Boasting a rich history and developed story, ''Franchise/DragonBall'' has a plethora of bad guys, most of whom are [[EvilIsHammy too over-the-top]], [[LaughablyEvil too hilarious]], or at least [[EvilIsCool too awesome]] to dislike... and then we have ''these'' villains, [[HateSink who show up just to be pelted by rotten eggs by the collective fans]].

[[AC:Manga/DragonBall]]
* 'Mercenary' Tao Pai Pai seems to have been made with the intention of being loathed by the viewers, starting with the very fact that he's the first [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters human]] who murders an innocent guy. After killing Upa's father Bora [[HarmfulToMinors in front of the poor boy]], he laughs at Upa and tells him that he's lucky to still be alive, implying that he has absolutely no qualms against killing children; he proves it by nearly killing Goku soon afterward. One of his worst offenses is when he forces a tailor to overwork on making an outfit for him in about three days, only to kill him anyway as a "reward". When he returns to Korin's Tower to look for the one Dragon Ball he neglected to find, he grabs Upa and throws him against the tower. He also charges eye-watering fees for his services (it's why they call him Mercenary, see) simply because he can. It's taken further when he returns for the 23rd Tournament at the end of ''Dragon Ball'': in addition to coming back from the dead [[ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney thanks to cash]], he is now an extension of Master Shen's feud with Master Roshi. All of the above make his [[CurbStompBattle ultimate defeat]] at the hands of Tien all the more satisfying. WordOfGod adds one more crime to his resume by revealing that Tao murdered Mr. Satan's mentor. Considering how early into the manga's timeline Tao died, this almost certainly means that Mr. Satan was a ''child'' at the time.
* Speaking of which, Master Shen, the Crane Hermit, definitely qualifies thanks to his rivalry with Master Roshi. While Roshi isn't exactly more mature than his nemesis during their feuds, Roshi makes it clear that he would rather stop the rivalry and move on with his life. Shen meanwhile intentionally targets Roshi in order to bring shame upon him (he only shows up at the 22nd Tournament because Roshi's students competed in the 21st), and teaches Tien and Chiaotzu to be cold, callous fighters (Tien himself is rather unlikable until Roshi's influence causes him to turn over a new leaf). Shen's status is cemented when, after Tien refuses to kill Goku in the ring after discovering that Shen forced Chiaotzu to paralyze Goku, Shen orders Chiaotzu to paralyze them both. When Chiaotzu refuses to harm his friend, Shen grabs him by the cuff and attempts to kill him. Luckily, Roshi is able to blast Shen away with the Kamehameha.
* Tambourine, one of King Piccolo's henchmen, seemed to go out of his way to be as loathsome as possible in the short amount of screentime he had. His first appearance has him fight and murder Krillin without remorse, and he goes on to murder other World Martial Arts participants whose only crimes were being a possible (but highly improbable) threat to King Piccolo's plans. An exclusive scene in the anime has him kill a bear father in cold blood, and mocking his son about it. When he encounters Goku, he [[EvilGloating gloats over Krillin's death,]] before beating him within an inch of his life, only winning because Goku was exhausted and malnourished from all the fighting he did earlier that day. When Goku [[CurbStompBattle overwhelms him]] in their rematch, Tambourine shows himself to be a [[DirtyCoward sniveling coward,]] attempting to flee from Goku rather than finish the fight honorably. [[KamehameHadoken Keyword:]] ''[[NoBodyLeftBehind "attempting."]]''

* Dodoria is easily the most despicable of Frieza's subordinates. He [[PsychoForHire enjoys his dirty work]], right down to killing children, and has no other characterization outside of being a {{sadist}}ic, [[DirtyCoward cowardly]] brute.
* According to WordOfGod, Frieza was created around the time of the Japanese economic bubble and was inspired by real estate speculators, whom Creator/AkiraToriyama called the "worst kind of people." He purposely does not draw bad guys so unscrupulous that it affects one psychologically, although he admits Frieza is close.
* Downplayed with Chi-Chi. Akira Toriyama stated that he did not like Chi-Chi's character as much and intended for her to be a stereotypical "[[MyBelovedSmother mean]]" Japanese mother who doesn't contribute much to the show. Her only role was to be a gag character that the other characters disagree with, to keep the main characters from doing their thing (her [[EducationMama education-related goal for Gohan]] is portrayed as an obstacle for the main heroes of the show), and for her to be irrational and unreasonable towards the main protagonists.
* Mr. Shu, the SadistTeacher Chi-Chi hires to tutor Gohan during a filler episode in the Trunks Saga. Every moment of his screen time is spent either openly mocking and trash-talking Goku or beating Gohan with a whip for the slightest transgressions, so it's ''incredibly'' satisfying when Chi-Chi, upon realizing what a scumbag he is, [[DestinationDefenestration throws him out a window]] and then chases him off of her property.
* [[CrapsackWorld Future Trunks's timeline's]] versions of Androids 17 and 18; most notably for their [[HeroKiller unrepentant murder of various important characters]], such as Future Gohan. It's very satisfying to see them [[OhCrap visibly terrified and shocked]] when Trunks comes back and utterly decimates the two in combat.
* Babidi seems to be made to be as unlikable as possible, thus making it all the more satisfying when Majin Buu [[TheDogBitesBack kills him for all the abuse he hurled at him for so long]]. He's an utterly callous villain with a liking for others' suffering, and is also an [[StupidEvil idiotic]] DirtyCoward, in stark contrast to the much more likable Majin Buu and Dabura. He's up there with Frieza in being utterly despicable without even the excuse of being born that way, and for a bonus, he's a BigBadWannabe.
* [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters Van Zant and his partner, Smitty]]. In their first scene, they shoot an elderly couple dead, after which Van Zant revels about how awesome it feels to kill someone. We next see the two shooting people at random in a nearby town before going to Buu's house, which leads up to Van Zant shooting Buu's dog and Mr. Satan, triggering the release of Buu's evil side. All this for no reason other than the thrill of the kill. What's worse is that Van Zant uses Buu's destruction spree as an excuse, reasoning that everyone will be killed eventually, and even going so far as to blame Buu for his crimes. Needless to say, the two of them getting their asses handed to on a silver platter by a furious Mr. Satan (and then being killed by Super Buu in extremely gruesome ways) is very well-deserved.

