!!Humans
[[folder: The Night Guard]]
[[spoiler:For information regarding this character, see "Strings" below.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Fritz Glade [[spoiler:(Jeremy Fitzgerald)]]]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fritzglade.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350: ''Inventor - Caring Father - Coward'']]
The owner and manager of the pizzeria, as well as the inventor of the animatronics. He acts as this game's Phone Guy.
----
* AscendedExtra: For being [[spoiler:the protagonist of one game]] in the original series, this fan-sequel very much gives him a lot of characterization.
* AdaptationalNameChange: In [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys2 FNaF 2]] Fritz's surname is Smith, not Glade. [[spoiler:Subverted because Glade isn't Smith at all. His actual name is Jeremy Fitzgerald.]]
* BrainFood: [[spoiler: As the victim of the Bite of '87, Fritz is missing most of his frontal lobe]].
* DialogueTree: After each night's phone call, he gives you three questions you can ask. It's explained InUniverse as him being too busy to give you a live call every night, so he records the dialog options whenever he has the time.
* FreakOut: [[spoiler: Had a pretty severe one when his daughter wore a Toy Bonnie mask, saying "Hey, it's me!". It caused a PTSD flashback to Toy Bonnie biting him back in 1987, causing him to take an axe and kill the "deadly animatronic" that was after him]].
* GadgeteerGenius: He invented the animatronics, which are so complex and human-like that they're the only employees in the building. [[spoiler:Including you]].
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone:
** It's evident how terrible he feels after [[spoiler:murdering his daughter]], since he is [[spoiler:trying to rebuild her as the Blackrabbit]].
** He also has this reaction after building [[spoiler:Simon]], which causes him to [[spoiler:lock it up]]. [[spoiler:This ends up costing him his life in the end]].
* OffingTheOffspring: [[spoiler: Killed his daughter Bonnie when she wore a Toy Bonnie mask]].
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: To [[spoiler:the Purple Guy]], of all people.
* ShellShockedVeteran: [[spoiler: He has severe PTSD after the Bite of '87]].
* SignificantAnagram: His full name is Fritz Glade, which is an anagram of [[spoiler: Fitzgerald]], which is [[spoiler:his real last name.]]
* SuddenlyVoiced: Goes from being only heard [[spoiler:breathing in ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys2'']] to having his own voice-acted lines.
* ThickerThanWater: He's willing to forgive Simon, [[spoiler:AKA the Purple Guy]], for his crimes because they are brothers. Enough to [[spoiler: travel to America to purchase his remains at the Fazbear's Fright auction so he could be given a proper burial, and try to "resurrect" him with an AI replica]].
* TraumaButton: The animatronics, [[spoiler:Toy Bonnie]] in particular after [[spoiler:the Bite of '87]]. He created Popgoes' Pizza to [[spoiler:try and cope with what happened at Freddy's]].

!!Animatronics
[[folder: Popgoes the Weasel]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/popgoestheweasel.png]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/evergreenpopgoes_7.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:His appearance in ''POPGOES Evergreen''.]]

The mascot of the pizzeria, Popgoes is an animatronic weasel. During the night, he works to build the mysterious Blackrabbit using the building's 3D printers.

----
* TheDragon: Serves as one to the Blackrabbit, as he's the one trying to build her.
* DragonInChief: Although he isn't the BigBad and can't kill you (you're hallucinating his jumpscare), he's the titular character, the mascot of the pizzeria, and the one you'll see the most.
* {{Expy}}: Of Freddy Fazbear. Both are brown-colored animatronics, and the mascot of their respective franchises.
* JustFollowingOrders: [[spoiler:Unlike the animatronics in the [=FNaF=] games, Popgoes isn't possessed. He's only following Fritz's orders.]]
* PunnyName: His name is based off the song Pop Goes the Weasel.
* WeCanRebuildHim: He's building the Blackrabbit as [[spoiler:a vessel for Bonnie's restless spirit.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Sara and Saffron]]

[[quoteright:340:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sarasquirrel.png]]

[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/saffronsquirrel.png]]

