* OCStandIn:
** In ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyTales'', Dazzleglow only had a brief appearance and didn't even have a speaking role. Here, she's the queen of a lost Second Age kingdom, the leader of a SaintlyChurch, and a powerful [[PhysicalGod Sparkle Pony Alicorn]]. Her return, recorded in the ''Tales of Equestria'' story ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Tales-of-Equestria-Stories-4-753011529 Temple of the Shining Queen]]'', is a major event.
** Queen Hazel is one. In canon, King Aspen having a son in canon implies he has a wife, but it's not known what she looks like or whether she's alive or dead. Here, Aspen's wife is depicted as a ruling demigoddess Queen of Thicket, with a fleshed-out backstory and personality of her own.
* OddFriendship:
** Crystal Prism would befriend Katastrofa, Ispita's youngest son, during the "Temptation Unbound" event. Katastrofa is an older deity and a apathetic nihilist whose [[{{Seers}} catastrophic foresight]] made him believe that [[BecauseDestinySaysSo he's only good at destroying things and making people miserable with his catastrophes]], even though he is very intelligent and kind and also embodies Creation. Crystal Prism is a young Alicorn demigod who has empathetic precognition, but actively helps people deal with stressful changes despite the incredible trauma he suffered in the past. Despite their differences and beliefs, they would hit it off easily, and it is believed in-universe that Katastrofa's Creation domain is quite similar to Crystal Prism's Rebirth domain.
** It's mentioned in a few entries that Golden Scepter has this kind of relationship with Temnobog, the Dark One. Despite both of them being night and day in terms of personality, beliefs, and abilities, and despite Temnobog being the ''last'' sort of person that someone like Golden Scepter would want to associate with, they were nevertheless able to become good friends. Part of the reason is that, as a highly beloved ruler and [[AnthropomorphicPersonification the living embodiment of Ponykind]], Golden Scepter represents [[PointOfDivergence the god Belyolen and Temnobog could and should have been]]. But a canonized Codexverse quote also reveals that he and Temnobog became friends because, after hearing of the latter's emotionally abusive past, Golden Scepter was incredibly empathetic and treated him kindly, [[YouAreNotAlone even going out of his way to help him and his brother]] despite Temnobog being a GodOfEvil. Some of Golden Scepter's sons see this as rather odd, with Written Word [[GoodCannotComprehendEvil finding it baffling that someone like his own father would befriend an Evil deity like Temnobog]], though he would eventually get over this and befriend (or at least tolerate) Phykti, Temnobog's eldest daughter. Pokhot, Temnobog's youngest daughter, see nothing wrong with it and often plays "[[SecretTestOfCharacter games]]" of temptation with them whenever they visit the Bogolenya pantheon, as her way of being friendly with the children of a god who's friends with her father. It's revealed in Canteros' entry that Canteros was responsible for Golden Scepter befriending Temnobog in the first place; as Temnobog [[IJustWantToBeLoved only wanted to be loved and respected]], Canteros pulled some strings to ensure the Deer god of Evil's emotional recovery from the Elternteil Deer Pantheon's emotional abuse, "[[TheEmpath nudging]]" empathetic individuals like Upepo, Golden Scepter, and Kaldr to Temnobog so he could receive a steady stream of support.
** Much like Golden Scepter and Temnobog before them, Blue Suede Heartstrings and Prince Stoltur Skjöldur also have this kind of friendship, despite the latter's inner Evil and overall vain nature. As it turned out, they countered and balanced each other at the same time; as the Alicorn god of Humility, Blue decreases pride so he could redeem mortals and help them [[TookALevelInKindness become kinder]], while Stoltur, the Deer god of Evil and Pride, increases pride to weed out the wicked. Blue also serves as a calming influence on Stoltur because he can [[TheEmpath radiate an empathic aura that lessens pride]], something the latter appreciates. In turn, Stoltur has been encouraging Blue to have a little more pride in himself because he often gave himself too little credit for his own accomplishments, even when it's well deserved, and having too little pride is as bad as having too much. Canteros hints that they might become lovers in the future, due to their compatibility and closeness as friends.
* OddJobGods: In the Codex, there are a lot of deities with rare, extremely specialized domains
** Cultura is the Draconequi Goddess of Popular Culture. While certainly a weird thing to be based on, [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower it has some impressive powers]], such as being able to copy the powers of fictional characters, summon puppets of them to do her bidding, and trap her enemies in fictional scenarios. She also possesses encyclopedic knowledge of popular culture, all of it, which makes her a pretty skilled manipulator.
** Vehere is the Griffon Goddess of Modern Transportation and Travel. As with Cultura, this is more impressive than it sounds. She's incapable of getting lost (unless he wants to), has encyclopedic knowledge of vehicles, has a photographic memory, and can recreate any vehicle she's cataloged in her scrapbook from thin air, as well as create the means for them to travel wherever she likes. This includes things like tanks. She also can teleport, but she prefers to take the long route.
** Downplayed with Entasi, who is the Minotaur God of Strength and Victory on top of being the God of Sports. He gets unlimited stamina and incredible agility out of that part of his portfolio.
** Munditia is the goddess of Hygiene and Sanitation, who has the power to clean literally anything, including the body of toxins and poisons, pollution, and even the soul.
** Prince Sermo's domain of Newscasters doesn't seem like much compared to other common concepts like Integrity, Research, and Knowledge, but it's actually [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower more powerful than it appears]]. Being a god of Newscasters grants him telepathic and telekinetic abilities, some degree of [[MakeSomeNoise Sound magic]], the ability to create holographic projections, and the ability to [[{{Omniglot}} instantly understand and speak any language]]. Sermo's domain also grants him a degree of technopathic ability allows him to control technology associated with newscasters, such as computers, cameras, and so on, with his powers changing and adapting as technology changes according to the standards of each Age.
** Sultana Sahra's domain of Exploration doesn't seem like much, but it prevents her from getting lost no matter where she is, and she can create maps from magic alone, which is a very useful power to have for avid explorers like her. Her PhotographicMemory also allows her to remember places she previously visited so she can go back to them whenever she wants.
** Prince Crystal Clear's domain of Stage Crews doesn't seem as common or impressive as Sound or Technology, yet as is the case with Sermo's domain of Newscasters, it's actually more powerful than it looks. he possesses telepathic, empathic, and telekinetic powers for communication/coordination and multitasking, respectively, and he has precognitive abilities that allow him to protect his stage crews from accidents. He can also heal his co-workers and grant them various boons that allow them do their jobs more effectively, such as enhanced stamina and endurance.
* OhCrap:
** During his talk with Temnobog, it slowly dawns on Crystal Prism that Queen Dazzleglow would likely not react well to hearing that Evil has a constructive place in Equus, and that her goal of breaking the Cycle might be foolish all along. Thankfully, Dazzleglow takes it in stride and privately clears up everything with Temnobog, leading to a better understanding of her motives on the dark god's part.
** [[SerialKiller Night Terror]]'s reaction to being thrown into the real world, and discovering that a furious Yarost was waiting for him the whole time, was one of complete horror.
** By his own admission, meeting [[Music/ElvisPresley Blue Suede Heartstrings]] for the first time and realizing he's actually meeting the King of Music himself caused a then-mortal Prince Healing Song to become incredibly nervous and panicky, as he didn't know how to properly behave in front of a legendary rock god. He eventually got over it once he learned to look past Blue's divinity and see him as just another fellow musician. They became really good friends after that.
** This would happen to High King Irminsul twice.
*** After an ''enraged'' Golden Scepter confronted him in his true divine form and gave him an ''epic'' TheReasonYouSuckSpeech in front of the entire Bogolenya Deer Pantheon, Irminsul was left so terrified that he avoids visiting the Bogolenya Deer Pantheon in general on the off-chance that Golden Scepter might be there as well.
*** After learning that an outsider, Blue Suede Heartstrings, convinced a few Alvslog Deer to abandon their prideful, racist, reactionary, and self-righteous ways, he planned to punish the Alicorn god of Music and Humility for "stealing" away his mortal subjects. However, his son Belyolen pointing out the possibility of facing Golden Scepter's terrible wrath again if Blue were to be harmed quickly nips that plan in the bud, forcing both Irminsul and the Elternteil Deer Pantheon to back off and leave Blue alone.
* OlderIsBetter: Played with.
** Due to deities [[StrongerWithAge aging differently]] than mortals, older deities are often extremely powerful and eldritch. The oldest of them, such as the Grand Primevals, are rightly treated with fear and respect by pretty much everyone on Equus [[spoiler:while even older deities like the Grand Primevals' (unnamed) parent, the Cosmic Sovereigns, and the Architects predate life in the universe itself]].
** Subverted in regards to things like societies and technologies, according to [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/869479644/4944155377 BrutalityInc]]. InUniverse, present-Age scholars, historians, and the like regard divine societies of pre-Known History like the Alicorn Civilization as 'better' due to a combination of advanced development in technology, magic, and progressive thinking lending to the creation of divine utopias. However, said scholars and historians forget that such societies take a long time to develop, and ironically, the deities who founded them were [[TheFutureWillBeBetter looking towards the future]].
* OlderThanTheyLook: Generally justified, especially with divines, whose immortality stops them from aging at all, only getting StrongerWithAge, unless there are special circumstances that nullify it.
** It's noted in Noble Grace's entry that she's skilled in age-manipulation magic, an extremely difficult yet heavily-coveted skill among unicorns, making herself look far younger than her actual age and allowing her to continue staying in her prime. When a corrupted Page Wheel made her one of his first victims and drained all of her magic, she was reduced to her true age: An elderly and completely powerless unicorn mare.
* OmnicidalManiac:
** Ahuizotl is one, being a nihilist who feels destruction is the only thing that gives life meaning. This is a huge reason why he wants to perpetuate the Cycle and attempted to kill Queen Dazzleglow, until Daring Do stopped him.
** King Xestobium is genocidally insane to the point of trying to detonate the entire 'Ring of Fire' in his attempt to kill off the Dragon species as well as the Summer Court, which would also trigger a mass extinction event via volcanic ice age, which he may have known about but no longer cared. There's implication that he had no intent to survive this himself, making him [[PutThemAllOutOfMyMisery far more sympathetic]] than Ahuizotl, who kills because he both sees death as a natural part of "The Cycle" and because [[ForTheEvulz it amuses him]].
