3	''Gambit'' is a Creator/MarvelComics superhero, usually associated with the ComicBook/XMen franchise. [[Characters/MarvelComicsGambit Remy LeBeau, aka Gambit]], is a Cajun mutant and master-thief, adopted and raised by the Thieves Guild of New Orleans. The character was introduced in 1990, during writer Creator/ChrisClaremont's run of ''ComicBook/UncannyXMen'', and swiftly became a member of that team. Subsequent stories expanded on his checkered past and portrayed him as trying to atone for some of his previous mistakes.

5	For much of his publication history he's been romantically linked to his teammate Rogue, and the two eventually married.

31	* ForgottenFallenFriend: Remy's adoptive brother, [=Henri LeBeau=], dies near the start of the ''ComicBook/Gambit1993'' series, Gambit's first solo story. As of 2022, references to him are few and far between in Gambit's later solo stories - even the ones featuring their father or Henri's widow.
