[=N00b22222=] (simply known as Noob) is a Let's Player and gameplay commentator who has been uploading videos to Website/YouTube for nearly six years. Recorded simply with a camera, Noob's videos feature a wide variety of games leading up to sixth generation titles, as he does not own any of the seventh or eighth generation consoles (with the exception of the Platform/WiiU). With 700+ videos under his belt and over 2,000 loyal subscribers, Noob's laid back presentation and commentary have been well-received among viewers, making him a fairly reputable member of the LP community (although he seems to be unaware of or apathetic to it).
----
!!Noob's works provide examples of:
%%* invokedAlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Frequently, by Noob himself.
* invoked AnnoyingVideoGameHelper: In Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, he becomes annoyed by his teammates killing most of the enemies, since he is trying to earn XP for Iceman, who he's playing as.
* invoked AntiClimaxBoss: The final Green Goblin fight in Spider-Man: The Movie, in which Noob uses impact webs to finish him off instead of close-quarters combat. This is lampshaded by him immediately.
* In Def Jam: Fight for New York, Noob nearly gets his ass handed to him but manages to send Crow flying out of a window to his death within the first two minutes of the fight.
* AntiHero: Portrays himself as such when playing superhero games, often taking advantage of VideoGameCrueltyPotential and averting ThouShaltNotKill.
* AllWorkVsAllPlay: Noob had a job throughout much of his time on Youtube, but kept a balance between that and the videos. This was what usually contributed to the numerous hiatuses he took.
* AsHimself: In any LP of a game that allows character customization. This sometimes creeps into other [=LPs=], in which he applies his personality to the playable characters.
* AtomicFBomb: Lets out a hearty "FUCK!" after failing a certain rescue mission in Ultimate Spider-Man.
* BashBrothers: Noob and Vicious. At least when they're on the same team.
* BloodierAndGorier: A lot of the games Noob plays are relatively tame in terms of graphic violence. There are a few exceptions, though, such as his videos on VideoGame/ZombiU and Resident Evil 4.
* BloodKnight: Noob is all too pleased to throw down in combat-oriented games, and often goes out of his way to destroy his foes in the most spectacular ways possible.
* BrainsAndBrawn: Vicious is more calm and eloquent compared to Noob's tough guy persona.
* BriefAccentImitation: Does a very cheesy impression of Elephant Man's Jamaican accent in Def Jam: lFight for New York.
** Noob actually does this a lot, often mocking characters who he finds annoying.
* CausticCritic: Averted; even though he can be irritated by certain game mechanics, he's always been optimistic about what he plays, saving his general praise for the end of his [=LPs=].
* Cliffhanger: A lot of his hiatuses take place in the middle of playthroughs where a pivotal arc is taking place. It doesn't help that some of the videos end right smack-dab in the middle of the action or before big boss battles. The most recent offender is Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, as the last video uploaded in the LP ends shortly after a major character death and a villain .
** The worst offender has to be a video in his Def Jam: Fight for New York LP, which abruptly ended just before one of the final fights in the game.
* CombatPragmatist: Seizes any opportunity to use the environment or objects to win fights.
* ConvenientWeaknessPlacement: Noob finds electric batarangs right as the level that features plant-based opponents with a weakness to electricity begins. He doesn't seem at all surprised by this, though.
* DramaticReading: Noob narrates the level "briefings" in Hulk with the urgency of a movie trailer announcer, often leading to word fumblings and Engrish. Became a RunningGag for the LP.
* Determinator: "Defeat" is not in Noob's vocabulary. In fact, losing only motivates him further.
* TheFaceless: Zig-zagged. For most of his time on Website/YouTube, Noob was only a voice behind a camera. In 2014, he revealed a Twitter account in which his true identity was shown, but the account was short-lived and it has seemingly vanished without a trace. He is now anonymous once again.
* FailedASpotCheck: There are several moments where Noob is stuck trying to figure out what to do or where to go next, and the solutions more often than not are staring him right in the face.
** His Spider-Man: The Movie LP has him miss quite a few combo collectibles; one of which even floats right past him.
* ForebodingArchitecture: Noob is quick to notice when big boss battles or ambushes are coming based on this.
* Foreshadowing: Noob describes Russell's boss battle in Bully as "Gladiator without the swords and shields". Fast forward to Edgar's battle near the end of the game, which has makeshift weapons and shields, and a coliseum-like arena. Noob even makes the observation that it's "really like Gladiator now".
