The creator of the website [[http://www.remembercomic.co.uk/ Remember Comics]] [=LyingInBedMon=] (usually shortened simply to "Lying") is the online persona of Tim Maughan. Primarily known for his online webcomic inspired by ''Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick'', Lying also runs several LetsPlay series, plays/runs {{Role Playing Game}}s with LetsPlay/TheDragonHat, and is a friend to members of the LetsPlay/{{Yogscast}}. Tim's work is characterized by his love of long-reaching storylines, and his varying characterization depending on which series he is recording. Thanks to an ongoing multiverse plotline, Lying's personality can vary dramatically between videos.

Following through to the Yogscast Complete server from the Chaosville Server, wherein his series theme was the recreation of classic Horror Movie settings, specifically the ''Well in the Woods'', Lying's recent Minecraft series on the Yogscast Complete pack is ''The Witch in the Woods''. This series takes his previous theme up a rather disturbing notch by focusing on the recreation of a horror ''antagonist''... via his own Minecraft character.

Lying has another Minecraft series running on the Resonant Rise 3 modpack called ''Yokai Temple'', in which he plays a priest who (initially) aims to protect the inhabitants of the server from the monsters and angry spirits in their world. After a while, this Lying begins to dabble in magic that he shouldn't, a practice encouraged by [[AmbiguouslyEvil a brain in a jar]].

The third Minecraft series on Lying’s channel uses the Absque Sole subpack of Resonant Rise 3. ''Knight of Fangs'' follows the adventures of Sir Lying of Baedmahn and his squire Fuzz. Later in the series, the Band of the Fox, a group of mercenaries, appears to join the two. Sir Lying and Squire Fuzz [[spoiler:(and, later, the Band)]] are [[OurWerewolvesAreDifferent werewolves]], and the series details the Band’s mercenary adventures along with Lying and Fuzz' quest to master and ultimately rid themselves of their lycanthropy.

Other series include Atlantis, Maid-ing Do, The Return, The Haunting, and The Forbidden Lyings

Lying maintains a complete list of all Lyings [[http://lyinginbedmon.tumblr.com/lyings here]].

----
!!Lyinginbedmon provides examples of the following tropes.

[[folder:General]]
* CosmicMotifs: His characters tend to have some relation to the stars; whether it be pining to return to the stars, wearing clothing with night sky symbolism, praying to them, or talking about their deaths, once you start noticing all the stars you will see them everywhere.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Lying is well known for the beautiful blonde hair he puts on most of his characters, and for being a pretty swell guy.
* HumanOutsideAlienInside: Redmakers, while they look human and seem human, humans don't typically have redstone inherently in them that allows them superhuman abilities that are viewed as normal for the species.
* MeaningfulName: His online name originally came from his affection for the animated series Franchise/{{Digimon}}, however, his reliability and honesty is usually called into question in series, making the name ''Lying'' doubly appropriate.
* Pacifist: Lying himself is not much for fighting and imploys a pacifist philosophy, though they have learned to fight.
* SpidersAreScary: Lying has a phobia of spiders.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Witch In The Woods]]

