[[AC:{{Crossover}}]]
* ''Fanfic/AllForLuz'': A central theme of the story. After the MassSuperEmpoweringEvent in the Human Realm, a lot of super-powered kids suffer from this like the mutants from ''Franchise/XMen'', with Luz being the prominent example.
** AntagonisticGovernor Maxwell refers to the Quirk-user teenagers as "biological weapons" and as far as he's concerned, the fewer of these superhuman "freaks" that existed, the better. [[spoiler:He also refers to Luz as "[[PowerParasite the parasite]]" after finding out about her Quirk.]]
** All For One admits to Luz that he was shunned by his peers for having Quirk in his youth during the MassSuperEmpoweringEvent in the Mutant Realm. His fellow Quirk users were seen as monsters, culled for it, and it was even worse with those who had mutations. [[spoiler:One of the people who was a staunch advocate for their civil rights to be revoked was [[CorruptPolitician Tamashiki Shigaraki]], his birth father, who was extremely racist against meta-humans. [[TheDogBitesBack It was part of the reason why he murdered him in cold blood]].]]
** Tyler Wittebane runs a CorruptChurch that wants to commit genocide on Quirk users and supernatural beings, considering them to be monsters, [[spoiler:including his own daughter]]. He considers Luz the top of his hitlist, due to her SuperpowerLottery making her a major threat.
** [[spoiler:Emperor Belos]] not only utterly despises witches and demons like in canon but shares the same sentiment about Quirk users too, showing to be glad when Tyler says that the bloodline of the Wittebane’s won’t be tainted due to [[WhiteSheep Julia]].
** Despite willing to work with them under her emperor's orders, Millie considers regular humans to be pathetic in comparison to witches like her.
** [[spoiler:If you had a Quirk in the Boiling Isles, you would be a target for harassment. There are only 200 "[[DifferentlyPoweredIndividuals Unique]]" children that exist in Bonesborough alone, and all of them, for the most part, were encouraged to keep to themselves by The Emperor's Coven. And that's not even going into the FantasticCasteSystem created by their EvilOverlord.]]
** [[BigBrotherBully Edric & Emira Blight]] have a low opinion Quirk users and cyclopes and are rude to them. They get this from their father, [[spoiler:mostly likely due to his horrible experience with [[BigBad All For One]], despite having a loving wife and daughter that have Quirks.]]
* ''Fanfic/TheAmazingSpiderLuzInAcrossTheOwlVerse'' being set in the Franchise/MarvelUniverse, {{Differently Powered Individual}}s make up 1% of the human population and plenty of them experience discrimination on some level. Luz had suffered bullying and isolation from her classmates after gaining spider-powers and the ''Franchise/XMen'' have had to liberate ''mutant slave-camps.''
* Like canon ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'', Faunus are often subjugated by humans in ''Fanfic/BlazBlueAlternativeRemnant''. Aside from canon examples from the show, [[Franchise/BlazBlue Makoto]] often reacts with a snide remark or a sour demeanor whenever the Faunus' plight is brought up, hinting to her past sufferings with racial subjugation. In Kokonoe's case, she was one of the main heads of Sector Seven, but was often forced into the background in favor of Relius Clover due to the Atlesian elite not wanting a "filthy Faunus riff raff" representing their advances in technology.
* In ''Fanfic/FracturedSovereignGFC'', a ''Franchise/MassEffect''[=/=]''Franchise/StarWars''[[spoiler:[=/=]''[=Borderlands=]'']] [[MassiveMultiplayerCrossover crossover]] and its sequel ''Fanfic/{{Origins}}'', the Citadel societies have this problem as in canon. When the Trans-Galactic Republic starts handing out technology like candy to ward off the Reapers, it gets worse since they pick-and-choose who gets what without realizing the InUniverse UnfortunateImplications of handing military tech only to the turians, shield tech only to the quarians, etc. That these feuding races are not brought together by a MagneticHero (as in ''Mass Effect 3'') leaves them bitter and suspicious of each other, making the [[TyrantTakesTheHelm slide into fascism]] easier.
* ''Fanfic/BloodSisters'' not only affirms how the canon fae (''Series/LostGirl'') were relatively dismissive towards humans, but also adds that vampires like the Cullens (''Literature/TheTwilightSaga'') are generally ignored by the wider fae community for no better reason than that they were originally human, rather than being natural fae from birth.
* ''Fanfic/TheChaoticMasters'':
** According to Raven, the magical community at large operates under TheMasquerade for fear of persecution from non-magical people.
** Raven herself ends up on the receiving end of this when Uncle immediately identifies her as half-demon and jumps to the conclusion that she's evil.
** Jinx suggests that the Third Race looks down on her for being half-human.
* ''Fanfic/ChildOfTheStorm'' has the traditional discrimination against non-purebloods from ''Literature/HarryPotter''. On the reverse, the usual 'hated and feared' status of mutants, while not a major theme since mutants are still secret, is discussed occasionally.
** It also has early indications that while Asgard is generally the big protector of the Nine Realms (and the main reason that Earth hasn't been invaded, other than Loki's invasion), they're most certainly not perfect, with a bit of the SmugSuper attitude. Considering that even a million years before the present, back when they were mortals, they were compared by the author to [[Series/DoctorWho Time War era]] [[HigherTechSpecies Gallifrey]], this is not entirely surprising - especially when it's remembered that Bor, Odin's father and (aside from the brief reign of Cul Borson a.k.a. the Serpent) the last King of Asgard, is repeatedly described as "a throwback to a darker era of Asgard's history".
*** This is made plain by the statement that they only ever acknowledged ''one'' mortal power as their equal (Krypton) and currently manifests in terms of regarding humans with a kind of benevolent condescension (summed up by WordOfGod as "you're primitive PunyEarthlings, but you're stubborn and we like your style") that is only really starting to change thanks to the deeds of the Avengers and the fact that Earth in general is growing up very fast. It's also stated that old prejudices towards the Frost Giants are very much still apparent.
*** It later turns out that this is at least partly [[spoiler: Malekith's]] fault, as indeed was much of Bor's personality, as he sought to reshape Asgardian society into his image of what they were/should be (brutish thugs and monsters), through past, present, and future - and since he was a RealityWarper via [[spoiler: the Reality Stone]], he did a considerable amount of damage. Even so, an element of this trope is present long before his involvement, in polite-but-vaguely-condescending attitudes to Stone Age humans.
** Surtur is stated to have hated the Earth Deviants (mutants dialed up to eleven) because he considered their constant random mutation to be untidy. (To be fair, it's also noted that ''no one'' really liked the Deviants, but that's because they were assholes - though in Book III, they get a slightly more sympathetic outlook when it's suggested that they are Like That because their constant mutation means they're permanently on the look out to survive by any means possible).
* ''Fanfic/CodePrime'':
** Britannia has discrimination against non-Britannians as a ''national policy''. Extraterrestrial beings like the Autobots and Decepticons are no exception. ''R2'' shows that even when enslaved by the Decepticons, some of the former Britannian nobility refuse to work with the Elevens to revolt, much to Guilford's shock and frustration.
** Cornelia is arguably the most prejudiced of the Royal Family against Transformers, referring to the Autobots as "vile abominations" and "machines" more than once, and her Decepticon allies as "aliens." She also refuses to stop Airachnid from slaughtering in the ghettos, since Airachnid's victims are mostly Japanese. She later lets go of her hatred at the end of ''R1'' when she joins the Black Knight-Autobot Alliance, ''R2'' showing her now being respectful to the Autobots and non-Britannians.
** Knight of Four Dorothea Ernst is the most prejudiced of the Knights of the Round, mouthing off to Starscream and Dreadwing, and is completely against Euphemia's Special Administrative Zone. During the SAZ Massacre, she not only obliges with killing the attendees, but also tries to kill Suzaku as well.
** Nina does not like the Japanese, but it's mostly out of fear than contempt due to an incident in the ghettos years before. She also becomes afraid of Cybertronians. By the time of ''R2'', she's come to terms with her issues, and now works alongside the Autobots and Black Knights.
** While the Decepticons will allow humans into their ranks if they are capable of contributing to their cause, most of them, with a few exceptions like Knock Out and Dreadwing, have a low opinion of humanity, and organics in general.
*** Of all Decepticons, Starscream is the most prejudiced against all of humanity. He even despises the design of their vehicles, as his jet mode caused him to look different than he did on Cybertron. The only human he has nothing negative to say about is Schneizel.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/JackieChanAdventures'' and ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans'' crossover fic ''Fanfic/AShadowOfTheTitans'' (part of ''Fanfic/ProjectDarkJade'') Suzano is a {{Jerkass}} with a great hatred of Jade, which he claims is due to her being part Oni while he claims to be descended from a Japanese god of the same name. But after it is revealed that he is on a team with a ghost and a demon, and that he also has racist feelings towards the very human Gadjo, it is suggested that he just uses it as an excuse to be rude to people.
** In general there's a lot of negative feelings towards Metas (subtle and not so subtle). This helps push Jade towards the HIVE.
** Gadjo ''really'' hates zombies.
** PlayedForLaughs when Jade accuses Beast Boy of doing racial profiling after he comments that she and Mumbo have a lot in common (them both being blue-skinned magic users).
* People with racist attitudes against Pokémon against exist in several ''Fanfic/InfinityTrainBlossomverse'' stories, with Chloe Cerise often using Fantastic Slurs against them at the start of her stories. Depending on the story she either overcomes the issue on her own and the implications are rarely addressed, if ever, the issue isn't addressed and this tendency remains a mark against her character by those around her, or Chloe does overcome it but the implications of the views hang around her like a DarkSecret she tries to keep as private as possible.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/JackieChanAdventures'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{WITCH}}'' crossover fanfic ''Fanfic/{{Kage}}'' (part of ''FanFic/ProjectDarkJade'') and its RecursiveFanfiction ''Fanfic/ShadowsOverMeridian'', this seems to have become a recurring theme:
** [[KnightTemplar Kur]], a elderly member of the rebels, has a hatred of shapeshifters ''so'' extreme it's kinda scary. And unfortunately, he appears to be the rule, not the exception -- while others haven't shown the extreme behavior he has, he not only has a strong following that supported a shapeshifter [[ThePurge purge]] he led during Phobos' reign, but there was another purge 200 years earlier that is implied to have been even ''worse''.
** There is also much disgust towards the [[OurOrcsAreDifferent Lurdens]].
** It's revealed that many people mistrust the [[OurGoblinsAreDifferent Passlings]] due to their [[AttentionDeficitOohShiny obsession]] to [[StickyFingers shining objects]] and annoying habit of trying to trade. Contrary to the rumors, most of them aren't thieves. Their [[ThePigPen smell]] may also have an effect on it.
** Galhots ("scaled people" in the ancient language of Meridian) are sometimes called [[FantasticSlurs Drakes]], which they find insulting. Once Vathek nearly broke a human in two for calling him a scaly Drake.
** It's show in ''Shadows'' that this is a pretty big problem on the Rebellion's side, with them repressing the more "monstrous" races of Meridian for being allegedly loyal to Phobos or just for existing.
** Shapeshifters seem to be capable of this among themselves as well; the kindly spider shapeshifter Sofia appears to have her own strong opinions about serpentine shapeshifters like Cedric and doesn't like them to be mixed up with each other. Cedric's reputation not helping the general view on shapeshifters may have something to do with it, but Maya suspects her mother may have just had a bad relationship with another snake shapeshifter.
* In ''Fanfic/KwamiMagiHomuraMagica'', members of the [[WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug Order of the Guardians]] have it as policy to kill any [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Magical Girl]] on sight, seeing them only as the Witches the Incubators intend for them to become and not as the Incubator's victims or human beings. This viewpoint has festered since the age of Atlantis when the Order formed to fight the Incubators and thus Magical Girls. While this is the orthodoxy shared by the vast majority of the Order, it is not ubiquitous among those associated with the Guardians: The Kwami certainly ''do not'' share this opinion while Master Fu and Ladybug also rebuff this viewpoint.
* This is enforced in ''Fanfic/MetalGearGreen''. The HPSC has crafted a society where people who end up on the shit end of the genetic lottery are constantly screwed over by society until they become villains the heroes are supposed to stop or commit suicide. As long as it brings in fuckloads of cash, the HPSC doesn't bother fixing it.
** Spinner was heavily discriminated because his Quirk makes him look 'freakish'. These range from dead lizards pinned to a wall, bricks hurled through his window so often he never bothered replacing them as it'll get broken again and having very little to no job opportunities. Had he not found the MSF logo, he would've been DrivenToVillainy or DrivenToSuicide.
** Fudaki views rescue heroes as nothing more than worthless and utterly pathetic positions, threatening Ochako that if she doesn't drop out of the Hero Course, [[ImpliedDeathThreat she will regret it.]]
** [[AvertedTrope Averted]] for the MSF, as to them, Quirk or no Quirk, war comes for them all.
* ''Fanfic/TheNightUnfurls'':
** [[OurElvesAreDifferent Dark elves]] have a long history of being enslaved, a commodity in the slave markets. Fed up with this predicament, the Dark Elf Queen Olga (plus her loyal vassal Chloe) developed a hatred towards humans and retaliated against Eostia's regime by starting a war [[ForeverWar that would last for centuries]]. [[FromBadToWorse The situation only worsened]]. At present, dark elves get so much enmity from the others, to the point where the mere act of bringing dark elves into Eostia's capital is forbidden. Even though the slavers are eventually crushed one by one, the narrative doesn't guarantee that the humans would stop hating the dark elves and vice versa.
** The dark elves are not alone in regards to troubles with human slavers -- the tribes of CatFolk known as Wild Ones had been forced out by the native humans and faced enslavement long before Celestine came into power.
** Kyril [[DiscussedTrope discusses this trope]] a couple of times in the original version, noting how the human race care a big deal about being "purer" than the non-human races. As he is about to meet the Wild Ones in person, he internally comments on the {{irony}} that the humans ended up following a high elf (Celestine) and named her a queen.
** The remastered version provides more details on Rad. It is a fortress city dedicated to the non-human population, specifically, as per The Rat, "the beast kin and all other folk that the Kingdom of Eostia once considered undesirable". While it is true that Rad has a reputation as the melting pot for human and non-human kind, which mitigates this trope a bit, there is an [[ImpliedTrope implication]] that this measure all but serves as a FantasticGhetto.
--->'''The Rat:''' '''Truly, [[CrystalDragonJesus the Goddess]] has done much for the sake of unity... and yet, at the same time so little.'''
* In ''Fanfic/NoHoper'' [[Manga/DeathNote Light]] believes all [[Literature/TheHouseOfNight vampyres]] to be evil blood-thirsty monsters. This becomes problematic when he is forced to live among them [[spoiler: [[KarmicTransformation after he becomes one himself]]]].
* Given ''Fanfic/{{Paradoxus}}'' is a ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'' fanfic, this trope is all over the place. In fact, people from [[WesternAnimation/WinxClub Magix]] are the only population that [[{{Averted}} averts]] this trope. The rest of the magical species plus Earth humans hate each other's guts.
** Sylvanas hatred comes from the fact it was a human, Arthas Menethil, who destroyed her precious homeland and condemned her to the Undead, thus sentencing her to a hellish existence in a limbo between life and death when she dies. Moreover, he kept her in a spiritual form, far from her corpse, and mind-controlled her until she freed herself. If that wasn't enough, humans look down and are awfully prejudiced against her new faction, the Forsaken. In the ''Paradoxus'' continuity, it was Genn Grayman, a half-human, who killed her yet again, preventing her from seizing the Val'kyrs' power. Sylvanas gleefully murders him again later and holds no contempt about rising human casualties from the death to add them to the Forsaken forces.
** Iladris, Sylvanas' adopted daughter, has, well, adopted her mother's worldview so she also disdains human beings, though maybe not as scathingly.
** Galadwen's reason to despise humans is less about her being on the receiving end of their cruelty and more about her getting a bigger picture thanks to her interdimensional travels (she's been at it for at least half a millennia) and finding humans are always the same each time. Each human civilization she has encountered has been belligerent, brutish, environment-destructive, and xenophobe. Moreover, the humans of the Earth's dimension actively hunt down and slaughter fairies (a kind of elf in this fic) and other magical creatures out of prejudice whenever they were aware of their existence. Another nail in the coffin was that she found the humans of Azeroth had subjugated the once-proud Kaldorei race. Kaldorei elves surpass them in both experience and wisdom yet the Alliance's leader is the human faction. So, Galadwen regards humans as forms of life even lower than most animals and doesn't care at all for their well-being. She may be a Goddess' ChosenOne, but she won't lift a finger to help a human in distress not even if their civilizations get destroyed by the multidimensional conflict she tries to stop.
** Some humans on Earth actively hunt fairies/witches down to imprison them and kill them right there if they feel merciful out of religious prejudice. You see, since magic on Earth was restored, it broke the monotheist religions' base of beliefs. After nearly a decade, there are people who, unable to deny their existence, demonize and dehumanize fairies and witches. It doesn't help that the majority of magic users (and the most powerful) are women and those religions don't have the greatest relationships with women. Remember the witch hunts from the Middle Ages? Well, they are an unearthed trend now.
* In ''Fanfic/PokemonCrossing'', sometimes anthro animals bully and discriminate against each other over their species. Dobie only hires deer to work for Team Cottage, while Raymond frequently bullied Kidd for being a goat.