A pair of twin squirrels, and backup singers in the Popgoes' Pizza band. During the night, they crawl through the vents to take your phone.
----
* TheDragon:
** Sara is programmed to help Popgoes with his tasks.
** Saffron to her sister, as she is programmed to be identical to her.
* {{Expy}}: Of Balloon Boy, in terms of how they behave. Like Balloon Boy, Sara and Saffron attempt to steal an important item of the player's, albeit a phone instead of a flashlight.
** POPGOES Memories also confirms that Sara’s design was based on [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Sally Acorn]]
* IcyBlueEyes: Sara has light blue eyes which are anything but innocent.
* PsychoPink: Similarly, Saffron has pink eyes and is very psychotic.
* ScrewballSquirrel: Both of them. They are squirrels that love to toy with the player. With one of them even stealing the guard's phone just to screw with them.
* SingleMindedTwins: They move and act as one animatronic.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Blake the Badger]]

[[quoteright:340:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blakebadger2.png]]

Blake is the mechanic of Popgoes' Pizza. He takes care of the technology around the building, and keeps kids from messing with things they shouldn't touch. During the night, he'll head to the server room to try and shut down the camera system.
----
* BadOlBadger: He is an animatronic badger, and is most certainly a bad guy.
* MagnetismManipulation: Downplayed. He has magnetic plates in his hands, which makes it easier for him to hold things.
* MrFixit: Only during the day, though.
* YellowEyesOfSneakiness: Pretty obvious with Blake. It's pretty easy to miss him going into the server room.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Stone the Crow]]

[[quoteright:340:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stonecrow2.png]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stonynight_9.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:His appearance in ''POPGOES'' Evergreen.]]

An animatronic in the drive-through. He holds a sign pointing people towards the entrance. During the night, he'll appear on the cameras if your panic starts getting out of hand.
----
* ConsummateLiar: When he appears as a hallucination, his sign will have different words on it. All of them are lies.
-->We think. We care.
-->You are too late.
-->[[spoiler: His name is Fritz.]]
-->Everything is okay.
-->He lied to you.
-->You don't need that phone.
-->You should panic.
-->We will kill you.
-->'''I am here.'''
* CreepyCrows: Granted, since he invokes the creepy part of the trope to make [[spoiler:Strings]] FreakOut when his {{Hallucinations}} appear on camera.
* {{Hallucinations}}: According to the Extras menu, Stone isn't actually connected to anything anymore, so if you see him anywhere except in the drive-through, you're hallucinating from fear.
* PunnyName: His name is in reference to the saying "stone the crows", a saying of annoyance. Doubles as a MeaningfulName, as his appearances block the camera you're trying to look through and raises your panic meter, which makes survival a lot harder.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: By default he has red irises. In the hallucinations, whether on camera or [[spoiler:gazing back from outside]], he sports completely red glowing eyes.
[[/folder]]

!!Spoiler Characters (WARNING: SPOILERS ARE UNMARKED)

[[folder: Strings]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/secstrings.png]]
A robot created by Fritz, and the player character in both Popgoes 1 and 2. Fritz created him to experiment with an advanced AI module he created, known as Curiosity; Strings possesses the unique ability to connect ideas that don't have any logical connection, giving him the ability to think and theorize in a way Fritz's other creations cannot.
----
* AdaptedOut: Possibly. Kane Carter doesn't tell us whether or not Strings will be returning in ''POPGOES Evergreen'', the reboot of the series.
* AmbiguousGender: Strings' gender is... unclear. Popgoes Arcade states that he's male ("His shift begins tonight"), which is then supported by the Extras menu in the first game. However, an update to the game later then changed the Extras menu text to call Strings female, [[FlipFlopOfGod before the game was updated]] ''[[FlipFlopOfGod again]]'' [[FlipFlopOfGod to change Strings back to male]].
** The game's director later cleared things up: The director always thought of Strings as male, but the game's programmer considered Strings to be female, and the constant changes were the result of them not being able to come to an agreement on it.
* FreakOut: Because the Curiosity module is still an early beta, Strings cannot process information if it comes too fast. This manifests as the panic meter during gameplay. If it fills up, Strings will have a panic attack and break down, ending the game.
* RedIsHeroic: She is primarily red in color and is the main protagonist of Popgoes.
* SuddenlyVoiced: In the ending of ''Popgoes 2'', Strings would have gained the ability to speak after his Curiosity module was removed. According to the game's director, he had only one planned line when the game was cancelled, spoken right before [[TakingYouWithMe he shut down WeaselWare, killing both himself and Simon]]:
-->'''Strings:''' [[CallBack You won't come back]].
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In the True Ending, Strings is tricked by Simon (the robot) into helping him kill Fritz and escape.
[[/folder]]
[[folder: Bonnie Glade]]
[[quoteright:336:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bonnieglade.png]]