** [[spoiler:The Void Sovereign is one. He was originally one of three Cosmic Sovereigns (who also happened to be [[SiblingTeam siblings]]) tasked with overseeing the Equusian galaxy -- in his case, the Void Sovereign's duty was to destroy planets and cosmic sectors that have [[SoiledCityOnAHill become too wicked to be redeemed in any way]]. Unfortunately, the Void Sovereign gradually became nihilistic to the point where he became a cosmic destroyer that sought to destroy all life, which he refers to as returning everything to the void. The first time he attacked Equus, he was defeated and sealed away in the Cosmic Void, but [[BrokeyourArmPunchingOutCthulhu at a steep cost]]. The entire reason why the [[SaintlyChurch Church of the Stars]] was formed is so its members could help ''all'' of Equusian sapientkind prepare for the Void Sovereign's potential return -- which eventually does happen by the time the Fifth Age starts.]]
* OmnidisciplinaryScientist: Dr. Toxikon is one, with his plan thus far involving an in depth knowledge of psychology, biotechnology, and chemistry, and also has invented machines for construction. Justified, as he's a Dragon and thus had 5,000 years to learn and pursue degrees.
* OneGenderRace: Subverted with the Alicorns; it's popularly believed in-universe that due to the abundance of female Alicorns, Alicorns in general are primarily female, and as a consequence, it is also believed that fillies and mares are more "worthy" and "capable" of Ascending, with proof lying in the fact that powerful mares like Princess Twilight Sparkle have often been chosen to Ascend. However, there do exist male Alicorns in the Codexverse, albeit at a far lower number, and when the infant Alicorn Godling, Prince Léon Blueblood, was officially introduced to the public by Celestia, some saw Léon as a threat to Equestria's existing social hierarchy simply because to his gender. Luminiferous would firmly and soundly disprove this notion, stating that he has mentored both mares and stallions alike, and not all of them Ascended. The Equestrian Princesses agreed with him, adding that anyone becoming an Alicorn is a cause for celebration. It is also speculated by [=BrutalityInc=] that even before its fall, the Alicorn civilization did have males, but at a comparatively low number as did their mortal counterparts.
* OneManArmy: 'Visitors' have attacked both a Cloven base and Hive Brachion to [[RoaringRampageOfRescue save a Sparkle Ponies]] that were [[PapaWolf believed to be their offspring]]. Both did so alone and were effectively unstoppable. This is justified, as Visitors are implied to be aliens with power and technology that exceeds those of Equus.
* OneToMillionToOne: Befitting his portfolio, Crystal Prism can quickly change his body into [[TheSwarm a swarm of blue butterflies]] as a quick, alternative evasion method in case using his wings isn't an option.
* OneWingedAngel:
** Dreadmares possess the ability to do this if they gather enough fear, [[FusionDance fusing with their Terror]] to become a living storm shaped like a serpent. The first example of this was the mutant Dread.
** Zinabi, the previous TopGod of the Abyssinian Pantheon, does this after his opponent Jegina, the Abyssinian God of Courage and Heroism, managed to knock him off his feet and wound him in their duel for the throne of their pantheon. Zinabi sheds his AFormYouAreComfortableWith for his pure divine form, a titanic, Abyssinian-shaped storm singularity of cataclysmic power.
** Inverted with Jegina, who follows suit shortly thereafter (after luring the battle to an area where mortals wouldn't be harmed), becoming a being of pure golden, heroic energy.
** Bolezn, Temnobog's second-youngest son and the embodiment of Gluttony, Greed, and Pestilence, has the ability to turn into a gigantic version of himself that's made of both fleshly and gem-plated insects/vermin. In this form, his powers are increased tenfold, and he's extremely hard to hit since parts of him can fly away to avoid attacks. Once he's done, however, he takes a while to rest and recover. Bolezn thinks that "One-Winged Angel" isn't an accurate way to describe his form, though, [[ComicallyMissingThePoint because if he really did go one-winged, he wouldn't be able to fly at all]].
** Yarost's ultimate form is an enormous, hulking, bloodthirsty dragon-like monster with black and red scales; rows of teeth literally made of sharp swords; long, spiraling horns; a spiky clubbed tail; two pairs of wings; and spikes made of flames. In this form, Yarost's physical strength and endurance are both enhanced tenfold, and his proficiency with fire magic increases, making him an absolutely devastating powerhouse that could potentially bathe Equus in blood and fire if he chooses to. However, he sees it more as a ClippedWingAngel form since it makes him more prone to rage and is ''incredibly'' destructive, and using that much power would only repeat the death and destruction he had previously caused in his grief, and only saves it for absolutely dire situations.
---> '''Yarost:''' I would rather fight my enemies in my weakest form first, than go all out and devastate the Deer realms with just a few strikes.
** Inverted with Emperor Golden Scepter. His true form is an incredibly ancient, six-winged Alicorn god whose hair is made of black spatial energy, and his wing feathers are made of holy fire. In addition, he has a [[HolyHalo shining halo]] behind his head. It's implied by a Codexverse quote that he only reveals this form when there's no other way or when he's extremely pissed-off, as he doesn't want to cause collateral damage, which means that his "default" form - that of a rather normal-looking (yet still tall), black-haired Alicorn - is nothing but a [[GodInHumanForm magical disguise]].
*** While visiting the Bogolenya Deer Pantheon, he found Belyolen and Temnobog heatedly arguing with their father, High King Irminsul, who was also visiting. The horrible things Irminsul said about Temnobog and the non-Deer/hybrid Bogolenya deities enraged Golden Scepter to the point where he revealed his true divine form, and confronted the High King in front of everyone. What followed next was a [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech dressing-down]] so vicious that Irminsul became deeply terrified of Golden Scepter and now stays far away from the Bogolenya Deer Pantheon on the off-chance that the Alicorn Emperor might be there if he decides to visit again.
*** He would reveal his true divine form again during the "Temptation Unbound" conflict after he discovered that a group of Fallen deities and their worshipers tried engineering the fracturing and downfall of his family, which infuriated him.
** Inverted and justified with Blue Suede Heartstrings. Because of his humility, he often appears as a mortal from various sapient races, not wanting to be treated differently for being divine. He only reveals his true form as an Alicorn god in necessary situations, such as confronting foes that he can't fight while in a mortal form.
* OnlyTheChosenMayWield: A common enchantment for magical artifacts of enormous power.
** The Elements of Harmony, as in canon, are this, as are the Lights of the Seven Royals of Friendship Gardens. These are implied to be very similar powers.
** The Enchanted Throne of Friendship Gardens contains the Majestic Power, the magical power of Queen Majesty, [[WorldsStrongestMan the strongest mortal pony to ever live]]. But the Enchanted Throne will only give it (and thus the throne of Friendship Gardens) to one worthy. It's given it to heroes throughout history in times of great need, most recently Fluttershy, but most return it due to having no interest in ruling. Only Queen Sunsparkle has ever claimed it for any length of time, though she gave it up for a worthy successor to use [[spoiler:so she could help those pony colonists who got stranded in space during the first Void Aeon]]. Fluttershy would eventually inherit the throne after the League of Domination Crisis, becoming Queen Gaia Posey I.
* OppositesAttract: Exaggerated with Válka and his wife Mier, who are a WarGod and Goddess of ''Peace'' respectively. Mier balancing out Válka is one reason why he's the only one of his three siblings to ''not'' fall to evil. They're also SickeningSweethearts and deeply in love with each other.
* OrderVsChaos: Many conflicts between beings, factions and powers carries vibes of this.
** On top of it being [[ForTheEvulz amusing]], Discord's destruction of '[[{{Precursors}} The Ones Before]]' in Amorea and many other civilizations is described as especially beneficial to the Draconequus as they are bastions of order and stability whose existence is quite anathema to a Spirit of Chaos.
** The 500-years long "War Against Chaos" around 2,500 years before the present day of Equestria is essentially one, where a 'Celestial Alliance' of deities, immortals and races fought to contain the then-villainous Discord, his accomplices and their 'Disorder Lords' who had taken over the Equestrian subcontinent and wanted to takeover/remake the rest of the world. No guesses for who stands for Order and Chaos in this fight.
** The Progenitors of Changelingkind, personal animosity to Discord aside, are more or less foils to Discord in similar ways, both being the parents, originators and overarching rulers of [WIP]
* OriginsEpisode: The Storm King Crisis features one for the title villain.
* {{Orochi}}: Yamata no Orochi, a Fallen Dragon god, is a major villain in Neighpon's history, and his return is a major focus of many stories set there.
* OurGiantsAreBigger: Prominently mentioned, with the Codex going into extensive detail in explaining their various behaviors and cultures, revealing they have considerable HiddenDepths than most small races assume they have other than just being violent, domineering, over-sized brutes.
** Cyclops in the Codexverse are complete opposites of what they are depicted both in-universe and in real-life, being a highly civilized race of artisans, scholars and BadassPacifist individuals who prefer not to use violence to solve problems unlike most other Giants. They're very disappointed that the actions of their exiles had tainted outsiders' perception of them to be nothing more than pony-eating savages.
** Nature Giants, among some of the biggest Giants on Equus, are an Equine race of druids attuned to nature ruled over by a theocratic matriarchal monarchy. They used to be more friendly to Tinies, but a terrible experience with Grogar and Tambelon's desecration of their domains in the First Age irrevocably ruined their relationship with Tinies outsiders and promptly lead to their continued isolationism to this day. As a result of their isolationism, they became highly self-righteous and [[FantasticRacism xenophobic]], seeing themselves as the rightful caretakers of nature and permanently exiling anyone who might threaten the status quo regardless of innocence.
** The Grand Griffons are a demigod race of giant Griffons who are directly or indirectly descended from the gods of Griffonkind, specifically Boreas and Astra of the Northern Griffon Pantheon. Honorable and noble, they go out of their way to protect innocent Tinies and serve as allies, guides and teachers of many great heroes of the Tauren Peninsula where they are primarily based, next to Griffonnia.
** Queen Colossos' Empire is a Giant civilization of nomadic warriors who conquered much of the continent of Terra Equus at its height which eventually went to war against the Crystal Empire after a disastrous FirstContact.
** The Gigantes of the Taurus Peninsula Giant Lands are mentioned as one of the most prominent on Equus, with a warrior culture based around honour. Their chief deity is Terraton, the god of earth, battle and honour.
** The Giants of Light are this among the [[SufficientlyAdvancedAliens 'Visitors']], with a culture which sees it a duty for them to battle evil monsters and threats and be benevolent defenders of Tinies and other races. Due to their small numbers, this makes evil individuals among them extremely rare. They have also sired hybrid giant demigods such as Lysets Far and Legate Anela, who would become heroes in their own right.
* OurGodsAreDifferent: In the Codexverse, deities are created by, and defined by, a system in which magic holds a heavy influence in their development in various ways.