* In ''[[FanFic/TheGodEmpressOfPonykind The Warmistress of Equestria]]'', the deer see almost all of the other races of Equestria as beneath them, although the one most vocalized is towards ponies -- they consider ponies to be backwards, short-sighted brutes who would try to exploit or destroy the deer.
* In ''FanFic/TheWorldOfTheCreatures'', the [[Film/{{Avatar}} the Na'vi]], [[Franchise/PlanetOfTheApes apes]], [[Series/DoctorWho and Silurians]] are all immediately distrustful of humans, and not exactly without reason.
* In ''Fanfic/{{Cranes}}'' (a DC Universe fanfic), Batman is so well known for his detesting of meta-humans that Gotham City is regarded as the absolute worst city in America in which to be one, and the local slang-term for a meta-human is "Deader-Than".
** This is so much the case that Johnny (a version of Scarecrow who was given a chance to live life as a hero) is terrified of telling Bruce and Alfred about his abilities. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone Bruce is horrified when this is revealed.]]
* The crossover ''Fanfic/ShepherdOfTheStars'' inherits this from both ''Franchise/MassEffect'' and ''VideoGame/SwordOfTheStars''. Humans have a (somewhat undeserved) reputation for being the worst offenders, though most other races tend to get in on it as well. The [[spoiler:Prester Zuul and Loa]] are the most frequent victims.
* Maleficent in ''Fanfic/TheQueensConsort'' clearly has no respect for humans, given her attitude towards Flynn.
* Hunters in ''Fanfic/TheStanfordAdventureClub'' tend to kill everything nonhuman - often justified because they tend to prey on innocent civilians. Still, Gil is very much nervous when he reveals to his best friend Dean he's actually [[HalfHumanHybrid half a fae by his mother]]. Thankfully, Dean only cares about the fact Gil never tried to hurt anyone.
** The British Men of Letters take it up to eleven, so much that Ardsley freaks out about his father killing him for being "tainted" if it were known he associated with the son of a powerful fae. Even before, the father wanted Ardsley to kill Gil -- who's Ardsley's friend -- to complete his initiation, even knowing Gil was harmless.
* ''Fanfic/MagicaeEstPotestas'': This is the main reason for why it takes so many runs for the monsters to be accepted initially, and is still present after the two-year TimeSkip.
%%** Humanity's Resurgence, or [[FunWithAcronyms HuRg]] for short, full stop.
* ''Fanfic/EarthsAlienHistory'' is a MassiveMultiplayerCrossover of many science fiction series, so inherits all their various examples. However, there are also a few examples unique to this particular universe:
** After the Romulans invade and occupy Thessia, most asari come to despise them. And that hatred is eventually extended to asari born of unions with Romulans as well, which drives many of them to emigrate to Romulan territory, becoming loyal citizens of the Star Empire who view themselves as Romulans who happen to be physically asari, and who hate the "normal" asari for driving them out.
** The Gemini are a hybrid race created when the Brute-type Husks (the ones made from a mixture of krogan and turians) were restored to life by Xerneas during the attempted invasion of [=ARC3-US=]. Both the turians and krogan alike view them as abominations, shunning them.
** Vulcan followers of Surakan Buddhism (a [[FantasticReligiousWeirdness mixed religious philosophy]] which seeks a middle ground between pure logic and pure emotion) are looked down upon by most of mainstream Vulcan society. At best, they're viewed as misguided; at worst, they're seen as heretics.
** In the MirrorUniverse, [=TeTO=]'s loss to the Mekon's alliance (and the Race and their vassals abandoning the organization shortly after) causes a rapid growth in xenophobia among humanity. While those species that had long been loyal are treated better, most others are subject to suspicion and hate crimes.
** The Cardassians are punished for their failed invasion of Klingon space during the Praxis War by being forced to surrender several colony systems to the Bajorans, who proceed to install an apartheid-style system of repression on them.
** The Zhat Vash's canon hatred of A.I.s has naturally expanded to include beings such as Cybertronians, Geth, and Digimon, the last of which they've been systematically exterminating whenever they appear in Pact space.
** The ''Series/StarTrekDiscovery'' version of Klingons are a subspecies created by the Goa'uld mixing their ancestors' DNA with that of the Unas. Because of this impurity and the taint of association with the Klingons' hated "gods", they're looked down upon and hated by the rest of the species.
** The Toads, or at least their corrupt aristocracy, have installed an apartheid state against non-Toads in the Mushroom Kingdom, with the Goombas in particular eventually fleeing to Bowser in order to escape persecution.
* Discussed in ''Fanfic/TheOdysseyResurgence''; after the ''Odyssey'' allows some of the Earth Defence Force on board, a few soldiers nearly shoot Teal'c and Vala just because they identity themselves as non-human, Landry making it clear that they'll have to recognize that the galaxy is a lot bigger than 'human' and 'alien' if they're going to find allies against the Harvesters.
* In the ''Series/{{Smallville}}''/''Film/TheFastAndTheFurious crossover'' ''Fanfic/OnTheRun'', when Lana and Lex learn that Clark is Kryptonian they immediately treat him as a threat despite all the evidence that Clark hasn't hurt anyone, to the point that Lana expresses disgust that she let Clark touch her. After the final battle, [[spoiler:Amanda Waller tries to have Clark contained as a potential threat even after he battled Doomsday to save the world, and is only prevented from doing so when Mister Nobody shows up to point out that if the superhuman alien without a brain nearly tore Spain apart it's not a good idea to make an enemy of the one that can think]].
* In the ''Franchise/HarryPotter''/Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse crossover ''Fanfic/TheLightningStrike'', after Harry Potter is sent to the MCU after his 'death' fighting Voldemort, he becomes curious about whether there are other witches and wizards in this world. Thor's research reveals that, during the war with the Dark Elves, certain humans allied with Malekith and were granted power from the Aether (the Reality Stone). These humans turned on the Dark Elves after learning the scale of Malekith's plans, but Bor, Thor's grandfather, denounced them as abominations and traitors, forcing a high-ranking magic user to help Bor's forces find other such magic-users in exchange for his own life being spared (Harry and Thor speculate that this is the moment when their worlds diverged, as this man likely rejected that offer in Harry's world).
* In the ''Fanfic/ResurgenceSeries'', witnessing Jacob Black dismiss Peter Petrelli and Claire Bennett as ‘freaks’ because of their abilities is a key reason Bella Swan never sees him as a romantic interest.
* Invoked in the ''Series/BattlestarGalactica2003''/''Series/StarTrekVoyager'' crossover "[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3699108/1/To-The-Journey To the Journey]]"; when the senior staff of Galactica learn that the Doctor is a hologram, Lee Adama in particular expresses concern that the other ship’s doctor is an artificial life-form given their own experience with the Cylons. However, Admiral Adama and President Roslin acknowledge that they aren’t in a position to criticise their rescuers for their choice of medic, accepting Janeway's explanation that the Federation have taken precautions in developing artificial intelligences to prevent a Cylon-esque uprising and the Doctor is an exceptional case regardless as most A.I.s in the Federation aren’t given the freedom to develop that the Doctor has received. In the end, the Galactica senior staff convince those crewmembers who know the Doctor’s true nature to keep it secret, while the Doctor chooses a name to limit the risk of someone else in the Colonial Fleet realising he’s an artificial life-form.
* In the ''Fanfic/DoctorInTheUnderworld'' series, Viktor demonstrates this towards lycans as in canon.
* In ''Fanfic/TheSecretKeeper'', after the Battle of Hogwarts, Emmett Cullen asks Bella why Voldemort never tried to become a vampire as a means of pursuing immortality, Bella musing that at least part of it was Voldemort’s own belief in his own superiority over non-humans, as well as him not wanting to do something so many other people had done.
* In ''FanFic/NeitherABirdNorAPlaneItsDeku'', alien superheroes are under intense scrutiny due to the destruction wrought by the Red Lantern Corp during the [[GreatOffscreenWar Lantern War]]. It's implied that several of them, including the unambiguously good Comicbook/MartianManhunter and ComicBook/{{Starfire}}, were either killed or forced underground because of this. Mankind as a whole is so suspicious of alien activity that Alan Scott, the Green Lantern, has sat in his KillSat, the Green Palace, for several ''decades'' to shoot down anything that remotely resembles an alien spacecraft. This is culturally reinforced by anti-alien propaganda films, textbooks, and merchandise and it's entirely possible to be arrested and detained solely for being suspected of being an alien. Naturally, this makes it even harder for Izuku to accept his place in society in this story since he's the Midoriyas' Kryptonian WonderChild. Luckily for him, his idol [[TheParagon All Might]] [[AllLovingHero has no such prejudices.]]
* In ''Fanfic/SuddenContact'', this is the general state of things after the Zerg invasion of the galaxy. The invasion ended with the asari losing their homeworld and status as a galactic superpower. Without the asari to mediate the peace, the turians and the salarians enter into a cold war with each other over conflicting ideologies. At the same time, the Terran Dominion and the Kel-Morian Combine (joined by their Batarian allies) are engaged in their own brewing conflict. The quarians and the geth have an even more toxic view of each other than in canon, as during the war, the quarians attempted to take advantage of the geth's preoccupation with the Zerg to reclaim Rannoch. This failed, and a large percentage of the quarian population was killed.
* ''Fanfic/FalloutEquestria'': Being a ''VideoGame/{{Fallout}}'' fic, this was inevitable.
** In the backstory, when the war with the zebras kicked off, the [[PropagandaMachine Ministry of Image]] started encouraging racism against zebras. Zebratown, the only zebra settlement in Equestria, was basically a prison camp, and one of the guards thought nothing of raping a zebra mare (his boss, [[NobleBigotWithABadge though heavily racist himself, stopped him]]). Even two hundred years later, most ponies are terrified of zebras as harbingers of the end.
** The Steel Rangers started as Applejack's elite fighting force, and when the bombs fell they began hoarding technology with the stated goal of protecting the innocent from technology. Somewhere along the way, this transformed into protecting technology from the innocent. By the time of the story, the Steel Rangers are little more than high-tech raiders, and their Elders have decided to go to ground where they can wait for the "undeserving" to destroy themselves and eventually return to reclaim the surface themselves. [[spoiler:Steelhooves, one of the original Rangers, manages to convince a large segment to break off as Applejack's Rangers, rededicated to protecting the innocent]].
** The pegasi consider themselves above unicorns and earth ponies--literally, as they've sealed up the entire sky with a curtain of clouds. They live above the clouds, never coming down except for rare scouting missions. The Enclave tell the civilians that the surface is poison and the only ponies left are raiders who have slowly acclimated to the poison. Eventually the Enclave starts a war by coming down and blasting everything they see. While they start with the raiders, they soon start attacking everyone else who might be harboring fugitives. [[spoiler:Like the Steel Rangers, a large number of the Enclave break off, as they didn't sign up to execute children and unarmed civilians]].
** Red Eye's Stable was designed to be earth pony only, as part of a social experiment. By the time he left, the Overmare and the other leaders were convinced that only earth ponies could create anything of worth, dismissing unicorn magic and pegasi flight as lazy tricks and shortcuts. Red Eye, who had been doing scouting missions to the Wasteland, pointed out the many advantages of unity and diversity; unicorns, for example, can cast a healing spell to instantly cure any poison, while an earth pony would have to study the poison and develop an antidote, which would likely take too long. [[TamperingWithFoodAndDrink That's when the Overmare and the other leaders realize Red Eye hasn't touched his drink]].
* ''Fanfic/{{SAPR}}'': Against faunus, as per ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'' canon, but more pronounced in this story.
* ''Fanfic/ASongOfSilkAndSaplings'':
** Hornet, as a result of what she was told about the moths of Hollownest being responsible for the return of the Radiance and the coming of the Infection, has a deeply ingrained distrust and fear of moths. She knows that it's an irrational fear, and she tries to be civil with the Bugarian moths, but it still causes issues.
** Hornet is a spider, which in Bugaria are nearly all non-sapient predators, and thus more than one person who learns her species distrusts her. It doesn't help Vi's reaction that she found out by seeing Hornet drain a non-sapient bug for lunch.
** In general, carnivorous bugs were only accepted into Bugarian society relatively recently, and there aren't any dining establishments that openly serve meat due to an unspoken agreement that carnivores can stay so aren't seen eating meat in public. The Wasp Kingdom, given that Wasps can eat meat, is the exception to this.
* In the ''Fanfic/InfinityCrisis'' side-story ''Infinity Crisis: The Inhumans'', Billy Roberts openly expresses hostility towards the Inhumans, seeing them as unnatural monsters that have no concept of humanity.
* ''Fanfic/MyDriverAcademia'':
** All of Aldera, staff, students, and Bakugo hate and belittle Izuku just because he's Quirkless.
** Bakugo downright ''hates'' Pyra and, by extension, other Blades.
** Aizawa doesn't seem to have a very high opinion of Blades, either, so much so he deliberately sabotaged Izuku, Nia, Momo, and Denki's scores during the Quirk assessment test, rigging the results to ensure they're in the lower half. He goes as far as to put Izuku at the absolute bottom of the rankings, [[MovingTheGoalposts on the grounds that he doesn't HAVE a Quirk to assess]]. According to the WordOfGod, part of the reason is because his Quirk doesn't work on Blades, making him effectively useless against them.
** [[SuperSupremacist Rikiya Yotsubashi]] regarded Izuku and Reiko Yanagi with disgust because both are Quirkless.
* ''[[Fanfic/StarWarsVsWarhammer40K Star Wars vs Warhammer 40K]]'', being a crossover between ''Franchise/StarWars'' and ''TabletopGame/Warhammer40000'', inherits this from both sides. It is, of course, most obvious amongst the Imperium's InvadingRefugees; when they conquer one Republic world, they set up [[FinalSolution death camps]] to genocide the visibly non-human inhabitants, whilst the Crimson Razors Chapter launches a genocidal campaign through Separatist space. When a viewpoint Imperial soldier named Farnus wakes up as a prisoner in a Republic medical camp in episode 41 part 1, being surrounded by an alien Jedi (or "witch") and medi-droids, both of whom are essentially Satan figures in the Imperium's mythos, is so terrifying to him that [[BringMyBrownPants he loses control over his bladder in sheer fear]].
* ''Fanfic/ThroughHerEyes'': Faunus and Humans just like in canon. The author goes on to show the reasons and how people react to it.
** There's an Anti-terrorist Unit which unfortunately often boils to pacifying faunus groups. Some of them carried weapons but [[AmbiguousSituation it's unclear if they were for protection against Grimm or something more nefarious.]] The situation is muddied by the fact that there were occurrences of ear-taking as a form of [[CreepySouvenir trophies.]] Weiss is obviously disgusted.
** Both Ruby and Yang note that Patch has a concentration of Anti-faunus attitudes. As Yang says it plenty of jerks back at home.
*** On the other hand, she also recalls when she was invited to a birthday party from one of the faunus families (there are about ten of them, apparently) and the dad of the kid thought she was there to spy on them.
** One of the older students had set up a stand promoting a support group for other faunus students, called ''Youth of the White Fang''. She makes a point that they do not condone Vale White Fangs chapter's actions. Still, one of those students says he doesn't care if they are aflicted or not, because his relative died in Fangs' raid. Marina can't help but feel sympathetic and even admits she had a similar mindset, and used to imagine humans as monsters going their way to get them. Her stay at Beacon helped her grow out of it, but apparently, such an attitude is normal in her home village.
*** She sometimes gets harassed by other students but rarely by groups, because it would draw Ozpin's attention.
** During their trip to Vale, Yang and Weiss happened to see a bunch of thugs harassing a faunus leafleteer. Weiss wanted to stay away and call the police but Yang simply went and beat them up. Weiss later chastises herself for doing nothing.
*** Shortly after, Yang dips into it [[spoiler:after Weiss assassination attempt]], even calling them [[FantasticSlurs Animals]]. Very notable because she's firmly on Faunus' side beforehand. It doesn't last long and it's obvious it was motivated by [[AngerBornOfWorry worry and anger.]]
* ''Fanfic/ThereWasOnceAnAvengerFromKrypton'':
** The Forever Knights, as per [[WesternAnimation/Ben10 canon]], despise aliens and other non-humans, with particular focus given towards their goal of wiping out the [[WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}} trolls]].
** [[WesternAnimation/MyLifeAsATeenageRobot Nora Wakeman]] hates, or at least strongly mistrusts, most aliens due to a bad encounter with a [[Film/CaptainMarvel2019 Kree]] RenegadeSplinterFaction in the 80s.

