Each segment of a race is a half hour long, usually uploaded on Fridays, and the original format was winner got to choose the next game (but if the winner also chose the game, then the runner-up got to choose the next game).

6	The person who chooses the game also sets the rules for that game with the most prevalent one being "No Save States" since not everyone is playing off an emulator, but some races have averted this due to NintendoHard difficulty, long length and/or lack of infinite continues. Starting in December 2014, the series underwent a drastic format change to be more like a Seasonal/Grand Prix format with everyone in the group getting to pick one game per season and the order is determined by the previous season's rankings: 1st place picks 1st game, 2nd place 2nd game, etc.

8	After Season 5 ended, it was decided that the seasons would at first take a hiatus. But at the end of 2016, it was announced that seasons would be discontinuing. From this point forward, any races on the channel would mostly be of games suggested by viewers.

10	Battletoads was the last race to follow the weekly Friday upload schedule. As of May 2017, any future races would have all parts uploaded on Mondays.
