However, while he is wearing his armor again in the present day, Max just puts his helmet aside and doesn't wear it for the final fight. In fact, it's the only thing that doesn't disintegrate with him. Considering he doesn't expect to fight, it seems he's wearing the armor more as a keepsake than for battle.
