''Code Jedi'' is a crossover fic between ''Anime/CodeGeass'' and ''Franchise/StarWars'', written by [[https://www.fanfiction.net/u/14269379/DarkerEvening DarkerEvening]] on Website/FanFictionDotNet.

''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13936653/1/Code-Jedi-R1-Lelouch-of-the-Rebel-Alliance Code Jedi - R1: Lelouch of the Rebel Alliance]]'': "Luke Skywalker and his friends find themselves on a world ruled by the ruthless Britannian Empire. Soon, they cross paths with an exiled prince, who comes to wield a mysterious power. Two rebellions will unite as one in a fight for freedom against Britannia and the Galactic Empire. But when Darth Vader arrives... Hell is sure to follow."

!!This work contains examples of:
* AdaptationalBadass: [[WordOfGod The author]] has confirmed that Lelouch will become a much, ''much'', better fighter and Knightmare pilot later on in the story.
* AdaptationExpansion: [[WordOfGod The author]] has confirmed they will be incorporating characters from both sides of the crossover (the Clone Wars, Rebels, Bad Batch, Resistance, The Mandalorian, Sequel Trilogy on the Star Wars side, OZ of the Reflection and Akito the Exiled on the Code Geass side).
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: Quite a few ''Code Geass'' characters make their debut in this fic earlier than in canon.
** The Knights of the Round appear after the Shinjuku Massacre. Bismarck, Nonette, Olivia Zevon, and Dorothea first appear with Michele Manfredi in the flashback showing Lelouch's exile. Clovis' funeral later sees Luciano, Gino, Anya, and Monica appear as well.
** In canon, the Glinda Knights weren't formed until after the Black Rebellion. Here they appear in Chapter 10, not long after Darth Vader makes contact with the Britannia Empire.
** Marika Soresi and Liliana Vergamon, both of Luciano's Valkyrie Squadron in canon, are part of Cornelia's forces in this fic, appearing during the formation of Area 18. This aligns with the ''Code Geass'' light novels, as they served under her before they were transferred to the Valkyrie Squadron.
** The scientists of the [[Anime/CodeGeassAkitoTheExiled wZERO, most notably Anna Clément]], and Zhou Xianglin both appear in Chapter 9, being among the first to notice the ''Devastator'' entering the atmosphere above Area 11, months before their canonical debuts.
** Schneizel, Guinevere, Odysseus, and Carine show up when Darth Vader arrives at Pendragon.
** Duke Calares and Alicia Lohmeyer, characters from the second season of ''Code Geass'', are part of Charles' entourage to Coruscant.
** On the Star Wars side, Emperor Palpatine makes his first in-person appearance a whole movie before we saw him in the flesh when Charles and his entourage visit Coruscant.
* AliensLoveHumanFood: When the crew of the ''Millennium Falcon'' try pizza for the first time, they of course found it to be delicious. Chewbacca in particular develops an obsession with the dish that rivals C.C.'s.
* AliensSpeakingEnglish: For some reason, despite the crew of the Millennium Falcon being from a different galaxy, they can communicate just fine with Lelouch and everyone else. [[spoiler:Seeing that Charles and ''[[FirstNameBasis Sheev]]'' are seemingly old acquaintances, maybe Earth and the distant galaxy are more culturally attuned than one might think...]]
* TheAlliance: A twofer -- the Black Knights become part of the Rebel Alliance while the Galactic Empire and the Holy Britannian Empire form an imperial alliance.
* BerserkButton: The name 'Clovis' is this to Vader, to the point that he tenses in anger upon hearing Prince Clovis' name, as it reminds him of Rush Clovis, even though the latter is long dead. Though really anything that remind Vader of his past will incite [[TranquilFury a storm of fury inside the dark lord.]]
* BigNo: Kallen, Tamaki and Ohgi all let out one when they see [[spoiler:Yoshida's death at Vader's hands during the Narita battle.]]
* BittersweetEnding: The ending of the battle at Narita is this.
