* In "Stupid Mario Party", Kermit tells the group to "chill while I try and murder you guys". The winner (Yoshi) was the one which stood perfectly still throughout while everyone else ran around, he was the only one who ''just chilled''.
* "Stupid Mario Kart" - the karts that everyone uses all make an amount of sense, given how the characters are portrayed.
** Mario - Standard Kart: Too stupid to process anything more intricate than the basics.
** Luigi - Super Blooper: No one takes him seriously, and it's kinda deserved.
** Waluigi - Offroader: Throughout the entire episode, he plays dirty.
** Fishy Boopkins - Booster Seat: He's possibly stupider than Mario, and [[AdaptationalWimp far more infantile]].
** Peach - Classic Dragster: The most sophisticated of the racers (which isn't saying much).
** Bowser - Jetsetter: Sees himself as bigger than he really is.
** Wario - Flame Flyer: Arrogant [[JerkAss douche]].
** Toad - Cheep Charger: [[FishEyes Look at the face he wears when he uses the Golden Mushroom.]]
** Even the fact that [=SMG4=] is in Lakitu's cloud is fitting, as he's [[{{Pun}} above]] this complete nonsense.
* In "Super Backwards Bros.", the twist that the episode is based on one of Bowser's fanfictions makes the character swaps perfect.
** Bowser as Peach and Peach as Mario will allow the two to hook up while leaving Mario as Bowser to get beaten and humiliated. Surprisingly well thought out for an [=SMG4=] video.
** Following that, Bowser's decision to make Toad Luigi makes sense, when "Meet The Toad" showed they sometimes hang out together. However, there's also the rather strong implication that Toad arranges some of the kidnappings of Peach. What does he gain from this? Well, with Peach taken by Bowser, no one bosses or mistreats him and the other Toads (except for Mario himself) for quite a while. Which was also revealed in "Meet the Toad".
** Luigi-Toad is, however, shown to be rather reluctant to save Princess Bowser, also insulting Bowser a few times. Bowser and Toad may be part-time buds, but Bowser is still aware of Toad's actual [[JerkAss nature]].
** A few other swaps also make sense. Waluigi being the Bullet Bills is because of the Waluigi Launcher. And Toadette for Chain Chomp? Well, [[{{Pun}} she's a bitch.]] As in, both a female dog, and a horrible person!
* In "Detective Mario & Pikachu", the twist that Mario stole the statue is excellently [[{{Foreshadowing}} foreshadowed]].
** At the beginning, Mario was in the basement. He says he "also couldn't believe there was some [[TrademarkFavouriteFood spaghetti]] down there". Note he said "also" - he was hiding the statue as well.
** Mario following and being stupid around Detective Pikachu throughout the video - the "Pokémon battle", eating the ice cream and stating Pikachu told him to, rifling through the trash; all things Mario does regularly. Except not: he's really doing it to sabotage the detective while pinning the blame on someone else.
** Mario playing detective. Both times, he finds evidence that leads to someone else being the perpetrator. The first leads Det. Pikachu to the Wario Bros. The second leads them to Luigi, him having delivered the evidence to the Wario Bros. Mario was trying to frame both parties.
*** The above gets some extra brilliance - both parties have motives. The Wario Bros have committed crimes before and have something to hide, so they are likely to have stolen the statue. Likewise, Luigi mentioned having to pay damages caused by Mario, and what better way than to sell a statue for money?
** Mario having "solved cases before". Naturally, he pegs [[AuthorAvatar [=SMG4=]]] as the culprit because he beat Mario in Smash. This turns out to be Mario's motive for stealing Bowser's statue.
** Mario goes to find ice cream in the back of the truck, despite having eaten Luigi's stock. It was so he could call Toad to stop Det. Pikachu from finding out Mario had given the package to Luigi - thus finding out Mario had stolen the statue.
** Look at Mario in the scene when Toad is caught - he jumps around in surprise, then shakes his head at Toad to stop Toad from ratting him out.
* Waluigi's Power Of Rejection. Pretty fitting for the literally-translated "Bad Luigi" to have an evil version of [[VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosBrawl Negative Zone]].
* As the T-Pose Virus is analogous to a zombie apocalypse, it makes sense that the “undead” could be cured with [[OneUp extra lives]].
** In the "Mario and the T-Pose Virus" episode, it might seem kind of weird that a 1-Up can explode into a green cloud until you remember that mushrooms reproduce through spores.
* In "War of the Fat Italians 2018", Wario goes on a long, arduous journey just so he can find a therapist for Waluigi. Why does it take him so long? Well, this is [[CloudCuckooLand the SMG4 Universe]] [[SurroundedByIdiots we're talking about]]. Finding a professional capable of solving Wario's family issues un-ironically is like finding a needle in a massive haystack. That and/or all the good ones were hit with the T-Pose Virus.
* Boopkins did not actually put on weight in between "The Mario Purge" and "Mario And... The Well". The reason he didn't float was because the water in the fire truck was in fact vodka. Also, the reason the policemen "drowned" was due to alcohol poisoning.
* After Bob's infamous speech in "the Mario Concert", a few of his actions in "the Bob Mansion" make a bit more sense:
** He brought a live turkey to the dinner without cooking it. While he's ''very'' far from being a genius, he still has enough common sense to know that you have to cook a turkey before bringing it to dinner (such a mistake would make a lot more sense if Mario had done it). On a second viewing, it becomes clear that this "mistake" was just an excuse to get [[LethalChef Meggy]] into the kitchen to start a fire.
*** As to why he got Meggy and not Mario, who's also a lethal chef? Let's swap their position: Mario's in the kitchen and Meggy's trapped in the room with Boopkins and Saiko. When the trio realize they're trapped in the room, Meggy can simply transform into an Inkling and slide underneath the door and unlock it from the outside. Bob knew about her transformation powers and hence why he sent her to the kitchen.
** He keeps [=SMG4=] and Tari at the table with his bogus story about "Bobsgiving". Initially, this seems like yet another attempt to boost his ego. However, it could also be seen as a way to distract [=SMG4=], definitely the OnlySaneMan in this situation, from what Bowser and Meggy were doing. If [=SMG4=] had been in the kitchen with them, he probably could have stopped the fire from happening at all.
** When everything goes to hell and everyone is trying to put the fire out, Bob's only contribution is to sit around and say "this is fine". While it may be an obvious reference to ''Gunshow'', which isn't exactly out of character for this series, it's also an ingenious example of ExactWords: of course he's fine with it, this is exactly what he wanted to happen!
* Why did Peach blame the destruction of her castle on anime? Bob said "[[Franchise/DragonBall Goku]] did it"!
* It might seem odd that [=SMG4=] chose to release the 3M Collab during the Anime Arc instead of waiting until it's all over, since Meggy has been shown in the thumbnail completely fine when she's supposed to be kidnapped... until you realize that Meggy has been turned into a human, and [=SMG4=] wanted to keep this form a surprise.
* Why did Meggy slap Axol for whipping out his inkweaver in her karate class in "Mario School Club"? Not only was he obviously cheating, but it was his inkweaver that started Part 2 of the Anime Arc and ruined her life!
* In Revalations, it is weird that they call Glitch productions the place that connects all universes, until you remember WebAnimation/MetaRunner and WebAnimation/MurderDrones. (Sunset Paradise is technically in the [=SMG4=] universe).
* [[VideoGame/BaldisBasicsInEducationAndLearning Baldi]] taking the parenting course in "Bowser Loses Custody Of His Children" makes a lot of sense considering [[WouldHurtAChild how he often treats kids...]]
* In "Mario Runs out of Toilet Paper," the toilet paper shortage is caused not by the coronavirus, but by the apocalypse brought about by Papa John, and his fast food horsemen. The connection? Fast food is infamous for causing various digestive issues, like constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, etc. Or in the very least, produces more stools than usual when consumed and processed by the digestive tract.
* In "The Totally Legit Learning Show with [=SMG4=]", during the StrangerDanger segment, [=JubJub=] Boopkins calls a [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild Guardian Stalker]] to protect him. Why? Well, it is a [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin guardian...]]
* OF COURSE Mr. Hal Monitor sees appliances as people! It's shown multiple times in the video that his head is LITERALLY a monitor (blue screening, smashing a donut against his screen, showing a disturbing video to attack someone), to him, a stack of computers is equal to a stack of people! It could also explain his weird morality, as he sees police can't do anything wrong, but bad guys (probably) do. Binary thinking. Like a computer's 1's and 0's?
* Why would [[NiceGuy Shroomy]]'s [[SuperPoweredEvilSide demon hunter past]] show up to attack [[ButtMonkey Bowser]] in ''The Demon Among Us''? In Japan, Bowser (AKA King Koopa) has the title of ''Great Demon King''. Of course, Shroomy would attack him. If you had such a title, you would be hunted by a demon hunter as well. Plus, his Bowsette form has the looks of a demon.
* Naturally when the main cast is in a cage, [[{{Jerkass}} Bob]] wondered why he was in it, just to be screamed at by Saiko for being the one to cause the whole thing to happen. Considering that Bob caused the Series/{{Teletubbies}} to target the castle and nearly ruined the Mushroom Kingdom with anime, it wouldn't be surprising that he would be involved in releasing Shroomy's dark side.
* In "I Can't Believe It's Not [=SMG4=]", the casting makes sense if you see them as members of the main gang's ShadowArchetype.
** Mario wouldn't need one, as he's the main star of the series.
** [[HotBlooded Belle Fontiere]] to [[NiceGirl Tari]], as they're rivals in WebAnimation/MetaRunner.
** [[ButtMonkey JubJub Boopkins to Fishy Boopkins]]. They are brothers and the ButtMonkey of the series. However, [=JubJub=] enjoys pain while Fishy does not.
** [[SyntheticVoiceActor Rob the Scarecrow to Bob the Garo]]. However, Rob was introduced only in Season 10 while Bob has been around since Season 6.
** [[{{Anime}} Whimpu and Saiko]], with both having pink hair and their names being puns of being a whimp and a {{Yandere}} respectively.
** Luigi Doll and Luigi. Must we say more?
** The watermelon representing Meggy and Meggy herself. Remember Mario Alone for the [=SMG4=] ChristmasSpecial for 2019?
* The story arcs, when you thought of it deeply enough, also doubles as a metaphorical TakeThat towards the current internet culture. To wit:
** ''The Waluigi Arc'': Pokes fun at the VideoGame/SuperSmashBros community for a number of reasons, mainly harassing Creator/MasahiroSakurai for shafting Waluigi as an Assist Trophy and pushing long-requested characters into becoming official fighters, not to mention the toxicity of its fanbase in general.
