* Fagin, lost and broken with nowhere to go, decides to pull a HeelFaceTurn and become a new man, until the [[LoveableRogue Artful Dodger]] emerges from behind a lamppost, offering him a wallet he has filched earlier. Fagin inspects it, before the two sing a reprise of "Reviewing the Situation" accepting their status as criminals and HeterosexualLifePartners.
* Dodger, despite initially brushing Oliver off, soon warms up to him and treats him like a little brother.
* A small one, but during the sequence of "Be Back Soon", Oliver, Dodger and the children are just about to leave on the boat, as Fagin dances along the roof. Then he hears a singular voice sing the chorus line delicately and cheerfully to him. He turns sharply and sees Oliver tipping his hat to him. Fagin allows a gentle and touched smile on his face as he and the Dodger leave together.
* Nancy's love for the children (a feeling that's one hundred per cent mutual). Her devotion to them (especially Oliver) never wavers even as things get worse for her.
* The end of the film, where Oliver is reunited with the good noble family who took him in before.
* In "I'd Do Anything," Fagin makes the boys promise that they'd "risk the drop" (execution by hanging) for him. But by the end of "Reviewing the Situation," he's decided that he doesn't actually want anyone to get hurt for him, and after the Reprise decides to start his criminal enterprise over without the crew of expendable accomplices to take the fall (minus Dodger, of course).
* It gets him into plenty of trouble, but Oliver's genuine innocence and wonder as he moves into his new surroundings, proving that the workhouse didn't break him after all.