** The Bitter: [[spoiler:Tohdoh ends up being captured by Imperial Forces when buying time for the Four Holy Swords and Han to escape. Yoshida is killed by Darth Vader and the Gekka Pre-Production Model, along with Tohdoh's Burai Kai, falls into the possession of Britannia and the Empire. And the scientists of Code-R are captured by Gideon, leading to Vader learning about Clovis' project.]]
** The Sweet: [[spoiler:Despite Tohdoh's capture a majority of the Japan Liberation Front manage to escape, the Black Knights acquire the Lancelot Club after C.C. incapacitates Vader and the rest of the major members of the Black Knights and Rebellion escape. And thanks to Rai's intervention, Shirley's father Joseph manages to avoid his death.]]
* BreatherEpisode: ''Tea and Moonglow'' takes a notable beat from the Imperial-Rebel conflict.
* CallBack:
** The first chapter has one to the very first scene in ''Film/ANewHope'' with the Millennium Falcon being chased by a Star Destroyer.
** When Cornelia doubts the power of the Force, Darth Vader's response is to begin choking her and says:
--->'''Darth Vader''': I find your lack of faith disturbing.
* CanonImmigrant:
** Ciena Rhee, Nash Windrider, Berisse Sai, and Captain Ronnadam from ''Literature/StarWarsLostStars'' all appear in the first chapter.
** Ochō from the "Lop and Ochō" episode of ''Anime/StarWarsVisions'' is among the Imperials stationed in Britania's capital.
* CommonalityConnection: C.C. and Chewie quickly bond over their love of pizza.
* ContinuityNod:
** Han's face-off with a corrupt Britannian Police Officer is similar to his encounter with Greedo in ''Film/ANewHope'', many Black Knights even wonder who shot first.
** When several Black Knights ask what advantage they have over Britannia at Narita, this is Luke's response:
---> '''Luke''': We have the high ground.
* CurbStompBattle: The minute Darth Vader steps out of his Knightmare at Narita is when things turn ugly for the Black Knights, easily swatting bullets away with the Force, cutting through Slash Harkens, tossing Knightmares around like rag dolls, crushing the Guren's Radiant Wave Surger, and [[spoiler:bisecting Yoshida]].
* DeathByAdaptation: [[spoiler:Toru Yoshida is killed at the Battle of Narita when he was killed later in canon during the Black Rebellion.]]
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation:
** Clovis is still killed by Lelouch, but the latter stabs him with Luke's lightsaber instead of shooting him in the head.
** [[spoiler:Toru Yoshida, who was killed in canon when Suzaku destroyed his Raiko, is sliced in half by Darth Vader.]]
** [[spoiler:Mao was killed in canon when C.C. shot him in the neck with a silencer. Here, he dies from extreme blood loss after Chewbacca rips off his arms.]]
* TheDreaded:
** Darth Vader. To all the Rebels from the Star Wars Galaxy. By ''The Battle of Narita'' the Rebels on Earth now have great reason to fear Vader, after witnessing him toy with the Black Knights and [[spoiler:kill Yoshida]]. Especially Lelouch as he had experienced a terrifying vision of him long before he even knew his name.
** Emperor Palpatine is also this to Lelouch. Despite not meeting the man himself, after seeing a silhouette of him and hearing his evil laughter echoing in a vision, Lelouch is visibly terrified whenever he hears the laughter, even greatly uncomfortable thinking back on it.
* EqualOpportunityEvil: The Galactic Empire is this, which is made all the more apparent with their alliance with the Holy Britannian Empire. Although the human officers tend to receive favoritism, nonhumans were still overall accepted and provided equal opportunities to prove themselves and rise in the ranks. So far, most Britannian officials have reacted to the diverse alien species from the far, far away galaxy with conservation or revulsion.
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** Nonette Enneagram and Michele Manfredi were completely shocked by Charles renouncing Lelouch and Nunnally as his children and exiling them to Japan. Manfredi even attempts to speak up in Lelouch's defense but to no avail.
** Even Cornelia couldn't help but look in complete shock at the destruction and carnage Vader leaves in his wake at Narita, especially with how he [[spoiler:kills Yoshida.]]