* AlternateTimeline: The main theme behind his gradual development into a monster. In the most [[NightmareFuel nightmarish way possible]]. Lying is basically [[spoiler: cannibalizing their other-selves from alternate realities, killing themselves across a thousand realities, and stealing their life-force to stay alive. This is the origin of Kyofushin, who is basically the ghost of every other version of Lying ever killed.]]
* AmbiguousGender: Part of the fanon (possibly AscendedFanon) for Lying's character is that the character in question is gender-neutral.
* AMillionIsAStatistic: We have no idea who most of the Lying's the Witch killed only a few like possibly Atlantis!Lying, but we sure know it is a lot!
* CuteAndPsycho: His Minecraft Persona has massive shades of this. One can't really blame him after being [[AndIMustScream trapped in a well for decides]].
* DontGoInTheWoods: For that's where the Witch resides.
* DrivenToMadness: Averted. His Minecraft character was ''already crazy'' period to his quest to become a horror villain.
* EstablishingCharacterMusic: The first thing in the series you hear is an eerie music box tune.
* FriendlyRivalry: With LetsPlay/KirinDave, although there may very well be more to it than currently meets the eye given what Kirin did to him on the Chaosville server...
* HiddenAgendaVillain
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Designed a Well that only opened during certain times during his stint on the Chaosville server. he was trapped in his own well by LetsPlay/KirinDave with whom his character had a friendly rivalry. As of his arrival on the Yogscast complete pack Lying has apparently been trapped down there for years.
* ImmortalitySeeker: Part of his goal at recreating himself as a horror antagonist is to make themself impossible to be killed
* NeverFoundTheBody: Every Lying that was devoured
* NobodysThatDumb: At the end of episode 24, Kyofushin appears again. As Lying blatantly lies about being sorry for how he's treated the ghost, the thing walks into the ritual circle... That is then used to seal Kyofushin into a spectral stone.
-->'''Lying:''' I cannot believe that worked.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Presumably, since he was seemingly in that well for debates without dying or aging... even he doesn't understand why.
* OminousMusicBoxTune: His ''Witch in the Woods'' series and his Chaosville series both include a rather disturbing musical box opening complete with the occasional off-putting FreezeFrameBonus
* SealedEvilInACan
* SealedRoomInTheMiddleOfNowhere: The way Lying was left at the end of his series on Chaosville, trapped in the bottom of his own recreated horror scene.
* ShutUpKirk: [[spoiler: After Kyofushin points out all the monstrous things that Lying has done, Lying is quick to point out that if the positions were reversed, it would have done the exact same thing.]]
* SinisterSurveillance: The Witch's ravens are watching anyone who catches the Witch's eye, and no one but the Witch even knows.
* TearsOfBlood: Almost. Lying has a red line above his eyelids, somewhat resembling eye shadow which is in fact [[http://lyinginbedmon.tumblr.com/post/99026343857/the-lowdown-on-lying intended to be blood.]]
* ThenLetMeBeEvil: The more Lying interacts with characters throughout the series the more obvious it becomes that he's developed from FriendlyRivalry with other characters and a mild taste for horror to somebody ''actually seeking vengeance'' for his mistreatment.
* ThroughTheEyesOfMadness: This has definitely begun happening to Lying's character more and more during his quest to obtain immortality, including [[http://youtu.be/trWNRdpQqJ0 this rather creepy sequence]] from ''Witch in the Woods''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Yokai Temple]]

* BigBadassBattleSequence: The ambush of Kirin, well as big and badass as you can get with Minecraft.
* Bittersweet Ending: [[spoiler:Despite successfully beating the Witch and redeeming Kegare, Shisai manages to lose control of their godly powers long enough while angry to accidentally speak a curse against Redmakers, erasing at least one from existence and potentially every other one Lying has ever talked to throughout the series, or even every one that exists on that plane potentially. We never learn if this action ever was reversed or what happened to these people or the whole scope. As you can imagine this is pretty traumatizing to Shisai.]]
* CorruptTheCutie: As a consequence of talking to [[TheCorrupter Kegare]], Lying, the almost saintly priest who initially had only the utmost respect for gods, has slowly become bitter towards them, and has started to practice magics that may get him into trouble.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu?: [[spoiler: Basically no one watching was expecting Priest Lying to be able to beat the Witch thanks to their intense power and basic immortality, but the Priest made it look like child's play]]
* ImpossibleTheft: Stealing from a god's hidden shrine tends to be pretty darn impossible, luckily for Lying, Kegare managed to discern where the shrine was. Without Kegare's help, it would likely be impossible for anyone else.
* GodIsFlawed: Lying has begun to think this since his prayers asking the gods for information about other universes remain unanswered.
* GodIsInept: Lying begins to think this towards the end, angry at them for keeping secrets and not doing anything to help him.
* GodlySidestep: None of Lying's gods will speak to him.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: [[spoiler: Lying after he realizes what he's done at the end of the series, giving up the power of his god and going back to taking care of his people, and spending his days hoping its enough to redeem himself to the same god]]
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:While Priest does defeat the Witch, they have left quite a wake of destruction in their way. From Angering gods to what could have been viewed as an accidental genocide. Priest definitely broke more than they fixed]]
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: After seeing [[spoiler: the fiery ruins of LetsPlay/KirinDave's house]], Lying spends the first minute of Episode 19 panicking, telling himself that [[BlatantLies everything is fine]].
* SealedEvilInACan: [[spoiler:The Witch really cannot get a break in not getting sealed in claustrophobic areas, thus back into the can they go]]
* SlowlySlippingIntoEvil: [[spoiler:Most of the series is one long slowburn corruption arc for Lying-Shisai and it is only at the very end of the series does Lying realize how far he's fallen.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Knight of Fangs]]

