Having fled Manehattan after first saving the city and then wrecking Bottom Billing's office, the Great and Powerful Trixie attempts to make her way alone on the open road. But bad fortune, old enemies and her own unique personality create difficulties for her. Can she succeed in her quest for solitary greatness?

9	* AmplifierArtifact: The Alicorn Amulet, which magnifies the magic of the wearer.
10	* ApocalypseCult: The Shadow Covens. Their purpose is to summon the Shadows to Earth, which they believe will result in them being granted great power. They are [[spoiler:sort of right; the Shadows will [[DemonicPossession possess]] them and the hosts will be among the last survivors of Earthlife as the Shadows spill out across our Cosmos]].
11	* ArentYouGoingToRavishMe: Trixie eats at a workingpony's diner and imagines that the regulars will make an attempt on her "[[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin nearly spotless virtue]]." When they instead ''ignore'' her and eat their meals, she's miffed.
12	* ArtifactOfDoom: The Alicorn Amulet will corrupt whoever wears it to evil [[spoiler:and bring back Imperator Sombros]]. Corrupting [[spoiler:Trixie, the Element of Illusion]] would constitute a major victory for the Shadows, and [[spoiler:she]] is powerful enough to [[spoiler:house Sombra's soul]]. [[spoiler:Trixie]] of course wants neither fate, but has no idea of the true nature of the Amulet.
13	* CuteAndPsycho: Trixie is definitely attractive, and she has a fairly low threshold for minor violence, when something sets off her HairTriggerTemper. Fortunately both for herself and others, she has an explicit [[ThouShaltNotKill Code Against Killing]], and is good enough that she generally tries to avoid any action which would ''seriously'' harm anypony. However, as the Ponies are less violent than Humans, Trixie's tantrums lead others to perceive her as a dangerous madmare.
14	* DreamSue: Trixie imagines herself to be the impossibly-perfect heroine of a never-ending high-fantasy adventure. The fact that she ''really is'' the [[PhysicalGoddess Avatar]] of a [[PowersThatBe Cosmic Concept]], and that this ''really does'' result in her being followed by the Night Watch (who want to talk to her) and ''hunted'' by the Manehattan Nightstallion only makes this worse. Hilariously, Trixie is mostly oblivious to both her true nature and to all the ''real'' intrigue and danger around her.
15	* EmbodimentOfVice: The Great and Powerful Trixie is dominated by her pride, and often has trouble controlling her wrath as well.
16	* ForegoneConclusion: Trixie is ''not'' going to achieve the amazing success for which she hopes. She is going to wind up with her wagon and career both smashed, running off half-mad with humiliation afterward.
17	* HairTriggerTemper: Trixie's is usually triggered by perceived disrespect toward herself, particularly regarding her personal class and talent.
18	* IneffectualLoner: Despite her undeniable thaumic power and great skills as a stage illusionist, Trixie repeatedly fails -- because she does not work well with others.

23	* SelectiveObliviousness: Trixie does not really grasp why a lot of Ponies dislike her, which leads her to repeat the behaviors that earn her this opprobrium.
24	* SoulJar: The [[spoiler:Alicorn Amulet]] contains a copy of the soul of [[spoiler:King Sombra]] and will both corrupt the wearer to evil and slowly overwrite her personality with [[spoiler:Sombra's]] own.
25	* StupidSexyFriend: Trixie consciously claims to only want to renew her friendship with Piercing Gaze, but most of the time she speculates about seeing him again, she has at least mildly sexual thoughts.