* ''Fanfic/FrozenHeartsRedWitch'': Both Damon and Barton show incredible hatred towards all the creatures in Ooo but while the former did not attempt to hide this, the latter tries to get on their good graces and generally acting polite before he can backstab them. That is until his VillainousBreakdown where he began acting no better than Damon.
* ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13310518/1/In-Extremis In Extremis]]'': Malloy the leader of Humantown isolates his people from the rest of Ooo and would later reveal to a captured Finn that he looks down on the inhabitants of Ooo viewing the candy people as sugar mutants. Claiming that the current inhabitants took the humans place as masters of the world. His plan is to revive humanity’s dominance by using the Lich as a power source to generate a field that would delete the consciousness of all sentient life on Ooo.

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/AllHailKingJulien'']]
* ''Fanfic/MaroonedInMadagascar'': Has two overarching examples:
** Due to being a [[CarnivoresAreMean fossa]], Mary Ann naturally becomes a social pariah once she becomes a citizen of Julien’s kingdom, with even the [[NiceGuy nicest people]] like Ted and Dorothy being terrified of her, while others, like [[GrumpyOldMan Hector]] and [[ObnoxiousEntitledHousewife Tammy]] would rather see her chased out with pitchforks and torches. The scorn and ostracization carry over to Mary Ann’s husband, Horst, who is treated as a dangerous loon for being married to a fossa.
*** In general, the [[XenophobicHerbivore lemurs and other vegetarian animals]] seem to be prejudiced against meat-eaters, even if the latter aren’t bothering them in any way, like Julien’s shock upon finding out that Karl is a meat-eater in ''A Foe in Need''.
** The penguins, [[NobleBigot especially]] [[BornInTheWrongCentury Skipper]], are very patronizing towards the lemurs, treating them like hapless, backwater imbeciles, and are even willing to pillage the latter’s resources for their own gain (like trying to highjack King Julien’s plane without his consent).

