Two-Bit Pictures is an American independent film company. Founded in 2011, it was formed originally to compete in events such as [[SelfImposedChallenge the 48 Hour Film Project and the National Film Challenge]] on NoBudget. Based out of various unofficial locations in New England (primarily Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with a strong support base out of New Haven, Connecticut), Two-Bit Pictures is advancing out of competition films and into larger-scale independent production, with larger-scale projects coming in 2013.

Its logo is a depiction of a [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin two-bit picture]] as would be seen on [[ShoutOut the green-tinted screen]] of a UsefulNotes/GameBoy.

Two-Bit Pictures is on [[http://www.facebook.com/2bitPX Facebook]], [[http://www.twitter.com/2bitPX Twitter]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/user/2bitPX YouTube]], and a website is currently in development.

[[folder:''Looking Forward'']]
* HumanInterestStory: The ShowWithinAShow itself, an interview with Valerie Hart.
* PowerLossMakesYouStrong: The big conflict of the film. Valerie can't sleep because she can't decide whether she'll be happier with or without her ability.
* PowersAsPrograms: Valerie has little trouble [[spoiler:switching out her telepathy for telekinesis.]]
* PsychicChildren: Valerie, who is still in high school.
* PsychicPowers: Valerie gains psychic powers from drinking milk. [[spoiler:Drinking [=OJ=] turns this into MindOverMatter.]]
* {{Stinger}}: Valerie and Uncle Hank enjoy a breakfast with orange juice instead. [[spoiler:Said beverage has an [[MindOverMatter interesting effect]] on Valerie.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''10-54 in Progress'']]
* ABloodyMess: The red liquid by Alan's head. The lab analyst [[TheKetchupTest tastes it]] to figure out what it is, and ''still'' can't figure out if it's bloody mary mix or actual blood. [[spoiler:It's not blood. But Duncan had to [[{{Squick}} intentionally taste blood]] to determine that.]]
* CluelessDetective: Gary, whose [[BatDeduction bizarre leaps of logic]] don't get the investigation anywhere.
* DonutMessWithACop: '''''GARY'S JUST IN THIS FOR THE DONUTS.'''''
* {{Flashback}}: How the audience sees the actual events of the party, through sober eyes.
* ForensicDrama: Hold the drama.
* GentlemanDetective: Jonathan and Gary seem to think they're this. [[spoiler:They aren't.]]
* InspectorJavert: Everyone instantly assumes Alan Sarmast is dead, then a burglar. [[spoiler:He was knocked unconscious when one of the drunk cops threw a ''gun'' at his head.]]
* PoliceAreUseless: All of them, but mostly Billy, who ''tapes the waking victim to the floor to keep him from moving''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Silver Lining'']]
* BadDate: The bulk of the film. [[spoiler:Turns out, she thought it was cute.]]
* OffscreenBreakup: [[spoiler:Or so he thinks.]]
* SilentMovie: All the sound effects for the film were recorded in the motel room where it was edited. Including the credits "music".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''How Many?'']]
* BrickJoke: [[TitleDrop How many]] [[spoiler:scientists does it take to screw in a light bulb]]? [[spoiler:[[DontExplainTheJoke "Two."]]]]
* ShownTheirWork: The formulas used throughout the film are actual formulas related to heat transfer and electricity, [[BilingualBonus an early clue to the punchline.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Boiling Point'']]
* AllThereInTheManual: One of the Website/YouTube tags for the film reveals the true nature of Kelvin's plight: [[spoiler:heat stroke]].
* EvilIsDeathlyCold: The devilish Ivan Wright's appearance has him set against the only blue hues of the entire film.
* FireIsRed: Well, ''heat'' is red.
* LightIsNotGood: The hotter the basement gets, the brighter.
* MindScrew: Things seem to just keep disappearing around Kelvin, with no real explanation...
** MindScrewdriver: [[spoiler:[[WordOfGod ...because Kelvin is suffering from an extreme case of heat stroke.]]]]
* SaunaOfDeath: It's not clear whether [[HouseFire something is on fire]], but the locked basement is definitely getting rapidly hotter in some capacity.
* OutOfTheInferno: [[spoiler:Subverted.]]
* ThroughTheEyesOfMadness: Because Kelvin is [[spoiler: suffering the extreme symptoms of heat stroke]], the audience has a difficult time distinguishing reality from what's [[UnreliableNarrator just in his head]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Outside the Box'']]
* EveryoneHatesMimes: Marc seems to encounter an awful lot of resistance for someone just trying to spend a day in town.
* HeroicMime: Literally.
* MimeAndMusicOnlyCartoon: Not a cartoon, but the rest of the trope applies perfectly.
* WorkingTitle: ''[[PublisherChosenTitle Mime's First Outing]]'', a title chosen by the film editor. Helps explain why Marc leaving is so notable, but was changed just prior to completion.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''[=DIY=]'']]
* BloodOath: Smartly averted by Myth/{{Lilith}} [[spoiler:not biting Evelyn directly, as this would result in another vampire.]]
* BloodSplatteredInnocents: Not exactly. Evelyn is kidnapped and [[spoiler: forced to murder herself via bloodletting]], but only because she failed to [[spoiler:rob a blood bank]].
* CouldntFindAPen: [[spoiler:Inverted. Evelyn is given a pen to make herself bleed out.]]
* KensingtonGore: Done rather well... except for a single shot with visible foam.
* OverdrawnAtTheBloodBank: Subverted. The amount of blood shown is actually [[ShownTheirWork roughly accurate]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''The Interview'']]
* MushroomSamba: Ben finds himself in one after taking more than a little "Time Off".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Late Night Shift'']]
* BitByBitTransformation: Brian slowly transforms over the course of the movie, generally getting hairier and clawier as the night goes on.
* BloodierAndGorier: The second half of the film, compared to the first half.
* BloodIsTheNewBlack: After a night of unrestricted murder, Brian sits on the couch covered in blood, [[ThousandYardStare horrified at the night's events]].
* BloodyHandprint: Brian has a few on him by morning, without any clue as to whose they are.
* FullyEmbracedFiend: Subverted. Brian is visibly '''horrified''' by the carnage the next morning
* HulkingOut: Mr. Ferguson probably isn't getting his butterscotch pudding.
* ResistTheBeast: A less direct version, but Brian does actually try to keep himself away from work during the full moon.
* RustproofBlood: The bloodsmears on Brian haven't browned overnight, it would seem.
* WolfMan
[[/folder]]