** Most deities are born from various elemental/abstract phenomena as simple lifeforms that gradually develop sapience and intelligence until they Ascend to godhood. Other deities, however, are the result of [[DeityOfHumanOrigin mortals Ascending to godhood]], hence the Ascendant category. While generally [[PureMagicBeing composed of magic]], deities can assume physical forms and are capable of biological reproduction, even spawning racial divine hybrids in some cases, and unlike mortals, they generally do not suffer any consequences from incestual relationships. Also, unlike mortals, deities [[StrongerWithAge only become more powerful and eldritch as they get older]], with the oldest of them being feared and [[EldritchAbomination incomprehensible]]. However, due to the fluid nature of divinity in general, it is possible for deities to take this further by having their 'age' accelerated or even re-Ascending into a completely different being under the right circumstances.
** Deities also come in three categories: Elementals, Ethereals, and Ascendants. [[ElementalEmbodiment Elemental deities]] spawn from elemental phenomena such as storms, volcanic eruptions, and oceanic currents. [[AbstractApotheosis Ethereal deities]] spawn when abstract ideas, emotions, and thoughts come to life and gain sapience. [[DeityOfHumanOrigin Ascendant Deities]] are sapient mortals which, whether in life or upon death, had acquired enough power or achieved such impressive deeds that they were judged worthy of Ascension by higher powers. Many mortal factions/individuals like the Alicorn Ascendancy have tried creating more Ascendant deities by 'shortcutting' their way to godhood, but because the complex nature of Ascension and divinity in general ensure that many of said attempts fail disastrously.
** However, because the nature of deities is fluid, it is possible for them to have their ages [[RapidAging accelerated far past their natural age]] or 're-Ascend' into completely different beings under the right circumstances. Princess Arcus, Queen Aoide Mousikós, and [[spoiler:Diamond Tiara/Queen Elpis]] are a few examples of the former, while Moon Ray Vaughoof/Prince Canticum Lunae Cahaya is an example of the latter.
** As shown with a few entries, divine reincarnations are also possible. Unlike traditional {{Reincarnation}}s, a divine reincarnation is essentially someone [[FusionDance fusing]] with the essence of a dead deity. While their souls do merge as one, the two individuals are able to co-exist and channel their full being under certain circumstances. Examples of this include Tranquil Harbor/Omega (who becomes Promes' reincarnation), [[spoiler:Princess Amicitia/Twilight (who becomes Mana Equus' reincarnation), and Diamond Tiara/Queen Elpis (who becomes Diamond Glow's reincarnation). In Amicitia/Twilight's case, her status as Mana Equus' reincarnation is kept secret by the Church of the Stars so she'll be protected from those who will come to resent her for supposedly being more privileged than others]].
* OurTitansAreDifferent:
** Deities who are between 100,000 and 1 million years old are classified as Titans, and fits the definition by being older than recorded history and extremely powerful. Ispita, Luminiferous, Terraton, Pakak, Queen Mab II, and the Three Deaths are a few examples.
** Older than Titans but still fitting the definition of 'primordial, immensely powerful deities' are Antecedent (1 million - 10 million years), Preeminent (10 million - 100 million years), and Primeval (anything older than that). These are typically extremely huge, extremely powerful, primordial entities. Golden Scepter, Isati, Mzazi, Canteros, Amarelthea, Ergaleía, Exosus, Skotádi, and the Shadowed Ones are a few examples.
** The Grand Primevals are the oldest of the old deities on Equus, being as old as the world itself. They are also the largest, most eldritch, and most powerful deities on the planet. Amareros, Kaos, Ordos, Ourophion, Adversus, and Symvíosi are a few examples.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent:
** In a ShoutOut to a certain popular fan theory, it is revealed [[spoiler:Vinyl Scratch/'DJ Pon-3', Octavia roommate/soulmate]] in Ponyville is actually an Equestrian Vampire who had been around for [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld 500 years]], sustaining herself through blood packs from blood banks and feeding ([[VegetarianVampire non-lethally]]) on the occasional AssholeVictim to sate her HorrorHunger. Luckily for every-pony, she is a FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire in Ponyville and apparently the town already knows of and is fine with her vampirism.
** During the 'Great Wars Era' of the Second Age, a ''[[FeralVampires Strigoi]]'' from [[{{Myth/RussianMythologyAndTales}} Strussia]] somehow managed to find its way to Ponyland and began terrorizing a town preying on its inhabitants. Unfortunately for the Strigoi, a working-class Strussian émigré member of the VampireHunter group which went after and eventually ambushed the vampire [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/829176999/4891700191 brought]] a [[{{UsefulNotes/RedsWithRockets}} Hooviet]]-made [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KPV_heavy_machine_gun KPV-series]] [[MoreDakka Heavy Machine Gun]] along to deal with the bloodsucking bastard.[[note]]For reference, those things fire 14.5x114mm rounds size of fists which can absolutely shred people and kill light vehicles at a range of up to 4-8 km at 600 rounds-per-minute[[/note]] [[CurbstompBattle The Strigoi didn't stand a chance]].
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: The zombies of [[VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks Sunnytown]] are [[TechnicallyLivingZombie technically living]] -- they're all products of a curse Pakak put on them as [[KarmicTransformation punishment]] for murdering an innocent filly out of fear of the Cutie Mark she earned. As undead, they're biologically immortal, and the fact that they're [[TheNeedless unhindered by mortal needs like eating, breathing, or sleeping]] allows them to pursue their victims for longer periods of time. However, Pakak's curse prevents them from leaving Sunnytown or the Everfree Forest, essentially making them prisoners in their own home.
* OutlawTown: The [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/830291228/4818018962 sky-city of Elysium]] is this. Founded by retired Pegasus crime lord Blood Money, Elysium was originally conceived as a way to enjoy a quiet life without being hounded by authorities. Over time, it evolved into a [[HiddenElfVillage hidden sanctuary]] where the criminal elites can retire in complete seclusion, protected by elite private armies of pegasi mercenary soldiers/mages, artifacts, and multiple layers of illusions and glamours. Its only redeeming trait was [[EvenEvilHasStandards its strong anti-bigotry stance]], something notably shared by the fabled Club Homeostasis ran by Symvíosi, a [[TheOldGods Grand Primeval]]. However, Elysium slowly [[WeHaveBecomeComplacent grew stagnant]] from its successes and collective confidence in never getting caught, which led to its downfall as various benevolent governments would team up to end its existence once and for all. The illusions and glamours hiding Elysium would be destroyed through combined effort from Truth (demi-)deities like Princess Veritas, Prince Clear Voice, and Prince Written Word, allowing heroic forces like those led by Prince Night Shade and Princess Radiant Rapier to storm the place and arrest the entire criminal population.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:P]]
* PapaWolf: Several male characters can be quite protective of their children, blood-related or not.
** Deconstructed and reconstructed with Emperor Golden Scepter's relationship with mortal Ponykind. Because he embodies mortal Ponykind's best and worst traits, Golden Scepter is rather fond of his Pony subjects to the point where he sees all of them as his "children", and always tried leading them to greatness. It's deconstructed in that after the fall of the Alicorn Civilization and fighting the Fallen [[SatanicArchetype Morning Star]] for ''ten Ages'', Golden Scepter was left so traumatized that his judgement and love for Ponykind became warped during the Imperium era. He kick-started numerous wars that were little more than genocidal campaigns out of extreme protectiveness towards Ponykind, and later on, he began loving his Pony subjects only on a collective level, focusing on the idea on what they could become while not giving a damn about them individually and manipulating them however he pleased. This would eventually lead to General Aurum Lupus betraying him and gravely wounding him in the "Aurum Apostasy", necessitating his being sealed away. His rule would ultimately influence his subjects into becoming as ruthless, xenophobic, paranoid, and cruel as he was, as his absence turned the Imperium into a WretchedHive that was later destroyed to end its threat to Equus. However, after he was found and healed by Luminiferous and Dazzleglow in the Second Age, Golden Scepter [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone realized the sheer horror of his actions]] and, with Luminiferous's help, atoned for his crimes by [[WalkingTheEarth wandering all over Equus]] to learn from the examples set by both mortals and divines. His journeys, as well as divine therapeutic help from Mentálne, would influence him to become much kinder and benevolent, and he was able to become a proper ruler who truly cares about his subjects and Ponykind in general.
** After becoming a father of many demi-divine sons, however, Golden Scepter naturally became protective of them, even if his sons are threatened by [[CainAndAbel their own brothers]].
*** He would always try to intervene whenever Fanged Paw got into violent fights with Crimson Star over the latter's InsufferableGenius behavior. When Fanged Paw later went too far and left a depressed and blinded Crimson Star near death by ganging up on him with two other brothers, Red Blade and Death Shroud, [[BigBrotherInstinct provoking the ire of Blazing Hoof]], Golden Scepter would again intervene before things got too bloody, taking Crimson Star to the royal infirmary to be healed before punishing Fanged Paw and his brothers for their actions, with Fanged Paw being exiled from the Terran Empire until he showed significant CharacterDevelopment. Fanged Paw's entry also notes that he was so ''furious'' with his three sons that he proceeded to [[EmotionBomb psychically show them exactly what Crimson Star was going through after the accident that blinded him]], causing Fanged Paw to have an MyGodWhatHaveIDone moment.
*** During the "Temptation Unbound" conflict, after Crimson Star warned him about a bad future in which his family would be torn apart in a crisis that would result in his death, Golden Scepter was so ''angry'' that he saw fit to shed his "[[GodInHumanForm default]]" Alicorn form and reveal his ''true'' form - that of an ancient, six-winged Alicorn god whose power, experience, and age puts him in the same "age" bracket as the first generation of the divine "Ponyfriends". And during his confrontation with the Fallen deities and their worshipers who tried to manipulate and destroy his family, he makes it ''quite clear'' that he won't let their actions towards his sons, as well as his pony subjects and their friends, go unpunished.
----> '''Golden Scepter:''' '''I WILL SHOW YOU JUST HOW FAR A FATHER IS WILLING TO GO IN PROTECTING HIS CHILDREN FROM THOSE WHO DARE TO HARM THEM.'''
** Golden Scepter's second son, Prince Fanged Paw, personally protected Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon from a group of young Poenan worshipers who tried to attack them on the belief that a "greater evil" would soon emerge from the two fillies. When some of the Poenan worshipers refused to back off despite his warnings, Fanged Paw proceeded to [[CurbStompBattle thrash and humiliate them]].
