In addition we are given a rare glimpse Barry's bond with Irey and Iris's bond with Jai something not really seen in canon.

For those who have, this is acts as a sequel to Wally's return, focusing on Barry's anguish at nearly losing his beloved nephew and first sidekick. The relationship between the two speedsters is beautifully written, and Barry's anguish is written realistically without coming off as {{Wangst}}.
