* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed/TheDCU
[[/index]]
----
* ''Franchise/{{Barbie}}'' [[WesternAnimation/{{Barbie}} movies]]:
** ''WesternAnimation/BarbieInAMermaidTale'': A fish wearing lipstick clearly based on Creator/ZsaZsaGabor, what with that Hungarian accent and even saying "dahlink".
** ''WesternAnimation/BarbieInRockNRoyals'': The three (former) Camp Pop mean girls: Sloane resembles Music/SkyeSweetnam, and her sidekicks resemble Music/ChloeXHalle and Music/DuaLipa.
* {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d in ''WesternAnimation/BeeMovie'' when the protagonist notices the "Bee Larry King" looks exactly like the human Larry King. Made even funnier by the fact that "Bee Larry King" is voiced by the real Larry King.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheBraveLittleToaster''
** The hanging lamp is yet another animated Creator/PeterLorre clone. The air conditioner is Creator/JackNicholson. Both were voiced by Phil Hartman. [[NightmareFuel/TheBraveLittleToaster Both haunted the nightmares of children for decades]].
** Radio is Creator/JonLovitz doing Walter Winchell, down to his CatchPhrase sign-off.
* ''WesternAnimation/CatsDontDance'': [[http://www.cdd4ever.com/Backlot03/CDDMSheets/DarlaMS01.gif Darla Dimple]]. Compare with Creator/ShirleyTemple.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Coco}}'': Ernesto de la Cruz bears more than a passing resemblance to Pedro Infante. However, Pedro is shown as another skeleton (and named by Ernesto himself) in a brief cameo along with his partner Jorge Negrete.
* The maggot companion of the ''WesternAnimation/CorpseBride'' is a dead ringer for Creator/PeterLorre.
* Franchise/DisneyAnimatedCanon:
** ''WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast''
*** Lumiere is based on Maurice Chevalier.
*** Gaston has a Creator/BruceCampbell vibe to him.
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}'':
*** Jafar was based on actor Creator/ConradVeidt, who played the villain from ''Film/TheThiefOfBagdad1940'' (who, fittingly enough, was named Jaffar). Aladdin himself was drawn to resemble Creator/TomCruise.[[note]] He was ''originally'' drawn to resemble Creator/MichaelJFox, but they eventually changed his design when it was decided that they wanted to make the character older (Aladdin was originally supposed to be about twelve years old). [[/note]]
*** While doing many straight-up parodies throughout the movie, the shape-shifting Genie [[TheGenieKnowsJackNicholson explains the rules of bringing people back to life as a zombie Peter Lorre]].
** The vultures in ''WesternAnimation/TheJungleBook1967'' are patterned after Music/TheBeatles. Oddly, while they do have a musical number, it's a barbershop quartet song as opposed to something sounding similar to the Beatles rock tunes. Supposedly it's because Walt didn't think the Beatles actual music had much staying power.
** King Candy from ''WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph'' included both the voice and the caricature of Ed Wynn's "Perfect Fool" character--both taken from Wynn's Mad Hatter from Disney's production of ''WesternAnimation/AliceInWonderland''.
** Hades from ''WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}}'' was modeled after Jeffrey Katzenberg, who was one of the head honchos at Disney who left the company shortly before the film got made.
** Cruella de Vil of ''WesternAnimation/OneHundredAndOneDalmatians'' is more-or-less a parody of flamboyant actress Creator/TallulahBankhead. They even share the VerbalTic of addressing other people as "darling" (which they pronounce as "dahling").
** Jane in ''WesternAnimation/{{Tarzan}}'' is very different from her version in the book. She's British instead of American and has a genuine interest in learning about gorillas. She's essentially Jane Goodall but with gorillas instead of chimps.
** In ''WesternAnimation/{{Moana}}'', Tamatoa the crab was re-written at the last minute (mainly just his song) as an homage to David Bowie, due to his recent passing.
* The Prime Minister of Australia [[note]]Whom we can infer is John Howard by process of elimination[[/note]] makes a cameo as one of the dentist's patients in ''WesternAnimation/FindingNemo''.