** This happened to Blue Suede Heartstrings in one incident. When a Scion of Hurricane tried attacking Miracle Hymn for [[FantasticRacism being an Earth pony]] (and ends up breaking one of his hooves due to the Magical Filly's SuperToughness), Floral Forte points out how "right daft" he is, with one of her reasons being a "stallion who might as well be her pa happens to be a god... [[RightBehindMe And right behind ye]]." The Scion shortly discovers that [[ExactWords the stallion in question really was standing behind him]], as Blue Suede Heartstrings would immediately disarm the Scion as soon as the latter pulled out a weapon in retaliation to Miracle Hymn sending him into a wall with her [[HolyHandGrenade holy magic]]. Blue ''does'' help the present Dazzling Divas protect the Scion and his tribalist colleagues from an vengeful mob of Corporaturm citizens, but only long enough for the autorities to arrive and arrest/hospitalize them.
** [[EmpathicWeapon Mercy]]'s entry notes that once the Poenan Pantheon got wind of her [[TalkingWeapon sentience]], they immediately called for her purification, thinking she was "corrupted" by Silver Bane after he left the Poenan Pantheon and turned "evil". Naturally, this prompted Prince Red Blade (and his older/younger brothers) to protect Mercy, even though the Poenans' purification magic isn't likely to affect Mercy at all due to a lack of corruption on her part.
* TheParagon:
** Jegina, the Abyssinian God of Heroism and Courage, is this, seeking to be an ideal hero and inspiration for his kind. He's compared to a comic book superhero, even more so after becoming his Pantheon's TopGod.
** Luminiferous, despite being created to be the AntiChrist, ultimately chose to be this: he's God of Perfection, and unlike his father sees this as a call to be an ideal for others to be inspired by and strive to be rather than to lord over everything that's not him. He's regarded by others to be his father, as he should have been.
** The Deer god Belyolen was intended by his father, High King Irminsul, to become a divine force of complete good and benevolence. To that end, he attempted to cast a ritual on his then-unborn son to get rid of all his flaws and darker urges, so only compassion would be left. [[GoneHorriblyWrong Unfortunately]], this resulted in the birth of Belyolen's younger twin, Temnobog, the living embodiment of everything Irminsul tried to destroy. While he was favored and respected by his family and fellow gods, Belyolen did not agree with Temnobog's emotional mistreatment, and after he overheard his family considering the option of [[OffingTheOffspring killing Temnobog altogether]], he rebelled by shaming his family for their arrogance and abusive hypocrisy, and left with several of his brothers and sisters to form the Bogolenya pantheon. This in turn makes him a ''true'' paragon, unlike his self-righteous and hypocritical family and peers.
** Gleaming Shield and his various mortal incarnations are often [[HistoricalHeroUpgrade lionized]] in-universe as this, being the Eternal Hero who will always rise up to rescue his Princess/Queen, Radiant Primrose, and defeat his Eternal Foe, Blood Fang. However, while he is a noble hero, the truth is that he's a flawed individual who had to work to become the celebrated paragon he is today, something that is accepted by the morally tolerant Erobreseg Deer herds. Others try to make him "perfect" by editing out his flaws altogether from their stories of him.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: Zigzagged, as this trope can either be played straight or played realistically for drama.
** Temnobog and his children, the Four Terrors, are very big on this, due to their views on the [[GoodNeedsEvil nature]] of [[BalanceBetweenGoodAndEvil evil]]. Even before his reconciliation with Belyolen, his good-hearted twin brother, Temnobog would curse those who he thought deserved it, bringing opposition from Belyolen.
*** Bolezn, one of the Four Terrors, once infiltrated the castle of a Deer Prince while a masquerade party was going on, [[YourCostumeNeedsWork dressed as a plague victim]], which would've been a bad thing to do since the kingdom was being ravaged by a deadly plague outside... that Bolezn himself created to [[KarmicDeath punish]] said kingdom for their blatant disregard for proper hygiene. He also infected everyone inside the castle and made them die slow, agonizing deaths, also a fitting punishment since the Deer Prince in question, Prince Prospero, arrogantly thought he could use Bolezn's plague to KillThePoor, while the local nobility and royalty would rather hide out in Prospero's castle than help their infected subjects. Bolezn does admit later he somewhat regrets crashing Prospero's party since he wanted to join in the festives, but "duty calls, I guess".
** Pakak, being a TricksterGod who embodies Karma, can be pretty brutal when he's punishing the wicked for their crimes, but never more than is deserved by their evil deeds. Just ask the zombified Pony inhabitants of [[VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks Sunnytown.]]
** Being the embodiment of InUniverseCatharsis, Katharsis likes to deliver humiliating LaserGuidedKarma to those who angered her. This does not mean she's a goddess of revenge, as she humiliates villains and other evildoers as a way to [[InUniverseCatharsis bring closure to situations]] and make them look pathetic in front of their victims.
** Changeling King Brachion of the Summer Court is infamous for conducting extremely horrific and unethical experiments on innocent people, save for a few occasions:
*** He utterly destroyed an Alvslog Deer kingdom with an army of Changeling soldiers and biologically-engineered monsters on it, all to pay the xenophobic royal family back for leaving him in a dangerous forest to die for being a dormant Royal Changeling. The rumored things he did to his surrogate family were the stuff of nightmares, from subjecting his surrogate parents to horrific experiments to hunting, ravishing and eating his own surrogate siblings in forms of predatory beasts.
*** After Summer Court agents spotted a purified Changeling in Thorax's hive that turned out to be a Chrysalis-loyalist, they secretly transferred him to Brachion's hive. Brachion proceeded to turn the Changeling traitor into his test subject to see what exactly caused Thorax's ascension into a Royal Changeling.
** Polistes did this twice.
*** After Blackthorn offered a chance to get revenge against the pegasi fanatics who tried to lynch him and his mother, he launched a plan where he secretly warned and evacuating the villagers who had nothing to do with their neighbor's crimes under the guise of "scouting" the place. When Blackthorn's raiders arrived to burn the village to the ground, they found that the place was deserted, save for the pegasi fanatics who were tied and blindfolded.
*** After learning that director Colton Marentino ([[NoCelebritiesWereHarmed a pony verison of]] Creator/QuentinTarantino) was abusing famed Griffon actress, Helga Greywing, and essentially holding her prisoner within her own trailer, Polisties launched the incredibly daring "Stolen Starlet Caper", rescuing Helga under the pretense of a kidnapping while he and his Wild Cards crew were disguised as cameramen. Then, after treating Helga to the celebration of her life on his airship, he helped her stage a dramatic escape that would not only increase her public standing as a hero, but also disgrace and blacklist Marentino after Helga exposed him for the abusive brute he is.
** Prince Blazing Hoof, Golden Scepter's eldest son, wanted to give some Pony Autorists "a harsh yet just punishment" for attacking the Terran Empire and their subjects. However, his father, Golden Scepter, decided to pick a more merciful option by [[EmotionBomb personally showing the Pony Autorists the consequences of their hateful bigotry]], allowing him to weed out the unrepentant from those who displayed genuine remorse. When Blazing Hoof [[CallingTheOldManOut confronted Golden Scepter about it]], assuming the Pony Autorists were EasilyForgiven, Golden Scepter would explain that being harsh to everyone would only beget more hatred, and that it is sometimes best to show mercy to those who were simply misled, as all the Pony Autorists (save their leader, an genuinely unrepentant bigot until the end) were motivated to atone for their horrible actions because of the incident.
** Fanged Paw hated his younger brother, Crimson Star for being an InsufferableGenius, and would get into violent fights with him. After Crimson Star was blinded and fell into depression from both his crippling and his JerkassRealization, Fanged Paw would continue bullying and beating him up as to punish his brother for his actions. It's deconstructed in that his hatred is portrayed as disproportionate and petty, made even worse by the fact that Crimson Star himself believed being injured even further was "well-deserved", [[PayEvilUntoEvil and let those he wronged retaliate against him as they saw fit]]. If Blazing Hoof and Golden Scepter had not intervened, Crimson Star would have ended up dying from sustained injuries.
** Prince Steel Barricade's entry deconstructs it ''hard''.
*** After years of emotionally distancing himself from the atrocities committed by both his foster-father, the king of a Tauren Pony city-state he once stayed in, and several corrupt local nobles, Steel Barricade would end up [[UnstoppableRage snapping]] and brutally murdering them with a [[CarryABigStick large mace]] after luring them all into one room. While the incident did [[BreakTheHaughty shatter his ego]] and finally taught him the value of humility and empathy, he was so horrified by what he had done that his sorrow and guilt would continue to haunt him even after Ascending, and he developed a few psychological issues such as becoming [[TheStoic stoic]] and logical as a defense mechanism whenever he gets anxious and/or upset, an internalized GuiltComplex, and an explosive temper that stems from repressing his emotions all the time. Mentálne is currently helping him get over his trauma by helping him come to terms with his actions and experiences, so he could learn how to forgive himself and be more comfortable with expressing himself openly.
*** He would furiously [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beat up]] a Scion of Hurricane in public after the latter called him a "[[CategoryTraitor disgrace]]" to the Pegasi tribe for Ascending and supporting "traitorous" pegasi like Fiery Flight. It's mentioned that Steel Barricade's brothers had to pull him away before the situation could escalate, and while many claimed the Scion "deserved it", Golden Scepter was [[DisappointedInYou rather disappointed in his son]] for losing his temper despite having no love for tribalists himself.
* PerilousPowerSource:
** What the mysterious [[{{Manga/GetterRobo}} Shinka]] [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equus-Unique-Materials-Energies-Pt-2-855077733 Rays]] - an exotic form of metamagnetic energy - turned out to be following its discovery during the 'Second Age', much to the disappointment and apprehension of those who sought to make it an AppliedPhlebotinum. By all considerations, it is a wonderous PowerSource: its ubiquitous presence across the cosmos makes its availability theoretically unlimited with proper extraction, its high energy potential makes it perfect for energizing any extreme high-performance machineries and technological systems (such as a CombiningMecha), and as a bonus it has beneficial empowering effects to any biological lifeforms with even some '[[EvolutionaryLevels evolutionary potential]]', such as 'Second Age' Ponies. The problem? Shinka Rays are very volatile and unstable even in containment, and its tendency of degrading non-organic metals and materials makes containment a difficult challenge to begin with. And if containment breaks, its catastrophic meltdowns could quite literally ''vaporize whole islands and cities''. And it has a nasty tendency of causing both biological and non-biological stuff to fuse together, causing runaway biological evolutions, and can cause sapient beings who are exposed to too much of its effects to go berserk on top of being empowered by it. It was not until the wonderous magical 'Third Age' tens of thousands of years that Ponykind and others figured out how to properly contain and harness them to their full potential.
* PersonalitySwap: As in G1, Frazzits do this to those they effect.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Many beings of Equus are capable of causing almost apocalyptic amounts of damage whether through their powers, their deeds, or simply by their ''very existence''.
