3	Established in 1983 and disestablished in 1997. Boss Film Studios was a visual effects studio established by former Creator/IndustrialLightAndMagic employee Richard Edlund. The company's first two projects were ''Film/{{Ghostbusters 1984}}'' and ''Film/TwoThousandTenTheYearWeMakeContact'' with[[note]]and also buying out[[/note]] Creator/DouglasTrumbull's studio Entertainment Effects Group.

5	A spin-of studio of Boss, known as Boss Game Studios, have produced video games[[note]]including ''Stunt Racer 64'', ''Twisted Edge Extreme Snowboarding'' and ''World Driver Championship''[[/note]] for both the Platform/PlayStation and the Platform/Nintendo64. Games for both the Platform/VirtualBoy[[note]]a game simply called ''3D Tank''[[/note]] and the Platform/XBox[[note]]a racing game known as ''[=RacerX=]''[[/note]] were planned, but never released. They closed in 2002, during the production of ''[=RacerX=]''.
