''Reign of X'' is a comic book relaunch in the ComicBook/XMen franchise by Creator/MarvelComics. It is the second phase of the wider [[ComicBook/XMenTheKrakoanAge Krakoan Age]] and the sequel to ''ComicBook/DawnOfX'', following the end of the crossover event ''ComicBook/XOfSwords''.

As with ''Dawn of X'', this formed part of Creator/JonathanHickman’s wider redesign of the X-Men titles and Hickman served as the overall architect, working with all of the different creative teams to co-ordinate the wider arc.

"Reign of X" concluded with the limited series ''ComicBook/Inferno2021'', and the interlinked titles ''X Lives of Wolverine'' and ''X Deaths of Wolverine'', leading into a third phase titled ''ComicBook/DestinyOfX''.

''Inferno'' also marked Hickman’s last work on the X-Men books, leaving before his wider Krakoa arc was finished. The ''Destiny of X'' arc will be overseen by other writers.
