8	* AdaptationDistillation: The miniseries itself took [[Literature/TheBible an ~800,000-word book]] and squeezed it into ten 44-minute episodes. The movie takes the four episodes that deal with UsefulNotes/{{Jesus}} and further squeezes them into a 135-minute movie. May be CompressedAdaptation for some. To be fair, a lot of the stuff in the Bible can't really be filmed; see, pretty much the entire book of Numbers. It is ''exactly'' what it sounds like.
9	* AdaptationInducedPlothole: When Jesus saves the woman caught in adultery, her crime/sin isn't explained.

11	* {{Bowdlerise}}: Because of the "{{Satan}} looks like [[UsefulNotes/BarackObama Obama]]" controversy from the [[Series/TheBible2013 original miniseries]], said scene is cut in this version.
