ExpandedUniverse rolls around, aside from Leia kissing him once to mess with Han's head (a scene infamous for its ''retroactive'' {{Squick}}).
%%** Anakin and Padme in the prequels.
%%
%% Per ATT thread here https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/query.php?parent_id=83435&type=att Rey and Kylo Ren are not an example of Official Couple. Do NOT re-add them without bringing the matter up in ATT, Discussion, or the Is This An Example thread. Thank you.
%%

* Sam and Quorra from ''Film/TronLegacy''. And in the [[Film/{{Tron}} first film]], Tron and Yori - and their User counterparts Alan and Lora. The deleted scenes and novelization play it up.
* ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'':
** Edward and Bella are the main romantic couple of the series, although there is a love triangle that takes place between Bella, Edward and Jacob.

** ''Film/XMenDaysOfFuturePast'': Iceman and Kitty Pryde in ''The Rogue Cut''. [[spoiler:In the AlternateTimeline, that seems to have been erased because Bobby is with Rogue again, and Kitty is presumably with Colossus.]]
** ''Film/Deadpool2016'': Wade Wilson and Vanessa Carlysle are engaged.
** ''Film/XMenApocalypse'': Erik and Magda are married.