Fritz's daughter and Simon's niece.
----
* DisposingOfABody: POPGOES Arcade implies that she was buried beneath a fountain in Fritz's backyard.
* HappilyAdopted: Was adopted by Fritz, and lived a peaceful life with him, until he accidentally killed her.
* IconicItem: She is often represented by the Toy Bonnie mask that she wore to scare Fritz, which resulted in her axe-induced demise.
* OffingTheOffspring: Was killed after scaring her dad with a Toy Bonnie mask, causing him to mistake her for the actual Toy Bonnie and attack her.
* TooDumbToLive: Go on ahead and scare your dad, who has severe PTSD, with the head of the very thing that crippled him for life and damn near murdered him, Bonnie. See how well ''that'' goes over.
** Becomes FridgeBrilliance (and possibly FridgeHorror as well) with the reveal (from the second game's plot, [[WordOfGod as revealed on Twitter]]) that Bonnie actually ''wants'' to die, on account of wanting to become a ghost.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Bonnie's death allowed Simon to manipulate Strings' desire to free her soul, in order to release him from his chains within Fritz's office and kill Fritz. ''Popgoes 2'' would have revealed this was intentional; she caused Fritz to kill her so that she could become a powerful spirit, and then she released Simon so that Fritz would be murdered and become a spirit as well.
* WalkingSpoiler: Probably the biggest in the entire game.
* WeCanRebuildHim: Popgoes will try to rebuild her as the Blackrabbit throughout each night.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Blackrabbit]]
[[quoteright:341:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackrabbit.png]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackrabbit2020.png]]
[[caption-width-right:250:Her appearance in ''POPGOES Evergreen''.]]