** Diamond Dog Ambassador 'Screaming' Ninny is a hilariously pitiful and shocking example of this trope. He is held up InUniverse as the definitive example of just how dangerous an otherwise ordinary individual could be just by being a stupid, arrogant, bigoted jerkass with too much authority in his claws - As in, 'world-threatening' level of dangerous. To note, he ruined his Underhold in his brief tenures as an incompetent and reactionary royal official, triggered wars and worsened international crises just by being at diplomatic conferences for five minutes, and insulted Dragon Queen Tiamat so badly he nearly caused a world-wrecking conflict between the Dragon and the Diamond Dog races, if not for the voices of reason among mortal/divine Dragonkind calming her incredible wrath.
** A few entries describe Emperor Golden Scepter as an ancient Alicorn god who boasts ''incredible'' power. Because he embodies Psionics, he has far-reaching powers like telepathy and telekinesis; he can [[EmotionBomb psychically affect]] large groups of people with his [[TheEmpath empathy]] (as a group of Pony Autorists learned the hard way), and Prince Crimson Star's entry notes that he's capable of minor [[RealityWarper reality-warping]]. In addition, it's rumored that even before Known History, even the mightiest of Alicornkind couldn't match his potent mind. He's also a powerful [[PlayingWithFire fire mage]] who can [[HolyBurnsEvil purify and destroy corrupt influences with his fires]], which combined with his extraordinary combat skills can make him a ''nightmare'' for demonic individuals and even Fallen deities. Because of this, any attempt to pick a fight with him would almost always end with a CurbStompBattle. However, it's stated in his own entry that he often takes the form of a rather normal-looking Alicorn when among mortals, and the truth is that, like Queen Mzazi, he's a benevolent HumanoidAbomination who is ''much'' more powerful in his true form.
* PetTheDog:
** Despite being an OmnicidalManiac who hates his own people and wants them destroyed, Xestobium shows some degree of kindness to both Polistes and Metamorphosis for being the only two of his brothers he ever actually liked due to being much more noble than their kin.
** Dr. Toxikon chose to spare Thorax and his New Changelings his genocide because of Ember and Thorax's friendship.
** King Brachion was so impressed by Fluttershy's refusal to break from learning the horrible truth about nature that he was willing to sponsor her animal sanctuary, being a Royal Changeling who is rich in bits. He also kept Fluttershy's thank-you letter as a treasured keepsake (as well as one of many closely-guarded secrets).
** While still an InsufferableGenius at the time it happened, Prince Crimson Star, Golden Scepter's eighth son, was willing to go out of his way to save a classmate from an out-of-control carriage, blinding and horribly injuring himself in the process. This one act of kindness would prove instrumental in [[BreakTheHaughty shattering his inflated ego]], allowing him to become a much better person afterwards.
* PhlebotinumKilledTheDinosaurs: In the Codexverse, the end of the Dinosaurs -- both the non-sapient species and sapient races -- over 65 million years ago was the result of not one but a [[NaturalDisasterCascade conga-line of multiple cataclysms and catastrophes]] occurring at roughly similar time-frame, devastating them to the point most of them were wiped out and those that survive either retreated into seclusion or ditched the planet.
** On top of a [[DeathFromAbove comet impact]], another natural ([[AmbiguousSituation maybe]]) disaster from outer space in the form of a cosmic shower of the mysterious [[Manga/GetterRobo Shinka Rays]] caused a mass die-off owing to its utter lethality to the Dinosaurs and other creatures deemed "[[EvolutionaryLevels evolutionarily unfit]]". Some of the unfortunate Dinosaurs suffered the [[CruelAndUnusualDeath truly gruesome demise]] of having their flesh [[ImMelting melt off]] their [[LiterallyShatteredLives shattering bones]].
** [[InYourNatureToDestroyYourselves Internecine conflict]] between the sapient Dinosaur races, factions and civilizations [[HoistByHisOwnPetard caused widespread destruction that greatly weakened them]].
** A plague of Space Kaijus attacks during the twilight of the Dinosaurs were also responsible for devastating their kind. One of those space-kaijus -- a [[Characters/GodzillaTheGhidorahs certain three-headed monster]] -- did quite a number on them in particular.
** A (suspected) Child of the Void, [[spoiler:Fegrð, the Author of Beautiful Ends]], was one of the final nails in the coffin for the Dinosaurs, having arrived 65 million years ago to have the Dinosaurs are wiped out. Given the [[RasputinianDeath last couple of disasters the Dinosaurs already went through]], the last being a particularly nasty space-kaiju, he claims he was there mostly to "[[CoupDeGrace finish the job]]".
* PhilosophersStone: One is created every time someone Ascends to godhood. They have the cataloged abilities of being used for transmutation, extending life, and empowering their user, but also have a broad range of abilities depending on the deity who they were created from. It's noted that, as was believed by some in the real world, anyone capable of creating one in the first place no longer has any need of it, as it can only provide powers the god itself already possessed. The Acension process that creates them is [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/859065132/4904296474 hilariously lampshaded]] at one point.
-->'''Moon Ray Vaughoof:''' So y'mean ta say that ev'ry time some-creature turns into a god, they shit rocks?
* PhysicalGod: An entire section of the Codex is devoted to cataloging these. Deities in the Codexverse are defined by being composed and wielding Primordial Quintessence - magic in its basest, purest form as a primal force of nature.
** The Equestrian Alicorn Princesses are confirmed as such; while they're implied to be younger than the Alicorns still living in the outside world, they're incredibly powerful, and [[AdaptationalBadass much more capable in canon]]. Celestia flash-fried a Kraken attacking Manehattan as soon the opportunity presented itself; and Cadence was able to beat up Fik'iri despite the latter being older than her, since Fik'iri is now her equal in power following her loss and de-powering in the "Abyssinian Divine Coup" event.
** Golden Scepter, a surviving antediluvian Alicorn Emperor from the Alicorn Civilization, is an "Antecedent"-type god, meaning that he's ''extremely'' ancient, and ''extremely'' powerful compared to the newly-Ascended Alicorns of current generations, including his nineteen sons, who are Alicorn demigods. As the Alicorn god of Psionics, he's one of the strongest psychics on Equus, to the point where his entry mentions that even the mightiest Alicorns couldn't hope to match his potent mind. Even one of his mortal Pony generals, [[TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}} General Aurum Lupus]], had to rely on divine empowerment to even confront him during the "Aurum Apostasy" conflict after he [[FaceHeelTurn turned traitor]]. As such, any attempt to fight him will almost always result in an extremely one-sided CurbStompBattle. However, it's stated in his own entry that he often takes the form of a rather normal-looking Alicorn when among mortals, and whenever he needs to go unnoticed, he appears as an unassuming Earth pony stallion named Revelation. Like Queen Mzazi and Isati, he's a benevolent HumanoidAbomination who is ''much'' more powerful in his true form.
** [[Music/ElvisPresley Blue Suede Heartstrings]] is one due to being an [[WingedUnicorn Alicorn]]. It's stated that he has an extremely impressive mastery over music in general, given his origins as a famous musician, and after becoming the god of Music, he's very skilled and creative with it. His domain of Humility gives him telepathy, empathy, and [[{{Seers}} precognition]], and his domain of Performance gives him [[VoluntaryShapeshifting shapeshifting abilities]] and enhanced combat skills thanks to his domain of Performance. Lastly, he is a Love deity who embodies Philia Love, allowing him to see the bonds of friendship that tie mortals and/or divines together. Due to his humble character, though, [[GodInHumanForm he often takes the form of a mortal]], though it's implied that his mortal forms are no slouches, either. His entry notes that he is a "prodigy" deity, which gives him an accelerated rate of physical and magical growth compared to normal deities, and is already showing signs of growing a second pair of wings. And because he was born in the early Second Age, he's ancient enough for people to start making guesses as to what his origins story is.
** Bossa Nova Heartstrings, Blue's older twin brother is one due to being an [[WingedUnicorn Alicorn]]. While he isn't a "[[TheAce prodigy deity]]" like Blue is, being a Death god automatically makes him powerful, as he can [[SpontaneousWeaponCreation summon weapons out of thin air]], appear in multiple places at once, and has power over spirits of the deceased, including the power to free them from whatever is binding them to the mortal planes. His Death domain also gives him both clairvoyance to sense when people are going to die, and [[{{Seers}} psychic foresight]] to predict how people are going to die. His Music domain gives him control over both MagicMusic and [[MakeSomeNoise sound magic]], and he has almost all the same abilities as Blue, who taught him how to use said abilities. His domain of Joy also gives him [[{{Telepathy}} telepathic]] and [[TheEmpath empathic]] abilities that allow him to detect and spread joy, especially among the dying and deceased. As Blue's older twin brother, Bossa Nova is also pretty ancient and is only marginally older than him, though being a Death god who started out as a stillborn foal means that he doesn't have to deal with people constantly guessing his past like Blue does.
** As an "Antecedent"-ranked Zebra goddess, Queen Mzazi is one. As a goddess of Alchemy, she's one of the most powerful alchemists and potion-makers on Equus (and has mentored younger deities who share her domain or partake in the craft). She can generate lightning potent enough to electrocute Giants and Dragons if she chooses, and has created cataclysmic lightning storms for both offense and protection (one imperialistic fleet was wiped out down to its last soldier for trying to invade Zebrica, and Zebrica itself is surrounded by a storm whenever she goes traveling). This comes from being a goddess of Nature, though [=Kendell2=] has stated that she embodies the stormy aspects of it rather than [[GreenThumb plant manipulation]] as Nature-based deities usually have. And due to being extremely ancient, her divine strength is proportionate to her "age" and she is incredibly well-versed in magic in general. As a hallmark of her "age", her true form as a Zebralicorn goddess is a gigantic HumanoidAbomination with a mane and tail composed of lightning storms, wing feathers made of lightning, and a magical wing gradient going from pink to mint-green.
** [[Music/JeffHealey Prince Healing Song]] is one, due to being an Alicorn god from the Second Age. Like Blue Suede Heartstrings, his mentor, Healing Song has an incredible mastery over music, which manifested as the Music domain when he Ascended to godhood. Unlike Blue, though, he is skilled in using its healing/empowering aspects and mostly chooses to do that over using music to attack people. His Potential domain gives Healing Song potent [[{{Seers}} precognitive abilities]] and the ability to empower allies with their future potential, and his Teaching domain gives Healing Song a psychic intuition that allows him to adapt to his students' needs and learning developments. His Psionics domain gives him great psychic abilities like telepathy and psionic telekinesis, and coming under the tutelage of Emperor Golden Scepter and his son, Prince Crimson Star, has given Healing Song new psychic abilities and made him even more powerful. Being a "[[TheAce prodigy deity]]" also makes him stronger compared to "normal" deities in overall power and growth. However, because of his [[MartialPacifist pacifistic beliefs]], Healing Song mostly chooses to serve a healing/support role and only uses his offensive abilities when necessary, though this has prevented him from fighting effectively at times.