[[AC:''VideoGame/AzurLane'']]
* ''Fanfic/ChroniclesOfTheSirenWar'': This fic portrays how the common man sees a kansen (shipgirl), especially in a World War II setting.
** Pre-war, it's clear that most of the Eagle Union navy have various degrees of dislike towards the kansen, seeing them as useless girls who get in the way of a crew's operation. Understandably, a number of kansen develop rather negative feelings towards humanity. That all changes once the war begins; Azur Lane's exploits prove just how powerful kansen can be when treated properly, and even many kansen still serving in the Union navy proper start developing close bonds with their crews and officers as a natural consequence of fighting side by side against the Sakura.
** While Sakura and Ironblood high command better understand the true potential of kansen, this doesn't stop them from initially treating their shipgirls like weapons with no rights, which is precisely what drives said shipgirls into the arms of the Sirens.
** Potentially averted with the Royal Navy. On one hand, the Royals have had the foresight to officially grant their kansen a great deal of real autonomy, with HMS Queen Elizabeth being in charge of their forces instead of a Royal officer. On the other hand, the exact state of relationships between Royal kansen and the Royal military proper is still rather vague for now.

* Basically defied for the main characters in ''Fanfic/DidIMakeTheMostOfLovingYou''; while Adama and Roslin prepare for war with the Cylons even after Adar announces a planned peace treaty, this isn’t because Adama and Roslin don’t trust Cylons, but because they recognise that the peace they achieved in the original timeline required a very specific set of circumstances that can’t be easily recreated, and certainly won’t be possible in the current situation no matter what Adar believes. By contrast, [[spoiler:Commander Dagon of the Battlestar ''Prometheus'' allies with Zarek and tries to stage a coup primarily because he’s angry at Roslin and Adama giving Boomer a pardon and a commission in the Fleet just because she’s a Cylon, even though they can confirm that Boomer never participated in the Cylon attack and actually saved lives]].

They then agree that if they can't remake the Central 46 with people who avert this then the Vizards and Ichigo (since he's one of them) will have a valid reason to hate and destroy Soul Society. They generally do this to make peace with the Vizards and not prompt a GodMode Ichigo to come after them.

[[AC:''Literature/{{Discworld}}'']]
* A Discworld "South Africa" has been introduced in FanFiction, which combines both the "mundane" racism inherent in UsefulNotes/TheApartheidEra with the "fantastic" racism of the Discworld - for instance, Igors are not appreciated in "[[AmoralAfrikaner Rimwards Howondaland]]" because they have a terrible habit of matching serviceable parts from black-skinned people to white-skinned people who, well, need serviceable parts. This (as well as the regrettable habit of vampires mingling black and white blood as if it didn't matter) is held by the authorities to be a seditious plot to bring apartheid into disrepute. White Howondaland also has problems the old South Africa did not have, involving the precise racial classification of Dwarfs, Trolls, goblins, and the apparently blue-skinned [=NacMacFeegle=]. 180
[[folder:E-L]]
[[AC:''Franchise/TheElderScrolls'']]
* Basically one of the main themes for ''Fanfic/DragonFromAsh''.
** As the protagonist is a Dunmer in Skyrim, we get to see first-hand how the infamously isolationist Nords react to him: a merchant blatantly rips him off for traveling with him, he's frequently called "elf" instead of being asked his name, someone expresses wonder at the idea that Dark Elves are ''not'' lookalikes, and more than a few people are disgusted to see him acclaimed as the Dragonborn.
** On the other hand, the Dunmers aren't much better. They openly sneer at humans whom they consider an inferior race, calling them outlanders and dismissing them as worthless. They also don't like their immigrant brethren, with the protagonist getting furious when one of them casually greets him.
** Thalmor are basically hated by everybody. It's so bad that Nords will give other races a pass from hostility as long as they dump on the Thalmor -- who give back just as good since they hate the whole world.

* ''FanFic/ShatteredReflection'': With Robin and his counterpart-from-another-universe Rose both being biologically Plegian, they both suffer from a lot of abuse and distrust from the other Shepherds. This was enough to cause many fans to start rooting for Rose to simply kill them all.

* A key plot element of ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7717555/1/Walking-A-Fine-Line Walking a Fine Line]]'' is Leela realising the scale of the racism the sewer mutants have been subjected to over the centuries. She visits a mutant doctor to get a check-up after learning that she's pregnant as a result of a one-night-stand with Fry, and is informed that legally, she can't do ''anything'' to the baby without Fry's consent because doctors would only consider him to have any legal rights to their child solely because he's human. Hearing that a human could be legally free to order a mutant to have an abortion without giving the mutant any say in the matter, Leela is left shaken at the thought, even as she realizes that, for all her problems with the idea of a relationship with Fry, the fact that she was a mutant and he was human was never a problem because she knew that Fry genuinely didn't care about that.

[[AC:''Literature/{{Gate}}'']]
* A mix of both real-world and FantasticRacism is seen in ''Fanfic/TheFightWeChose'' as the story takes place in TheSixties with UsefulNotes/TheVietnamWar in the backdrop. On top of the existing racism against non-humans in Falmart by the local humans of that world, many Americans back in the US dislike the new arrival of demi-human war brides and have formed fringe organizations that intend to work against such miscegenation efforts. Ironically, these groups have both white ''and'' black supremacists [[EnemyMine willingly working together]] against what they perceive as an outside threat to ''their own'' racial rights issues.

