!The Main Cast
[[folder:Cyril]]
!!Cyril
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cyril.png]]
Our polite protagonist who was reborn into the world of a game he played and at a very young age, decided to dedicate his life to protecting Sophia as her personal servant. He is from a world with both advanced science and magic, and has many talents carried over from it. He excels at taking proactive steps and planning ahead, but he also tends to overthink things.
----
* TheAce: Skilled enough so that he has to sabotage his test score in order for Sophia to give the entry speech instead of him. As for his reputation, with the handicap of him being a mere servant, it takes a while but he does eventually fit in that regard.
* BattleButler: He’s also Sophia’s bodyguard, but he prefers to pro-actively deal with issues before they come to violence.
* TheCharmer: Smooth as butter with the opposite sex.
* ChickMagnet: Turns more and more into one of these as time goes on.
* DeclarationOfProtection: When he first met Sophia, and he takes it very seriously. The problem is that she [[ChildhoodMarriagePromise took it in a different way]]…
* ExplainExplainOhCrap: Cyril has this reaction when he realizes his actions to have Sophia and Alforth get together instead caused both Sophia and Alicia to fall for him.
* FamedInStory: Sophia puts a great deal of effort into making Cyril famous, to suit her long term plans to ennoble him, so that it’d be possible for the two to marry. Ironically, the biggest events to increase his fame end up being things outside of her control or ability to predict.
* GuileHero: He mostly uses cunning, wits, and connections to solve his problems, instead of force.
* HijackedDestiny: He accidentally does this to Prince Alforth regarding Alicia’s love. It later turns out that he also did this to an extent to Sophia’s older brother without a clue as he hadn’t played the game’s expansion.
* HonestAdvisor: Cyril acts as this for Sophia and others. For those he’s assigned to tutor, it can overlap with SadistTeacher.
* KidAnova: Gets accused of being this. He mostly just flirts with Sophia and Alicia… mostly.
* LadyAndKnight: The Knight to Sophia’s Lady.
* LegacyOfService: His father Cedric was (and still is) Marquess Grave’s butler.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: In addition to being a competent butler, his father's POV chapter reveals he too was a CluelessChickMagnet, if his wife's words are to go by.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: About the BenevolentConspiracy spearheaded by Sophia to make him a noble so that the two can marry, although it’s likely he’s at least suspected it.
* NextLifeAsAFictionalCharacter: He was an unnamed otaku reborn as the boy who would become the villainess' butler, who would be executed as an accomplice. Using his knowledge of future events, and wanting to avoid his death, he becomes her butler much earlier and gets rid of events that would cause her to become the villainess in the first place.
* ObliviousToLove: Despite his analytical thinking, he is unable to figure out why she had him be her escort. This position is only supposed to be for a family member or a lover. He chalks it up to her just wanting an escort she could trust rather than the blatantly obvious fact that she is in love with him. It takes her using the phrase '''"Why won't you look at me?"''' for him to realize her feelings for him.
* PennyAmongDiamonds: Cyril is not just a commoner, but a servant too, meaning there are even more strict restrictions on his behavior. So this trope is heavily woven into the work, pointing out all the everyday things people say that he and other servants aren’t allowed to. The classes in the academy are actually segregated into Noble, Common, and Servant courses, but of course most of who Cyril interacts with are nobles and he’s always walking on a tightrope.
* PhraseCatcher: People questioning him if he’s really his physical age.
* PrivateTutor: He doubled as this for Sophia, and does it for others over the course of the story as well.
* RenaissanceMan: Has a little bit of talent in everything it seems. In his day to day life, he’s a servant, chef, bodyguard, student, leader, and tutor.
* RomanticWingman: He started out trying to do this for Sophia and Alforth, until it became apparent that she wasn’t interested in him. He still holds on to the possibility of her falling for someone else besides himself and supporting her in that.
* RoyalFavorite: The favor of Sophia and eventually certain others allows him to get away with talking brazenly and critically in situations a servant normally would be endangering themselves by doing so.
* SadistTeacher: With those he tutors. Libert feels some sympathy for Sophia facing Cyril's BrutalHonesty, but she jokes that [[{{Unishment}} she’d prefer if he was even harsher.]]
* SoProudOfYou: Has a lot of these moments for Sophia but also others.