* FantasticRacism: Britannia's racism to all other races and nationalities is both government and socially sanctioned. Even the mostly human-ran Galactic Empire is not spared their bigotry, and to say nothing about any of the various alien species native to their galaxy that they come to meet.
* {{Foil}}:
** Lelouch/Zero and Anakin/Vader: Similarly, they both dress in black with a cape and mask, prefer to [[FrontlineGeneral lead their forces in battle themselves]], have a mother they both loved deeply who died which is a catalyst for their darkest thoughts, and have a best friend on the opposite side of the war. As for differences, Vader is an [[OneManArmy unstoppable monster]] and [[AcePilot incredible pilot]] while Lelouch is [[NonActionGuy physically weak and a mediocre Knightmare pilot]] (for now anyway), Vader wears his suit and mask primarily because he needs them to survive while Lelouch wears his mask to hide his identity to protect his sister and be a symbol of hope to other rebels. Anakin was born a slave who eventually became a Jedi while Lelouch was a prince who was then exiled (coincidently this major change in their lives happened to both of them when they were the same age). Also, despite having great darkness in him, Lelouch still has something, or [[MoralityChain someone, keeping his darkness from completely overcoming him: his sister Nunnally]]. In contrast, Vader has no one who can keep his darker impulses in check, rather he has those like Palpatine who encourage his cruel actions.
** Lelouch and Luke: Similarly, the two are rebel commanders. They both have [[ArchnemesisDad fathers who they loathe and wish to destroy]] (though in Luke's case he doesn't know yet). Have supernatural powers and had romantic feelings for their sister at one point in their lives (though Luke didn't know Leia was his sister when he did have a crush on her, and it was Lelouch's half-sister Euphemia whom he had a crush on). Both are also a part of a royal lineage (Luke's mother had given up the throne long before he was born, though he is still technically part of the Alderaan royal family through his sister Leia). As for differences, Luke is an [[AcePilot Ace Pilot]] and capable warrior and leaves the planning to more capable people, whereas Lelouch is a [[TheStrategist tactical genius]] and [[NonActionGuy physically weak]]. Luke embodies [[LightisGood Light is Good]] while Lelouch is [[DarkisnotEvil Dark is not Evil]]. Luke grew up alone on Tatooine, while Lelouch always had his sister by his side. Luke is a genuinely [[TheHero heroic individual]] while Lelouch is more of an AntiHero.
** Suzaku and Luke: Both of them are [[AcePilot skilled Knightmare pilots]] combat despite [[FallingintotheCockpit only being selected due to exigent circumstances and lacking in any formal training.]] Both are also [[LightisGood noble and honorable individuals with light-colored motifs,]] are frontline fighters who would prefer more peaceful options, have a tragic backstory involving a dead parental figure(s), and desire to bring down a dark, masked figure who leads an enemy army who is secretly a loved one. However, Luke is a [[YourTerroristsareourFreedomFighters freedom]] [[LaResistance fighter]] who realizes that sometimes, [[ViolenceistheOnlyOption Violence is the Only Solution]], and opposes the [[TheEmpire Galactic Empire]] [[BigBadDuumvirate and Britannia]] because they are both oppressive entities that cannot be compromised or negotiated with, and will continue with their cruelty until someone stops them. Suzaku [[LesCollaborateurs willingly works for Britannia,]] opposes all rebellion because he believes all violence is meaningless, and that change should only be pursued by [[InternalReformist working within the system]], [[HonorBeforeReason regardless of the circumstances]]. Luke believes Vader [[YouKilledMyFather killed his father Anakin]] and knows he's responsible for his Aunt and Uncle's deaths and seeks to avenge them and [[DramaticIrony honor the former's legacy]]. Suzaku [[spoiler:[[SelfMadeOrphan killed his own father to prevent Japan from fighting to the death in an unwinnable war]] and serves in the Britannian military in the hopes of [[TheAtoner redeeming himself]] by either [[InternalReformist changing the system for the better]] or [[DeathSeeker dying honorably in the process.]]]]