** As an Alicorn, Prince Sparkling Wing is one, despite being one of the younger members of the Church. Notably, he is skilled with [[WeatherManipulation weather magic]], a powerful [[TheEmpath empath]], and can [[SuperEmpowering empower mortals]] and forge temporary bonds that allow them to share each other's abilities [[ThePowerOfFriendship based on how deep they trust each other]].
** As an Alicorn god from the Second Age, [[Music/StevieRayVaughan Moon Ray Vaughoof]] is this. Being a Death god automatically made him pretty powerful, but he also embodies Water, with the unique ability to heal people by eliminating poisons and purify most types of pollution. And through Forgiveness, he can nullify magically-binding contracts and wrongful punishments, and heal physical/mental/emotional wounds, and kill magical/psychic entities that thrive on and encourage negative emotions like hatred. It's also noted that outside of his domains, he is a powerful psychic who specializes in [[{{Seers}} precognition]], but after Ascending, his domains greatly enhanced his abilities despite not embodying Psionics. What factors into his magical growth is his status as a "[[TheAce prodigy deity]]", which makes him one of the more powerful members of the Trimortidae.
* ThePigPen: The Changeling Queen Pentatomidae and her ''entire hive'' are this. Pentatomidae told her mother that when she was queen, she'd never make her hive take baths. [[ExactWords She wasn't joking]]. They smell so bad they can make an unprepared pony pass out, and Moufette couldn't stand her despite being a skunk.
* PintsizedPowerhouse:
** Queen Mab II, the Mother Goddess of the Breezies, isn't much bigger, being as big compared to them as Celestia is to a normal pony. A Yak king assumed her small size meant she was weak. He was promptly suplexed straight through the floor. Tiny or not, she's still a Goddess.
** King Sefyr, Mab II's husband and Father God of the Breezies, is also as small as his wife, but he's a powerful wind deity who at his strongest can create devastating wind-based storms, and is fast enough to ''run through people''. However, [[MoreDeadlyThanTheMale he considers Mab II to be more powerful as her flower magic is more useful and versatile in any given situation]].
** Queen Mab I, the mother of Mab II, is a small Fae goddess who not only had a nature-based portfolio, she could also wield Chaos magic like Discord. Her insanity makes her an extremely dangerous foe, using her powers to inflict [[ForcedTransformation horrific transformations]], [[RealityWarper warp reality to her whims]], and cause [[ButterflyOfDoom "domino effects"]] that lead to utterly catastrophic disasters for anyone who tries to go after her. It took ''every'' Fae to seal her the first time, and it took ''even more'' people to defeat her the second time.
* PlayingWithFire: Several divine/mortal individuals can wield fire magic.
** Implied with Noble Grace, as her entry describes her as knowing fire magic.
** Golden Scepter is stated by his entry to be a very skilled fire mage. Unlike most mortals and divines, he wields [[HolyBurnsEvil holy fire]], which is capable of healing by burning away impurities and accelerate physical healing through heat, and purging targets of corrupt influences. This power proved incredibly handy in saving the Void Traveler's victims from DemonicPossession in the Second Age, and helped free various people from the thrall of Ispita the Deceiver and her various children/allies in the Fourth Age. He is famous for channeling this power through his trusty [[CoolSword divine sword]], which would be named ''[[NamedWeapon Fireslayer]], and passing on a portion of his power onto it so anyone else, divine or mortal, could wield it during a time of need.
** Yarost, Temnobog's eldest son and child, is a skilled and powerful fire mage, which is rather appropriate [[PersonalityPowers since he embodies Deerkind's Fury and Hatred]]. Among his capabilities are {{Fireballs}}, [[BreathWeapon fire breath]], surrounding himself with heat, and summoning pillars of flame. When extremely angry, he [[BurningWithAnger covers himself in flames]]. It's noted by his entry that [[EmotionalPowers his fire magic is tied to his emotions]], so by constantly repressing his emotions, Yarost can control it better.
* PocketDimension:
** The stomach of giants and gods qualify, being massive, sprawling places that somehow fit inside them due to magic. Gods fit this more strongly as they're hinted at to be full on {{Eldritch Location}}s.
** Secret Surprise Ponies possess a mutation that causes a pouch to form on their back with a pocket dimension inside it. This can be used to hold nearly anything, including other ponies.
* {{Polyamory}}: Polyamory is common among deities in this setting, who tend to have ImmortalityBisexuality due to factors like [[BlueAndOrangeMorality having different perspectives on relationships and being compelled by the domains they embodied]].
** [[{{Seers}} Prince Stella Fictor Cahaya]], following his reconciliation with Golden Scepter in the Third Age, entered a polyamorous marriageg with both Golden Scepter and Midday Messenger in the Fourth Age after surviving Alicorn Civilization remnants finally made contact with the outside world. While Stella loves both Golden Scepter and Midday and is willing to share Golden Scepter with her, he only loves Midday platonically [[IncompatibleOrientation due to being gay]]. This ends up having huge public and personal repercussions -- especially for Stella, whose relationship with Golden Scepter's sons, the Terran Princes, changed from HonoraryUncle to am [[ParentWithNewParamour official stepfather]].
** [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Radiant E. O. Speedwagon]] (now [[MeaningfulRename Arch-Prince Rhinwedd Llachar Grittin]]) ends up marrying both Gifted Goldstar and his wife, Shining Settlement, after the two of them offered to include him in their relationship. While this was treated as scandalous in their time, both Gifted and Shining had since realized the social norms they grew up with were incredibly bigoted and toxic, and wanted to give their old friend a respite from all the suffering he went through for the greater good. The three of them have since become a loving polycule, but due to his past traumas, Speedwagon sometimes [[InsecureLoveInterest wonders if he really is worthy of Gifted and Shining's love or not]].
** [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/914602463/4991930210 At one point]], both Blue Suede/Caerulus and his husband, Stoltur, discovered their marriage was deteriorating because they each were denying their own divine natures in order to stay together. After talking it over, they decided to have an open marriage, taking in multiple lovers and sharing them with each other. Despite concerns, this actually ''improved'' their relationship, as having an open marriage allowed them to fulfill their domains in constructive ways while still remaining devoted to each other. One of their more notable partners is Queen Peínagápia, a constructively evil member of the [[LoveGoddess Amaredae]].
** It's noted that this is somewhat common among dragons. [[VisualNovel/AngelsWithScalyWings Aerri]] openly admits she's one of the dragons who favors it, and has been in open romantic relationships before. However, despite being heavily implied to have romantic feelings for Shining Dove, she knows this isn't the case with him or his wife Edel. As such, she [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy respects it and even provides potions to aid their relationship.]]
* PoweredArmor:
** As noted in King Strazha and Princess Laska's entries, Knightmare Frames are pilotable "magical power armor" that come with various capabilities. Strazha has been described as being an excellent pilot who has used Knightmare Frames on several occasions, while Princess Laska's Knightmare Frame, ''Okhranyat'', has the ability to [[BarrierWarrior produce strong barriers]] and [[HealingHands healing domes]] for her allies.
** Implied with Golden Scepter's sons. If their entries are to go by, all nineteen Terran princes has their own suit of magical powered armor, which increases their physical capabilities tenfold and makes them much more powerful than they naturally are as demi-Alicorn gods.
* PowerGivesYouWings:
** Naturally, [[DeityOfHumanOrigin becoming an Alicorn]] (if you don't have wings already) gives you this. However, according to Mzazi, the Mother of All Zebra and a Zebralicorn, once they get old enough Alicorns and their derivatives grow additional sets of wings with age. Luminiferous is at the age when he'll begin to grow his second set (being several hundred thousand), while Mzazi has eight wings due to being 4 million years old. Before that, they get a gradient to them (which both Mzazi and Luminiferous possess), with Cadence's gradient and the one Twilight gets in Rainbow Power being indicators of them having extraordinary potential. Ascending Dawn and Golden Scepter, both older Alicorns, have six wings and are both on their way to develop a fourth pair due to being "[[TheAce prodigy]]" deities, while Equus, the Alicorn progenitor of sapient Equinekind, also has eight like Mzazi.
** In an inversion, the villainous unicorn trio Decepticolt, Zappityhoof, and Goldencap believed that ''wings'' would give them power, and to fulfill their goal of becoming Alicorns, they stole Rainbow Dash's wings by secretly amputating them for their own use. This ''enraged'' Princess Twilight Sparkle, who sealed/stripped their magic indefinitely as punishment for their actions.
* ThePowerOfLove:
** Golden Scepter believes that empathy is the best and most powerful weapon one can have in times where paranoia, hatred, violence, and suffering are prevalent. He explains this to Sparkling Wing after the latter notices how [[TheEmpath psychic empathy]] is becoming an extremely common ability to wield all over Equus.
** Elske, the Jotunn goddess of Love, also believes in this. After crushing Propagare's cultists underneath her hooves for trying to start a war between two Deer realms, she used her empathy to inspire passionate love to eliminate the hatred and discord in the area completely. Her entry quote also has her say, "And that's why love conquers all."
* ThePrankster:
** Bossa Nova Heartstrings' entry notes that he's a prankster who enjoys playing practical jokes on people, but generally he never goes too far. He has sometimes used his Death domain to make himself appear as Blue and pretend to be him, something that Blue himself is not amused with. This personality trait is what endeared him to Amina, the Griffon goddess of Selfless Love, as she has a similarly mischievous sense of humor.
** Amina herself has a mischievous side, and likes playing small practical jokes and making goofy faces. This makes her popular and beloved among children.
* {{Precursors}}: All over the place. Since Codex Equus covers all canonical Generations of MLP settings, many societies and civilizations of the earlier Ages of Known History plays this to those of later Ages, and sometimes [[RecursivePrecursors Precursors plays this role to other Precursors]]. And that's not counting those that exist BEFORE Known History when all records are apocryphal and evidence are paleoarchaeological at best. Given the sheer scales of the setting, which [[TimeAbyss covers up to BILLIONS of years of Deep Time]], [[RecursivePrecursors many]], ''[[LookOnMyWorksYeMightyAndDespair many]]'', '''''many''''' precursor civilizations had [[TheCycleOfEmpires risen and fallen]] well before Ponykind had its very first civilizations or even EXISTED. Incidentally, all this plays into [[CentralTheme central themes and tones]] of [[ViciousCycle Vicious Cycles]] and [[MonoNoAware the ultimate transience/fragility of all things]].