[[AC:''Franchise/HarryPotter'']]
* This is parodied in ''Fanfic/OhGodNotAgain'' when Luna asks Snape if he is a Living-ist, or someone who judges based on whether or not a person is dead or alive.
* Averted in ''FanFic/{{crawlersout}}''. Blood purity beliefs are nonexistent in America, which is apparently the bastion of magical liberalism. Tom's exposure to a magical world where blood status is a non-issue means he is less likely to develop the hypocritical prejudices his alternate-future counterpart had. Unfortunately, while magical racism is nonexistent in America, classism is still very much alive, judging by the conflicts between OldMoney and NouveauRiche that Tom is exposed to.
* In ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6673523/4/Ex-Sanguis Ex Sanguis]]'' Harry discovers that he's actually an elven prince. During his first geography lesson, his instructor and his translator display a condescending disregard for all non-elven species in the area, finding nothing wrong with having driven one such species off their land so the elves could occupy it.
* In ''Fanfic/HarryPotterAndTheMagicOfTheBeasts'', Magical Britain is this in spades to magical creatures, non-magical people and first-gens. It's also [[DeconstructionFic deconstructed]] as this type of racism and blatant mistreatment of a vast majority of the citizenry has resulted in Magical Britain being excluded from all events, barring Quidditch, due to both the systematic discrimination and nature rendering life for a first-gen or magical creature in Magical Britain very difficult.
** This is why Hermione has to use glamour charms to hide her status as a Nekomata in the first two years of Hogwarts. If her status came out, the British Ministry would execute her for being a half-breed. Harry showing Fudge the permanent, irrevocable laws of the ICW that protected magical creatures like Hermione is what forces Fudge to back off trying to execute her.
** Ron shows shades of this due to being a firm believer of the Light. He holds outright racist views towards magical creatures like Hermione (and even before, when Hermione disguised herself as a First-Gen, viewed Hermione as a toy for him to get as a reward), shows deep resentment and hatred towards Slytherin students, and despises the ICW laws that protect Hermione. This constantly causes him endless amounts of failure because Emily, her circle of friends and even three of his siblings can see his true colors.
** Despite Harry being fairly powerful and brutal to his enemies, Narius believes he's weak compared to him, [[SarcasmMode a superior being.]] [[OffWithHisHead That costs him his head.]]

* ''Fanfic/TopOfTheLineEditorBug'': Erbium, Tak's supervisor on Aggrage 9, clearly hates Irkens, and makes it clear he only hired her to help him meet his quotas. He constantly talks down to her and takes any excuse to berate her or insult her species in general.

* ''Fanfic/TheUltimateEvil'':
** The Demon Sorcerers have a low opinion of humans in general and consider them to be beneath them in every aspect. 232** A semi-{{justified|trope}} example occurs with Shendu and Drago in the sequel when the human characters start debating whether or not it's possible to turn demons good. Valerie, a MoralityPet for both [[VillainousCrush Shendu]] and [[spoiler:their [[KidFromTheFuture future]] son]] Drago, personally hopes to make that a reality. 279* ''Fanfic/TheBlackStallion'': Black ponies are despised and ostracized by the tribe. All-black ponies are seen as outright demonic. Few black ponies last past foalhood. The ones that do are treated as outcasts.

