* Buttercup's BerserkButton of being called "Princess" makes a lot of sense, since she's a {{Tomboy}}, but also because one of her enemies is ''named'' Princess, so when someone calls her that, it sounds like she's being compared to the SpoiledBrat who wants to be a Powerpuff Girl. Of ''course'' she'd be furious!
* A video released on Cartoon Network's Website/YouTube channel reveals the series to be a continuation of the original, not a reboot. Suddenly, the [[TheOtherDarrin other Darrins]] for the girls make sense: they're SUPPOSED to sound older to reinforce that time has passed since the original series. It also explains why the Professor sounds aged, the girls taking elementary school, and the sudden appearance of modern technology such as smartphones.
** This also explains why during the TTG crossover, Tara didn't voice Bubbles despite being on the team. Why would Bubbles sound like her old self again but not her sisters? Especially when she has her 2016 design.
* In the episode "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirls2016S01Ep22OddBubblesOut Odd Bubbles Out]]", we were introduced to the character Chelsea with theme music, text over her head, and a voice-over that says 'Bowl of ice-cream not included.' Sounds like a toy advertisement right? Well, later in the episode it's revealed she is a robot created by Mojo. Her introduction foreshadowed TheReveal that she was a robot! Also, who wouldn't want a super-cute robot girl who's fun to be around as a toy?
* The use of the "No Me Gusta" meme makes more sense when you realize that Bubbles speaks Spanish, meaning that this is probably just as much a CallBack as it is a meme.
* If you think about it, Bliss's perfectionist traits make sense in the context of the show, as the Professor was trying to create the "perfect" little girl. Some of her traits (such as her overly long and complex full name) might have been deliberately invoked.
* Bubbles being a coder/good at computer programming is this if you think about it. What's her special ability again? To perfectly understand multiple languages! And since programming is sometimes referred to as a language itself (for computers), it makes perfect sense for Bubbles to be able to understand it.
* In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirls2016S01Ep26InTheGardenOfGoodAndEddie In the Garden of Good and Eddie]]", Eddie turns into a slender butterfly, but then burps and regains all her fat from being a caterpillar. But it might actually be TruthInTelevision: IRL a butterfly has to squeeze the fluid inside its body into its wings by struggling out of the chrysalis. Eddie didn't do that, so it remained in her body (the scene just played out this way for laughs).
* In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirls2016S01Ep27RoadTrippin Road Trippin']]", the Professor asks Bubbles if she's ready for 'empirical' fun. In chemistry an 'empirical formula' is one that shows the proportions of elements in a compound but not the actual number: the minimal amount you need for the ratio rather than its exact measurements. So, instead of the fun that was depicted at the start of the road trip (the exact measurement), they had 'empirical' fun (the minimal amount, which for some families can be zero).
* In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirls2016S02E23PowerOfFour Bliss Reminisce]]", Professor Utonium answers the door expecting a delivery from the "Ham of the Month Club". However, it turns out to be Mojo. But then again [[LargeHam Mojo is pretty hammy]].

* You know, Sapna never specified if it was just ''romantic'' love that made her turn into a giant spider...
* Sara Bellum was one of the few [[ReasonableAuthorityFigure reasonable authority figures]] and [[OnlySaneMan only sane person]] in the original series. By having her PutOnABus, the city of Townsville took a severe drop in IQ points.

* In "Painbow", why didn't the rainbow have any effect on the Powerpuff Girls? They looked directly at it.
** Well, the girls aren't really like [[AmbiguouslyHuman any normal human]], being created in a lab and all, so maybe they don't get immediately affected by Allegro's powers (until the Party Lobsters directly put Bubbles and Blossom under control). Alternatively, one of the ingredients used to make the girls was "everything nice", which may make the Powerpuff Girls immune to the rainbow's powers since they already have "niceness" in their bodies, "something nice" can't really affect them just by looking at it.
