Starstuff is an unpublished work (OC Universe/Daydream, unsure what is exactly what) made by Trocryst. The story focuses on Karen and her friends as she accidentally discovers eldritch knowledge and makes friends with [[GodInHumanForm Gods In Human Form]].

!! This unreleased... thing provides examples of:
* CallAHumanAMeatbag: Dwellers, exiles and other intangible spirits call sentient fleshy things "starbeings". Some consider it a derogatory term, but many xenology-inclined practitioners actually use it themselves to describe all sapients.
** PlayedWith, as it is implied they call sentient robots like that as well.
* ColorMotif: There are many colours that can only be seen when by the unveiled. All of them have specific associations and [[ColorCodedWizardry powers that their mundane counterparts don't have]], which usually coincide with their color symbolism.
* DreamLand: Xerateri, a realm composed of Xeratinon, an infinite city and Xeraunnu, a set of catacombs, mausoleums and mazes located beneath it.
* GodInHumanForm: Downplayed and justified with exiles. Once dwellers, exiles are simply BroughtDownToNormal as punishment for one of the CRIMES, which WARDEN does not take kindly to. However, the [[HumanoidAbomination human forms that they take aren't that human to the unveiled]].
* InvisibleToNormals: Or rather: invisible to the "veiled".
** The Veil is a mystical construct that covers the mind of every single starbeing in this universe. It prevents everyone from seeing the {{Fictional Colour}}s, perceiving the decidedly not typical forms of exiles and remembering anything from trips to [[DreamLand Xerateri]].
*** How is the Veil broken? It depends - you can sleep in the rain, or pray before bed, or stain your sheets with black ink and rest naked. It usually depends on how much you want to break through it, how many actions you take toward that goal, and if you are even aware of it's existence.
* {{Immortality}}: Lower than Dwellers but higher than most are ascendants, immortal sapients. There are a few kinds of ascension, called "immortal states".