** Suzaku and Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. Both are KnightTemplar [[TheAce ace fighters]] in and out of Knightmares who serve [[TheEmpire an oppressive totalitarian regime]], having [[FallingintotheCockpit excelled since day one without any training,]] and seek to put down rebellions against their faction. For that reason both are obsessed with capturing Zero and Luke Skywalker. Both come from a lowly background as part of an oppressed minority before rising through the ranks of their respective faction. Both are also broken people with [[DarkAndTroubledPast a tragic history]] and have difficulty accepting [[NeverMyFault when they're wrong]]. [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Also]], both of them have a particular penchant for [[SpectacularSpinning spinning]] in combat. Despite their similarities, Suzaku recognizes that Britannia is severely flawed and [[InternalReformist seeks to change the system from within]] to help his people, while Vader is a HopeCrusher who had a direct hand in shaping the system of the Galactic Empire and has little - if any - desire to change it. Suzaku is [[TheAtoner an Atoner]] with [[DeathSeeker death seeker tendencies]] who seeks to make up for his past actions in some way, while Vader's doubled down on his devotion to the Dark Side out of stubbornness and self-pity. Suzaku is reluctant to [[ThouShaltNotKill kill even enemy combatants on the battlefield]], while Vader has killed [[WouldHurtaChild defenseless children]] to achieve his ends. Suzaku came from a prominent political family before being reduced to an Eleven, while Anakin was born into slavery who rose to become the Emperor's right-hand. Suzaku wishes to capture Zero and Luke because he [[YourTerroristsareourFreedomFighters considers them terrorists]] whose actions will do more harm than good, while Vader wants to force them to join the Dark Side. Finally, while Suzaku still has friends and loved ones who [[MoralityChain keep him grounded to some degree]], Vader has pushed away everyone who ever cared about him, in favor of continuing to serve and [[ToxicFriendInfluence be manipulated by]] [[EvilOverlord Palpatine.]]
** [[ArchnemesisDad Charles zi Britannia]] and [[EvilOverlord Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious]]. Both are [[VillainwithGoodPublicity charismatic]] [[TheEmperor absolute rulers]] of [[TheEmpire tyrannical militarized authoritarian regimes]] out to [[GalacticConqueror conquer]] the [[TakeOvertheWorld known world]] and who use [[FantasticRacism state-sponsored bigotry]] to [[PragmaticVillainy maintain control.]] Both are secretly the leaders of [[ReligionofEvil religious orders]] that [[ReligionisMagic utilize supernatural abilities.]] Both also secretly do not believe in their own rhetoric, in particular regarding their discriminatory policies and simply use it to advance other goals. However, Charles puts on a mask of being a Social Darwinist and secretly wants to [[AssimilationPlot make everyone equal.]] While [[BitchinSheepsClothing Palpatine]] puts on a ruse of being a loving ruler while actually holding his subjects in contempt, viewing himself as [[AGodAmI a god among insects]] and seeking to make it [[ImmortalitySeeker a tangible fact.]] Charles actually loves his family in his own twisted way, while [[TheSociopath Palpatine]] [[SelfMadeOrphan murdered his own family]] and only pretends to love others to [[ManipulativeBastard manipulate them.]] Furthermore, while Charles is ultimately pursuing a goal [[UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans he believes will overall benefit the world,]] Palpatine is a [[{{Sadist}} sadistic]] [[CardCarryingVillain megalomaniac]] who seeks only to [[DespotismJustifiesTheMeans make himself more powerful]] and [[DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans actively, even enthusiastically harms others to achieve it.]] Finally, Charles is physically imposing and dressed in fine, aristocratic clothing but his sole supernatural ability is currently limited to only being able to alter memories, while Palpatine is seemingly decrepit and dressed in a simple black robe but he has mastered the Force in nearly all its aspects.