** ''The Rapper Bob Arc'': Criticizes online personalities for trying to pushing their popularity by pointlessly waging wars against other celebrities through their "diss tracks". Such example of this was the infamous "WebVideo/PewDiePie vs. Creator/TSeries".
** ''The Anime Arc'': Pokes fun at the entire anime community in every aspect imaginable, such as the over-abundance of "waifus", the shipping wars, over-saturation of some mainstream anime and anime [[Main/Rule34 R34]].
** ''The [=YouTube=] Arc'': Pokes fun at [=YouTube=]'s many, many disappointments in recent years, such as demonetization, C&D, the existence of clickbait "kid's channels", over-exposure of certain popular online celebrities, the disappointing recent releases of ''[=YouTube=] Rewind'', amongst others. This arc also took the time to address the many issues within the [=SMG4=] community, mainly the Meggy purist, those who complain about the channel's many changes in "[[SeasonalRot quality]]", the infamous ''Mario X Meggy'' shippers, those who hate overarching story arcs, and let's not forget the war between ''Classic [=SMG4=]'' elitists, ''Modern [=SMG4=]'' defenders and those who equally liked both ''Classic'' and ''Modern'' [=SMG4=].
** ''The Lawsuit Arc'': Serves as a ''massive'' jab at ''Nintendo'' for being overprotective of their copyright properties to the point where they incessantly implement [=DMCAs=] to end all fan work based on them and/or involving their characters, including [=SMG4's=] channel.
** The ''Genesis'' and ''Revelations'' Arcs: Pokes fun at the complaints and issues of their own show, from orienting the tone towards dramedy and lore change, to everyone trying to cope with Axol's death.
* A minor one, but why was Ernie wearing the [[VideoGame/FallGuysUltimateKnockout cactus suit]]? Because he was being a [[VisualPun prick]].
* Of course [=SMG3=] would survive the Deleted Dimension. He, and by extension, everyone else in the [=SMG4=] universe are practically made of iron. I mean, [=SMG3=] has been known to survive a fall from the top of a skyscraper without a single injury, a feat which would usually turn someone into a thin paste.
* In 🌽🌽🌽🌽𝓒𝓸𝓻𝓷🌽🌽🌽🌽, [[NotAMorningPerson Meggy decides to sleep in for the afternoon]] instead of helping her friends. This looks especially strange for [[ActionGirl a girl like her]]... until you remember that [[TheInsomniac she had been suffering from insomnia]] in ''WebAnimation/MeggysDestinyAnSMG4Movie'', and is probably trying to recover some sleep. SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome, indeed.
* In "The Corn Trip", when the police start chasing Rob and Bob, Bob refers to them as "the fuzz". While "the fuzz" is a common nickname for the cops, it's also important to point out that our cops are also ''[[BearsAreBadNews bears]]'', which are naturally fuzzy with their fur. Well played, [=SMG4=]...
* In the [=SMG4=] episode "Mario goes to subway and purchases 1 tuna sub with extra mayo", the workers at Subway are fish. Nevermind the fact that their looks are based on the fish seen in [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Spongebob Squarepants, which live in the ocean near a tropical island]], but these guys may be [[VisualPun FRESH]] water fish! After all, Subway's motto is to 'eat fresh.'
* Anti-Shroomy being friendly to [=JubJub=] in ''"Meggy's Part-Time Job"'' makes sense when you remember they worked together under [=SMG3=].
* The one off joke in Bob's Bed and Breakfast near at the end of the episode reveals that Meggy has adopted a cat. When you remember of her depression post-Splatfest, she likely had adopted a comfort pet in one of her attempts to cheer herself up.
* Of course a Tool Gun needs a human soul. By itself, the tool gun is, well, just a tool. When you use it, you are pouring your soul into what you make, even if it's something silly, or stupid. Ultimately, it is you that is the key ingredient in such a device.
* It'd be redundant to say that ''"Sunset Paradise"'''s artstyle is [[ArtShift vastly different]] to [=SMG4=]'s, and it's obviously due to the different tone for a different series, but this isn't really the first time we've seen this. Whenever Mario went to the Undertale and Deltarune's settings, it changed to a ([[DerangedAnimation mostly]]) pixelated look like the games. Evidently, [=SMG4=]'s got so many different locations, they even change graphics.
** [[ItMakesSenseInContext Alternatively, Sunset Paradise had an RTX card, like the one [=SMG4=]'s gang sought after.]]
* Newgrounds is often seen as one of the first animation sharing website on the Internet, dating as far back as 1999. Thus, it makes sense that predecessor of [=SMG4=]'s world, Spudnik's Great Adventure, was filled with characters from that site.
* Since it's confirmed that if the Avatar died, then everything else would be collasping. It's also confirmed that the entirety of the [=SMG4=]-verse took place on an Super Mario 64 emulator. Wouldn't it hurt to believe that Luke had used cheat codes to ensure everyone's MadeOfIron tenacities? Young Luke back then in 2011 probably hasn't realized that in doing so, he ensured not only everyone's safety, but also the BarrierMaiden Mario himself.
** He also most likely only used the codes so he can pull off some AmusingInjuries much easier without the game intruding.
*** To prove this, [[ButtMonkey Luigi]] took a nuke to the face and only had [[MajorInjuryUnderreaction 'Ow']] to say in "Doomsday but Mario is Okay"
* Speaking of that, why is the castle okay once Mario and the [=SMG=]'s return? Because Peach has the Super Mario Maker pad and can just get a new castle.
* Melony's [[HumanityEnsues new form]] is a clear case of DivergentCharacterEvolution (and there's likely only so much you can do with an inanimate watermelon as a character), and said form doesn't resemble Meggy in the slightest, while the other members of [=SMG3=]'s gang resembled their counterparts quite clearly. So why is Melony different? Well, she was never really physically similar to Meggy in the first place, not just because she's a melon, but because that hat and Inkling hair she wore was just slapped on by Mario when he was alone at the castle, rather than a natural feature. When the mask flew on, the wig fell off.
* Upon a few rewatches, something clicked. [=SMG4=] is likely trying to show us just how important the main character is to any form of media, but especially video game characters. Think about this for a moment. In the episode, the Other Universe, Spudnick was killed by Zero, and because of his death, the old universe came unravelled, making it easier for the virus to destroy it. However, it doesn't stop there. In [[WebAnimation/MetaRunner Meta Runner]], one of the copies of Ultra Jump Mania ended up getting confused and eventually crashed itself over the existence of an second Theo in the game. Lucks also took advantage of the game to hack in a version of Theo so he was able to directly communicate with Tari. Knowing this, [[TheDitz Mario himself]] is the main character of [[VideoGame/SuperMario64 Super Mario 64]], which serves as the basis for modern [=SMG4=]'s world. Thus, with all the PaletteSwap Marios running around may have been simply instances of him rather than exact clones, just with different colours and their own control schemes to prevent Mario's universe getting confused!
* Why are the Ugandan Knuckles following [=SMG3=] as of "Perfectly Balanced"? Well, that was where he found his true calling as lord of the Internet Graveyard. In other words, he [[MemeticMutation knows the way]].
* So I rewatched ''"Mario Gets [W o k e]"'', and I noticed something about [[ItMakesSenseInContext the time-bending, universe creator Kawashima saving Mario from YouTube's CEO]], he said he's ''[[PalsWithJesus "A friend watching over Mario"]]''. It later turns out Mario is that universe's Avatar, essentially its life-support. Hence why the universe's creator saw fit to save him when nobody else could.
* Rewatched ''"The Melancholy of Fishy Boopkins"'', and something clicked when [[ItMakesSenseInContext the then-cybog Shroomy wanted to shoot Boopkins.]] We learn down the line that Shroomy is a former demon-slayer a split personality induced by brain damage. It's possible him wanting to shoot Boopkins was Anti-Shroomy subconsciously rising, thinking Boopkins was a demon. This might especially be the case if Shroomy knows about [[EldritchAbomination Boopkins' father.]]
* As terrifying as he normally is, Zero torturing Mario, [=SMG4=] and [=SMG3=] with a rendition of "You Spin Me Right Around" is hilariously comical and out of place. That is, until you remember that Zero is an [=SMG=] as well, and probably has the same appreciation for memes that our [=SMGs=] do.
* This brilliance crosses heavily into Fridge Horror, but regardless. Has anyone noticed in the recent arcs, [[ButtMonkey Axol]] has been SERIOUSLY unlucky with them outside the Anime Arc he was introduced? In the [=YouTube=] arc, he had been sent to the Internet Graveyard with his pen broken, and in the Genesis Arc, he fixed his pen, but gets possessed by Zero, who even merges his pen with himself. This is likely done by the brothers' writing to prevent him from turning the more plot-relevant battles into too many [[CurbStompBattle curb-stomp]] moments and [[MacGyvering him providing ]][[MundaneSolution mundane solutions]], had he kept his pen and therefore, able to summon [[MemeticMutation Ultra-Instinct Shaggy]].
** And now with Axol’s death, Ultra-Instinct Shaggy will never be used again, unless Melony takes up the Inkweaver left in Axol’s apartment.
* Just rewatched "Mario Alone" and found out that Mario made a ''watermelon'' replace Meggy for the time being, the same watermelon would also later on join [=SMG3=]'s gang in the [=YouTube=] Arc, and would also become ''human'' via a Fierce Deity mask in "Mario's Mask of Madness", that watermelon's name is ''Melony''. So Melony is technically Mario's daughter!
** If so, then some of Melony’s traits, such as laziness and childishness, makes sense: she ‘inherited’ them from Mario.
* The Genesis Arc's name can be quite confusing, but it will actually make sense if you know that "Genesis" is Greek for "Origins", and this arc is about [=SMG4=] discovering the origins of the universe and himself.
* Technically, the host of the Squid Games wasn't really lying when they said they're getting lots of money. As anyone would know, you can trade in your console in any games store and get some money back.
* A bit of Fridge Heartwarming, but you might have noticed that after the [=YouTube=] Arc, each member of the [=SMG4=] gang has had moments where they bonded with each of their Anti-Cast counterparts.
** "The Corn Trip" is a whole episode where Bob and Rob bond, specifically Rob choosing Bob to help him on the corn delivery, Bob saving both of them from the bear police, Rob taking Bob to a casino to chill out and most importantly, Bob choosing to win back Rob's corn truck for him.
** Kind of a given with Fishy and [=JubJub=] Boopkins since they're brothers, but it's still worth mentioning.
** Saiko and Whimpu have had some bonding moments, but it's the one in "If Mario was in Friday Night Funkin' 2" that takes the cake, Whimpu offers Saiko some KFC chicken and she willingly takes it.