An all-black unpainted animatronic. Popgoes tries to assemble it during the night, using the building's 3D printers. It's the only animatronic capable of outright killing the player.
----
* BigBad: The only true threat to the player's safety.
* FloatingLimbs: After being assembled, Blackrabbit's limbs aren't connected to each other, and simply float next to the main body.
* HauntedTechnology: Is possessed by Bonnie Glade.
* TragicMonster: It's possessed by the restless soul of Bonnie, who just wants to be free.
** Subverted HARD with the reveal that Bonnie planned to die and was planning on killing her father as well.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Gem Stone]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_161.png]]
A variation of Stone the Crow, Gem Stone is a rare hallucination that may appear on later nights. He looks identical to Stone, but has a body made of crystal.
----
* AdaptedOut: It's confirmed that Gem Stone won't be returning in the reboot due to his irrelevance to the plot.
* BlueIsHeroic: Well, he is actually cyan in color, but he is fortunately on your side.
* CannotTellALie: Unlike Stone, everything his sign says is the truth.
-->I think. I care.
-->You can fix this.
-->His name is not Fritz.
-->Things are... wrong.
-->Keep that phone safe.
-->Stay calm for me.
-->Only she can kill you.
-->I am not there.
* CatchPhrase: "Find the Truth".
* CleverCrows: He is a crow that offers the player friendly advice and important hints.
* GemTissue: As his name implies, he is made out of some kind of gemstone.
* HelpfulHallucination: On top of telling only the truth, looking at Gem Stone will lower your panic meter.
* LiteralMetaphor: While it's also a metaphor for his honesty, Gem Stone is literally a metaphor for transparency.
* PunnyName: Stone the Crow, except made of gems.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Grave Stone]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_946.png]]
Another variation of Stone the Crow, this time made out of actual stone. He holds a sign mourning the death of Jeremy Fitzgerald.
----
* AdaptedOut: Grave Stone won't be returning in series reboot ''POPGOES Evergreen'' due to being irrelevant.
* CreepyCrows: Even more so than his normal counterpart.
* KarmicTransformation: Kane stated in his developer commentary that Gem Stone ''becomes'' Grave Stone in the Bad/Grave Ending. It is also stated elsewhere that Grave Stone represents String’s guilt over their involvement in Fritz’ death by unleashing Simon.
* PunnyName: Stone the Crow, but this time he's actually made of stone. He's also acting as a literal gravestone.
* UnknownCharacter: Very little is known about Grave Stone. There was going to be a one-night DLC to ''POPGOES'' called ''POPGOES: The Silent Night'' that would've starred him, but as that game was canceled, it's unlikely we'll ever get more concrete answers on what Grave Stone is.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Simon Fitzgerald]]
[[quoteright:301:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/simonfitzgerald.png]]
The identity of the Purple Guy, Fritz Glade/Jeremy Fitzgerald's brother, and Bonnie Glade's uncle. Simon had a theory about using the blood of children to extend an adult's lifespan, a theory he was so obsessed with testing that he began committing murders at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to get samples to test with. When his brother is mistaken for him and bitten by Toy Bonnie, he donates some of the blood he's murdered for to save his brother's life.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Oh so slightly. The serial killer aspect of the Purple Guy is all there still, but in this continuity it is revealed that he genuinely cared about his brother and wanted to save his life.
* AdaptationNameChange: His name isn't William Afton like in canon.
* DeathByAdaptation: In the canon games, Springtrap survived the fire at Fazbear's Fright and is still alive as of now, but in ''POPGOES'', his body was melted to the point that all that remained of him was a charred head.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Despite being horribly immoral and willing to do whatever it takes for immortal life, he deeply cares about his brother.
* GreaterScopeVillain: His actions lead to The Bite of '87 and the creation of Simon (the robot one).
* MadScientist: Believes that an adult could live longer if they were injected with the blood of a child, which is the reasoning for his murders in the first place.
* PosthumousCharacter: By the time ''POPGOES'' takes place, he's long dead as he is not the robot of the same name.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Simon]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/simon_78.png]]
The second of Fritz's robot experiments, Simon is a purple skeleton robot. He's been chained to the wall of Fritz's office for a very long time, and is desperate to escape.
----
* AIIsACrapshoot: Fritz used extremely advanced A.I. to replicate the original Simon's personality, but the robot gained its own free will and sentience.
* AndIMustScream: After creating him, Fritz was terrified of what he had built, and kept Simon chained to the wall in his office for an unknown amount of time.
* CainAndAbel: Averted. [[WordOfGod Word Of God]] has confirmed that the actual Simon Fitzgerald is not possessing him.
* DeathSeeker: A weird version in that while he sees death as the ultimate freedom, he also knows that as a robot he has no soul to go to the afterlife with. Any "death" to him is a sleep in which he'll eventually wake up from.
* FailureIsTheOnlyOption: As the [[AllThereInTheManual Memory Cards]] note, Simon's goal of ultimate freedom is fundamentally flawed, as no matter how many people he interrogates and kills it will never draw him any closer to his goal.
* IJustWantToBeFree: This is his ultimate motivation: he wants to be the most free thing in the ''universe''. He'll go to any lengths to make sure that happens.
* OneWingedAngel: In ''Popgoes 2'', he would have been horribly damaged when his Epitome animatronics were less stable than he anticipated, forcing him to rebuild himself into a monstrous creature known as [[https://twitter.com/Popgoes6/status/979070613556998144 Deadline.]]
* RobotMe: {{Invoked|Trope}}, but {{averted|Trope}}. Fritz designed him to be a robotic duplicate of his brother, but the games and [[AllThereInTheManual Memory Cards]] make it very clear that the Simon robot is its own entity.
* SkeleBot9000: Even more than the endoskeletons from the ''[=FNaF=]'' games.
* SlasherSmile: Has a permanent one, because he has no lips to change his facial expression.
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: At the end of the sixth night, he finally escapes his imprisonment and kills Fritz.
* WeCanRebuildHim: Created as a replica of Fritz's deceased brother, but became something entirely different.
* WalkingSpoiler: He and Bonnie are the two biggest. It's almost impossible to say anything about him without majorly spoiling the game's plot.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Lux Animatronics]]
The glowing counterparts of the main animatronics.
----
* AdaptedOut: They won't be returning in the reboot due to their irrelevance.
* AngryEyebrows: With the exception of Whiterabbit, every other Lux Animatronic has an angry expression.
* GratuitousLatin: ''"Lux"'' is Latin for ''"light"''.
* PaletteSwap: They're the same models as the main animatronics, except every part of each animatronic is turned completely white. Except for the joints, which take on their respective [[ColorCodedForYourConvenience power colors.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Springtrap]]