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'']]
* Generally speaking, it's a common assumption in the fandom that the earth ponies -- the least outwardly magical pony breed -- suffer discrimination from pegasi and unicorns, and that other species such as changelings and griffons receive discrimination from ponies in general. Numerous FantasticSlurs are also recurring; "mud ponies", for example, is one commonly used for earth ponies, as is "dirt ponies". Unicorns are sometimes referred to as "narwhals", "pinheads" or "screwheads". "Featherduster" and "featherbrain" have cropped up for pegasi. Zebras have been referred to as "ziggers". Changelings have been called "bugs" or "insects". Dragons are sometimes called "lizards". And in the same way humans sometimes call ponies "horses", ponies sometimes call humans "monkeys" or "apes".
* ''Fanfic/AllAmericanGirlShinzakura'': Due to a very bad first-contact situation humans and ponies have plenty of mistrust between them even twenty years later, reflected in slurs. While the ponies have been rather tame in their epithets of humanity ("monkeys" are the worst that's been said, although they later come up with more creative slurs such as "skinners"), humans, on the other hand, have been a bit more colorful:
-->'''Lyra:''' Let me see if I can recall some of the speciest slurs made about ponies: Kickstands. Tugs. Geldos. [[spoiler: Roadshitters]]. [[spoiler: [[UsefulNotes/CatherineTheGreat Cathyfuckers]]]]. I don't even ''know'' what that means.
* ''Fanfic/TheAssassinationOfTwilightSparkle'': It's mentioned that one of Twilight's planned reforms was more tolerance of other races. Naturally, the nobles weren't too keen on this.
* ''Fanfic/ABriefHistoryOfEquestria'', which focuses on the founding of the nation, naturally delves into this. FantasticSlurs crop up (earth ponies get two: groundpounders from pegasi, and muddies from unicorns). Most of the unicorn nobility are very much against going anywhere near earth ponies on general principle, seeing them as nothing more than a whole race of servants, while the pegasi don't think highly of anyone who can't fly. It leads to a major upset in one battle, when an army of earth ponies manage to fight off a unicorn militia using ''pies'', and only suffer one casualty in the process (and that poor soul only died because they choked on a sandwich). Commander Hurricane is more progressive than the average Pegasus (which isn't saying much), but when he learns an Earth pony is in a relationship with his daughter, and got her pregnant, he tries to kill the guy. Of course, Chancellor Puddinghead's [[BlatantLies diplomatic response]] didn't help. And even after the Hearth Warming, there's still a lot of hurdles to overcome, for everyone, as Hurricane's last son (by Clover the Clever) finds out first-hoof -- being a unicorn in the pegasus-dominated military, he only makes officer status out of respect of his father, while being sidelined for any real advancement in favor of less experienced and competent pegasi. [[spoiler: This policy ends up costing Equestria during the Talonhoof Assault.]]
* ''Fanfic/BloomingMoonChronicles'': This trope pops up a few times, most prominently in Starlit Knights. In ancient times, earth ponies were used as slaves, and referred to as "slave hooves". Racism generally has declined over time in most parts of Equestria, but some places, such as the town of North Neigh, still practice unicorn-supremacist beliefs.
* ''Fanfic/CallOfTheMountain'': Griffon society is divided into two main groups, the eagle griffons of Griffonstone and the lynx griffins of the mountains, who predate the city's founding and spell their species' name differently. Lynx griffins aren't very welcome in eagle griffon society, and [[spoiler:when the Idol of Boreas goes missing, the eagle griffins are very quick to blame the lynx griffins' supposedly untrustworthy natures and form into a lynch mob]].
* ''[[http://www.fimfiction.net/story/142256/citizen-weevil/ Citizen Weevil]]'': FantasticRacism and race/species relations are certainly among the major themes in the story, in which a changeling family, amongst thousands of others at a time of mass migration, has immigrated to Equestria and is now living in Six Points, a deprived multi-species district in Lower Manehattan home to ponies, changelings, diamond dogs, griffins, zebras, etc. Unlike many other ''MLP'' fanfics discussing racism, the majority of cases of racism are of casual and institutional racism and cultural clashes instead of full-on oppression, as these are immigrants legally allowed entry into the country -- overall, the situation is very similar to that found in American immigrant neighborhoods in the early 1900s, on which the setting is based.
* ''[[https://www.fimfiction.net/story/50744/city-of-guilds City of Guilds]]'': Celestia and Luna seem to have this toward ponies who go against their definition of "natural order"; for example, Luna doesn't think highly of Rainbow Dash due to her Simic Combine BioAugmentation and Celestia actually plans to kill Applejack and lie to her family about it because she's undead, even though it was an EmergencyTransformation.
* ''Fanfic/TheConversionBureau'': Largely in a meta sense -- ponies constantly and unendingly deride the works of man, and the authors are on their side. In-universe it goes both ways. Equestrians tend to see humans as brutes, savages, and violent monkeys. Humans see Equestrians as invaders, and worse than murderers for the use of potions on people. Slurs tend to either relate to humans being primates, or referring to Equestrians as Gluesticks, Merry-Go-Round toys, and other such terms.
* ''Fanfic/{{Delusions}}'': Celestia and Luna were mules prior to ascending. There was heavy HalfBreedDiscrimination towards mules in their youth. Even millennia later, mules are still looked down upon by both many ponies ''and'' donkeys.
%%* ''Fanfic/DiariesOfAMadman'': Celestia used this to unite the pony tribes, after her previous plan backfired.%%ZCE -- how?
* ''Fanfic/ADiplomaticVisit'':
** The Pony Vegan Environmentalists is a group of ponies who dislike anyone who isn't a pony and whom Swift-Pad views as "a radical species and lifestyle supremacist movement", due to their repeated efforts to get themselves in trouble near the borders between Equestria and the Packlands, and then make ''themselves'' out to be the victims.
** Gargoyles and centaurs stay out of Equestria due to fears of being on the receiving end of this due to the actions of their former Prince Tirek ages ago.
* ''Fanfic/DiscordsNewBusiness'': In Chapter 8, Princess Luna is transformed into a zebra for a day. During her exploration of Canterlot while in this form, she is turned away from a pair of high-end businesses... and is then beaten up by corrupt guards, as had eighteen non-ponies before her. To say the least, [[BigSisterInstinct Princess Celestia does not take the revelation lightly.]]
* ''Fanfic/EquestriaAHistoryRevealed'': It seems that the binds of racism do run deep in Equestria, being the cause of social and political unrest a few times. The [[LemonyNarrator narrator]], of course, is herself a great example of Fantastic Racism and goes as far as to put down the other races while raising earth ponies up on a pedestal whenever possible. She also seems to have an irrational hatred of griffins, goats, and a whole bunch of other races. This trait of hers is PlayedForLaughs, though.
* ''Fanfic/EquestriaDivided'': Houses Earthborn, Moon and Star, and Stormwing are extremely devoted to their belief that one tribe of ponies, and one alone, is superior and should rule:
** House Earthborn favors earth ponies, although they also include pegasi and buffalo -- their main issue is with magic, and they will not allow magic-users such as unicorns among their ranks.
** House Moon and Star is unicorn-supremacist and enslaves the pegasi and earth ponies it rules over.
** House Stormwing is devoted to pegasus dominance, and while they allow other ponies in their ranks these are always as auxiliaries or laborers and never gain the glory or power that their pegasus fellows can. They also include a fair number of griffons, and generally give them more respect than they do non-pegasus ponies.
* ''Fanfic/FeralWorld'': Many Equestrians look down on humans for not having any kind of magic and the humans aren't very fond of the Equestrians constantly treating them like crap either, and that was ''before'' the outbreak.
* ''Fanfic/TheFlightOfTheAlicorn'':
** When Blueblood hosts a dinner for the various racing teams participating in the Alicorn's Cup, his unicorn mother insults not only the griffons, three zebras, and one camel attending but also the pegasi and earth ponies present. In the words of Blueblood himself:
--->'''Blueblood:''' As you may have gathered at the dinner, she abhors commoners, non-unicorns, and non-ponies, in order of increasing disgust.
** General Karroc and his followers view ponies as witless prey animals undeserving of honor or respect since those are things reserved for people. Tempest and his own cohorts despise griffins in return, viewing them as savage animals and monsters incapable of civilized behavior and deserving only of eradication. They ironically enough end up conspiring with each other and against their mutual governments, since they share an ambition to provoke war between their nations and each firmly believes that his side will be able to wipe out the other in a full conflict.
* ''Fanfic/{{Fluttermom}}'': Empyreanists are a group of Pegasi who believe that any species that cannot fly is inferior. The author has specifically referred to them as the pony KKK.
* ''WebVideo/FriendshipIsWitchcraft'' has anti-earth pony sentiments spouted frequently. Pinkie Pie in particular received a lot of this growing up. In her orphanage, she was seen as inferior to other foals and passed over because she is an earth pony. As an adult, her plan for the problem with Fluttershy's father was to get him to adopt her, but he refused because she wasn't a pegasi or unicorn.
* ''Fanfic/AGreatAndPowerfulHeart'': Trixie has the misfortune of touring Promise, a town founded by Filli Terram, a group of Earth Pony supremacists. The townspeople shows enormous disdain for her magic abilities, and the sheriff unjustly imprisons Trixie, pushing her into doing his bidding. [[spoiler:Jasper, a unicorn colt, spent his life being bullied and belittled by the townspeople, and when he (and Dinky who he befriended) got lost, the townspeople were all too willing to [[MoralEventHorizon abandon them to die in a dangerous forest for simply being unicorns]].]]
* ''Fanfic/HarmonysWarriors'':
** Lots between Unicorns and Earth Ponies in ''Captain Equestria''. The latter are referred to by less savory characters as "[[FantasticSlurs diggers]]" and are treated like second-class citizens, which of course inspires a lot of hate back the other way.
** Diamond Dogs are seen as idiotic brutes. Rarity is quite surprised at how intelligent Kili is.
** Trixie doesn't think much of thestrals (batponies, who are the dwarves of this universe), at least not enough to approve of her son marrying one.
* ''Fanfic/HeirOfTheNightmare'': The Lunar Pegasi, the ponies with bat wings, suffered horrific persecution in ancient times, due to their dark appearance. Regular pegasi made it a hobby of [[WouldHurtAChild throwing Lunar Pegasi foals off of clouds to their deaths]]. [[spoiler: [[ReligionOfEvil The Knights of Ra]] also made it a habit of sacrificing Lunar Pegasi]]. Their present-day loyalty to [[BigBad Nightmare Moon]] is because [[PetTheDog she was the only one who would shelter them]].
* ''Fanfic/ItsADangerousBusinessGoingOutYourDoor'': Gildedale, an earth pony country, deeply distrusts anything to do with magic. This extends to unicorns and pegasi themselves, to the point of them being outright banned from entering Gildedale since the Daleponies believe that pegasi or unicorns merely being present in their country is a threat to their traditional way of life.
* ''Fanfic/MyBravePonyStarfleetMagic'': [[DesignatedHero Members of Starfleet]] [[SuperiorSpecies tend to point out how much superior they are compared to Equestrians quite often.]]
* ''Fanfic/MyChoicesTwistedTalesThroughTime'': In the past, only unicorns are allowed to read. Pegasi and earth ponies were forbidden to even enter a library. Ancient ponies were also deeply prejudiced towards other species, such as zebras, griffons, diamond dogs, and buffalo, whom they viewed as primitive barbarians. Blue Star seeks to rectify this, and the chapters set in the present show Equestria as a fully integrated multi-species society.
* ''Fanfic/TheNuptialverse'':
** One of the main themes in ''Families'' is the racism towards dragons that Spike suffered growing up in Canterlot, and which is used as a propaganda tool by [[VillainWithGoodPublicity Olive Branch]]'s anti-Celestia conspiracy.
** As shown in ''[[StartOfDarkness Metamorphosis]]'', [[spoiler: Chrysalis, back when she [[WasOnceAMan was a normal pegasus]], felt that earth ponies and unicorns were inferior]].
* ''Fanfic/HeartOfGoldFeathersOfSteel'':
** Gilda's father outright hates ponies. Gilda's exile is due solely to her friendship with Dash.
** In ''Fanfic/SummerDaysAndEveningFlames'', Gilda, a griffon, is called a "half-breed" by a [[{{Hypocrite}} pegasus]].
* ''Fanfic/ThePiecesLieWhereTheyFell'':
** Changelings, despite being referred to as the "Fourth Tribe", are treated extremely poorly by most upper-class ponies due to Chrysalis' role in the tragedy of a thousand years ago. Griffons raised in Canterlot are also on the receiving end of this, though they're not nearly as bad off.
** In an inversion, aside from matters involving Changelings, tribalism between the other five races (unicorns, pegasi and bat/nox ponies, earth ponies, crystal ponies, and seaponies) has all but vanished, as they all live in peace together.
** Rex the Diamond Dog mentions once applying to the Academy for a place as their alchemy professor but was turned down due to his species, claiming that only a “true Equestrian” could have a proper understanding of the subject and thus the ability to teach it to others.
* ''Fanfic/PinkieTales'': In ''The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Rariwolf'', Rariwolf attributes Rainbow Swine's lack of architectural ability to the fact that she is a dumb pig. Rariwolf herself seems genuinely hurt that the pigs think she is just a big, ugly, savage, and hungry beast trying to get an easy meal and not the very civilized wolf trying to critique their architecture ability she actually is.
* In ''Fanfic/PonyPOVSeries'', there ''is'' racism, but isn't very common. It exists, it's harmed some characters in the past, but it is not a common belief, and Celestia is ''not'' happy it exists at all. Surprisingly, in the [[BadFuture Dark World]], it seems even ''less'' common. [[spoiler:During the CosmicRetcon at the end of Rumors, Applebloom [[RetGone alters history so this kind of racism died out at after the Windigos]].]]
* In ''Fanfic/SavageSkies'' Dawn Lightwing is reviled and called a demon due to having eyes like Nightmare Moon. Further, tribalists show up as antagonists on multiple occasions.
* ''Fanfic/RitesOfAscension'' sees a noble fined 200,000 bits for tossing a slur like that. The issue, as far as Celestia and Luna are concerned, is that the amount is too ''low''. Twilight's mother does the same thing in front of Celestia...
* ''Fanfic/TriptychContinuum'':
** The fact that many ponies don't think very highly of those outside their particular "tribe" is a very prominent aspect of the story. Unlike many such stories in the [=FiM=] fandom, it's not purely a case of unicorn supremacists; indeed, earth ponies seem to be just as prone to it as unicorns, perhaps even more so — after all, earth ponies are the only tribe who considers it necessary to actively hide the true extent of their powers, whilst unicorns and pegasi freely talk about the nuances of their abilities if asked. Applejack herself is a PoliticallyIncorrectHero with some unconsciously hypocritical views, whilst Pinkie Pie's father was a fanatic bigot who even looked down upon earth ponies who didn't hate unicorns and pegasi as much as he did, an attitude that is implied to be common amongst rock farmers.
** In general, there is some serious prejudice in Equestria against meat-eaters, due eventually to the instinctive fear herbivores feel around predators, blood, and bodies. It gets to the point that the carnivores and omnivores living in Canterlot have to take enormous precautions to ensure no one can smell or see them cooking or eating meat for fear of public reprisal, and the places that sell meat-based food (no more than two stores and a single restaurant, all built where the city’s pony majority won’t have to actually see them and with enchantments to muffle scent) are so few that some people are forced to buy their food from ''pet stores''. There is a similar stigma in the Griffon Republic against herbivory, as eating plants is viewed as willingly acting like prey, and the local herbivorous minorities are viewed with a sort of condescending pity.
* ''Fanfic/UnderTheNorthernLights'': An ubiquitous theme. Ponies about reindeer, reindeer about ponies, the zebra Paki about both categories, etc. In many cases it is not just mutual prejudice, it is also relatively low-key and consists of misunderstanding and underestimating the other, rather than outright oppression. The latter happens, though. Reindeer treat the Russ (immigrant dwarf Earth ponies) and the Urox (native aurochs) as second-class citizens, and we learn that ponies used to do the same to cattle, sheep, and so on, who used to be slaves. Not everyone is racist over the board, either: the pirates of the Crimson Kraken are happily multi-cultural, but have a very negative view of "primitives" like the reindeer and the ponies from Tropical Island.
* ''Fanfic/WhatHathJoinedTogether'' sees Equestria using a FantasticCasteSystem with social standing depending on race. For the most part, it's restricted to job and marriage opportunities, and different races are still encouraged to get along, but stepping outside of your races' privilege is a faux pas at best and an actual crime at worst.
* ''Fanfic/TheWorldIsFilledWithMonsters'': There is a fair bit of prejudice going on among the pony tribes, and some of it is internalized as well -- many earth ponies, for instance, genuinely believe unicorns to be superior to themselves.
* ''Fanfic/TheYoungSix'': Sandbar's childhood friend Comet Trail has an intense hatred for the Changelings after he survived their invasion of Canterlot. As you can imagine, he did ''not'' take too kindly to the idea of Sandbar having Ocellus as his lover.

[[AC:''Literature/MyNextLifeAsAVillainessAllRoutesLeadToDoom'']]
* ''Fanfic/MariaCampbellOfTheAstralClocktower'': Undead are often looked down upon as dangerous and with the potential to go [[TheHeartless Hollow]], despite still being intelligent and reasonable (most of the time). This is especially bad because it's been scientifically proven that ''everyone'' is undead--it's just that most people haven't died yet and lack the will to get back up again once they do. The ideal to [[TheDeterminator go beyond death]] is key to the culture, but people tend to gloss over what that actually requires.

[[AC:''Franchise/{{Naruto}}'']]
* ''Fanfic/TruePotential'':
** Kiba and the rest of the Inuzuka Clan blame Iwa for the large casualties among them during the Third Shinobi World War.
** Risho and the other Kurogane hate Konoha for the same reason, [[spoiler:albeit Risho [[TookALevelInKindness learns to overcome his hatred]]]].
** Masakado strongly hates Kumo and its citizens for the downfall of Uzushio and holds a grudge towards them in present day.
** The Iwa arc shows a lot of distrust and open hostility against Konoha among Iwa's general population, although many of them reconsider after [[spoiler:witnessing Shikamaru's fight in the "Yama no Osu" against Suzumebachi]].

* ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/14149291/1/ Wayward Shark's Return]]'' has Arlong as the main character, so it includes his canon tendency to look down on humans, seeing them as inferior to fish-men like him.
* In ''[[https://archiveofourown.org/works/44374258 Blue Aurora]]'', the other reindeer are incredibly prejudiced against blue-nosed ones, seeing it as a mark of the malevolent Ice Beast [[AnimalReligion from their mythology]]. Rush Ravine gets killed in a PublicExecution, and the titular reindeer (who later becomes Tony Tony Chopper) gets exiled due to being too young for the death penalty.