** Tari and Belle had a couple of moments in the 2020 Christmas special, when Bob refuses to give Tari a [=PS5=] for Christmas, Belle goes out of her way to threaten to shoot Bob's junk off if he doesn't give Tari her [=PS5=] for Christmas, Belle also gives Tari a rubber duck for Christmas as well.
** After the Genesis Arc, Meggy's sort of become like a sister to Melony, such as consoling the latter whenever she misses Axol and becoming concerned for her when Melony passes out in "To Become a God".
** Luigi would often meditate with several Weegee Dolls surrounding him.
** Despite being two personalities of the same person, even Shroomy and Anti-Shroomy are subjected to this. The 10 Year special shows Shroomy summoning his Anti-Shroomy seemingly at will, and later appearances show the two [[SplitPersonalityMerge using each others' faces.]] Most notably, Anti-Shroomy decides not to kill Mario as a demon, making it feel more like the two halves are coming to terms with each other.
** Even [=SMG4=] and [=SMG3=] bonded with each other sometime after the [=YouTube=] Arc, such as learning to get along in the Genesis Arc, working together to save the universe from [=SMG0=], and even becoming FireForgedFriends at the end of WOTFI 2021.
* Just rewatched each arc and realized something: Each ArcVillain deaths/defeats (sans Peach) was caused by a female character!
** Waluigi Arc: Tari connected [=SMG4=] to her controller and used him to break Waluigi's staff and free everyone from the T-Pose virus.
** Rapper Bob arc: Saiko was the singer of Darkest Hour, the song which caused Bob to lose his fame and fortune.
** Anime arc: Francis was stuffed into one of his own Ink Zuccers by Saiko, the latter then cranks it up to maximum power, and the former gets his blood sucked out (though it's unknown if that's how he died, if that didn't kill him, the explosion of Anime Island did).
** [=YouTube=] arc:
*** Meggy convinces the Anti-Cast to turn on [=SMG3=] and help her friends defeat him.
*** After everyone defeats [=SMG3=], Susan Wonderland opens a portal to the Internet Graveyard, which sends [=SMG3=] to said location.
** Genesis arc: Melony (reluctantly) kills Axol to kill [=SMG0=] and save the universe.
** Revelations arc: Melony deals enough damage to Eldritch Zero's body to loosen the true [=SMG0=] from Niles' control, allowing him to tear control from Niles at a crucial moment which resulted them in both dying while everyone else gets to escape.
** Lawsuit arc: Meggy hands Mario the parody contract before "dying", allowing Mario to hand it over to a court of law in a bid to save his friends. She also serves as [=SMG4's=] defence attorney against Lawyer Kong and leads the vocal section for the rap battle in War of the Fat Italians 2022, successfully convincing Judge Kirby to render the prosecution's Super DMCA contract void.
** The streak ends up getting broken by the Puzzlevision arc: Mr. Puzzles is ultimately depowered by the actions of the whole [=SMG4=] crew, and [=SMG4=] and Luigi deal the finishing blow.
* In Steve VS Smash Bros, during the fight between Sans and Steve, Mario opts to cheer on Steve rather than Sans, despite both being mutual friends with him. But since Mario has been friends with Steve far longer than Sans, it makes total sense for him to do this.
* Why does Swagmaster start yodelling when giving detention? As it turns out, Swagmaster is emulating Mr. Bones from Doug, who loves yodelling as much as he loves giving out detentions. One can even argue that, as Mr. Bones was chosen because he was scarier than actual monster teachers combined, Swagmaster is given the role over indie horrors like Baldi.
* In the [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddysSecurityBreach Security Breach]] video, despite mostly following the beats of the Canon ending, Burntrap is AdaptedOut. Why? Because Burntrap is the form that William Afton takes after being killed ''[[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys3 three]]'' [[VideoGame/FreddyFazbearsPizzeriaSimulator separate]] [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddysVRHelpWanted times]], while in [=SMG4=], William only gets to Springtrap. %%correct me if I'm wrong
* There's a gag in the ''"The Simp Wars"'' video that features [[AnimateInanimateObject Melony (Before the Diety Mask)]] as a Twitch Streamer, and the donations for her pour in like crazy. Seems to just be RuleOfFunny, but then I remembered Axol made a popular anime about fruit, and it's likely Melony, being a fruit similar to the ones he uses in ''Two Piece'', made a killing with the same audience.
* Sora being surprisingly rude to Waluigi after getting a Smash invitation before him makes sense when you consider [[ZombieApocalypse what Waluigi did when he couldn't get in.]] It's likely doing all that didn't really do anything good for Waluigi's reputation, especially among Smash Bros. fighters. Hell, his plan was become HatedByAll, to power his staff. [[GoneHorriblyRight Based on the amount of time he's still mocked for not being in Smash, it worked.]]
** Similarly, why is Saiko so harsh to Whimpu, even by her standards? He got her wiped from existance for Youtube fame, and she's not most forgiving member of [=SMG4=]'s gang, as Francis can attest to.
** On a similar note, Mario does the "And nothing of value was lost" gag with both Axol and Belle. Assuming it isn't just Mario being a prick or hating anime, they might also tie into this. The one with Axol is pretty harsh, as he didn't really mean to kickstart Francis' plan, [[LaserGuidedKarma though Axol does the same gag to Mario when he's dragged off at one point.]] As for Belle, Mario only properly saw two of his friends deleted by [=SMG3=]'s gang because they were kicked out of their videos before dying. [=SMG3=] tricked past Mario into kicking [=SMG4=] out, but we never see who kicked Tari out, but it was very clearly Belle, [[KickTheDog after cheating her to her own death no less.]] Considering Mario and Tari actually get along, and [[ReformedButNotTamed Belle doesn't really turn]] [[{{Jerkass}} out nearly as friendly]] as the likes of Melony or Rob after their arc, it's likely he still resents her.
* Melony is a PhysicalGod, so why does Tricky give her a hard time? Well, one of the most commonly known things about Madness Combat is that Tricky has an [[RealityWarper Improbability Drive]] in his head, it's the reason he keeps coming back more and more monstrous and warps Nevada around him. If anyone could give a Fierce Diety a run for their money, it's him.
** How Melony kills him might play into this too. Either she managed to graze or damage the drive his head by [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice impaling him from crotch-to-mouth]], or by RuleOfFunny, [[GroinAttack he gave up after getting stabbed in the groin.]]
* Minor case; Mario is on [[VideoGame/{{Minecraft}} Hardcore]] mode.
* Even by [=SMG4=] standards, Mr. Incredible ''[[NightmareFace never]]'' [[NightmareFace makes a normal face once.]] To fit with his meme, he's constantly stuck in the UncannyValley.
* The reason the Toads follow Mario so easily when he's king, regardless of how down the drain his rule goes, seems like a CallBack to ''Meet the Toad'' where Toadsworth said all but he and the main Toad were braindead and easily manipulated.
** This may also be why the main [[JerkassToOne Toad]] is mysteriously absent. As soon as he found out who was ruling in Peach (and Toadsworth)'s place, he likely jumped ship until it was all over.
* Someone pointed out that Lady Dimitriscu and her daughters are capable of [[DayWalkingVampire walking around in the daylight here.]] Then it hit me, they're all protected by headwear. Lady D. wears a big hat and her daughters have cornettes.
* Fishy Boopkins [[FeedItWithFire gaining powers from the lava]] might seem like an AssPull until you remember that he's the son of an EldritchAbomination.
* Remember how [=SMG1=] and [=SMG2=] ''didn't'' display any meme manipulation powers in the "10 Anniversary Special?" They haven't been shown to use that power in any of their flashbacks either. It's likely that while they were stuck in [=SMG3's=] USB, were trying to pass the time trying to find out how to escape and they discovered their powers on ''accident''.
* When Zero grabbed Melony in the Final Piece, that wasn't to just show her Axol for no apparent reason other than drama. That was most likely when he invaded her mind, leaving something behind so, in the event he wasn't able to escape the [=SMGs=] attack or otherwise fall, he would be able to come back.
* As pointed out by a commenter in one of [=SMG4=]'s community posts, take a look at [[StealthPun Nil]]es' name. Then the sudden reveal of him being [=Zer0=] makes that much more sense.
* As one reactor pointed out, Niles (actually Zero) being nonexistent to all but one makes a lot of sense when you look at it this way:
-->'''Viger''': There's nothing... there. There never was... anything... there.\
'''''Niles (flashback)''''': Trust me, I couldn't help you even if I wanted to.\
'''Viger''': Because he's not there! He's nothing. Zip. Nada. ''ZERO''.
* Same reactor also pointed out this in the Relevations movie:
--> '''[=SMG2=]''': Legend says this is a magical dimension that connects all universes together!
--> '''Viger''': [[WebAnimation/SunsetParadise That makes a]] [[WebAnimation/MurderDrones lot of sense]], [[WebAnimation/MetaRunner on a meta]] [[WebAnimation/UltraJumpMania level]].
* This troper realized why [=SMG4=] lured the bee out of the castle with saxophone music of all things. ''[[WesternAnimation/BeeMovie The bee likes jazz.]]''
* The reason why the series' newer episodes (Including the Arcs) had [[DarkerAndEdgier dark]], [[NightmareFuel scary]] and [[TearJerker tragic moments]] while the older (pre-2018) ones (except Tale of a Bob-Omb) had none. the series was a Greek Tragedy. Greek Tragedies start with hilarious storylines and silly characters before changing into dark stories and serious characters. the series' older videos is the opening act of a Greek Tragedy.
* What happens when you times something by zero? It becomes a zero itself. No wonder why Niles fusing with SMG'''0''' ended up creating a being ''called'' Zero.
** And his process of making a new universe includes destroying other universes, breaking them apart and taking bits of them. [[StealthPun These universes are divided by Zero.]]
* How come Niles is considered imperfect? Even though he's a functional meme guardian, he's ultimately a bootleg product created by the God Box, made without the proper code (an avatar) to make him complete, explaining why he is so hellbent on finding an avatar to call his own.
** Unfortunately for him, he was made by a box full of broken [=CPUs=] (which were probably already screwed up by some malware), so he tends to end up corrupting the avatars in the process instead, which is why he (under the alias of "Zero") got the reputation of being called a virus.
* Jesus constantly rejecting Mario and sending him back down to Earth makes a lot of sense, given he is essentially a godly being, he more than likely knows that he isn't [[BarrierMaiden supposed to die at all]]. Jesus being incredibly annoyed with him makes even more sense considering how many times Mario died throughout the series.