* ''Franchise/TheIncredibles'':
** Edna Mode, who is heavily based on acclaimed costume designer, Edith Head.
** ''WesternAnimation/Incredibles2'' has Evelyn Deavor, who is heavily based on avant-garde performance artist, Laurie Anderson, to near exact facial feature arrangement, hair-style, and clothing style -- with a heavy dash of Patti Smith also thrown into the mix of the latter.
* ''WesternAnimation/InsideOut'': Joy is specifically designed to resemble Creator/AudreyHepburn, down to her signature "pixie" haircut.
* Beetle in ''WesternAnimation/KuboAndTheTwoStrings'' was modeled off of Creator/ToshiroMifune. It's even more apparent at the end when his human form is revealed.
* ''WesternAnimation/MrPeabodyAndSherman'': Penny Peterson looks suspiciously like Music/TaylorSwift.
* In ''Animation/NextGen'' the trope goes for a hat trick, with IQ Robotics being an expy for Apple, and Justin Pin and Dr Tanner Rice being obvious stand-ins for Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak respectively.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}}'':
** Auguste Gusteau's life story is [[https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/13/AR2007081300990.html modeled]] after that of [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_Loiseau Bernard Loiseau]], an acclaimed chef who committed suicide in 2003 after a negative review by food critic François Simon knocked his restaurant, La Côte d'Or, down three points in ''Gault Millau''. Director Creator/BradBird had previously visited the restaurant while in France.
** Anton Ego's appearance was inspired by French actor and director Louis Jouvet. It's also been claimed (though not confirmed) that Ego was based on theater critic Kenneth Tynan, who was close friends with Peter O'Toole in real life. Furthermore, his scathing judgment of dishes and intimidating personality bring to mind Gordon Ramsay.
* Gum from ''WesternAnimation/SausageParty'' is based on Creator/StephenHawking, down to the electric wheelchair and computerized voice.
* ''Franchise/ScoobyDoo'':
** In ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooMaskOfTheBlueFalcon'' , Owen Garrison is clearly made to be Creator/AdamWest, complete with Creator/JeffBennett doing an impersonation of him. Also, his characterization echoes Simon "The Gray Ghost" Trent from the ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'' episode "Beware the Gray Ghost". Even the part about him being banned from wearing the Blue Falcon costume by the producers of a new movie about the character is taken from real life, based on an incident where Clayton Moore was sued by the producers of ''Legend of Franchise/TheLoneRanger'' over his continued appearances as the character taking attention away from their movie.
** In ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooAndTheGhoulSchool'', [[FrankensteinsMonster Frankenteen Senior's]] voice sounds vaguely like Creator/BorisKarloff, while [[Film/ThePhantomOfTheOpera1925 Phantom Father's]] is an obvious impersonation of Creator/PeterLorre.
* Sykes from ''WesternAnimation/SharkTale'' almost sounds like Creator/GilbertGottfried. He actually sounds (and looks) exactly like Creator/MartinScorsese, who provided the voice of the character.
** Heck, almost every character in Shark Tale is modeled after a celebrity.
* ''WesternAnimation/Shrek1'' has Lord Farquaad, widely rumoured to be modelled on Disney's then-CEO Michael Eisner, as a TakeThat on the part of the film's executive producer (and former Disney executive) Jeffrey Katzenberg. His kingdom is a parody of the Ride/DisneyThemeParks. And Shrek [[http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YzgmV9oieA4/UQ1n975rEAI/AAAAAAAAAfg/rArteQyXQ1w/s1600/Maurice+and+Shrek+Attack.jpg bears a very strong resemblance to "The French Angel", Maurice Tillet]]
** ''WesternAnimation/PussInBootsTheLastWish'': The voice of the cricket conscience is meant to resemble that of Creator/JimmyStewart.
* In ''WesternAnimation/TurningRed'', Ping bears a strong resemblance to the late comedian Lydia Shum Din-Han.
* ''WesternAnimation/TopCatAndTheBeverlyHillsCats'': When Top Cat is playing pool and sinks all of the balls blindfolded, the gang asks him how he did it. Top Cat then pulls out a picture of someone he claims to be his "teacher", whom the gang recognizes as "Minnesota Cats".[[note]]In this case, he's likely a reference to the real-life pool player who started using "Minnesota Fats" as a nickname, and not the original character from ''The Hustler''.[[/note]]