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/TheOwlHouse'']]
* Nathaniel from ''Fanfic/LuzBelosPrincessOfTheBoilingIsles'' is incredibly racist against humans, the first decree he planned on enacting if he became Emperor of the Boiling Isles would be to have them banned and Luz executed despite the fact that she's his niece.

[[AC:''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'']]
* In ''Fanfic/CloudedSky'', Pokémon guides who are chosen to receive Dark-type Pokémon as their starters, such as the protagonist, are greatly discriminated against.
* In ''FanFic/PokemonMysteryDungeonPlanesofExistence'', Shiny Pokémon are discriminated against, to the point that there is even a slur against them: blinder.
* ''Fanfic/PokemonMysteryDungeonTrueColours'': Shiny Pokémon are looked down on and are usually referred to as freaks, with Pokémon who don't like them being called "chromaphobes". It's what made the Shiny Buizel Ziggy's time as a StreetUrchin much harder and even after being given a warm home, he still faces severe prejudices, even once being kicked out of a restaurant by a chromaphobic RichBitch Delcatty customer.
* The universe of ''Fanfic/PokemonResetBloodlines'' has bloodliners, essentially humans with Franchise/{{Pokemon}}-related powers, ranging from Bloodliners who can just use a specific move, Bloodliners with an affinity for particular Pokémon types (Misty=Water, Iris=Dragon, and Anabel=Psychic), to Bloodliners who are 'tuned in' to specific Pokémon (Ash, as an example, can use every move a Lucario can learn as a Lucario-type bloodliner). Considerable prejudice exists on both ends.
** A lot of normal humans hate and fear bloodliners, causing both official and unofficial discrimination against them. Moreover, the number of bloodliners has been exploding for (at the moment) unexplained reasons, causing massive hysteria.
** On the other hand, there is a powerful faction of bloodliners that believes bloodliners to be superior to both ordinary humans and Pokémon, and thus deserving to rule over both.

[[AC:''ComicBook/PowerGirl'']]
* ''Fanfic/AForceOfFour'': Mala, Kizo, and U-Ban regard non-Kryptonians as lower races to be enslaved and possibly used as breeding stock.

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/{{Rango}}'']]
* ''Fanfic/OldWest'': Many animals of the Mojave desert are wary of or even contemptuous towards snakes in general. It's somewhat understandable due to snakes being predators, but the fic presents snakes from both sides of the morality spectrum.

[[AC:RealPersonFic]]
* In ''Fanfic/WithStringsAttached'', Ketafans treat elves like second-class citizens, and Baravadans are supremely contemptuous of Ketafans, which creates friction when the Baravadan Brox and Grunnel must ally with some.
** Ironically, most Ketafans think Baravadans are the Favorites of the Gods.
** Don't forget the harveys in New Zork.
* In ''Fanfic/TheKeysStandAlone: The Soft World'', the racism of Spectrem pops up whenever he has to deal with a nonhuman race. He is highly offended when Paul and George persist in treating nonhumans decently.
** Not to mention the behavior of humans towards the Svenjaya (cat-elves derisively called "Plushies").

[[AC:''Literature/{{Redwall}}'']]
* [[{{Deconstruction}} Deconstructed]] in ''FanFic/TheUrthbloodSaga''. Most of the Redwallers and other goodbeasts are, understandably, wary of the vermin and it takes a very long time before they start to accept the vermin in Urthblood's army as equals. [[AlwaysChaoticEvil When you look at the vast amount of villains from the series]], [[JustifiedTrope they have a good reason to be cautious]].
* ''FanFic/WhatLiesBeyondTheWalls'' usually justifies this trope by exploring it from someone's point-of-view. Urthquake cannot stand vermin and believes that they all deserve to die, but only because he has only come across heartless vermin who only care about pain and destruction and have ruined his personal life and [[spoiler:killed his family]]. Kurwin the Flayer believes that all woodlanders are compelled to drive vermin to extinction, but only because he's encountered woodlanders like Urthquake, as opposed to kindbeasts who don't judge creatures by their species.

* The AU fic ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10705464/1/Day-and-Night Day and Night]]'' portrays the characters as celestial beings and alters their canonical race issues accordingly. Apparently the cloud people discriminate against the star people.
* ''Fanfic/EventHorizonRWBY'':
** The people of Atlas are rather dismissive of "Mantleborn." Ciel doesn't express any such opinions herself, but she notably doesn't even blink when her fellow soldiers do so.
** While Ciel isn't openly racist against Faunus, she does seem to ignore them as a default. It takes her a couple loops to learn Velvet's name because it simply didn't occur to her to ask, and she never suspected that Blake was a Faunus herself until it was shoved in her face.
* Present in ''Fanfic/ForgedDestiny'' in many varieties and in different degrees, though notably none involving Human-Faunus prejudice as per canon. Examples include:
** Most Castes look down on the Labour Caste, with "NPC" (Needs Protection Caste) being a commonly used derogatory term.
** Rogue types are generally seen with suspicion and disdain by almost everyone for their more underhanded methods and containing 'immoral' Classes, with Thief and Assassin receiving particular contempt.
** Inter-caste rivalries and prejudices are exceedingly common:
*** Warriors, such as Cardin, dislike Knights, such as what Jaune's disguised as, since they believe it to be a less pure version of the Warrior Class, sacrificing Strength for Charisma.
*** Mages (like Weiss initially) in particular hate Assassins since they primarily go for high-priority targets that can't fight back at close range, i.e., mages.
*** Knights tend to look down on anyone who is a member of a "dishonorable" class such as Assassins, Barbarians, and Brawlers. Jaune, being a Blacksmith in disguise, treats everyone fairly, something that comes as a shock to anyone familiar with a typical Knight.
*** It is pointed out that most Barbarians value Strength above all else and will actively attack and degrade those that they think are weaker than themselves. Nora proves to be the exception to this rule as she is best friends with Ren despite his low Strength.
* ''Webcomic/BrunswickArcTheAdelAkaRewrite'':
** Adam's hatred of humans comes from having grown up as slave labor and seeing his mother die from overwork.
** Adam's mother sees living on Brunswick Farm as better than living on her own in Mistral. Faunus in Mistral are usually very poor, have trouble getting jobs, and have to pay high, Faunus-only, taxes.

* ''Blog/AlwaysHavingJuice'' features some FantasticRacism between Overlanders and Mobians. It came to a head in [[UsefulNotes/WorldWarII Surface War II]], when the Alemanian (FantasyCounterpartCulture of Germany) war general UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler declared war against the Mobians living on the Floating Islands, almost exterminating them in the process. Oh, [[AndZoidberg and there's also some discrimination against homosexuals and Jewish people]], but that's not quite as fantastic.
* ''FanFic/DontKeepYourDistance'': The entire setup - Paint, the protagonist, endures a great deal of bullying and scorn even from adults in her home village during her childhood, revealed eventually to be because one-half of her ancestry is of the [[PlantAliens Metarex]], who tried to destroy the entire galaxy in ''Anime/SonicX'''s third season, and her history of (much more mild and unrelated) bad behavior only reminds them of that.
** More generally, there appears to be deep-seated resentment and conflict between humans and Mobians, to the point that human actors are given affirmative action preferences in films created by Mobians.

* ''Fanfic/ADashOfLogic'' depicts [[BornInTheWrongCentury Mr. Krabs]] as having a very dim view of [[TokenMinority Sandy]] purely because she’s an air-breathing mammal. At one point, he puts a “No Mammals Allowed” sign at the Krusty Krab, and at another, [[FelonyMisdemeanor he calls the cops on her for “illegally” giving [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick a facial massage]]. Sandy calls him out on his hypocrisy by citing how his own daughter (Pearl) is a mammal, but [[BoomerangBigot Krabs]] dismisses it with, “She has flippers and swims, so she’s a fish”.

[[AC:''Franchise/StarTrek'']]
* In the ''WebAnimation/StarTrekLogicalThinking'' video about the Ad Hominem fallacy, Sulu (a human) and Arex (an alien, but not a Klingon) are prejudiced against Klingons because one of them killed their friend Stevens.

[[AC:''Franchise/StarWars'']]
* ''Fanfic/BloodAndHonor'': As an alien, Vette deals with a good deal of prejudice from the various Imperials she encounters, including Quinn. Most refuse to even use her name.
* ''FanFic/StarWarsParanormalitiesTrilogy'' has several instances of this.
** The BountyHunter [[PsychoForHire Gestroma]] ''really'' hates humans to the point that he almost kills his human bounties or kidnaps them for other purposes. It's later revealed that he's been kidnapping them so he can [[BodyHorror mutate]] them into [[spoiler: Forceless-possessed]] supersoldiers for killing humans. His specism even extends to near-human species and [[HalfHumanHybrid half-humans]]. [[spoiler: His backstory reveals that he was also an alien inmate experimented on and mutated by the even more speciest Galactic Empire (a human-centric government) and forced to watch his homeworld get destroyed by the Death Star.]]
** The Kur'Ada Equalists are a faction of non-Force sensitive Miralukas (near-humans who don't have eyes and normally rely on the Force to see for them) that [[ANaziByAnyOtherName seek to purge the galaxy of Force-sensitives]]. According to their backstory, they were persecuted by the other Miralukas of Alpheridies years before the species joined the Old Republic and are products of a blood-soaked history. [[spoiler: Their leader eventually realizes the hypocrisy in their goals, as all life in the galaxy is connected to the Force and has the potential to develop an affinity for it regardless of Midichlorian count.]]
** According to Grein, the Chiss Ascendancy had this against [[spoiler: the rest of the purple-eyed Chiss in ancient times due to them naturally having a higher affinity for Force-sensitivity, to the point that they suffered ethnic cleansing and now the only known purple-eyed Chiss in the galaxy in the present day are Grein herself and her sister Emilin.]]
** [[BigBad Emperor]] [[HumanoidAbomination Valkor]] seems to hold all other sentient beings in low regard, to the point that [[ImAHumanitarian he doesn't consider eating them alive to be cannibalism]] regardless of [[DeliberateValuesDissonance what the rest of the galaxy may think]].
* ''Fanfic/SupremeChancellorObiWanKenobi'': As in canon, Count Dooku is dismissive of aliens. He ''knows'' racism is bad, but he always finds excuses for his own prejudices. Interestingly, he notes that Darth Sidious ''doesn't'' have any such reasons. He theorizes that Sidious is racist not because he needs a scapegoat or because he hates those different from him or anything logical like that, but just because he is somehow such a perfect epitome of evil that he's racist as little more than a side effect. And, of course, Sidious uses racism to his ends just like he does everything else.
* ''Fanfic/TarkinsFist'': The 1st Galactic Empire was well known for it's propagation of Human High Culture; the notion that humans are innately superior to aliens. Tarkin's Fist eschews much of the institutional prejudice against aliens, and replaces it with a contempt for the "near-humans" of Earth. The Earth, in turn, becomes increasingly xenophobic against anyone not from their planet, human or alien alike.
* ''Fanfic/WilhuffTarkinHeroOfTheRebellion'' has various examples among Imperials:
** The Pius Dea, the human supremacist cult that once ruled the Republic, is mentioned, and [[EvenEvilHasStandards even most human supremacists are appalled by them]]. [[spoiler:Tarkin covertly pointing out the Empire uses many of their methods actually starts causing numerous {{Heel Realization}}s among Imperials]].
** {{Downplayed}} with Tarkin: while he's a human supremacist he holds the law above it, and before the Clone Wars he was actually ''insulted'' at the idea he'd let slavers operate in his jurisdiction only because they target exclusively humans. He also has no problem working with aliens as long as they do their job.
** Ishin-Il-Raz and Octavian Grant are openly human supremacists, with the latter even praising the Pius Dea.
** Palpatine considers it a folly [[DivideAndConquer only good as a tool to better rule the galaxy by putting potential enemies against each other]]... Because, as far he's concerned, [[ItsAllAboutMe everyone in the galaxy is already inferior until proven otherwise]].

