4Carolyn Sue Jones (April 28, 1930 – August 3, 1983) was an American television and movie actress.

6She is probably best remembered as the first actress to portray [[Franchise/TheAddamsFamily Morticia Addams]] in the 1960s series ''Series/TheAddamsFamily'', but she's also remembered for her roles in ''Film/{{House of Wax|1953}}'' and the original ''Film/{{Invasion of the Body Snatchers|1956}}''. She received an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in ''The Bachelor Party'' (1957).

8Producer Creator/AaronSpelling was her third husband. She passed away at only age 53 from colon cancer. Her onscreen ''Addams'' husband, Creator/JohnAstin, gave the eulogy at her funeral.