[[AC:Anime/DragonBallSuper]]
* Zamasu is a JerkassGod who has a hate boner for mortals [[HumansAreFlawed because they often wage war with each other]]. He also hates his own kind since he believes [[TheGodsMustBeLazy the gods are too lazy to do anything about mortals]]. Although he has a point about mortals misusing the knowledge of the gods, fighting with each other instead of learning from their mistakes, and that the gods themselves should do more to stop evil mortals from abusing their power, we as the audience are obviously not supposed to sympathize with him. For one, his rants against mortals are hypocritical since the gods have shown themselves to be just as petty. Zamasu himself also goes beyond the limits when he [[spoiler:tries to kill his master]].
* [[Characters/DragonBallGokuBlack Goku Black]], [[spoiler:who is also Zamasu, albeit an alternate version of him]], is completely devoid of any redeeming qualities, having caused endless misery and destruction upon a number of planets and their peoples. Even the initial mitigating factor of him being a WellIntentionedExtremist falls flat as [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist for all his claims of justice he's shown to be a racist trying to]] [[InTheirOwnImage remake the world in his image]] [[UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans all in the name of his so called utopia]]. If somehow you don't already hate Black for causing random carnage and the second Apocalypse in Future Trunks' timeline, then you will ''definitely'' hate him for [[spoiler:killing Goten and Chi-Chi]]. Even worse, while Frieza was at least raised to be a tyrant, Cell was created to be a killing machine and Majin Buu was born evil, [[spoiler: Zamasu/Black was an apprentice Supreme Kai who was supposed to be good but became an OmnicidalManiac simply due to his delusional and hypocritical beliefs.]]
** While his anime counterpart exposes a calm and intelligent personality, Goku Black's Manga counterpart is childish and outright obnoxious, throwing tantrums when he doesn't get his way and only getting ahead due to luck. His motive for stealing Goku's body and killing him is even more petty than the anime incarnation's. Anime Present Zamasu's StartOfDarkness was all because Goku beat him in what was supposed to be a friendly sparring match. The manga incarnation never even met Goku. He just saw him on Godtube and was disgusted that a mortal managed to gain the power of a god.
* Barry Kahn is an actor for the "Great Saiyaman vs. Mr. Satan" movie. The audience is clearly not supposed to like Barry since he is an insufferable {{jerkass}} who will risk the life of his stunt double just to make a scene look cooler and wishes harm to others for snubbing him.
* Among the twelve Gods of Destruction, Quitela, Universe 4's God of Destruction, is the most amoral of them all. He hates Beerus with a passion, and does all he can to hinder Universe 7's progress before the Tournament of Power begins, by secretly spying on U7, and [[ManipulativeBastard manipulating Sidra]] of Universe 9 into trying to take out Frieza before he could join U7's team. [[spoiler:When U9 was erased by the Zeno's, besides Mojito]], Quitela is the only one who's not even fazed by it, instead just smiling and snickering. [[spoiler: When it's his universe's turn to be erased, he nearly goes on a rampage trying to take everyone else left in the tournament with him before the Zenos wipe him and U4 out.]]

[[AC:Other]]
* ''Anime/DragonBallGT'':
** Eis Shenron is a completely irredeemable DirtyCoward and SmugSnake who goes out of his way to be as despicable as possible. Among other things, he pummels Nuova, his own brother, for criticizing his tactics, [[WouldHurtAChild batters Goku's granddaughter bloody]], uses both as {{Human Shield}}s, uses every dirty trick in the book to win a fight, and begs for his life only to pull off an ISurrenderSuckers and [[EyeScream blind Goku]]. It's incredibly satisfying to watch Goku put his fist through his chest, [[HandicappedBadass while blind]], and then completely obliterate him with the Dragon Fist.