* SupremeChef: Is known for his genius culinary inventions in-universe, but that’s mostly due to PastLifeMemories. Sophia takes advantage of this to create a faction initially consisting of girls desperate to try out his tea and sweets.
* TeamDad: Very much so.
* TheTease: When interacting with Sophia and Alicia. He really enjoys their flustered and embarrassed expressions.
* ThroughHerStomach: Cyril often does this for Sophia but also servants and friends to reward them or help them deal with stress. He’s almost like a doting grandparent in that regard.
* ThrowingTheFight: He deliberately asks for his Dancing Grade to be cut in half after catching an exhausted girl who collapsed so as to make sure Sophia is the one to make the speech. The fact his grade was cut to "51" meant that he was going to get a score of 102.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Cyril's father notes he matured too fast just barely after learning to speak and knows things he shouldn't.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Sophia. He almost seems to have a romanticized image in his head of dying to protect her.
* VillainsActHeroesReact: Averted, Cyril is a very proactive hero.
* XanatosGambit: He makes plans for everything daily to protect Sophia, even if it requires sacrificing himself in the process.

[[folder:Sophia Rosenberg]]
!!Sophia Rosenberg
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sophia_rosenberg.png]]
The eponymous villainous daughter, who Cyril has worked tirelessly to steer away from her dark path, and lead her away from ruin. She is kind, rational, and intelligent, but where Cyril is concerned, nothing's off the table. She uses words and schemes as her primary weapons, but deep inside there is always darkness lurking.
----
* TheAce: As far as others are concerned. As far as she is concerned, she’s AlwaysSecondBest to Cyril. During the entrance exam, violin was the one thing she thought she could beat him in, leading to a tantrum when he beat her.
* ArcWords: '''"Why won't you look at me?"''' Originally she said this to Prince Alforth before her StartOfDarkness and eventual demise. She now directs these words to Cyril during moments of extreme jealousy.
* BenevolentConspiracy: Has her own to make Cyril into a noble so she can marry him despite their difference in status.
* BerserkButton: Any insult or suggestion that Cyril is incompetent will invoke her wrath. Depending on how much of a JerkAss they are about it, her rage will range from TranquilFury to UnstoppableRage.
* CassandraTruth: When she was younger the head maid would bully her, but when she complained the other maids just thought she was lying. It took Cyril finding evidence of her crimes as well as crimes of embezzlement to reveal the truth.
* TheChessmaster: Who can manipulate even her (terrified of her) father Grave and Cyril, though she doesn’t treat anyone as disposable pawns.
* ChildhoodMarriagePromise: While the promise Cyril made to her wasn’t exactly this (it was a DeclarationOfProtection), as far as Sophia is concerned, it was one, and is SeriousBusiness.
* ExpansionPackPast: A literal InUniverse example, with expansion scenes like her encountering Roy and Emma, and her being a bro-con for her older brother.
* FamedInStory: Her mature impression at the prince’s birthday party at ten made Sophia famous. Everything she does to exploit Cyril’s otherworldly cuisine knowledge to grow her personal faction just increases it, until it gets to the point where there are things like a forced ArrangedMarriage set up by students parents to try to get connections with Sophia’s inner circle.
* FictionalDisability: Regarding how her body handles magic: It produces too much and she must release it, otherwise the excess mana turns her eyes red and aggravates her anger.
* FreudianExcuse: In the game, it was her maid and the other servants bullying her, making her hate commoners. This is the first obstacle eliminated by Cyril.
* FriendlyRivalry: With Alicia, who she befriends and educates despite being in a LoveTriangle over Cyril.
* GuileHero: Uses connections and social skills to get things done.
* HoistByTheirOwnPetard: In the game’s Alforth route, she was betrayed by the man she hired to kill Alicia, who told the prince about the scheme instead of carrying it out.
* InSpiteOfANail: Despite everything Cyril accomplished to give her a happy childhood and a better life, she still gets easily jealous and angry. It would appear that it was an InUniverse GuideDangIt moment as Cyril never realized that the reason why she would become irrationally angry was due to an illness with how her body handled her excessive mana.
* KarmicMisfire: Cyril strongly feels that this is what happened to her in the game. She was after all having her fiancé stolen from her, with a FreudianExcuse and chronic illness.