* In The Grand Mario Hotel, [=SMG4=] Mario is labeled as Mario #8052011. If you seperate those numbers into a date, you get 8/5/2011, a day after the first ever [=SMG4=] video was released, or in Australia, the exact day it was released.
* Mario being able to decently resist [[WebAnimation/SunsetParadise Aziz's]] super spicy chili makes total sense- Mario has been known to be able to wield fireballs through use of Fire Flowers and even in [[VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate one instance]] where he didn't even need a Fire Flower to use his fire special.
* Why can't Azis recognize Meggy? Well, just look at him, and look at Meggy. Meggy's art style shifts depending on whether she's near or far from Port Aurora. Azis looks exactly the same in both areas, of course he wouldn't think that Meggy is the same ginger haired girl!
* So what warrants Saiko's transformation after grabbing Kaizo's hands? First, Saiko was pulled out of the game via magic to make her real whereas Kaizo was pulled out using Meta Runner tech which keeps game characters to scale in the real world, so that would be an "update". Though it's probably Kaizo recognizing Saiko without forcing her into a role that the "Saiko" connection is properly updated.
* Saiko NOT attacking Mario after the Meme Games makes much more sense when you realize that she had rekindled her friendship with Kaizo and the both of them are planning to restart their band before Mario revealed her prize: She ended up getting her wish after all.
* Mario, despite being TooDumbToLive, LethallyStupid, and a {{Jerkass}} most of the time, has displayed a surprising amount of cleverness, insight, and [[PetTheDog decency]] when the time calls for it. Since "[=SMG4=]’s Origins" reveals that he used to be as intelligent and heroic as his canon counterpart and was turned to who he is now by the flash drive, these bursts of intelligence and kindness may actually be his old personality leaking through.
* Splatfest 2019 being cancelled may not have been just because of the mass kidnappings. Callie & Marie noticed that Meggy was missing from the moment they saw Mario, Luigi & Tari with Bob wearing Inkling headgear even while they were starting the match. When Bob didn’t move from the Spawning Pad to lead the team and as Desti’s team let the [=SplatSquad=] have it, Callie & Marie decided to call halftime as a way to stop the game so they could look into the missing Meggy crisis, which led them to seeing the broader Inkling abduction situation that was taking place. Once the situation was noticeably fully clear, the Squid Sisters then cancelled the tournament and had to come clean about the “halftime”.
* Similarly to the above, Desti’s death may have led to the Splatfest tournament in Meggy’s Destiny being the last Splatfest since a good chunk of the Splatfest money may have gone to Desti’s funeral. Add that to the money going into the tournament for that year being cancelled because of Francis’ schemes & the Splatfest committee ended up deciding to have the Final Splatfest come Meggy’s Destiny, mostly as a way to avoid financial problems.
* Lawyer Kong being [[CanonCharacterAllAlong Funky Kong's alter-ego]] instead of a reused model makes more sense if you assume [=SMG4=] got the idea for the character from [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNnBY_z-ZmQ this video]].
* Thanos not questioning why Mario needs the Infinity Gauntlet in ''Mario Obliterates Minions'' makes sense when you consider Mario accidentally created the Infinity Gauntlet in [=WOTFI=] 2019, and he uses said gauntlet in ''Mario's Bed and Breakfast'' to evict all the guests with Thanos included.
** Speaking of this episode, the way Mario changed the target of the Gauntlet was interfacing with the Mind Stone. [[spoiler:The Mind Stone allowed Tony to target the entirety of Thanos's army and Thanos himself and how Banner accounted for avoiding placing the snapped victims in dangerous positions in ''Endgame''.]]
* This might be a stretch, but the symbol on the God-box bears a striking resemblance to the Rub El Hizb, with the first word, Rub, translating to "Quarter", or "One-''Four''th"
** Adding onto this, the symbol on the God-Box is also a prominent symbol in the [[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos Slenderverse]] series WebVideo/TribeTwelve, where it's revealed in Severance that the symbol can be used to do things like "hack" into accounts/humans and sever the connection between possessors and their hosts, that could really tie in with the God-Box being a [[TheCorruptor corruptor]] of sorts.
* Mario bitchslapping Toad in ''It's Gotta be Perfect'' to talk to him makes perfect sense. In Super Mario 64, the button you use to talk to [=NPCs=] also happens to be the same one you use to do some basic attacks.
* Bob also looking agitated towards [=SMG4=] when he asked for some cash might be odd given the guy has a hotel to run. But also consider that same hotel used to be Meggy's house, thus Meggy likely had been getting Bob to pay for her house billings. That, or the more likely explanation, Bob used the money he was obtaining for upkeep.
* [[https://www.reddit.com/r/SMG4/comments/12wl62x/so_were_just_gonna_ignore_that_melony_can_survive/jhfifxm/?context=3 This comment on Reddit]] suddenly makes permadeaths make much more sense. Since the [=SMG4=] universe is set in a video game (a Super Mario 64 rom to be specific), Video Game logic likely applies to it. So most of the deaths of the main characters are cheap since they’re playable characters, and thus respawnable. However, other characters like Desti and Axol aren’t, so they can permanently die like in cutscenes (or they’ve just run out of lives in Axol’s case).
* Tari wasn't entirely wrong about the moral she proposed (be kind) in ''Mario Hurts the Environment''; Mario did give a pizza to one of the trees, which found it to be delicious (giving a gift), then the trees turned into a pizza stand in the showgrounds (giving something back). Mario never said that he was making the pizzas for himself, he was making them for customers, therefore the moral stands.
* The Revelations Arc (and the Cosmology Saga as a whole) has been frequently commented of making drastic retcons to the Classic [=SMG4=] episodes that don't gel very well with past events. But (at least in-universe) the retcon does actually make a fair bit of sense. If the early episodes were the aftermath of [=SMG4=]'s accidental altering of the universe, then the series not having any coherent narrative or continuity would make sense since the universe at that point probably was still trying to make sense of the whole messy situation, akin to trying to put together a puzzle using scattered pieces. It was probably only around later when the universe finally managed to figure out what constituted ''AS'' continuity by that point.
* Wren casts himself as an infamous and feared bandit in the Wild West simulation in ''[[WebAnimation/SMG4MovieWesternSpaghetti Western Spaghetti]]''. This might seem odd, as he's the one running the simulation and loves having his ego fed, so it would make more sense for him to cast himself as a beloved hero... until you realize that he's deliberately trying to set up a rivalry with Meggy. Thus, giving himself the role of a hero-turned-villain would be the perfect way to set up a conflict between them.
* How were Mario, [=SMG4=], [=SMG3=], and Meggy able to escape the pit where Peach's Castle was without a spring pad in "Let's go Visit Peach!"? They used the star to take them back in the same way as the stars in ''VideoGame/SuperMario64''.
* Why is Mario's weight infinity? It could be a representation of the fact that he's [[BarrierMaiden the avatar]] and the whole universe's weight is resting on his shoulders.
* In the [=YouTube=] arc, Mario saved his friends from the Internet Graveyard after they were deleted by [=SMG3=], and in the Genesis Arc a year later, Mario's friends saved ''him'' from Zero. So in a way, they returned the favor.
* In ''Meggy's Destiny'', when Mario attacked Team Killer Ink during the first match, the latter team wasn't particularly scared, and while they would later be after the first match when provoking Meggy, they continued to do so even after she tells them to stop. Why? They weren't just ignorant of the damage they were causing from their unsportsmanlike conduct; it was a BatmanGambit to ensure the [=SplatSquad=] would be disqualified (which, thankfully, didn't happen).
* The ending of "No TV Makes Mario No Okey Dokey" has the standard ending music for every episode. In other arcs starting from The Anime Arc, whenever something ends on an ominous note, there's no music. This could represent the Puzzlevision takeover of the channel, and the whole idea behind the host is to spread joy through entertainment.
* Why are there gaps between each part of the Adware saga? Well, maybe it could be a representation of ad breaks, tying into both the TV Guy’s TV theme, as well as the fact he starts off as an Adware.
* Based on [[https://www.reddit.com/r/SMG4/comments/1bsvny9/a_small_theory/ this post]], Meggy's transition from inking to human could be seen as an analogy for growing up, and there are plenty of points to support it: Her losing a friend/rival, having a lack of purpose in her life, finding out that her childhood idol is not as innocent as she thought, and that's not even mentioning her body going through literal changes.
* When Mr. Puzzles sings the TV Time song in ''Mario's Mysteries'', he sings the lyric "Take a break from your troubles" more aggressively. If his backstory is anything to go by, becoming consumed by television gives some more weight to this lyric.
* Mr. Puzzles being the only [=SMG4=] villain to have a full length solo VillainSong makes a lot more sense with how three of the four previous episodes in the storyline had original songs (most notably with Once Upon an [=SMG4=]). Thus, him having a villain song just fits with the storyline itself.
** Additionally, Mr. Puzzles's {{Leitmotif}} is also an original song as well.
* The character choices for the [=SMG4=] gang in Mr. Puzzle's ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'' ripoff are a CastingGag:
** [=SMG4=] takes on the role of [=SpongeBob=], both being the main character of their series, while being slightly dumb with an even dumber best friend.
** [=SMG3=] takes on the role of Squidward, being the grouchiest member of the group, as well as the one who dislikes the main character to a degree.
** Meggy takes on the role of Sandy, both of them being the smarter members of the group who are some of the better fighters. Plus, Meggy was formerly an Inkling, a creature who would die in water, while Sandy is the only land creature of her group and would die without her helmet.
** Fishy Boopkins is cast as Plankton. While this may seem odd, given that he's one of the kinder cast members, he's also the most physically incapable and the smallest.
** Bob is Mr. Krabs, both of whom have a MoneyFetish, along with being some of the oldest members of their respective groups.
** As for Mario, who wasn't able to take a role due to his escape? He would have been Patrick, being the stupider best friend of the main character with a tendency to be a JerkAss and a BigEater.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Horror]]
* Saiko from Doki Doki Mario Club should consider herself lucky that her relationship with Fishy Boopkins ended the way it did, because it's not very likely [[PapaWolf his]] [[EldritchAbomination dad]] would be too pleased with her behavior...
* Mario himself. He [[ComicalOverreacting overreacts to the ]] ''[[ComicalOverreacting slightest things]]'', as seen in several videos. However, [[DisproportionateRetribution a lot of]] [[ThisIsUnforgivable what he does]] [[UnstoppableRage in response to these]] shows a huge {{Jerkass}} side to him. ''What else has he done, and how could it have affected others?'' Worse, what about those he calls friends, such as Meggy? Would he do the same to them?
** "Mario Gets Into [=NFTs=]" shows that, yes, if pushed the wrong way, he'll give his friends a FateWorseThanDeath if his desire to meet his petty desires overrides his friendships.
