''I Still Know What You Did Last Summer'' is a 1998 sequel to ''Film/IKnowWhatYouDidLastSummer''.

A year has passed since the events of the previous film. After winning a radio contest, Julie and her friends head to the Bahamas to have a good time. After arriving there, Julie soon discovers that Fisherman is still alive, and has followed her there.

!!This sequel has examples of:
* AmbiguousSituation: [[spoiler:Whether or not Julie was dreaming towards the end of the movie. The first film ends with Ben similarly attacking Julie a year after his supposed death, but this movie reveals that not only was ''that'' a dream, Julie has been suffering such nightmares on a regular basis. As such, it's murky if Ben is still alive and after Julie, or if Julie was having another such dream. The third film depicts the Fisherman as being a genuine paranormal entity that time around, but there's no mention of Julie or Ray's fates, and the third film has little if any connection to the first two.]]
* AssholeVictim: Tyrell is a gigantic prick to Julie throughout the whole movie (at one point when she wakes up and is scared he [[KickTheDog mocks her for having PTSD.]])
* AudibleSharpness: The killer's hook does this, even when it contacts nothing but air.
* BehindTheBlack: Why [[spoiler:Ben doesn't see Julie waking up, picking up Ray's revolver from the ground and preparing to shoot him throughout the finale. Could be sort of justified, though, since Ben had just killed his son accidentally, so Julie waking up was probably the least of his concerns.]]
** The original script had [[spoiler:Julie fall into her own prepared grave before crawling out and shooting Ben. There is no such shot in the movie.]]
* BigBad: The Fisherman.
* BigNo: Ray lets out one after he sees his buddy Dave being killed by the Fisherman.
* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler: Julie, Ray, and Karla survive but the rest of their friends (and a whole lot of innocent people) have been killed by the Fisherman, and if the ending is taken at face value, he survived and is still out to get Julie. That is, if it wasn't another nightmare, meaning Julie will be haunted by the Fisherman in her dreams forever.]]
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: While not the Fisherman’s first kill, [[spoiler:Darick]] winds up being the first to die when the Fisherman shows up on the island.
* BottomlessMagazines: Julie shoots the Fisherman eight times. With a six-shooter. That already has been shown to have at least one empty chamber.
* TheCapitalOfBrazilIsBuenosAires: Karla and Julie win a holiday trip by answering a radio contest question "what is the capital of Brazil" with Rio de Janeiro. [[spoiler:Lampshaded and subverted later as a plot point, as they were going to "win" the contest no matter what]].
* CastingGag: Mekhi Phifer starred in Brandy's music video for "The Boy Is Mine" that same year. Here they play boyfriend and girlfriend.
* ClosedCircle: The majority of the action happens in a remote island resort in the Bahamas on the off-season, which is soon closed off from the mainland by a storm.
* ComplexityAddiction: Instead of simply rehashing the events of the previous film, The Fisherman [[spoiler:has his son create a fake radio show just to lure Julie to a remote island]].
* CouldntFindAPen: [[spoiler:The Fisherman kills Mr. Brooks and writes a message in his blood above his body: I Still Know]].
* CousinOliver: [[spoiler:Will is the previously unmentioned son of Ben Willis]].
* DidntThinkThisThrough:
** Julie is trapped in a tanning bed that's been turned up to the highest setting. When her friends discover her, they immediately set about trying to bash the bed open. None of them thinks of unplugging it first so Julie doesn't burn to death. There's also Julie going into the tanning bed in the first place and Willis merely trapping her in it. By this point, she had been certain something was wrong, but she leaves herself in a completely vulnerable state anyway. And the guy who has gone to all of this trouble to get her on the island and kill her just continues to play the kind of games that ended up costing him a hand.
** The hotel clerk for some reason feels no need to point out [[spoiler:they got the capital of Brazil wrong and shouldn't have won this trip.]]
* DreamIntro: The film opens with Julie having a dream about going to a {{Confessional}}, where she is attacked by the Fisherman, leading her to wake up screaming in a class.
* FailedASpotCheck: An especially ludicrous example: in one scene, Julie is singing karaoke, with the lyrics showing up on a teleprompter, when suddenly the words [[TitleDrop "I still know what you did last summer"]] appear on it. Even though they are written in huge blood-red letters and the other characters are facing the same direction as Julie, none of them see it and are really confused when she has a massive FreakOut, even though the vast majority of people will, upon seeing someone else see something and react with fear, look at whatever the person was looking at. This could be [[HandWave handwaved]] as just a hallucination, but there is no indication that this is the case.
* FanService: Julie undressing and wiggling around in the tanning bed.
** The ending, where she is seen in a ''very'' tight tank top and no bra.
* GambitRoulette: The Fisherman's plan involves sending Julie to an island resort full of people and ensuring that she would [[spoiler:become friends with his son and win the "contest" to get the trip.]]
