* The NoBisexuals rule was indicative of the black and white nature of the world, but also has a practical purpose. Because finding a partner is so important, and the whole point of the Hotel, it makes sense to separate gay people and straight people so the men at the straight hotel know that all the women are potential matches, and so forth for all combinations of genders and sexualities. This is why we don't see any gay characters, and why it would be impractical to be bisexual--would you have to go back and forth from the straight facility and the gay facility?
** Obviously it would go against the themes of the film, but [[TakeAThirdOption they could've just made a hotel for bisexuals]].
** Actually, we do see a gay couple the first morning that David eats breakfast at the Hotel. There are two men shown eating together in the couples' area.

* How can anyone eat meat in a world where many animals were once people? Did the Short Sighted Woman know anyone who became a rabbit?
** It's just socially accepted, so it's not questioned. A major theme of the film is how socially accepted rules make people do horrible things to themselves and others, for no other reason than that it's what's socially accepted.
* Where does the hotel get children to assign to troubled couples? From single parents they turned into animals.