* AFatherToHisMen: Sir Lying is quite protective of his group, [[spoiler: he is also literally a more father-like figure to them thanks to him transforming them into Werewolves]]
%%* BewareTheSillyOnes: Czol
* BloodlessCarnage: As this is a ''Minecraft'' series there really isn't any actual blood to be seen.
* BondVillainStupidity: [[spoiler: Kirin when they didn't go on to slay Sir Lying when they had them cornered.]]
* ClearTheirName: Foli about vampires, especially the ones he's acquainted with.
* CurbstompBattle: [[spoiler: Kirin when they attack the band's camp.]]
* CycleOfRevenge: [[spoiler: The relationship between Kirin and Sir Lying]]
* DisproportionateRetribution: Sir Lying decades every single vampire is to be killed, no matter how much they are doing to negate their predatory nature, one must wonder how much of this is based on their interactions with Kirin.
* FurAgainstFang: After a confrontation with a vampiric Kirin, the series becomes about the fight between the Knights and Kirin.
* GoodIsNotNice: Sir Lying can be quite cruel especially about his prejudices, believing in a genocide of the vampires being necessary, despite most of them really just wanting to be left alone and not cause trouble.
%%* IWillFindYou: Garion about [[Spoilers:Kirinndave]]
* LoonyFriendsImproveYourPersonality: Most of the band is, eccentric at best.
* MookHorrorShow: During the first interaction Kirin is certainly much more scared of Sir Lying than Sir Lying is of them.
* NobleDemon: Kirin, though not very good, is actually all things considering was actually quite kind to the Knights during their ambush, only driving them into there cave and even offering them a chance to join up with them and become vampires. [[spoiler: Which Garion who had been looking for Kirin, quickly took up.]]
* NobleWolf: When it's not about Vampires, Sir Lying is very noble and incredibly intelligent.
%%* PoliteVillainsRudeHeroes: Kirin and Sir Lying
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Foly refuses to follow Sir Lying's orders of vampire genocide, even helping the Den of Sin escape Sir Lying.
* VanHelsingHateCrimes: Most of the vampires really aren’t trying to cause harm, this doesn’t stop Sir Lying’s hate for them and desire to see them all killed, this is especially shown in the fight with the [[spoiler: Den of Sin, clients who Lying had only known for a few minutes and showed no signs of attacking anyone.]]
%%* WellIntentionedExtremist: Sir Lying
%%* WolfMan: The secondary form of the Werewolves
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Return]]
* AlternateTimeline: No two Lyings are from the same Timeline.
* ButForMeItWasTuesday: Knight waltzes right into the TARDIS without requiring much in the way of explanation. Nether is pleased.
* EnemyMine: Look no Lying who knows who The Witch is likes to interact with them, and honestly The Witch doesn't like any of them either, but sometimes you gotta put that aside for like a day.
* TeamSpirit: Time for the ultimate crossover of everyone's favorite Lyings to team up and save the day.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Haunting]]
* AbstractApotheosis: Witch Lying claims they are fear incarnate
* BelievingTheirOwnLies: Witch thinks everything they’re doing, everything they’re trying to achieve, is one hundred percent justifiable and what they deserve for what they've gone through.
* FlawExploitation: The Witch taunts Nether about all his failings and issues.
* PsychologicalTormentZone: The Witch puts Nether Lying through this.
* SaltTheEarth: With no other option available to prevent the Witch from getting control of the Tardis, Nether decides to enact what he calls a 'scorched earth' plan by destroying parts of the Tardis to slow down or distract the Witch.
* WhatTheHellHero: Witch gives Nether one of these speeches, while its actual truthfulness is dubious as Witch is a known manipulator, it's still a what the hell hero speech.
* YouCannotKillAnIdea: Witch Lying presents themself as this as to how they are still in the Tardis
-->'''Witch!Lying:''' When one invites fear into there home do you really think it leaves just as easily?
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Maid-ing do]]
* UnspecifiedApocalypse: Something, certainly happened to end the world! It probably has something to do with those hooligans Maid keeps talking about but we don't actually, know what happened.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Come Block Home]]
* ThatPoorPlant: During the first day 0 stream Lying activates a device supposed to harvest one tree. However it proceeded to destroy every single tree that was connected to it, then every tree connected to those, then every tree connected to those, then every tree-