* HiddenDepths: Has written two books in his spare time, and was a stage actor in high school.
* InsistentTerminology: Appears a few times.
** Hulk: Noob refers to the gamma mutants as "blue genies". Doubles as a ShoutOut to WesternAnimation/Aladdin. In both Hulk [=LPs=], he also refers to hulk-sized enemies or bosses as "Hulk wannabes".
** Batman Vengeance: Noob jokingly calls the communicator the "Bat Blackberry", upholding the tradition of Batman's bat-themed gadgetry. In the same game, he refers to a Jack-in-a-box as a "Joker-in-a-box".
* ItMayHelpYouOnYourQuest: Noob first finds electric batarangs in the second chapter of Batman Vengeance, but he eventually discovers their usefulness in the third chapter, when he is fighting Poison Ivy's plant mooks.
* LampshadeHanging: Appears quite often. Noob likes to make notice of cliches or other tropes in the games he plays, whether they're accurate or YMMV on his part.
* OffScreenInertia: Lampshaded by Noob during Batman Vengeance. One level has him navigating a train to save Batgirl from Trenchcoat; the entire level is timed based on Batgirl's health and you can hear her clearly struggling to survive. However, once Noob catches up to them, Batgirl doesn't seem overwhelmed at all, and Trenchcoat only makes a weak attempt to grapple her.
--> "What were you doing the whole time?!"
* OhCrap: Despite knowing of it beforehand, The Vulture's bomb gauntlet in Spider-Man: The Movie puts Noob into a state of absolute panic as he tries to ascend the clock tower.
** The R.H.I.N.O. boss fight in Ultimate Spider-Man". Already low on health, Noob becomes absolutely frantic as he attempts to dodge his opponent's bull rush attacks and the resulting car explosions.
* OrphanedSeries: His Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and Batman: Dark Tomorrow [=LPs=] have never been completed. Only two parts have been uploaded for both. While Batman: Dark Tomorrow is understandable given how notoriously bad it is, the sudden departure from Web of Shadows is odd.
** Waggle could be the culprit, since Noob expressed frustration about the Wii remote's efficiency, which seemed to kill most of the fun he was having.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Upon nearing the Flux battle in Hulk, Noob is overwhelmed by respawning Hulkbusters and elects to run once he realizes the fight is unwinnable and he is close to death.
* SirSwearsALot
* SnarkToSnarkCombat: Noob and Vicious during their playthrough of Super Mario Bros. 3.
* TheSpock: Noob ends up being the only one with rationale and common sense at times when characters make dumb decisions.
* SuspiciousVideogameGenerosity: After finding out that electric batarangs can OneHitKill the plant mooks in Batman Vengeance, Noob quickly notices the video game catering to that exploit by planting a supply of electric batarangs in a nearby room when the level starts.
* TheStrategist: Averted. Noob openly admits that he is more of a fighter than a tactician, and usually approaches most situations in his playthroughs with brute force if the option is available. His Hulk LP perfectly encapsulates this dynamic.
* invoked ThatOneLevel: Stealth missions in general are this for Noob, as he'd rather much crack skulls than sneak around and use subversion. However, he will navigate through them with decent results if it means progressing to the next level.
** Some of the more difficult fights in Def Jam: Fight for New York overwhelmed him, if only slightly.
** The ice level in Mr. Bones made Noob seethe with rage, and that is quite an accomplishment. When he finally finished the level, he was practically cheering.
** The Electro chase in Ultimate Spider-Man was a major piss-off for him, since the chase was random and playing as Venom for the mission's entirety left a lot to be desired; it only started getting enjoyable once Noob was able to actually fight Electro.
* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: Mentioned several times by Noob during some of his [=LPs=]; he often laments about the wasted effort of taking enemies down personally rather than practically dispatching them.
** He becomes more peeved than usual when he's forced to save the Joker and Harley Quinn in Batman Vengeance, admitting that he'd rather let them die.
** In Ultimate Spider-Man, Noob also expressed annoyance at having to save Silver Sable from Venom. Sable had just attempted to kidnap Peter and threatened his family prior to this. Needless to say, Noob considers her expendable.
* YouSayTomato: In one of the Super Mario Bros. 3 videos, Noob and Vicious have a comically drawn out debate over the pronunciation of Luigi's name. Noob insists that it is "yoo-eee-gee" while Vicious argues that it is "loo-eee-gee".