* KingIncognito: As part of her social studies, she goes out disguised as a commoner with a wig.
* LadyAndKnight: The lady to Cyril’s knight.
* LikeMotherLikeDaughter: According to her father Grave, she inherited her wrathful side from her mother.
* LonelyRichKid: Her parents are often away on other business, not even showing up for her birthdays. She quickly latches onto Cyril for companionship after he promises to always be there for her.
* ProperLady: Is the model of a perfect lady even as young as ten due to Cyril’s tutoring and a lot of hard work, which really enhances her reputation. Not that she doesn’t still have plenty of childish outbursts, but they’re mostly in private.
* {{Protectorate}}: For Cyril, which leads to some consternation from her worrying about him sacrificing his happiness and life.
* RageAgainstTheHeavens: In a way. She flat out states that she would even go against the gods to be able to walk alongside Cyril. She states this to the King and Queen who understand the DoubleMeaning behind it, as if stating she would even go against the Royal Family in treason. However, the King lets it slide.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: When she’s angry. It’s tied to her FictionalDisability.
* TheScapegoat: In one of the game routes, the elitist faction made her a patsy for one of their own crimes. The Prince's lackies tried to do this to her when she attacked them, but Cyril was prepared with enough evidence of their family's crimes that the King became indebted to her.
* SilkHidingSteel: Both practices martial arts every day, and keeps a concealed weapon on her.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Her name is sometimes written as Sofia.
* StalkerWithACrush: Since she can’t really get away with doing it herself, she has other servants stalk Cyril in her stead, essentially acting like a jealous lover watching out for infidelity.
* TeamMom: Regarding the girls of her faction as well as Roy and Emma.
* ThrowingTheFight: It was noted she attempted to do this during the Entrance Exam, as the only question she got wrong was a question everyone else easily answered correctly. However, Cyril did this as well so she would be the winner.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Cyril’s shortcake.
* TragicVillain: Her role in the game timelines.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: From the perspective of Sophia’s father Grave, her engaging in political scheming from as early as the age of ten is this. Nobles are generally expected to grow up fast, but Sophia easily acts twice her age; Grave slowly turns from adoring to terrified.
* WhenYouComingHomeDad: A big part of her drive is having replaced the hole in her life from her busy parents with others, which is reflected differently in the game timelines and the timeline readers experience.
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Which surprises pretty much every adult she meets, and she doesn’t have the excuse of PastLifeMemories for it.
* {{Unishment}}: Sees Cyril being a SadistTeacher as a good thing because she’s into that.
* UnpopularPopularCharacter: InUniverse. The original Sophia was given a sympathetic backstory of living a lonely life while being bullied by the maids. It's this reason alone Cyril decided to move her off her Death Ending than just save his own hide.
* TheUnsmile: Occasionally shows one when Cyril gets too close to another girl.
* {{Yandere}}: She was a clear cut example in the game’s routes for Prince Alforth, and Cyril is perpetually worried about her ‘falling into darkness’ like that. Ultimately, she’s a kind person with a lot of friends, but she still gets overly jealous quickly and easily over Cyril... she’s just more of a brilliant GuileHero about it than before.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Alicia]]
!!Alicia
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alicia_0.png]]
The protagonist of the dating sim Cyril was reborn into. She’s a cheerful, idealistic and determined daughter of a viscount. Alicia falls for Cyril after he steals her romance flag from Alforth accidentally when he was actually just trying to destroy it to make things easier between Sophia and the prince.
----
* ClingyJealousGirl: She knows Cyril is wholeheartedly devoted to Sophia, but she still can't help but feel jealous over him.
* FriendlyRivalry: Her dynamic with Sophia, helping each-other and being taught how to behave more like a noble by her, despite their LoveTriangle over Cyril.
* TheHeart: Plays this role for the main cast.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: She tends to blithely tread over social norms relating to class and status. This was the reason she was held from attending the academy until years later in the game, because of her lack of manners.
* TheIngenue: Which really makes her stick out from all the scheming and DoubleMeaning speech that happens around her.
* LoveAtFirstSight: Cyril saving her from the pushy Earl’s son. One could say it’s an example of the suspension bridge effect.
* PennyAmongDiamonds: Downplayed, she’s low ranked nobility.