** Suzaku and [[Literature/StarWarsLostStars Ciena Ree]]. Both are [[AcePilot ace pilots]] in service to an authoritarian Empire. Both come from a lowly background within said Empire, and canonically [[UndyingLoyalty remain loyal]] to them [[MyCountryRightorWrong despite each being part of groups that their respective nation has deliberately harmed]]. Both view the conflict in [[BlackandWhiteMorality black and white]], and [[InsaneTrollLogic delude themselves]] to [[IRejectYourReality maintain this view in spite of the atrocities their side frequently commits]]. Both do [[BrokenPedestal eventually become disillusioned]] in canon but continue to serve their respective empires anyway. Both constantly try to see the best in their superiors [[HorribleJudgeofCharacter despite hard evidence to the contrary]]. Both also have a loved one on the opposite side whom they are currently unaware of. However, Suzaku is a mech pilot while Ciena is a fighter pilot. Suzaku is discriminated against based on his race by Britannia, while Ciena's people were subject to more localized prejudice. Suzaku joined Britannia to [[InternalReformist try and change them for the better]], while Ciena simply wanted to become a career pilot. Suzaku was already aware of Britannia's flaws - [[InherentintheSystem albeit not the extent of them]] - while Ciena had an [[WideEyedIdealist idealized view of the Galactic Empire initially]] and only became aware of how evil it was much later. Suzaku remains loyal to Britannia despite its crimes because of his [[TheAtoner desire for redemption]], and remains in denial because admitting he chose the wrong side would [[SunkCostFallacy make all his efforts thus far meaningless]]. Ciena's [[CultureJustifiesEverything cultural background]], with its mandate on [[IGaveMyWord honoring one's oaths]] of loyalty above all, makes it so she is incapable of defecting or even deserting from the Empire, and [[MyMasterRightorWrong must serve them loyally until death]] even after [[BrokenPedestal completely losing faith in it]].
** Ciena Ree and Euphemia. Both are [[TokenGoodTeammate idealistic and benevolent affiliates]] of the Britannian/Imperial side who become close to Suzaku. Both of them offer a more positive impression of their respective factions that raises Suzaku's hopes that his reform efforts are not in vain. However, Euphy is a princess while Ciena is a commoner. Euphy isn't a fighter and stays far behind the lines when she is present during battles, while Ciena is a pilot on the front lines. Euphy's relationship with Suzaku is a budding romance while him and Ciena are more platonic or even sibling-like. Furthermore, Euphy's influence on Suzaku encourages his best qualities and helps steer him away from Vader's influence, while Ciena inadvertently pushes Suzaku's worst habit by feeding into his black and white worldview.
** Leia Organa and Cornelia li Britannia: Both are Princesses who lead their armies personally on the field. As for differences, Leia was HappilyAdopted into royalty while Cornelia was born into an [[BigScrewedUpFamily cutthroat family]], with few people she could trust. Cornelia is an AcePilot while Leia prefers to fight on the ground. Leia is a part of the Rebellion while Cornelia serves the Empire.
* FoodFight: One occurs in ''Tea and Moonglow'' between the stormtroopers and the Britannian infantrymen.
* ForWantOfANail: Due to the presence of the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance, certain events in ''Code Geass'' canon happen differently.
** [[spoiler:Instead of dying during the Battle of Narita, Shirley's father is saved by what is implied to be Rai and reunites with his family. Because of this Shirley isn't present at the following battle and learns that Lelouch is Zero. Instead, Kallen is the one who discovers it.]]
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: [[spoiler:Yoshida is bisected by Darth Vader's lightsaber at the Battle of Narita.]]
* HumanAliens: This becomes a particular problem with the Britannians -- Galactic Imperials like Ocho and CT-412 are mistaken for Japanese/Elevens due to their virtually indistinguishable physical appearance from an Earthling of East Asian descent and are condemned and ridiculed by Britannians for it.
* ALighterShadeOfBlack: Despite being literally astronomically more powerful and expansive than the Holy Britannian Empire, the Galactic Empire is overall more progressive and tolerant as a system. Even though the Galactic Empire tended to favor the humans in their ranks, they are more than willing to commend and reward their alien/nonhuman officers if they demonstrate competency and true loyalty to the Empire, unlike Britannia that are discriminatory towards any and all non-Britannians (even towards those they grant as "Honorary Britannians"). Many Britannian officers and higher-ups tend to put their pride and pedigree above the objective of their mission (like Cornelia), whereas the Galactic Imperials tend to be more pragmatic and focused on efficiently serving the emperor (or at least, Darth Vader makes damn sure they do). Britannia propagandizes themselves as just and holy and oppress non-Britannians out of imagined privilege of being the MasterRace, while the Galactic Imperials (for the most part) do genuinely believe their regime is what keeps order and stability in the galaxy.