** The venerable Alicorn Civilization was not the only one of its time -- in its heyday, it coexisted with, among many others, the '[[TheFairFolk Empire of the Fae]]' ruled by Queen Mab I, the '[[OurDragonsAreDifferent Grand Tianlong Dynasty]]' in the eastern continents, the "Halfblood Empire" founded by King [[FirstOfItsKind Miracle Wing]] / [[DeityOfHumanOrigin Ibrida]], the '[[BigCreepyCrawlies Cephalothoraxian Mediumocracies]]', the '[[BeePeople Anthophilan Hiveswarms]]', just to name a few. Despite the great heights they've risen to, many of them would decline and eventually be destroyed by decadence, civil war and other catastrophes.
** The First Age have among other civilizations 'Paradise Estate', which at some point became [[HegemonicEmpire an expansionist but apparently still benevolent]] '[[MeaningfulName Paradise EMPIRE]]' led by [[TheEmpress Megann Wilms, the Rainbow Empress]] and the 'Pony not of Ponykind', her human siblings Dennis and Molli, and Ponies of Paradise Estate. They at one point had to contend with among others such as the '[[GadgeteerGenius Mechanical]] [[MadScientist Dominions]] of the [[ManiacMonkeys Gizmonks]]', the dreaded 'Tambelon Empire' ruled by the necromancer god-king Grogar; the '[[TheEmpire Ice-Empire of the Emperor Penguins]]' led by the [[BirdPeople Charlatan Dynasty]] in [[MysteriousAntarctica Notusia]], just to name a few.
** The Second Age, which is a technological era with little magic, we have familiar nations that became mythical in later Ages; the '[[{{UsefulNotes/TheUnitedStates}} Federal Republic of Ponyland]]', the '[[{{UsefulNotes/SovietRussiaUkraineAndSoOn}} Union of Sovereign Hooviet Republics]]' (Which was later remembered as the 'Empire of Ushr' and its people 'Ushrites'), the '[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco-British_Union#World_War_II_(1940) Pranco]]-[[{{UsefulNotes/TheBritishEmpire}} Bitish]] Commonwealth' from a union of the Prance and the Bitish Isles/Isle of Pony, and several others. The Tales Seven lived in Ponyland. Early in that Age, though, there were more mythical ([[RealAfterAll or not]]) civilizations or realms such as [[{{Camelot}} Friendship Garden]], ruled from [[WorldsStrongestMan Queen Majesty]] to [[Myth/KingArthur Queen Sunsparkle]] and served as the predecessors to the Isle of Pony and the Bitish Empire.
** [WIP]
* PrincessesRule:
** A double-subversion with the Crystal Empire, back when it was actually an empire. The official title was "Empress/Emperor", but in recent history it switched to a Princess system, which explains why Princess Cadence rules over the empire despite being... well, a Princess.
** The Equestrian Princesses, Celestia and her younger sister Luna, and Twilight all officially rule Equestria. Justified in that "Princess" is the highest official title in Equestria.
* ProperlyParanoid:
** Scarlet Bell feared the idea of Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker retaliating against her for ruining their work as a filly, which became one of the reasons why she moved to the Grittish Isles and settled down for a quiet life. Years later, after her grandniece, Midnight Bell, ran off alone to save Page Wheel, she quickly learned that she was right to be fearful, as Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker were also in the same country ''by [[ContrivedCoincidence sheer coincidence]]''.
** The Reichist high command grew paranoid that [[MadeOfEvil Herrenvolk]], the AnthropomorphicPersonification of their very ideology comparable to Metamare in power, as someone so powerful, ruthless, charismatic, and fixated on 'purity' and 'worthiness' as he was could easily slaughter them all, take over, and convince the populace it was right if he wanted to. Come the war's twilight months when he gets fed up with their bickering, [[EvilIsNotAToy that's exactly what happens.]]
* PseudocanonicalFic: ''Codex Equus'' is essentially this, with a heavy dose of WorldBuilding and FixFic. While it's set in the world of ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'', it combines various elements from both the entire ''Franchise/MyLittlePony'' franchise itself and other media, creating a greatly-expanded universe. It also deconstructs, reconstructs, and subverts certain tropes from canon to make the overall story and setting seem believable.
* PsychicPowers: Many individuals, both mortal and divine, wield this brand of magic, with varying degrees of power.
** Emperor Golden Scepter is the Alicorn god of Psionics, so naturally he's a master at this. Some of his powers include [[MindOverMatter telekinesis]], teleportation, telepathy, [[BarrierWarrior psychic barriers]], [[TheEmpath empathy]], precognition and retrocognition. It's noted that he's so powerful that one of his Imperium-era Generals, Aurum Lupus, was rumored to have relied on divine empowerment in order to beat and nearly kill him at all, and it was rumored that even the mightiest of Alicorns couldn't match his potent mind. The Imperium of Ponykind also had the largest numbers of psychic ponies thanks to his influence, and he intends to do it again in the Fourth Age.
** Many of Golden Scepter's SemiDivine sons inherited some facet of his power from him, to varying degrees.
*** Prince Written Word has {{Telepathy}} and [[TheEmpath empathy]]. It's implied that these powers are what allowed him discern the sins of a corrupt arch-priest during his stay in a backwater Pony kingdom, as he would call him a "liar" shortly after encountering him. After he became an demi-Alicorn god and became the living embodiment of Truth, his telepathic and empathic abilities were enhanced tenfold to the point where he can invoke confessions, and [[DetectEvil see people as living corpses the more evil and insidious they are]].
*** Much like his father, Prince Crimson Star embodies Psionics, and is believed in-universe to be a living representation of Golden Scepter's psionic talent. His entry notes that while he does have the same far-reaching abilities as his father, such as telepathy, telekinesis, empathy, and teleportation, he's able to take his powers to new heights because of his drive to see how far he can go. As such, he became capable of astral projection, [[PowerOfTheVoid creating black holes]] to suck in and devour his enemies, firing beams of pure psychic energy, and summoning bolts of psychic lightning. Because of his potential and incredible skill, it is believed that he might end up equaling or surpassing Golden Scepter, who is a powerful psychic himself, once he gets "older".
*** Much like [[TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 Primarch Sanguinius]], Prince Bright Eyes has precognitive abilities, except as the Alicorn demigod of Prophecy, his foresight is on a greater scale than those possessed by even his older brother, Crimson Star. His entry notes that he is skilled in psionic magic, bearing abilities like telepathy and psionic telekinesis, though he admits that Crimson Star is more powerful than him. His psychic powers allowed him to hear Rosy Dreams' telepathic cries for help, though he and Written Word had to be guided to Rosy's home by the spirit of Dust Bunny, Rosy's maid, in order to rescue the filly from [[AbusiveParents Sweet Words]].
*** As part of his domain of Animals, Prince Fanged Paw has [[{{Telepathy}} telepathic]] and [[TheEmpath empathic]] abilities that allow him to form {{Psychic Link}}s with one or more animals so he can [[AnimalEyeSpy see and hear through them]], as well as calm and tame even the most ferocious beasts and monsters.
*** Prince Night Shade has telepathy, psionic telekinesis, empathy, and precognition thanks to being one of Golden Scepter's sons and being taught by his father in using psionic magic when he was very young. Having domains like Justice, Protection, and Karma bolstered the strength of his psychic powers even further.
*** Prince Red Blade has psionic telekinesis that was taught to him by Golden Scepter, which proves incredibly useful if for some reason he can't use the magical telekinesis that is extremely common among unicorns. And as the Alicorn demigod of Temperance, he has telepathic and empathic abilities that allow him to ebb negative emotions and discourage harmful mindsets, and like Blue Suede Heartstrings, the Alicorn god of Humility, he possesses a form of precognition that shows him a person's future depending on the actions they take.
** While the full scope of her powers are currently unknown due to her very young age, Mentálne, the Bogolenya Deer goddess of Psychology, has telepathy and telekinesis, the latter which is purely mental unlike the typical kind used by Deerkind and Draconequui. She also has the impressive ability to create a psychic realm that serves as an impromptu counselor's office, in which her patients can talk things out and even vent their repressed feelings on psychic dummies created out of psychic energy.
** As the Llama goddess of Enlightenment, Satori possesses extrasensory perception, AstralProjection, and telepathy.
** Canteros, Amareros' firstborn son and the ancient god of Requited Love and Reconciliation, has these. His Love domains grant him empathy as well as precognition and retrocognition to a degree (through looking at "love ropes" that connect people), while his Reconciliation domain grants him telepathy and stronger precognition.
** High King Irminsul has strong psychic powers that are enhanced by his divine domain of Deerkind, such as telekinesis, telepathy, empathy, and precognition. However, he pales in comparison to Golden Scepter, who is not only far older than him, but also embodies Psionics and was born a "[[TheAce prodigy deity]]", making him a far more powerful psychic.
** Prince Stoltur Skjöldur, one of Pokhot's many divine and demi-divine children, has empathy and precognition, both of which he inherited from his mother.
** Being the Alicorn god of Humility, Blue Suede Heartstrings has telepathic and empathic powers that allow him to detect dangerously swelled egos and encourage humility in people. He also has [[{{Seers}} precognitive abilities]] that predict a person's future based on their moral actions, allowing him to redeem those with unchecked pride by warning them of the consequences of their actions. After he became a student of various Virtue and Psionic deities, his psychic powers were boosted to where he can moderate levels of humility in others and predict what will happen if people became ''too'' humble like he once did.
** Silver Bane, a {{Dhampyr}} and former Poenan champion, is noted to be a talented psychic with far-reaching {{Telepathy}} and [[MindOverMatter telekinesis]]. After studying under the monks/disciples of Satori, he learned the "telepathic calming" technique, where he can telepathically calm feelings of anxiety and hostility in a person.
** Crystal Prism, the Alicorn demigod of Rebirth and Change, has telepathy (which he uses to control butterflies), precognitive empathy, and can cast light-based illusions. He also has the same telekinetic magic that he had when he was Page Wheel the unicorn colt.
** Blue Suede Heartstrings' older identical twin brother, Bossa Nova Heartstrings, has these as well. As part of his domain of Joy, he has telepathic and empathic powers that allow him to detect and spread joy. And due to being a Death god, he has clairvoyant powers in the form of [[SpiderSense sensing impending deaths]] and precognition in predicting how a person is going to die, which just motivates him to spread joy and comfort to the dead however he can.