* PluckyGirl: Her archetype, optimistic and determined to catch her love.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Prince Alforth]]
!!Alforth
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prince_alforth.png]]
One of the capture targets in the game, the naive and innocent second prince of the royal family, who falls in love with Sophia at the birthday party after dancing with her and trampling her feet, leaving a whirlwind of chaos in his wake due to his careless social actions pursuing her.
----
* BeYourself: The advice he’s given for his acting in the SchoolPlay, which is a bit ironic, considering the character he’s playing… is literally himself from a different timeline and a few years later.
* BirdsOfAFeather: In the game timeline, his romance path with Alicia.
* ButtMonkey: [[spoiler: After the incident in the rose garden, and being assigned Cyril as his tutor, he’s constantly humiliating himself to make amends as well as being publicly scolded by Cyril.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: Arguably undergoes the most in the series. [[spoiler: Taking Cyril’s tutoring seriously, taking full responsibility publicly for his mistakes, reforming himself, as well as taking an IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy stance with Sophia.]]
* DoubleMeaning: Really struggles with this sort of thing, which is bad because of how important and common it is in noble society.
* ExtremeDoormat: His lackies and tutor openly manipulate his naivety to make him appear to be a commoner hater. After getting rid of them and Cyril flat out telling him that Sophia has no respect for him, he admits his mistakes and works to better himself.
* HumbleHero: One of the upsides of his naive personality is that he’s humble and kind, which adds to his charm.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: He acts like a kid, because he's a kid… the problem is, he’s also a royal prince and doesn’t act it in the slightest, accidentally saying things interpreted as having a DoubleMeaning. He gets better over time.
* {{Irony}}: In a game centered around everyone having a "Light & Dark" side, Cyril is baffled to find out he never has any ulterior motives. He was honestly just a boy in love with Sophia and wanted to know how to court her.
* NiceGuy: Nice and a little too innocent.
* PrinceCharming: His role in the game, which Cyril often compares him to. He was supposed to be some years older for most of that, though, which Cyril acknowledges.
* TaughtByExperience: About the hardships brought about by being as socially clueless as he was at first.
* WhatDoesHeSeeInHer: How he feels about the Prince character he’s trying to play in the SchoolPlay, for going with the game’s heroine instead of the villainess who’s clearly based on Sophia. Which is ironic, because he’s supposed to be playing himself who went for the heroine in the game.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Libert]]
!!Libert
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/libert.png]]
The guarded leader of the commoner faction in the academy, the heir to a wealthy family of merchants, and a capture target in the game. He is particularly suspicious of Cyril and has feelings for Alicia. He dislikes and distrusts nobles and those close to them, but can overlook that for Alicia due to her innocence.
----
* BeneathTheMask: He puts on elaborate acts in public that Cyril has to probe the hidden meanings of.
* TheCynic: Operates on this worldview.
* CynicismCatalyst: The betrayal by a supposedly allied noble that led to his sister dying in his backstory.
* DoubleMeaning: In contrast to many other characters, Libert can go toe to toe with Cyril with these phrases.
* MerchantPrince: The scion of a powerful merchant family.
* OppositesAttract: Being attracted to Alicia, who’s open, cheerful and idealistic, while Libert is guarded, jaded, and cynical.
* ProperlyParanoid: Has a healthy sense of caution after being betrayed by a noble he trusted in the past. With all the scheming going on in the Academy, he’s better off that way.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Develops into this with Cyril.
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Can keep up with the {{Subtext}}, DoubleMeaning, and schemes of Cyril quite well, and can handle business negotiations, despite being around twelve.
* WorthyOpponent: He sees Cyril like this both for his scheming mind and as a challenger for Alicia’s affection.
* YoungEntrepreneur: Making extensive business arrangements before even graduating middle school, he’s clearly qualified to inherit his family fortune.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Princess Folsynia]]
!!Fol
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/princess_folsynia.png]]
Fol is introduced as Sophia and Cyril’s dance partners at the academy entry exam, testing them, a while later entering the spotlight properly. Fol is cheeky and mischievous senpai who likes to be mysterious, and is judged by Cyril to be on the same level as Sophia. She was actually another villainous daughter in the game's expansion, and is Alforth’s cousin.
----
* ChekhovsGunman: First appears investigating and dancing with Cyril at the entrance exam before later joining the main cast.