* MythologyGag:
** Han gives Kallen a blaster and the following exchange is like with him and Rey.
---> '''Han''': You know how to use it?\
'''Kallen''': Yeah, it's like the other blasters I used. You aim and pull the trigger.\
'''Han''': You make sure the safety's off, first.
** Darth Vader has the same opinion of Cornelia as he does of Admiral Ozzel: clumsy and stupid.
** Darth Vader blocking the bullets of Knightmares is similar to Obi-Wan blocking bullets from the Bounty Hunter in the old 2D Clone Wars cartoon.
** The scene where Darth Vader corners Zero at Narita is similar to how Kylo Ren first encounters Rey.
** Lelouch's dream in ''Mao's Game'' ends with Obi-Wan saying the same words he said to Rey in the Force Awakens.
---> '''Obi-Wan:''' Lelouch... these are but your first steps...
* NothingIsTheSameAnymore: The ''Code Geass'' side of things gets completely shaken up in Chapter 10 when Charles announces that Britannia will be joining forces with the Galactic Empire on live television during Clovis' funeral.
* OffingTheMouth: A barely nonlethal example. Despite Cornelia witnessing repeated demonstrations of Force powers by both Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, [[SelectiveObliviousness she dismisses the existence of such supernatural sorcery.]] In one particular instance in ''Messenger From Kyoto'', Cornelia makes the same mistake as Admiral Motti in mocking the Force, denouncing it nothing but a fantasy and an intimidation tactic. [[BullyingADragon All to Lord Vader's (figurative) face.]] And again like with Motti, Vader [[InstantlyProvenWrong uses said power]] to shut her up. '''''[[PsychicStrangle Hard.]]''''' Fortunately, Charles Zi Britannia intervenes via comlink and orders Vader to release his daughter.
* RobotBuddy: Though he is still steadfastly loyal to Luke, Leia, and Han, C-3PO also develops a particular deference to Lelouch and later his sister Nunnally. This is likely due to how the Lamperouge sibling's civilian occupations as students gives Threepio the opportunity to contentedly carry out his primary directive as a protocol droid (read: butler) without the uncertainty of being blasted in a rebel-imperial skirmish (even though he still experiences plenty of misfortunes while at Ashford Academy).
* ShadowArchetype: Darth Vader is one to Lelouch/Zero. Both are leaders with a BlackKnight aesthetic and possess supernatural powers, but Zero is purely a [[TheStrategist strategist]] with average-to-poor fighting capabilities (on foot or in a Knightmare), whereas Vader is both a mighty warrior and pilot and a military genius. Zero has flair for the theatrics and [[HopeBringer setting up spectacles meant to inspire hope in the powerless]], while Darth Vader is deathly pragmatic [[HopeCrusher in his mission of utterly quenching any and all forms of resistance and insurrection.]] Finally, both have/had a MoralityPet that they would go to the extremes to save; Lelouch embarks on his rebellion in hopes of creating a world where his sister Nunnally can live happily, while Anakin Skywalker had sacrificed everything he knew and had to stop his wife from dying (but would ultimately fail to prevent).
* ShoutOut:
** Lelouch name-drops Superman when coming up with costume ideas.
** In ''Mao's Game'' Han wears a disguise similar to Indiana Jones, hat and all, which was another iconic role played by Harrison Ford.
** Tamaki nicknames [[spoiler:Omega]] Katniss from the Hunger Games.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: [[spoiler:Joseph Fenette survives the Battle of Narita thanks to Rai pulling him out of his wrecked truck, and a scout trooper later finding him.]]
* SpectacularSpinning: Doubly so when you have both Anakin [[Memes/ThePhantomMenace "Spinning is a good trick!"]] Skywalker and [[FanNickname "Spinzaku"]] together in the same story. Suzaku even mentally lampshades it during his first mission with Vader at the Lake Kawaguchi Hotel Jacking after watching him perform multiple barrel rolls to evade the Raiko shots.