** After years of being used as a SpellBlade by Silver Bane, her "master" and eventual [[ParentalSubstitute father figure]], Mercy ended up developing the same telepathic and telekinetic powers as her first wielder.
** Much like his parents, Kúzelník has psychic powers as part of his Sorcery domain, such as telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation, and empathy. He can do AstralProjection for certain attacks, though that leaves him vulnerable to threats designed to attack astral beings. He also has Irminsul's precognitive abilities, which he inherited from his father. By his own admission, though, he believes that his friend, Prince Crimson Star, is the better psychic among them due to embodying Psionics and being more adept with his powers. He is also dwarfed by Crimson Star's father, Golden Scepter, who also embodies Psionics but is much more ancient and powerful.
** Kúzelník's older brother, Cernunnos, has telepathic and empathic abilities like his parents, though this is because he inherited his domain of Animals from his father.
** High Queen Arvan, Irminsul's wife, has powerful psychic abilities and has almost the same techniques as him, though she lacks his [[{{Seers}} foresight]] and is more skilled in utilizing psychic empathy and telepathy. Notably, she is capable of "[[EmotionBomb emotion-bombing]]" by showing her enemies the suffering they have caused their victims and is quite experienced in controlling how long it would last, usually to punish them for their misdeeds. However, she still pales in comparison to [[GodEmperor Golden Scepter]], who embodies Psionics and is a "[[TheAce prodigy deity]]" in addition to being much older than her.
** As the Alicorn god of Psionics, [[Music/JeffHealey Prince Healing Song]] has great psychic powers like {{Telepathy}}, psionic telekinesis, and empathy, but he is dwarfed in power by the likes of Emperor Golden Scepter and Prince Crimson Star. Both Golden Scepter and Crimson Star would teach him how to hone his powers, gaining new abilities like AstralProjection and [[ShockAndAwe psionic lightning]], but Healing Song, due to his pacifism, recognizes the dangerous aspects of his domain and has applied his powers for supportive, mundane purposes instead, such as using his astral form to teach/help more students and using telepathy for long-range communication. It is believed InUniverse that Healing Song's Psionics domain came about because his innate psychic potential went unused for years due to his unawareness of it; when he Ascended to godhood, his psychic potential manifested as the Psionics domain.
** Moon Ray Vaughoof is a powerful psychic who specializes in [[{{Seers}} precognition]], and his Ascension enhanced his prophetic dreams to the point where they're more potent than Bossa Nova's. Training under the Three Deaths led to him manifesting other psychic abilities like [[MindOverMatter psionic telekinesis]], telepathy, and [[TheEmpath empathy]], the latter two which his Temperance and Forgiveness domains enhance. Moon Ray's Death domain also gives him [[SpiderSense clairvoyance]] that allows him to sense people's impending deaths. Later, after letting go of his past and overcoming all of his flaws and traumas, he manifests the Prophecy domain, which enhances his precognition (at the cost of [[FaintingSeer making him prone to sleep]]), and grants him the ability to predict the future via hydromancy. His psychic powers have also gotten stronger overall; he started developing [[MakingASplash water-based psychic attacks]] under the tutelage of Golden Scepter.
** While his Magic domain grants him accessibility to multiple different branches of magic, Prince Varázsló has a strong inclination towards psionic magic in general. His Knowledge and Hope domains give him additional telepathic and empathic powers, and his Fate domain makes him a strong precognitive.
** It's theorized InUniverse that as a god of Deerkind, [[spoiler:High King Bogolenya]] would have had strong psychic powers like his father Irminsul, as like [[spoiler:his living halves, Belyolen and Temnobog]], he possesses strong empathy and clairvoyant powers. Telepathy is included as a possible addition. However, it's noted that even so, he still would have been outranked in power and experience by Golden Scepter, who embodies Psionics and is an ancient "[[TheAce prodigy deity]]".
** Phoenix King Naur, one of two co-rulers of the Caearnarian Deer Pantheon, has [[PlayingWithFire pyromantic]] [[{{Seers}} divination]], telepathy, empathy, and StealthyTeleportation.
** Shifa' Alhabi Moufette's domains give her [[{{Telepathy}} telepathic]] and [[TheEmpath empathic]] powers, as well as [[{{Seers}} precognition and retrocognition]]. Under Moon Ray's tutelage, she has manifested other psychic abilities such as psychic telekinesis and teleportation, both of which have proven to be extremely useful.
** Duchess Vyléčit's domain of Doctors gives her [[{{Telepathy}} telepathic]] and [[MindOverMatter telekinetic]] abilities.
** Through his domains of Temperance and Potential, Prince Perfect Tone has inklings of [[TheEmpath empathy]] and [[{{Seers}} precognition]], respectively. It's believed by his fathers and others that his domain of Dreams also gives him some degree of psychic ability that allows him to sense the dreams of others.
** Princep Indicum Occento's Sorcery domain gives them psychic powers like telepathy, psionic telekinesis, empathy, clairvoyance (both its precognitive and retrocognitive aspects), and teleportation. However, it's noted they're not as powerful as purely psychic deities such as Emperor Golden Scepter, or those who embody a specific psychic domain like Moon Ray Vaughoof/Canticum Lunae Cahaya, who embodies Prophecy.
** Princess Winter Opera's Dark Magic domain gives her psychic powers like telepathy, empathy, teleportation, and psionic telekinesis, though it's noted that she's less powerful than purely psychic deities like Mentálne and Emperor Golden Scepter.
** Prince Crystal Clear's domain of Stage Crews gives him telepathic, empathic, and telekinetic abilities that allow him to communicate with his co-workers and do his job effectively. It also gives him [[{{Seers}} precognitive abilities]] that allows him to sense danger so he can plan ahead and protect his co-workers, and a psychic intuition regarding his co-workers/crews' skillsets and talents. His Technology domain, meanwhile, gives him psychic knowledge of the inner workings of any machine, whether they're built by himself or someone else, which includes flaws and glitches.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis:
** Moon Ray Vaughoof does this twice.
*** When he forgives [[AbusiveParents Sunny Mane Vaughoof]] for his foalhood abuse, he repeats himself by punctuating his words in case his father's spirit decides to ignore him. It worked, as it's heavily speculated InUniverse that Sunny Mane was left shaken upon being forgiven by one of his sons who he once terrorized.
----> '''Moon Ray Vaughoof:''' ''(to Sunny Mane)'' And if you think you can just shut me out, I'll say it again and again: I forgive you, Pops. '''''I. Forgive. You.'''''
*** Sometime after becoming a Prince, he catches his adoptive daugther, Ruya Clearfeather, stealing a MagicStaff from a local shop, he repeatedly orders her to put it back, to which Ruya responds with excuses to justify her theft. He shortly gets fed up and resorts to punctuating his orders while giving her a DeathGlare, scaring Ruya into finally returning the stolen staff.
----> '''Prince Canticum Lunae Cahaya:''' Put. The staff. Back. '''''Now.'''''
* ThePurge: Throughout the Codexverse mass removals of 'undesirable' and/or 'dangerous' elements in groups, institutions and societies conducted by both heroic and villainous factions alike had occurred, and depending on circumstances had either been portrayed as a 'Necessary Evil' or something which further enhances the abhorrence of the villain, being differentiated by necessity and targets.
** Genocides like the colonial massacres of the natives in the 19th Century and the Holocaust of the Second Great War are still view as evil and abhorrent, given and especially the slaughtered victims did nothing to deserve it, and serve to hightlight how evil the villains like the Reichists are - even on the rare occasions it is conducted by heroes against malignant nations and worlds, it is clearly stated to be done reluctantly, without malice, and only as an absolute last resort when all else fails.
*** The Reichists of the Second Age and Autorists and Tribalists of the Fourth Age both desired to purge those they deemed to be inferior or threat to their nations'/races' supremacy on a racial and political level.
** Classicide and Politicide, on the other hoof, are considered far more acceptable, mostly upon the [[PrivilegeMakesYouEvil upper classes]], [[CorruptCorporateExecutive big businessmanes]] and [[AristocratsAreEvil aristocracy]], since corruption and subversion of society by political and economic elites are portrayed as a much bigger and more dangerous problem then in RealLife by supporting coups against legitimate governments, opposing socio-economic reforms and even consorting with far worse forces of evil like Demons, while factions which hate them on principle such as the Communists in the Second Age and the Clovenists in the Fourth Age are much more successful, powerful and functional than their analogues in RealLife. It goes to the point that while most people would be horrified by ethnic cleansings, you can expect them to cheer at the mass arrests and executions of the rich and powerful.
*** One notable example of this include the crackdown which occurred in Second Age Ponyland after a corporate-military cabal tried to overthrow the Moosepelt Administration in the 'Wall Street Coup'.
*** After years to decades of diminishing patience with the growing corruption, complacency and conservatism of the Equestrian political and economic elites, the Equestrian Crowns [[spoiler:initiated a massive purge of every corrupt, power-mad, prejudiced and reactionary noble in Equestrian high society as well as corrupt wealthy corporates and extremist political radicals following the failed '[[TheCoup Canterlot Coup]]' that precipitated the '[[HistoryRepeats Second Equestrian]] [[CivilWar Civil War]]'. The [[GoodIsNotSoft more]] [[AntiHero hardline]] Alicorn (Ex-)Princess Luna, the Nightbringer had desired to do this a ''lot'' sooner and had been the one pushing and organizing it to happen]].
--> '''[[spoiler:[[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/841979331/4857262694 Luna:]]]]''' [[spoiler:The time has come. [[ShoutOut Execute]] [[{{Film/RevengeOfTheSith}} Operation Sixty-Six]]]].
* PyrrhicVictory: The Crystal Empire managed to win victories against the Giants during their war with Queen Colossos' Empire 1,500 years ago, but many of them were wrought at a heavy cost. And it is all but stated at the start that they didn't even ''win'' it, merely surviving the onslaught, and the fallout of which would [[VestigialEmpire lead to their downfall]].
** Noble Grace would lose everything twice because of interference from the Bell family, specifically Scarlet Bell and her grandniece, Midnight Bell, because they opposed her well-meaning yet horrific actions - she lost the resources and notes to continue her experiments, lost the magic that kept her young and was also one of her greatest assets, and would end up being exposed as an untrustworthy and villainous adult in the eyes of the public because of the harm she had caused. And while her experiments did result in Page Wheel becoming an Alicorn, she would never be able to enjoy the fruits of her labors as she was arrested, and her intentions of heralding a "new age" for Ponykind will ultimately be for naught as Page Wheel, now Crystal Prism, [[ScrewDestiny was encouraged to forge his own path]] and now encourages Rebirth and Change through helping people deal with stressful situations and improving themselves.