* EngagementChallenge: Offering one of these was her main role in the game’s ExpansionPack.
* FictionalDisability: Her illness is a major plot point. [[spoiler: Like Sophia, her body produces too much mana but hers is a more serious condition and she has less experience in releasing mana until Cyril helps her to manage it.]]
* TheGadfly: A cheeky trickster when she’s not in an overly serious mood.
* KingIncognito: Pretending to be a commoner sponsored by an Earl house when in the Academy.
* KissingCousins: Her dynamic with her cousin Prince Lancelot in the ExpansionPack. In the current reality, he drives away her suitors because he thinks they’re not good enough for her.
* SecretKeeper: [[spoiler: Her being made aware of the world being based on a game, as well as Tristan’s investigation of Cyril, which she willingly took part in. Although Tristan kept her out of the loop with regard to her fate in the games.]]
* SecretTestOfCharacter: Her dances with Sophia and Cyril.
* SixthRanger: Moves into the main cast a good while after it’s been established.
[[/folder]]

!The Servant A Class
[[folder:Raymond]]
!!Raymond
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/raymond_9.png]]
A hot blooded servant class student bent on outshining and replacing Cyril to earn a job under Sophia. There’s more to him than first appears.
----
* BreakTheHaughty: From his experience failing his challenge to Cyril.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: From his father dying, leaving him needing to provide for his family.
* ADayInTheLimelight: The side story focusing on his backstory and perspective on events up until that point.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: The result of Cyril’s forgiveness and trust of him despite everything he did.
* FatalFlaw: Being DrivenByEnvy against Cyril. He actually can be intelligent and responsible, but his obsession to out-do Cyril overrides his reason. He gets better after Cyril's [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre encouragement]] and proves himself a good butler-to-be.
* HeroWorshipper: Turns into this for Cyril over time.
* HotBlooded: Gives this first impression as he was bent on getting a job at any cost.
* LegacyOfService: Like Cyril, comes from a household of butlers.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: Cyril sympathizes with Raymond fearing for his family's future, thinking that it's not much different from Cyril's own efforts to change his and Sophia's fates.
* ThrowTheDogABone: [[spoiler: Fol hiring him for the Royal Family.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: He apologizes to all his classmates, especially Cyril for the Freshman Welcome Party debacle, and later advises Cyril on making contact with Libert.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Tristan]]
!!Tristan
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tristan_4.png]]
Tristan is simultaneously, Cyril’s servant course teacher, a capture target in the game, and Cyril’s uncle. He was a prodigy who got recruited by the royal family right from the academy in his day, and acts as a mentor to Cyril.
----
* TheAce: When attending the Academy, although he warns that’s far from enough to ensure smooth sailing as a servant.
* ChildProdigy: Enough so for Cyril to be called "the next Tristan"
* HotTeacher: He’s an otome game capture target, and a teacher.
* MentorArchetype: Gives useful advice to Cyril regularly, which is no mean feat, considering it's Cyril.
* NotSoStoic: Even Tristan loses his composure [[spoiler: when Cyril scolds Alforth over his obliviousness after being asked for advice, as Cyril was perpetrating [[FeeFiFauxPas lese majesty]], which could cost him his head.]]
* TheReveal: [[spoiler: Tristan did a FusionDance with Cyril’s past-life sister when awakening to her PastLifeMemories at a later age than Cyril did. The one who sent Fol, Luke, and Chloe to spy on Cyril was in fact Tristan. That was because, having knowledge of both the game and its ExpansionPack from those memories, Tristan was WrongGenreSavvy that Cyril was a HaremSeeker scoundrel, and wary of him, but also suspected Cyril’s identity and thus ability to save Fol from her critical illness. The reason Fol’s advisor, who wrote the SchoolPlay script based on the game, was a “she”, was because Fol was aware of the dual persona.]]
* TeacherStudentRomance: His route in the game. At least he was teaching a ''different class'' than Alicia’s.
* TricksterMentor: Him deceiving his class about why Cyril scored so low on the dance test to help them truly respect him better in the long run, is just the first example.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Chloe & Luke]]
!!Chloe & Luke
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chloe_and_luke.png]]
Two members of the servant A class, mainly notable for their spying on Cyril and the mystery of who they serve and why. They’re childhood friends who were taken in as servants from the slums.
