''Heroes Against Hunger'' is a 1986 one-shot comic published by Creator/DCComics that featured an all-star cast of comic book creators on a single story that was meant as a benefit for African famine relief and recovery. In this comic book, Franchise/{{Superman}} and Franchise/{{Batman}} team together with ComicBook/LexLuthor to help bring relief to the impoverished country of Ethiopia while dealing with the story's BigBad, the Master.

!!This comic book provides examples of:

* AllForNothing: Sadly, Superman and Lex Luthor's combined efforts do nothing to alleviate the hunger situation in Africa, as Peace Corps worker Lee Ann Layton points out.
* AntiVillain: Lex Luthor in this story, who provides his technological skill to provide famine relief to Africa after seeing how devastated its people are.
* ArtShift: Due to the number of various pencilers and inkers who submitted two pages each for the story.
* BigBad: The Master, who thrives off the misery of people for his amusement and survival.
* EnemyMine: Lex Luthor teams together with Superman and Batman to deal with the Master.
* TheFamine: The Ethiopian famine plays center stage in this story.
* MagicMusic: The Master has a keyboard on his chest that lets him play music that allows him to do anything he wants.
* PocketDimension: The Master tries to trap Superman within one by using his MagicMusic, but he escapes by flying faster than its portal can close.
* PowerfulAndHelpless: Superman and Lex Luthor are two of the most powerful characters in the DC universe (and Luthor is incredibly rich and smart, to boot) and they are completely unable to help with the famine. The comic's cover even had Supes [[HeroicBSOD on his knees and full of shell-shock misery]] as Luthor points this out.