* One in the episode "Mario waits for pizza". Meggy is ForcedToWatch anime with Boopkins and Bob, having to be [[AnkleDrag dragged into the room]] with a scared look on her face. There's a good reason for that: they're going to watch ''[[{{Hentai}} tentacle]] [[NotSafeForWork anime]]'' (Bob specifically mentions ''Boku no Pico'' before cutting himself off). Keep in mind that [[FridgeHorror Meggy is a squid girl...]] [[NightmareRetardant Thankfully, they don't seem to watch it in the episode]] (and Meggy just seems bored with watching anime more than anything else).
** That being said, she does have a [[HeroicBSOD minor breakdown]] in ''The Mario Convention'' once reminded of the above incident, and Fishy asking her to watch anime scares her, as proven in ''War of the Fat Italians 2018''. What else did they watch offscreen?
* From "The Super Dudes", Wario, in a ShoutOut to Avengers: Infinity War, nearly [[CessationOfExistence disintegrates]] Mario, Fishy, Bowser and Steve. Had Luigi/Trash Bag not saved them, would they have been KilledOffForReal?
** Or maybe sent to the Internet Graveyard?
* It's mentioned by Bob in "The Mario Carnival" that Wario mysteriously vanished after the events of "Waluigi's Time". This gets very creepy once you realize that "Waluigi's Time" is where Waluigi gains extraordinary powers. Did Wario get killed by The Power Of Rejection?
** Thankfully proven false once the episode of Mario the Scam Artist came out.
* Look at Saiko's behaviour in ''Final Fantasy Mario''. [[IfICantHaveYou Isn't it similar to]] [[DisproportionateRetribution Waluigi's behaviour]] [[DrunkWithPower once he finds]] [[ThePowerOfHate The Power of Rejection]]? ''How close'' did Saiko come to finding and using it? Heck, ''anyone'' that exhibited similar behaviour in past bloopers [[HereWeGoAgain could gain it and restart the Waluigi Arc.]]
** Similarly, we've seen Marvel superheroes in the [=SMG4=] universe (Wolverine made a cameo in "Mario & The T-Pose Virus", and Spider-Man and Deadpool appeared in "Mario the Scam Artist"), and if we're to assume the X-Men and Charles Xavier's school exist in this universe as well, and Waluigi were to end up there, can you imagine what would happen if people like Wolverine dissed him? And the less we mention the possibility of a VillainTeamUp with Marvel's villains, like Magneto, the better.
* If Mario hadn't heard Boopkins' call for help, or Bob not returned when he did, how long would Fishy have been stuck down the well?
* The lack of internet (thanks to [=SMG3=] stealing it) has caused characters such as [[NiceGirl Meggy]] and [[GamerChick Tari]], usually nice people, [[FaceHeelTurn to become closed off and hostile]]. What about Mario's other friends, such as [[AffablyEvil Bowser]] and [[{{Otaku}} Fishy Boopkins]]? Or characters such as [[SerialKiller the Villager]] and [[WebAnimation/GuardsNRetards Swagmaster?]]
* Meggy says in "Meggy's Bootcamp" that she's afraid of driving her friends away with her obsession of winning Splatfest. Is that why we don't see Meggy's team from "If Mario Was In...Splatoon"? Has Meggy driven them away?
* In Bowser Loses Custody Of His Children, Peach failed Mario in her parenting class because that would be what you'd expect from a [[TheDitz Ditz]] trying to take care of a kid (even commenting that she hopes he never has any), yet in The Weegee Uprising, there's New Super Duper Mario Plus Ultra, his direct descendant. The horror comes into the Weegee Uprising: Have the Weegees killed/transformed all suitable male parents except for Mario?
* More like Fridge Sadness but it's horrifying enough too so let me get this straight. This whole time, Susan Wojcicki had a remote that can pretty much break the universe? So how much death and suffering could have been avoided? How many people who died like [[WebAnimation/SMG4TheAnimeArc Desti and Francis]] could have been saved by this remote? Think of all the potential abuse, which isn't too far, seeing what [[DrunkWithPower Mario did when he had the remote]].
** Also, how much chaos occurred when time was unstuck? Think of all the injuries that was inflicted on everyone.
*** According to Kawashima, he would use his godly powers to undo all of Mario's actions, which presumably means that he would [[ResetButton undo]] ''[[ResetButton everything]]'' [[ResetButton that Mario did that day]], not just him freezing time.
** Here's another thing, whenever a character gets paused by the remote, [[AndIMustScream they're aware of their situation.]] It's unlikely Mario properly froze time itself, he just paused everyone and everything around him, meaning they were likely aware of all the stuff he did with them while they were paused. Considering [=SMG3=] knew Mario had the remote in a later episode, it can be assumed Kawashima didn't just reset time, meaning Mario likely went home and was met with a whole slew of very pissed off people.
* "Deleted" is already a terrifying video, considering it has the entire main cast sans Mario, Shroomy (Who's stuck in his SuperPoweredEvilSide), Axol (who's left effectively helpless due to the Inkweaver being broken), and Bowser have been erased from existence, but it gets worse when you realize that [=JubJub=] replaced his big brother. Assuming he even remembers his first son, how is their dad going to react, or will he just forget Boopkins? Neither of these possibilities are particularly happy.
* Speaking of that video, [[TheSociopath it kind of shows how frighteningly sociopathic some of SMG3's gang is.]] [=JubJub=] at least gets off with the excuse that he didn't do much and he's a baby, but as for the others...
** For starters, Belle doesn't bat an eye over wiping Tari from existence, and even cheats to ensure she wins.
** Whimpu, despite usually being a nice guy, actually takes it a step further from the others. He stops Boopkins from bringing Saiko into the real world, which the equivalent of preventing someone from being born. [[BitchinSheepsClothing All with his usual cheery attitude no less]]. Though considering that if Saiko didn't [[HoistByHerOwnPetard accidentally smash his head onto Boopkins' laptop, he would been the only one that failed]] However, there's another level to this: What would have happened if Saiko actually saw her video game self? Would she got sent to a black hole while her game counterpart would have glitched out of her game?.
** Remember how Bob considered Rob a friend? Amazingly, despite Bob being...well, [[ItsAllAboutMe Bob]], it's ROB who winds up wiping out his friend. Ouch.
** Also, do you think it'll even hit [=JubJub=] that he lead his big brother to his own death? Boopkins may have screwed up by meeting himself, but he went in there after [=JubJub=], so it IS still partially on the infant. Let that, and the thoughts of what [=JubJub=] might think of it, sink in... Welp, as of the next video, [[AscendedFridgeHorror IT DID SINK IN]]!
** Sure, Melony's new persona being a LazyBum makes sense, but that makes you wonder about her wiping Meggy from existance. She was awake to react to Franky's death, but Whimpu threw her into Meggy's debut episode. Was she aware and willing to pretty much wipe an innocent person from existance like the others, or did Whimpu just toss a sleeping girl into an evil plan she had no interest in? Neither of these are very comforting.
** While the others may not be on the same level, imagine what the [=SMG4=] arcs would [[VillainProtagonist truly]] [[EvilVsEvil be]] [[TooBleakStoppedCaring like]] with someone like [=SMG3=] the helm, especially the [[FromBadToWorse Anime]] [[DarkestHour Arc!]] Belle was right to say he wasn't [=SMG4=], considering the only arc he could probably get away with is the Waluigi Arc...
** Also consider the fact that the Weegee Doll, despite turning against [=SMG3=], isn't seen hanging out with the Glitch Gang like the others. He's the only one that's [[TokenEvilTeammate legitimately evil]], so you have to wonder where he went...
*** Although if the 10th Anniversary is any indication, [[NightmareRetardant he may be humping in the wild with the other Weegee Dolls.]]
* Francis' ultimate plan is creating an island of waifus. Sounds silly, right? Well, yeah, but take a good look at that sentence: ''creating an island of waifus''. Sounds a lot like [[SexSlave sex]] [[SlaveryIsASpecialKindOfEvil slavery...]]
* The amount of franchises that the world of [=SMG4=] has in it(Specifically in the "If Mario Was In..." videos), gets quite horrifying if you happen to know about these franchises...
** In the Videogame/FiveNightsAtFreddys2 video, Mario terrifies the Purple Guy and Puppet into driving off together. This is pretty funny, but if you know your FNAF lore, it's quite horrifying. For those who don't know, Mario unknowingly forced a dead child to get in a car with the man who killed her. What's more, the Puppet tosses a Crying Child at Mario in a vain attempt to stop him, [[CrossesTheLineTwice basically throwing another dead kid at the plumber.]] Mario also burnt down the Pizzaplex at the end of his excursion into "Security Breach", but considering the animatronics' track record with fire(The Blob itself survived a fire before), it's possible this really didn't help nearly as much as Mario thought it would.
** So considering [[Videogame/BendyandtheInkMachine Sammy Lawrence]] in this world is a [[ItMakesSenseInContext crazed Hagrid with an army of spaghetti monsters]], do we want to know what the other BATIM characters are like? For example, what if Mario had run into [[WasOnceAMan Norman Polk]] or [[AxCrazy Susie Campbell?]]
** The [[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos Slenderman]] and Siren Head are running around this world, and yeah, [[AdaptationalHeroism they aren't as bad as other versions of them usually are]], but what if other Creepypastas or Henderson-creatures are running around, and don't get the same treatment...
*** The ''Detective Pikachu'' video actually [[AscendedFridgeHorror confirms the horror here]], as Mario has a flashback featuring Literature/JeffTheKiller, and it's all but outright said to the audience that he murdered someone.
** [[Videogame/GrandTheftAutoV Trevor Phillips]] is a mad man and walking warzone in his own series, what the hell can he accomplish in a world as insane as [=SMG4=]'s!?
** It really goes without saying that ''Franchise/{{Splatoon}}'' isn't as innocent a franchise as it appears. What if the [=SMG4=]-verse has its own [[MisanthropeSupreme Commander Tartar!?]] Assuming it does, that makes ''Meggy's Destiny'' HarsherInHindsight. They banned humans from just about all the stores in Inkopolis, and Tartar tried to kill all the Inklings, ranting about how they're inferior to humans. Is it possible he sullied Inklings' views on humans?
** [[Videogame/BaldisBasicsinEducationandLearning Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning]] has a person [[AndIMustScream trapped in the game, begging the player to stop playing the game.]] Is that guy stuck in that school Mario was in, and nobody knew!?