[[AC:''VideoGame/StarTrekOnline'']]
* ''Fanfic/LegacyOfChRihan'': Several of the Rihannsu in i'Haanikh display at least mild Romulan supremacism. D'Vex at least recognizes that it's not exactly a good attitude to have.
-->'''Morgan:''' You got a problem with Havrannsu[[labelnote:*]]Remans[[/labelnote]], D'Vex?\
'''D'Vex:''' Hrmph, I'm old-fashioned. Bloody [[FantasticSlurs goblins]] are all right but I wouldn't want my daughter to marry one.
* ''Fanfic/ShakedownShenanigans'': The old ElvesVersusDwarves rivalry between Vulcans and Andorians from ''Series/StarTrekEnterprise'' rears its head when a Vulcan customs agent decides to be {{obstructive|Bureaucrat}}.
-->'''Tess:''' Damn pointy-ear’s probably jealous we’re headed for the front lines.\
'''Eleya:''' Vulcans don’t get jealous, Tess.\
'''Tess:''' Pfft. Oh, yes, they do. [[NoodleIncident Don’t ask me how I know, though.]]
* ''Fanfic/AChangedWorld'' has traditional racism, albeit between different kinds of Bajorans. By the traditional Bajoran caste system, Eleya and her family are ''Ke'lora'', the tradesmen, laborers, and lawmen. Shad Yima's crew are ''Va'telo'' (spacers, pilots, and sailors), higher-caste than Eleya, and Shad criticizes Eleya for working above her station. Gaarra, Eleya's significant other, is higher still at ''Mi'tino'' (merchants and landowners), and offscreen Shad's XO apparently made some derogatory remarks about their inter-caste relationship. Shad also throws a Bajoran-on-Bajoran racial slur of some kind at Eleya, "Kendra ''shak'tet''". [[spoiler:Eleya later realizes she's racist against Klingons.]]

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'']]
* In ''FanFic/FadedBlue'', Steven was raised by Blue Pearl, who taught him that Fusion is meant only for fighting, and that hybrid Fusion is wrong.

[[AC:''Series/Supergirl2015'']]
* ''Fanfic/{{Survivors}}'':
** Hank Henshaw hates aliens. He leads a group that goes about finding and disposing of them. At the beginning of the story [[ComicBook/{{Supergirl}} Kara]] and [[Franchise/{{Superman}} Kal]] missed them by a hair.
** Kara herself hates the Vrangs, an alien race who once upon a time conquered Krypton and enslaved all Kryptonians.

[[AC:''Franchise/{{Superman}}'']]
* ''Fanfic/SupermanAndMan'': ComicBook/LexLuthor's racism pops up when he appears to be winning against Superman and feels thrilled with the thought of proving an Earthman is more powerful than an alien.
-->This was how it was meant to be. In final conflict, on the skies Superman claimed. The Man of Steel versus the Man of Mind. Earthman versus Kryptonian. Absurdly, Luthor felt a thrill of patriotism. Despite all the natural power of a man from a giant red-sun world, given the intelligence, a mere mortal Terran could bring him down.
* In the ''Film/ManOfSteel'' fanfic ''Fanfic/DaughterOfFireAndSteel'', Kara was mistakenly given genetic elements of all castes in Kryptonian society. Because of this, she was frequently seen as an abomination and was beaten and belittled during her time at the military academy.

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/SuperRobotMonkeyTeamHyperForceGo'']]
* The plot of ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11069664/1/The-Truth-of-Fatherhood The Truth of Fatherhood]]'' is set in motion when a man claiming to be Chiro's biological father returns and demands his son come with him. When he is denied, Chiro's father sues the Hyper Force for custody. A major problem is that while the Hyper Force are technically Chiro's legal guardians due to housing him in a non-abusive family for more than two years (as per Shuggazoom City law), some refuse to see it that way due to them not being human. [[spoiler:The Hyper Force manages to win the case, only to find out that the whole thing was a distraction by Mandarin to enact his real plan of turning Chiro into a monster]].

[[AC:''Literature/SwordArtOnline'']]
* PlayedForLaughs in ''WebVideo/SwordArtOnlineAbridged'''s second season. In this treatment, ''Alfheim Online'' was an obscure and unsuccessful kids' EdutainmentGame until a group of older [[TheRoleplayer roleplayers]] [[PeripheryDemographic took it over]] and used its nine playable races as the basis for their "race war" campaign. So the Salamander players look down on the Sylphs, the Sylphs treat the Cait Sith as pets, and ''everyone'' belittles the "filthy Spriggans."

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003'']]
* ''FanFic/JewelOfDarkness'': This goes both ways between Metas (and other non-humans) and regular humans, complete with a CycleOfRevenge between paramilitary groups on both sides. Tensions have gotten so bad that various factions have all independently reached the conclusion that it's going to end up leading to WorldWarIII.
* ''Fanfic/ChangingLucky'': Jinx was born with unusual eyes, pink hair, and sickly grey skin. This led to ostracism growing up. She liked H.I.V.E. Academy because the other students didn't judge her features.

[[AC:''Franchise/{{Transformers}}'']]
* A recurring theme in ''Fanfic/AChildShallLeadThemTransformers'' -- the Autobots regard the Dinobots as stupid, violent, and animalistic, and treat them as such. This is especially problematic given that one of them (Swoop aka Pterodactus) has ended up with the Matrix after Optimus Prime's death... Pterodactus ends up calling the Autobots out on it, delivering a blistering WhatTheHellHero speech that shames them into accepting him as their leader.

[[AC:''Film/{{Tron}}'']]
* ''Fanfic/ThroughADiamondSky'' plays with the tension between Programs and Isos. Programs see Isos as having no purpose or function, taking up valuable resources and contributing nothing back. Isos see Programs as inherently hostile and constrained by their hard-coded directives.
--> '''Flynn:''' ''"For a world of ones and zeroes, it annoys the hell out of me how much User-style problems you've picked up...First time I was here, it was persecution based on belief...now this place gets racism, too...You'd think there'd be a way to code out that crap."''

[[AC: ''WesternAnimation/TurningRed'']]
* In ''Fanfic/TurningRedSecretsOfThePanda'', Jason Vaugn has a deep hatred for the giant red pandas, referring to them as "freaks".

[[AC:''Literature/TheTwilightSaga'']]
* In ''Fanfic/StrangeScales'', mermaid hunter Balthazar is so fanatical about his vendetta against mermaids that he tried to destroy a colony of mermaids even when [[spoiler:his own son]] vouched for the fact that this particular colony didn’t kill people.

[[AC:''TabletopGame/Warhammer40000'']]
* ZigZagged in the ''Fanfic/AllGuardsmenParty''. This being 40k, hating the Xeno is normal for everyone, but the exceptional circumstances of Inquisitional work lead to the party having much more interaction with aliens than they would otherwise tolerate. The entirety of The Greater Good takes place in an Imperium-Tau neutral zone and causes the party to nearly go on shooting sprees against the mixed population several times. In The Xenotech Heresy, the party is [[spoiler:forced into a fragile alliance with an Eldar and actually go out of their way to save an Earth Caste Tau who had been forced into the whole debacle.]] There's also a decent amount of this between the Mechanicus and the baseline crew of the Occurrence Border.

[[AC:''Literature/WhateleyUniverse'']]
* ''Fanfic/{{Evershade}}'': In ''Reforming'', because the antagonists decide to mix some mutophobia in with their homophobia pretty much from the start.

[[AC:''Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit'']]
* On top of the human-on-toon racism, ''Fanfic/TheMerryGoRoundBrokeDown'' introduces racism between computer-generated digis and traditionally animated toons. Many toons scorn digis for stealing their spotlight, while many digis see toons as relics.

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/{{WITCH}}'']]
* ''Fanfic/{{Ripples}}'' has multiple examples:
** [[VoluntaryShapeshifting Changelings]] are viewed as abominations by the rest of Meridian, driven to the edges of society and forced to on the scraps they can hunt and scrape together.
** [[OurOrcsAreDifferent Lurdens]] are also looked down on. Their species' name is at least once used to name-call someone else in an insulting manner.
** Will, having been [[ForcedTransformation transformed into a frog-like being]] faces this, even more so after her second transformation makes those traits dominant.
** Doctors are viewed as heretics by many like [[TheFundamentalist Allora]] and more closed-minded church members since they heal others without using magic.

[[AC:''Franchise/TheWitcher'']]
* ''Fanfic/TheAccidentalWarlordAndHisPack'': Aridea of Creyden despises non-humans, and despite the steep consequences for nobility treating them as less than human in the Warlord's lands she initiated prejudicial policies against dwarves and calls them "greedy little moles" when questioned.

[[AC:''WesternAnimation/{{Zootopia}}'']]
* ''FanFic/PackStreet'' plays with the canonical tension between predators and prey by being about a ram's experiences after he moves to the titular location, a working-class neighborhood where only predators live and work. It also goes into detail about how some individual species are discriminated by their old habits, how the main characters' experiences accentuate or alleviate the sentiments, and later on, [[spoiler:the predictable demonization of sheep after Bellwether's plan is blown wide open]].
