----
!! Amniote contains examples of the following tropes:

* AbortedArc: Originally, "The Pyramid I: Landfall" was intended to be the kickoff of a series of songs based around the band's D&D campaign. However, among other reasons, the song itself was not much liked or played live by the band, and the D&D campaign was ultimately rebooted. There are currently no plans to follow up the first installment.
* ArtifactTitle:
** "555" has completely different lyrics than what it started out with. It retains its name partially because of the time signature and partially because that's how the band knows it.
** "The Pyramid I: Landfall", as mentioned above, was originally to have been the first in a series of songs.
* AscendedFanboy: Noah was a longtime fan of the band and had thrown his hat in the ring to play bass several years before finally getting the gig in 2021.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: While Brandyn was a member, this could have been applied to the band:
** Cole: Phlegmatic
** Brandyn: Sanguine
** Tyler: Choleric
** Galen: Melancholic
* FiveFiveFive: Subverted. The band has a song called "555", but the lyrics were completely changed and now have nothing to do with the title. The original lyrics play the trope straight, albeit metaphorically.
* HeavyMithril: "The Pyramid I: Landfall" was based on a D&D campaign the band plays.
* InsistentTerminology:
** Galen likes to style himself as providing the "percussion".
** The band are also fond of calling the vocals "vox".
* PunnyName: Galen has said that the title of "Rooster" is wordplay on the name of one of his childhood bullies.
* RevolvingDoorBand: The laundry list of different bassists qualifies the band as this. Jake, the original bassist and one of the founding members, left to pursue his own musical interests, whereupon Tyler replaced him. Following Brandyn's exit from the band, Tyler assumed vocal duties and a new bass player, Relish, was recruited. Relish left after several months due to life circumstances dictating he move. Alex Johnson was the next bassist, but he, too, was soon to leave. Mongo stuck around for a while but also ended up having to step down. Noah, the current bassist, is an AscendedFanboy.
* SelfBackingVocalist: In "Cloak of Selene", there are parts where Tyler backs himself, most noticeably at the end of the song.
* ShoutOut:
** The song "Moons of Mercury" is one to Music/RingsOfSaturn.
** The title of Counterfeit Gods is, in a roundabout way, a reference to SCP-2714.
* SongStyleShift: "Washed Up" has a noticeably lighter interlude about a third of the way through.
* SopranoAndGravel: Tyler does this to himself on "Cloak of Selene".
* TakeThat:
** The song "Washed Up" contains one to one of Brandyn's former bands.
** "Moons of Mercury" and "Geriatricide" are written about some of Galen's extended family.
* ToTheTuneOf: The music for "Rooster" was originally the song "Revealment" from Cole Robertson's solo project Arc Shock.
* UncommonTime:
** "How the Gods Punish" is composed in 15/8, varying between triple time (3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3) and quintuple time (5 + 5 + 5).
** "Geriatricide" is written in seven.
** "555"…well, guess.