** If Videogame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate is a part of [=SMG4's=] universe, that means there's probably a [[EldritchAbomination Galeem and Dharkon]] running around! Although considering the aformentioned Hagrid-Sammy, maybe that Spaghetti Monster Mario summoned WAS Dharkon...
** ''If Mario was in Assassin's Creed: Origins'' shows that the ''Franchise/AssassinsCreed'' universe exist in this universe, what if some magical and powerful artifacts seen throughout the series (Inkweaver, The [=YouTube=] Remote Etc.) were ''Pieces of Eden''?!
** Seeing as ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' is a part of the [=SMG4verse=], [[AscendedFanon along with its many mods]], that means things like ''WebAnimation/MadnessCombat'' and ''WebAnimation/{{Tankmen}}'' are part of this universe too, in all their brutal, nightmarish glory. What's especially distressing is that ''Tankmen'', like ''Splatoon'', takes place AfterTheEnd, putting the [=SMG4=] world in a [[InferredHolocaust much darker light.]] And now with ''"The Other Universe"'', [[AscendedFridgeHorror any ambiguouity of that is out the window]], and the [=SMG4=] universe really ''is'' AfterTheEnd, but not just some war or disaster, [[CosmicHorrorStory but something much, much worse...]] Also Senpai is serving Mommy Mearest, and by extension, Daddy Dearest. This Senpai, like the canon one, has the Spirit within him. So he's not only being trapped against his will, but forced to serve his captors.
** The gang's journey into the Dark Web shows us a brief cameo from [[VideoGame/LittleNightmares Six, Mono, Runaway Kid, and a Bully]]. The idea of that franchise being a part of this universe is [[DeathWorld distressing for]] [[HumanoidAbomination several reasons]], and the fact that they're on the Dark Web of all places doesn't help.
** [[WebOriginal/TheBackrooms The Backrooms]] is now confirmed to exist along with all the other horrors. Given how completely batshit [=SMG4=]'s world is, you can safely assumed that these backrooms in this universe may have claimed ''even more'' lives due to the residents often no-clipping themselves. Mario's trip there also has him and the two [=SMG=]'s going up against [[Website/SCPFoundation SCP-682.]] '''[[EldritchAbomination SCP's]] [[EverythingTryingToKillYou exist in [=SMG4=]'s universe.]]'''
** Assuming we can take the advertisements and reaction videos as canon, ''WebAnimation/MurderDrones'' now exists in this universe too. Uzi at the end of the pilot wanted to KillAllHumans, and N attempts to kill Mario in the ad itself. Then he comes back when Mario reacts to spooky memes. Also, seeing as memes just seem to come into existence when they're relevant, [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou does this mean that Liam and Glitch Productions just dropped two murderous robots on Mario's doorstep?]]
** Yes, [[VideoGame/PoppyPlaytime Huggy Wuggy]] is much friendlier here, and Poppy doesn't seem too bad either, but the former is still a hulking beast with NestedMouths of sharp teeth and latter can open a portal to Hell. The promo video for their company shows one of their toys is [[AdaptationalVillainy Woody]] with a knife, and the boss of said company in this version is [[ForScience Cave Johnson]], which doesn't exactly spell anything good. What the hell happened in that abandoned factory here? And like Bendy, Huggy isn't the only monster in that factory. If Mario and Luigi had gone any deeper into that place...
** Similar to the Creepypasta's above, Lady Dimitriscu is AffablyEvil, but it's still clear she and her daughters are eating people. This might also mean that the adorable village of Animal Crossing also has [[CreepyDoll the]] [[TheIgor other]] [[TheStarscream Lords]] and even [[GreaterScopeVillain Mother Miranda]] in their village.
** Goku and Vegeta have shown up in videos, meaning the world of [=SMG4=] is at the mercy of two all-powerful morons that could trump even Mario in stupidity and doom them all for a fight. Granted, [[MemeticBadass Shaggy]] seems to be in their way.
** Sora, Kairi, Donald and Goofy have cameo'd as well. ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' has TheHeartless who are drawn to the darkness in people's Hearts. You know, like [[{{Yandere}} an anime girl who craves people's attention to violent extremes]], or [[EvilIsPetty a crazy Otaku willing to commit Inkling genocide to make his own harem of anime girls]], or [[KillAndReplace a guy who resents his doppelganger to the point of trying to delete and take over his channel]], or a [[EldritchAbomination living virus that is willing to tear a whole universe apart to make his own.]]
** This might be overthinking things, but Scrooge [=McDuck=] has been shown in the background of both "Mario's Train Trip" and "Mario Goes To the Zoo". If you look closely at the Box Club members before they sacrifice themselves, you'll notice that one of Scrooge's great-nephews, Dewey is among them. Does Scrooge know what happened to him?
** As time goes on, the videos are making [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventureStardustCrusaders Jotaro and DIO]] cannon, and ignoring their respective pasts (Especially [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventurePhantomBlood Dio's]]), there's still losts of things to worry about. What if the Glitchy Gang came across [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureDiamondIsUnbreakable a serial killer who takes the hands of women and leaves no trace]]? Or how about [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureGoldenWind a mob boss who can skip time to his whim]]? Or better yet, [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureStoneOcean a priest who can steal your memories and abilities while seeking a way to end the universe]]?
** In the episode "POV: You're Mario", we get a cameo by [[Manga/OnePiece Whitebeard]], of all people. His existence opens up a can of worms so big, you could probably feed one to every fish and still have it be half-full. Some highlights of fridge horror include: [[MadScientist Caesar Clown]], [[WorldsStrongestMan Kaido]], [[FatBastard Big Mom]], [[RazorFloss Donquixote Doflamingo]], [[DarkIsEvil BlackBeard]], [[AristocratsAreEvil The Celestial Dragons]] and of course [[TheEmpire The World Government]] [[spoiler: and its leader [[GreaterScopeVillain Im]]]].
* [TEXTURES NOT FOUND] shows that [=SMG3=] wanted clones of the Glitch Gang, but...he also had clones of his own crew. Why would he want that? The answer is simple, the Snitch Gang [[YouHaveFailedMe wasn't meeting his expectations]], so wanted the clones to [[KillandReplace kill and replace them]]! [[BadBoss He's indeed the worst boss in entire SMG4verse]].
** On the FridgeBrilliance side, this may be why we don't see any clone of [[ParodySue Melony]] or [[TokenEvilTeammate Weegee Doll.]] They were the only ones that [=SMG3=] seemed to somewhat respect, as Weegee Doll was evil and Melony ran on RuleOfFunny.
* "Mario's Mask Of Madness" makes it clear that the Coronavirus exists in the [=SMG4verse=], meaning your favorite characters could get sick or die if they don't take the necessary steps to prevent catching it.
** Here's another bit of horror from that episode, why did the Happy Mask Salesman have a Mario mask in the first place? Yeah, it was always part of his mask collection in the games, but masks in Ocarina of Time are often left behind by people when they die, a Zora leaves behind a Zora mask for example. Consider that we've seen [[MesACrowd alternate Mario's in droves]], and their last appearance showed them to be just as, if not more batshit crazy than the main Mario we've been following. Then consider that with all those crazy Mario's, at least [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome one of them has to be]] TooDumbToLive, [[KilledOffscreen even by this world's standards...]]
* Remember that ''"The Day [=SMG4=] Posted Cringe"'' video? Long story short, [=SMG3=] threatened to upload cringe to numerous channels, costing them their subscribers. [=SMG4=] seemed like he was [[FauxHorrific overreacting by calling it the most evil thing anyone has ever done]], [[HarsherInHindsight but now that we know dead memes and irrelevant YouTubers go to their own afterlife in this universe]], it feels like [=SMG4=] and the other YouTubers were right to be concerned, [=SMG3=] wasn't just threatening their channels, [[CessationOfExistence but their very existence...]]
** Speaking of which, in ''"Nintendo Gets Deleted"'', when Nintendo's stonks disappear, Miyamoto vanishes until they get new stonks. Meaning even losing your stocks can cost you your existence. RuleOfFunny aside, the fact that losing your income can cost you your existence makes [=SMG4=]'s world feel like a borderline DeathWorld...
** In a previous video where Mario ran Nintendo, he blew all their stocks on spaghetti, and Miyamoto had to save the company. [[KilledOffscreen What would happen if]] [[ItMakesSenseInContext he had been in that bathroom a little longer?]]
** Adding onto this, the ''"Stupid Paper Mario"'' video shows that when [=SMG4=] has no money, his universe devolves into [[StylisticSuck increasingly crappy graphics]], going from our usual Machinima animation to paper, to crude drawings, to just a real-life video camera filming a Mario plush going up to Luke in our world. Given [=SMG4=] seems to be Luke's Avatar rather than the same person, does that mean [=SMG4=] got himself briefly wiped from existence? ''Over a claw machine?''
** And then in ''"The Mario Hustle"'', he went and blew his money again.
* Meggy's lucky she took her vacation RIGHT before the events of "Nintendo Gets Deleted", considering ''Franchise/{{Splatoon}}'', where she originates from, is owned by Nintendo. Doubly so considering one of the characters working under Sony is Sephiroth. You know, [[TraumaButton the guy who killed Desti.]]
* Not only did Meggy's parents take a picture of her guilt-ridden face after catching her covering the entire house with ink, but they make sure to keep that picture for years leading to her friends finding it in "Mario Babies". She also seemed ''fearful'' talking about them in her [=QnA=] video. Are they [[AbusiveParents abusive]]?
* The Genesis Arc says if the Avatar (In this case Mario) dies, then their whole universe dies. Just take a moment to remember all the times Mario has almost died in this series, even wiping himself from existence at one point. One can argue that it'd take something like Zero to properly kill him, considering this is the [=SMG4=] [[MadeOfIron universe]], but still.
** With this in mind, ''"The Weegee Uprising"'' in hindsight suggests this Avatar title could very well be passed down, seeing as Mario's descendant is the last living human in a [[ItMakesSenseInContext world of Luigi Dolls]], but think about what happened before Luigi and the others went back in time, the Luigi Dolls swarmed New Super Duper Mario Plus Ultra. [[HarsherInHindsight If they really killed him, then that means if Luigi and the others had been a little slower, everything would've fallen apart around them.]]
** This makes the whole "What if [=SMG3=] won in his arc?" question much more horrifying: He essentially not only erased [=SMG4=], but also Mario as well, resulting in his universe dying, all because of his petty actions against [=SMG4=].
** One can argue that what [=SMG3=] did was vastly different from what Zero (and the Weegee Dolls) did. He technically killed them, but they're still alive and functioning in the Internet Graveyard, and are perfectly capable of finding a way out. What Zero did to Spudnik is considerably worse, and definitely wasn't just banishing someone from one dimension to another. That begs the question, does Zero's method of killing Avatars mean [[TheNothingAfterDeath they don't even get the peace of an afterlife?]]