* GlobalIgnorance: A weird example, the girls win a trip from a RadioContest where they are asked the capital of Brazil and guess "Rio de Janeiro". [[spoiler: It's really Brasília, as we find out ''much'' later. The odd part is, it's never made clear if the audience is ''supposed'' to know the girls' answer was wrong from the start or not. The implication seems to be no, as they mention to a few other characters that they guessed Rio, and no one says "Um, it's actually Brasília" until about 3/4 of the way through the movie.]]
* GoryDiscretionShot: [[spoiler:Darick's]] death is marked by a splatter of blood on the side of the pier.
* HookHand: The killer has one of these as a result of his hand getting cut off by his boat's pulley system in the previous film.
* ImpaledPalm: [[spoiler:Titus gets the Fisherman pinning his hand to a table with his hook before the Fisherman stabs him with a pair of garden shears.]]
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler:While Nancy is trapped under Estes' body, The Fisherman grabs the poker stuck in Estes and pushes it further, skewering her]].
* InventionalWisdom: In one scene the killer finds Julie sunbathing in a tanning bed and decides to tie the lid closed and turn the heat up to max. Setting aside the [[BondVillainStupidity stupidity of not simply hooking her to death while she's lying there completely vulnerable.]] One must wonder why the hell the tanning bed would even be capable of getting hot enough to kill someone.
* ItWasHereISwear: Julie finds the dead body of the dockhand Darick inside her closet, which disappears from there when she goes to tell everyone about it.
* LackOfEmpathy: People around Julie show a shocking disregard for her mental health, starting when a teacher mocks her waking up screaming in class, and nobody really taking note of what seems very real emotional distress.
* LightningReveal: A flash of lightning illuminates the darkness behind a window, revealing that the Fisherman is standing there, staring at Titus.
* MurderByMistake: [[spoiler:As Will holds Ray for his father to kill him off, Ray breaks the hold at the last moment, causing Ben to kill his son instead]].
* NastyParty: After arriving at the resort, Julie eventually finds out that she was lured there to be killed.
* NotHisBlood: This is part of TheReveal. [[spoiler:One of the teens is apparently killed by the villain that has been stalking them, but later reappears, albeit covered in blood and in pain, making it seem that he was severely wounded and LeftForDead, but managed to survive. When [[FinalGirl Julie]] goes to treat him, however, she realizes after a few seconds that she can't find any actual wounds. He then tells her that the blood wasn't his, and [[TwoDunIt he's really been helping the killer take them down]].]]
* OhCrap: Pretty constant whenever the killer attacks.
** Julie gets this when she [[spoiler: finds a globe in the hotel lobby, see how it lists the capital of Brazil as Brasília, not Rio, and realize the entire "radio contest" was a set-up.]]
* PunctuatedForEmphasis:
-->'''Julie''': Just ''*gunshot*'' fucking ''*gunshot*'' die! ''*gunshot*''
* PunnyName: Will Benson, [[spoiler:who is the son of the previous killer, Ben Willis]]. It's even lampshaded.
* RadioContest: Julie wins the trip from one. [[spoiler:It is eventually revealed to be a hoax set up by Will Benson]].
* TheReveal: [[spoiler: Will Benson [[TwoDunIt is aiding]] Ben Willis, and is also ([[PunnyName obviously]]) his son.]]
* SequelGoesForeign: The sequel is set predominantly in the Bahamas.
* SequelHook: Someone is still trying to kill Julie at the end of the film. [[spoiler:According to the next film, it's the Fisherman himself. After Julie killed him, he came back as a ghostly entity that looks like a zombie]].
* SpicyLatina: Nancy is this merged with AloofDarkHairedGirl.
* TheStoner: The hotel employee Titus, who smokes as much of his product as he tries to sell it.
* TitleDrop: The words "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" suddenly appear on the karaoke screen at the hotel bar, causing Julie to run back to her hotel room.
* TokenMinorityCouple: There's Julie and Ray (white), and Julie is also involved with Will (white). Karla and Tyrell are the BetaCouple, and they're both black.
* TrappedInATanningBed: The Fisherman attempts to fry Julie while she's using a tanning bed by tying it shut with a zip-tie and cranking up the intensity. Luckily, rescue arrives quickly.
* VillainBall: The Fisherman is worse about messing with the teens instead of outright killing them, considering that he should know better by now and not to mess around.
* WhamLine: A trifecta all from [[spoiler: Will]]:
** "Because [[spoiler: it's not my blood."]]
** "What's [[spoiler: your favorite radio station, Julie?"]]
** "Come on, Julie, think about it. [[spoiler: Will Benson. Ben's ''son.'']]
* WhamShot: As she runs around the house, Julie comes across a globe and suddenly realizes how [[spoiler: the capital of Brazil is Brasília, not Rio.]]