* SureLetsGoWithThat: In Chapter 20, when Suzaku asks if [[spoiler:C-3PO is the reason Lelouch and Kallen have been skipping classes, they quickly go along with it.]]
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Slightly one-sided with the Britannians; many of them are disgusted with having to ally with "aliens" that were clearly more numerous and technologically-advanced then they are. The Galactic Imperials are mostly dismissive of the Britannians for their pedigree and their discrimination of non-Britannian natives.
* ThisCannotBe: A little bit on the humorous side, but this is pretty much the reaction of everyone aboard the Millennium Falcon when they witness that Lelouch is winning against Chewbacca in dejarik, despite only learning the game for a ''few days''.
* TraumaButton: Vader quickly becomes this for Lelouch. Every time he sees the Dark Lord, Lelouch freezes in terror. [[TheDreaded For]] ''[[TheDreaded GOOD]]'' [[TheDreaded reason]].
* VillainTakesAnInterest:
** After he makes his debut alongside his son, Darth Vader takes an interest in Zero, as much as he does Luke, curious as to why Luke would work with a masked individual. Emperor Palpatine also takes an interest in the masked rebel calling him a ''disturbance in the Force''. Palpatine even tasks Vader with capturing Zero along with Skywalker and bringing them before him.
** After the Battle of Narita and his encounter with C.C., Vader also begins to take an interest in the green-haired witch, seeing as she is immortal, which is something he and his Master have sought after for a long time.
** Suzaku's idealism and natural fighting prowess reminds Vader of a similarly-minded Jedi Knight he "destroyed" many years before and gradually starts taking Suzaku under his wing.
* VillainTeamUp: Sharing a common enemy in the Rebel Alliance, Britannia and the Galactic Empire ally with one another, effectively forming their own [[EvilCounterpart Imperial Alliance]].
* WhamEpisode:
** ''Messenger from Kyoto'': [[spoiler:Darth Vader learns about Code-R and C.C.'s immortality from the scientists captured by Gideon at Narita and decides to keep this secret from Palpatine, Pryde, and Gideon swearing secrecy as well. A weary Rai shows up before the Rebels after it was revealed he saved Joseph Fenette at Narita. And at the end Vader has a nightmare...the same nightmare Nunnally ends up having at the same time.]]
** ''Skirmish at the Docks'': [[spoiler:At the end of the chapter, Kallen discovers that Zero is Lelouch.]]
** ''Mao's Game'': [[spoiler:Lelouch is contacted by Obi-Wan in a dream. Kallen, continuing from the previous chapter, also learns that Lelouch is a Britannian prince from Villetta Nu, who has her memories erased by Rai. Mao makes his move and targets Kallen, taking Tamaki hostage to keep Luke busy, taking his lightsaber. Due to this, not only Kallen, but also Ohgi, Sabine, Rex, Thane, Rai, and Tamaki learn about Lelouch's identity. C-3PO ends up being discovered by the Student Council at Ashford, and ends up becoming an honorary member.]]
* WhatTheHellHero: After his failed attempt to interrogate Cornelia and near capture in Saitama, Lelouch is then given a harsh lecture by everyone aboard the Millennium Falcon, telling him that he can't let his selfishness and ego get in the way of the Rebellion. The lecture, as well as hearing all the tragedies that the others suffered, including learning about the destruction of Alderaan and Vader killing Luke's father and mentor, seems to have affected Lelouch, especially when they promise they will help him get justice for what happened to both his mother and sister.
* YouMonster: Facing him for the first time in Narita, this was the reaction of all the Black Knights after watching Darth Vader effortlessly repel them and their Knightmares ''on foot'' and mercilessly kill [[spoiler:Yoshida]]; the Black Knights fully understanding now just how utterly cold-blooded and '''''unstoppable''''' the Sith Lord truly is.
* YouRebelScum: Uttered quite often between the Galactic Imperials and the Britannian Imperials. First used verbatim in ''The Battle for Narita'' following [[spoiler:Tohdoh's capture]].