** If what Zero did to Spudnik is the same thing it did to all the Mario recolors, [[FateWorseThanDeath then we may have our answer.]] Though considering they were freed, and Axol is shown to be in the afterlife after all the horrid things that [=SMG0=] did to ''him'', Spudnik's fate might not be that bad after all this.
* While we're on the subject of [=SMG0=], the reason [=SMG4=]'s fellow YouTubers have dwindled in appearance is because Zero hunted them down thinking they were Mario. The thing is, ''they weren't the only Mario recolors shown in this series.'' To name a few, there was an older [=SMG4=] video that featured the [=WoopWoop=] Kingdom full of recolors, [=SMG3=] had a crew ''before'' the Anti-Cast that was made mostly of recolors, the Police, who notably made less appearances and [[MorePopularReplacement were arguably succeeded by Hal Monitor]], are recolors, Mario has on more than one occasion met ''numerous'' [[MesACrowd alternate Marios]], his [[AbusiveParents father]] was a recolor, and Mario has been cloned before. How much of this was just ChuckCunninghamSyndrome and how much was [[InferredHolocaust collateral damage from Zero's hunt for Mario?]] ''[[ParanoiaFuel How far did he search before finally finding the actual guy he was looking for?]]''
* Francis in "What if [=Francis=] won in his arc?" question essentially has an island full of waifus. Problem is, since he used the Ink Zuccer 2000 to create them, which requires being powered by Inklings, this means he essentially committed ''genocide'' to create them.
* What would become of the show's creators (Luke and Kevin), had Zero [[TheBadGuyWins succeeded]] in destroying Mario and the ENTIRE [=SMG4=]-verse?
* While we're on the subject of villain victories, just about every victory that involves getting rid of [=SMG4=] like [=SMG3=], or even Mario not letting him make memes when he took over the Mushroom Kingdom, would eventually end in chaos because the memes would get corrupted without him and run amok. [[ImplacableMan And killing them isn't an option]]. [[PragmaticVillainy Maybe this is why he's the only Weegee Doll in the]] BadFuture [[PragmaticVillainy to keep his sentience]], otherwise it'd be a lose-lose future for ''everyone.''
* Desti's corpse in the coffin is left there in the ocean to rot, years after the events of The Anime Arc.
* In "Stupid Mario 3D World" there is the possible implication that the actual Mario died, leaving the Cherry Clone behind (which creates [[FridgeLogic Fridge Logic]] as to whether due to similarity, proximity, game physics and the consciousness of Mario being copied the clone became the new [[BarrierMaiden avatar]]). If that is the case, than the oblivious lamentations of the "Mario" become much more real and true. He didn't technically get to spend more than few minutes with his look-alike and he didn't actually get to experience what it is like to have a brother - because he was the clone that gained independent consciousness only a while ago.
** No, this is not possible; in [[VideoGame/SuperMario3DWorld Super Mario 3D World]] only double cherry clone can die.
* So [=SMG4=]'s Guardian Pod made Mario's universe go insane. The idea of just being born into a world that you unknowingly distorted is scary enough, but it gets worse. There was an early video that showed us Mario's father, who took one look at his son and tried to ''"Kill it before it lays eggs!"'', and then ditched him in a drive-by, implying that's why Mario is so screwed up. This begs the question, is this just a retcon met with EarlyInstallmentWeirdness? Did [=SMG4=] make up that origin to justify Mario's AdaptationalDumbass to his viewers? Was Mario's father always like that and [[ShootTheShaggyDogStory Mario just managed to get his life together before that Guardian Pod showed up?]] Or did that Guardian Pod ''[[RealityWarper rewrite Mario's actual past?]]'' It gave Beedle a son out of nowhere, didn't it?
** On the subject of the Pod affecting Mario, Peach was there when he got zapped went insane. Years later, and [[BelligerentSexualTension they're still together despite their personalities clashing.]] Given Mario didn't seem to remember the day [=SMG4=] showed up, does she remember why her boyfriend is so insane? Did she just stick with him to keep him under control? Or are they just so completely out of their minds that they're made for each other? Any one of these is a pretty depressing thought when you think about it.
** Similarly, if all the characters got affected by the Guardian Pod, that means there may have been a ''lot'' of relationships turned topside just by [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom [=SMG4=] showing up.]] Waluigi went from a goofy villain into a loser that went FromNobodyToNightmare, [[AFatherToHisMen Bowser's]] parenting went [[HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood completely off the rails]], Francis went from a mostly harmless nerd to a genocidal lunatic, some random "[=GoldenEye=]" NPC turned into a PersonOfMassDestruction, Eggman became a [[FanDisservice borderline sex-offender]], etc. [[{{Tagline}} "Consider yourself retarded"]] [[HarsherInHindsight indeed..]]
** Even freakier? "SSENMODNAR 0" ended with Mario [[ItMakesSenseInContext screwing with a TV]] so much it made the whole world stupid, [[CerebusCallBack similar to what happens here.]] Given [=SMG4=] was the one who made these, was this some supressed memories surfacing?
* "MARIO'S OKAY" reveals that meme guardians like [=SMG4=] and [=SMG3=] can use their powers to convert memes into energy to reshape the universe, but can only do so if they hold hands with their partner SMG. However, [=SMG0=] lacks a partner, yet is able to use his full power. Was he scrapped due to being too powerful, causing him to become a virus?
** Also let's talk about the memes. What exactly happens to them when they're converted into energy? Does it cause a CessationOfExistence? Or is it a case of AndIMustScream? At least the Morshus that [=SMG1=] and [=SMG2=] summoned were more than happy to offer their energy, but as seen in "The Final Piece", Zero forcefully takes the memes' energy and they ''don't'' look happy about it. Keep in mind that these guys were all ''citizens''. Thankfully, '''War Of The Fat Italians 2021''' suggests that memes [[ForcedTransformation forcefully transformed]] into other objects eventually change back to their original forms; the memes just leave totally disturbed by the experience. Although we never see what happens to the meme energy absorbed into Mario after he changes back to normal...
*** "Mario and The God Box" shows that raw meme energy can be used as an explosive projectile. Yeah, that skull playing VideoGame/{{Doom}} music on a trumpet is definitely dead for good.
* Dumb question to ask, but how does the BodyHorror Zero forces on Mario affect those cute Mario Cells we've seen living in his body?
* It's been established that every SMG is a PaletteSwap of their avatar, and that each avatar has two [=SMG's=] protecting them. If this is the case, then ''from where the fuck did [=SMG0=] come from if he looks like that, and what happened to his world's other SMG?''
** The Revelations movie reveals the monstrous Zero is actually a forcible FusionDance between Niles and the real [=SMG0=], the latter of whom is a cyclops, but otherwise looks perfectly approachable and charming. There's no mention of his other SMG though, and he only states it was him and his Avatar Fred, implying he wasn't assigned a counterpart for whatever reason.
* With the reveal of whoever getting possessed by Zero will be permanently bound to it with no chance of being saved and that it intended to use Mario as its host, it becomes clear that Zero came dangerously close to winning multiple times: During the Special, "The Day HE Arrived" (Where he got Axol), and of course, "War of the Fat Italians 2021". If Zero had made Mario it’s host, then even if someone survived the universe being destroyed like "[=SMG1=]" and "[=SMG2=]" did, there would had been no way to reverse the damage as Mario would had been permanently bound to Zero.
* "If Mario Moves, He Dies" is a purely comedic episode, but it gets horrific once you remember that Mario is the [[BarrierMaiden Avatar]] of this universe, meaning that if he dies, the universe dies. He got severely injured during an accident involving Toad, and if he moves, he dies. So if he moved one muscle, that would've been the end of him and the universe.
* This may not stick forever, [[UncertainDoom but we haven't seen anything of Jeeves since Matt turned him into tickets to Brazil.]]
** Thankfully, he was shown to still be alive in "If Mario Was In Squid Game".
* When Mario gets Fairy Godparents, he wishes for, among many things, an axolotl to appear next to Melony. The implication is that he was trying to [[PetTheDog console her after losing Axol]]. Why is this FridgeHorror? Among the many rules of Fairy Godparents in ''WesternAnimation/FairlyOddParents'' is that they can't bring the dead back to life, meaning Mario might have actually meant to bring Axol back, only for it to not work.
** Alternatively, Da Rules probably don't apply to [=SMG4=]'s world, as Mario having Fairy Godparents is likely against them as well, so maybe it would've worked...but dying while connected to [=SMG0=] did something worse to Axol. What if he can't be revived because, unlike Desti, Francis, Greg, [[WebAnimation/SunsetParadise Aloysius, the Mayor, and Benedict]], Axol didn't just die, ''[[DeaderThanDead he got erased from existence.]]''
** Thankfully, this is revealed to be not the case in "[=SMG4=] Movie: Revelations", with Axol talking with Melony while she is in Limbo, and him telling her he will be waiting for her.
* If neither [=SMG4=] nor [=SMG3=] knew about the Meme Life Cycle, just how many more memes would get corrupted? And what the hell could they have done to the [=SMG4=] universe?
* In the Squid Game, if the players die, they wind up in Playstation All-Stars. The characters panicking seems like a shallow TakeThat, but the real reason may be the same reason everyone except [[BloodKnight Mario]] dreads the Master Hand, because now they got to fight the likes of [[KillTheGod Kratos]], [[MonsterClown Sweet Tooth]], and [[PersonOfMassDestruction Raiden.]]
* The Box Club worships boxes to the point fo basically being an ApocalypseCult waiting for their ''"Box Lord"''. A recurring gag is Papa John being a SatanicArchetype who tried to take destroy the world once. ''"If Mario Was In Spider-Man"'' even features the Box Club tossing aside a pizza to worship the box it was in. [[ConnectedAllAlong Is Papa John the Box Lord? Is he going for a round two?]]
* "[=SMG4=] Christmas Special 2021" shows Mario dropping Rob, Belle, and Whimpu out of a box containing "underused side characters." Rob and Belle act as if they haven't been awake for a long time. Exactly what does happen to an [=SMG4=] original character when they're underused for long enough? Do they just get stored away in a box where they don't do anything until they're used again?