----
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: The two’s dynamic, with Luke as the ''boke'' and Chloe as the ''tsukkomi''.
* ChildhoodFriends: They were this, in contrast to Roy and Emma being literal siblings. Cyril teases Chloe over this.
* DopeSlap: Chloe tends to do this to Luke for his lack of subtlety.
* HistoryRepeats: Their origin was repeated with Roy and Emma.
* NumberTwo: Cyril makes Luke into his deputy for the servant’s A class.
* OvertOperative: Luke’s really bad at hiding his nature as a spy.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Roy & Emma]]
!!Roy & Emma
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roy_and_emma.png]]
Two slum runaways, who encounter and are taken in as servants by Sophia and Cyril after Roy rescued Emma from being sold into slavery.
----
* AdoptAServant: Pretty much de-facto adopted by Sophia and Cyril.
* BodyguardingABadass: They’re being trained to guard Sophia, who can handle herself well enough.
* DesperatelyCravesAffection: Cyril finds that giving them an AffectionateGestureToTheHead has a huge impact on the two due to the absence of a nurturing environment in the slums.
* HistoryRepeats: They became servants the same way Chloe and Luke did in the past.
* MadeASlave: What prompted them to become runaways was Emma being sold off to be a SexSlave out of the financial desperation of their parents.
* {{Revenge}}: Their role in the game’s ExpansionPack was to get chased away by Sophia before Roy swears revenge on her.
* RichLanguagePoorLanguage: Some of their tutoring involves them figuring out this.
* TheRunaway: Seeing Emma being sold off prompts them both to give up on their parents entirely and fatefully stumble into Sophia.
* SiblingTeam: After becoming servants. Cyril has them taking turns with one pretending to be a noble and the other their servant as part of their training, amongst other cooperation.
* UndyingLoyalty: For Sophia saving them. Cyril was very conscious of how this might not have been the case, and took measures to ensure their parents were well for the inevitable day that they worry about them.

[[folder:Nameless]]
!!Nameless
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nameless_7.png]]
The boss of the criminal underworld and a ruined former noble, who fights against the corrupt using his underworld dealings.
----
* DeadpanSnarker: Reacts to Cyril’s unexpected competence with this.
* DecoyLeader: Has one that looks more the part of a gang leader. Since Cyril’s played the game, he isn’t fooled one bit and they quickly drop the pretense.
* EveryoneHasStandards: He clearly has a conscience even if a ruthless pragmatist. Nameless expresses exasperation at a number of Cyril’s schemes, though that’s as much about how strange it is hearing them from someone Cyril’s age.
* KarmicThief: Motivated by hatred of nobles who abuse their power.
* KnowledgeBroker: One of the services he offers, and Cyril makes good use of.
* LoveableRogue: Was included in the game for some of this appeal.
* RichesToRags: A former noble driven to ruin.
* ScoundrelCode: He and his organization clearly have their own codes of conduct. It’s suggested that he’s tough but fair to his employees.
* WorthyOpponent: Views Cyril as one, after witnessing his clever and smooth negotiation.
--> That boy is a monster wearing a child's skin. ''*smirks*'' Indeed, it seems we'll be getting along for a long time.

!!Pamela
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pamela_3.png]]
The girl who Cyril saved from collapsing on the floor in the entrance exam, and later joins Sophia’s faction. She’s from an Earl ranked family, but poor. She’s actually supposed to be the protagonist of the dating sim’s expansion.
----
* ArrangedMarriage: She nearly gets forced into one by nobles who want to suck up to Sophia, before Sophia coaxes her into telling about it.
* ChekhovsGunman: She's initially introduced as a random extra who fainted during the entrance exam and makes minor appearances as a member of Lady Sophia's faction. Many chapters later it's revealed she is actually the protagonist of the dating sim's prequel. And because Cyril and Sophia help her by preventing her being pressured into getting married, the plotlines she otherwise would've been dealing with suddenly become Cyril's problem.
* {{Fainting}}: Due to Anemia. This was actually supposed to be a significant event where she met Prince Lancelot…
* ImpoverishedPatrician: It seems their territory is really poor, but could really benefit from Sophia introducing potato crops to it.
* WeightWoe: The cause of her fainting was dieting too hard. Cyril gave her a more proper meal plan.