* Given the fact that just about all the characters who got deleted in the [=YouTube=] Arc went to the Internet Graveyard, that means they, and likely ''every character in this universe'' count as Memes. With that said, it's very likely that even Shroomy, Whimpu, Rob, the Mario Recolors in Bloopsersville, Belle, Jeeves, Hal Monitor, Peach, Toad, Bowser, Wario, Waluigi, Susan Wowwowwubzy, Steve, Fishy's brother and father, the numerous [=YouTubers=], all the Newgrounds survivors, any other character from other franchises Mario met in these videos, the characters from ''"Sonic the Derphog"'' (Considering Eggman is shown to be a Meme here) and ''"Guards n' Retards"'', hell, even the characters from ''WebAnimation/SunsetParadise'', ''WebAnimation/MurderDrones'' (based on N showing up in Mario's reaction video), and maybe even any other ''WebAnimation/MetaRunner'' counterparts that may be out there were all among the Memes [=SMG0=] culled in his attempted apocalypse. Granted, this means they were all restored after Zero was defeated, but one can imagine what must have been going through their heads based on how the Memes we ''do'' see [[OhCrap reacted.]]
** For that matter, who's to say Waluigi's T-Pose Virus didn't reach any of them before it was undone too?
* Shroomy's Uncle Doom replacing him with Isabelle, and even disowning him because he doesn't want to fight demons is already appalling, but it gets worse. [[BadassAdorable Isabelle and Shroomy really]] [[NiceGuy aren't all that different,]] showing that all Uncle Doom cares about is having someone to hunt demons with. Who's to say he wouldn't ditch Isabelle the moment she gets sick of hunting demons?
* Okay, so we know Meggy got accidentally trapped in a paint can that Mario unknowingly freed her from. Did we ever learn ''how'' long [[AndIMustScream she was in there?]]
* Can we just take a moment to be grateful that Anti-Shroomy didn't reawaken while Shroomy was a giant-death-cyborg? Imagine all the bullets everyone dodged there...
* ''A Tale of a Bob-Omb'' paints Mario as a bad guy for attacking a Bob-Omb, but something I recalled was in ''Meet the Bowser'', where [[StupidEvil Bowser had a bunch of self-defeating rules for his minions.]] Among them was that Bob-Ombs had to give Mario a hug (In other words, run into him and explode). [[{{Jerkass}} King Bob-Omb's]] usual behaviour in other videos may not earn him much sympathy, [[DeathIsCheap especially since he shows up just fine later.]] But [[BadBoss Bowser]] may have doomed the Bob-Omb he adopted just as much as Mario did.
* In ''Mario and the God Box'', we learn that the God Box will unleash unholy terrors and destroy the world if it is opened. It has what looks like a 0 in its center.
* As pointed out by a commentor in the "Floor is Lava" episode, when the giant lava bucket was utilised to scoop up the entire lava-sea, they mentioned that it is implied that the Mushroom Kingdom was a single giant cube, meaning if Steve mined just in the right spot...
* In ''War of the Simps'', did Whimpu and Boopkins' little escapade doom Nathaniel Bandy's [=VTuber=] business now that a horde of angry waifus have trashed his Waifu Making Room? [[ARareSentence Is he gonna lose all his subscribers to a melon?]]
* If killing the host doesn't get rid of [=SMG0=], then how many characters would be put down before people realize that it's only causing a mere setback in Zero's plans?
** Thankfully, that's been resolved by Niles (the actual mastermind behind the plot) finally accepting his death.
* So the God Box is filled with broken [=CPUs=]. If it destroyed [=SMG0's=] universe, what destroyed the universes that were thrown away into the God Box?
* In "Mario Can't Play With You Anymore...", Lawyer Kong basically kicks every non-Nintendo character out of their homes and banished them to a lifeless desert, when they did nothing against him or Nintendo, [[EvilIsPetty just because Meggy pissed him off.]]
* "[[Recap/SMG4sMarioBloopersHowToTrainYourMario How To Train Your Mario]]" reveals Karen has three young children. Karen was also killed alongside the other original characters during the events of "[[Recap/SMG4sMarioBloopersNintendoHasClaimedThisVideo [NINTENDO HAS CLAIMED THIS VIDEO]]]", meaning that for a brief period of time, her children were orphaned and likely scared as they had no clue what had happened to their mother.
* How come the gang from ''WebVideo/DontHugMeImScared'' fulfilled the role of the deranged teachers when they were originally the perturbed students? Well, it's entirely possible that all those twisted lessons have finally broken their minds. Consider how [[Series/DontHugMeImScared the TV series]] ends...
* Whatever you may think of Team Killer Ink, imagine them going through what One-Shot Wren went through when he lost a Splatfest should they reach his celebrity status.
* Since [[WebAnimation/AlexSpider Inkura]] beating out One-Shot Wren at a Splatfest was what caused his StartOfDarkness, imagine how [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone guilty]] [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom she]] would feel should the [=SMG4=] gang die or remain trapped in his LotusEaterMachine forever.
* It's a good thing Mr. Puzzles chose the [=SMG4=] crew. The only reason he lost is because Mario's unprecedented stupidity tanked his ratings, so any other crew would have given him a complete victory!
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Logic]]
* If the Mario Purge (Halloween 2018) indicates that the Purge for Teletubbies takes place annually in the Mushroom Kingdom, shouldn't it be at least referenced in the 2019 Halloween video, Mario VS Literature/{{It}}? I understand if it was isolated from the Purge but there could have easily been a background event of it when the four went down the sewers to rescue Luigi.
* Wait, if everything was frozen except for Mario, then how was he able to even have a game of VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate with the girls?
* Why in the world does Bowser use a flamethrower [[AbusiveParents to make Bowser Jr. "dance"]] in "I Can't Believe It's Not [=SMG4=]"? He's [[BreathWeapon Bowser]], for gods sake.
** Actually it can be explained with Bowser directly copying a (probably staged) comedy vine on the internet which utilized flamethrower and went so far in replicating it, that it didn't occur to [[TheDitz him]] to just use his flame breath (or realize that his son isn't just playing along, but legitimately in danger). This also doubles as a [[TakeThatUs jab]] to viewers who imitate every stunt they've seen on web, without a second thought, just to get popularity.
* You know with the ''Account Loss'' being changed, shouldn't the entire universe be wiped out? Or did the flashback in ''Mario's Spicy Day'' actually happened before ''Account Loss''?
* Why does Zero need Mario if he has Axol?
** Axol isn't his world's avatar; Mario is.
*** Yes, that makes sense!
** Zero needed both a vessel for himself ''and'' an avatar to create a new universe with. He planned to take just Mario and use him for both purposes, yet by coincidence ended up accidentally making Axol into a vessel instead. He still needed Mario to create the new universe.
* In the Internet Graveyard, time goes by faster than real Earth's time, since Axol was in there for five years in their time, but in real Earth time, it's only been three weeks. Since [=SMG3=] was there for six months in real Earth time by the time of "Perfectly Balanced", shouldn't he have grown old after who knows how long?
** Keep in mind that Axol claimed it had been five years after undergoing some serious SanitySlippage. It's entirely possible he just lost track of time.
* If Meggy started as an Inkling, why didn't she know Nintendo lawyers like Mario (boring job) or [=SMG4=] (scared shitless)?
** First, Splatoon tends to use a new city and [=NPCs=] for each game. The only expection is the story mode [=NPCs=] and Agent 3 which is carried from the first game, but Meggy was not involved in that or future storylines.
** Similarly, Meggy did not qualify as a Smash Ultimate character (she did get into the Smash Bros 4 Switch port, however).
* Some people have noted that Lawyer Kong, a head of Nintendo's law system, is by technicality in his own words, an [[{{Irony}} original character based on an existing property]] (Funky Kong in his case), wouldn't he suffer the similar fate as the rest of the original cast?
** It's possible that [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem the fact that he’s working for Nintendo makes him (and by extension, the Nintendo Ninjas) immune to the DMCAs]].
* Why was Old Man Hobo killed with the other characters by the Lawsuit Arc [=DMCA=]? He's a VideoGame/{{Pokemon}} [=NPC=] and isn't an original character to the series. Is it because Franchise/{{Pokemon}} isn't completely owned by Creator/{{Nintendo}}? If so, why weren't characters like Franchise/{{Kirby}} killed?
* The models for Swag, Chris, and the Nintendo Ninjas all come from [[VideoGame/GoldenEye1997 the same game]] while their names and personalities are original. Fundamentally, they're all the exact same. So why were Swag and Chris killed by the Lawsuit Arc [=DMCA=] but all of the Nintendo Ninjas are fine?
* If Meggy really wanted Mario to lose weight in "[[Recap/SMG4MarioGoesOnADiet Mario Goes On A Diet]]", wouldn't it be better to have him eat nothing for the day, rather than force-feeding him tonnes of vegetables? Adding more food (i.e. more weight) isn't going to somehow make someone weigh less.
* How did Bowser end up in the simulation in ''[[WebAnimation/SMG4MovieWesternSpaghetti Western Spaghetti]]''? Every other character in the movie besides One Shot Wren was shown boarding and riding the train, but he didn't appear at all in either of the previous [[Recap/SMG4WeInterruptThisBroadcast two]] [[Recap/SMG4ReadyToRide episodes]], and just suddenly shows up in the movie without explanation.
* As pointed out by [[https://www.reddit.com/r/SMG4/comments/14x2qqo/anyone_also_finds_it_strange_that_wren_speaks/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button someone on Reddit]], why/how is Wren speaking perfect English when Meggy needed to be hit with a translator before speaking it?
** Considering the machine he's wired to, and the fact he isn't shown speaking in English in the flashbacks, as well as the fact he could summon virtual entities into the real world during the ensuing battle (at the risk of breaking realities), it's possible he purposefully gave himself an English voice within the simulation to better resemble Meggy, the former Inkling he wants to confront, changing himself in a twisted way of wanting to "play" with her. Depending on how long he stayed in that machine, perhaps it ended up mutating him to be more like his virtual self, enhancing his loss of sanity as well as giving him supernatural abilities like when he wills the Western Spaghetti crooks to life.
** Also, considering Puzzlevision's involvement in the whole thing, add to the fact Meggy was able to speak English thanks to Susan's ''remote''. Perhaps Mr Puzzles has similar language-altering technology, being a living television and all, and decided to have Wren get a voice for his own enjoyment (given his performer antics, providing accessibility to people who just can't read the subtitles or don't want to bother by having a vocal outlet for Wren isn't that out of the question, if it reaches a bigger audience to have a properly articulate character).
* As shown in ''YOU WILL SEE'', the Puzzlevision movie was also made by Mr. Puzzles to boost his ratings to 5 stars. However, this means that the movie is also an act, just like the previous 4 episodes, so that means either Mr. Puzzles decided to sacrifice himself to make the movie just before Puzzlevision went global or he's still an active threat.
** Appears to be the case, as "Mario The Exploro" reveals Mr. Puzzles is alive and still making shows.
