!!Wyldstyle (''WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie'')
[[quoteright:168:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/70810_1to1_mf_mugshot_wildstyle_168.png]]
[[caption-width-right:168:Come with me if you wanna not die.]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ElizabethBanks
-->"I'm Wyldstyle... and I'm not a DJ!"

Along with friends Gandalf and Batman, Wyldstyle travels from dimension to dimension to stop Lord Vortech.

* BerserkButton: She gets very irked when Mayor Hubert of Hill Valley describes her wearing trousers as [[DeliberateValuesDissonance unusual]].
* EmbarrassingFirstName: Lucy.
* HairFlip: It's one of her {{Idle Animation}}s, complete with the swiveling-hairpiece reference.
* JustFriends: With Batman, since he's from his respective LEGO game series, and is not the one from ''The [=LEGO=] Movie''. And besides, she broke up with ''[=LEGO=] Movie'' Batman and is now with Emmet instead.
* MsFixit: One of the few characters to possess the "Master Builder" ability. This allows her to recreate otherwise difficult-to-build constructs in a snap.
* TheNoseless: Being a Lego minifigure. In spite of that, she can still smell the foul stench in the Wicked Witch of the West's chambers.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Wyldstyle is the only main female protagonist, but the other character packs do contain their own female characters.
* StylisticSuck: Her animation, while not as choppy in framerate as the characters from Midway Arcade, looks more like an actual Lego minifigure hopping around than either of her travelling partners, with mostly nonexistent knees and elbows. This is to emulate the style of her movie.
* ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman: Wyldstyle is one of only three characters who can use a scanner to detect invisible objects (the others being Bad Cop and Chase [=McCain=]).
* WallJump: Her Acrobatics ability allows her to cling to and hop between sparkling walls that share the same color palette as her hair.

!!Gandalf the Grey (''Film/TheLordOfTheRings'')
[[quoteright:168:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/79014_1to1_mf_mugshot_gandalfgrey_168.png]]
[[caption-width-right:168:You Shall Not Pass!!!]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TomKane
-->"I am Gandalf the Grey!"

Straight from Middle Earth, Gandalf helps the trio with his magical powers.

* AccidentalMisnaming: Mistakes Doc Brown's famous oath of "Great Scott!" for his name.
* AdaptationalComicRelief: Everyone in the game gets this to an extent, but Gandalf is PlayedForLaughs even moreso than others.
* AwesomeMcCoolName: When Sauron refers to him as "Gandalf Stormcrow", Wyldstyle decides that "Stormcrow" would make a good alternate for her own codename.
* CatchPhrase: "You shall not pass!"
** HeyThatsMyLine: He gets defensive of it when [[spoiler: The Tri]] uses it.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: While true of all three characters to an extent, Gandalf hails from a fantasy world (compared to the more [[FantasyKitchenSink kitchen sink]] approaches of DC Comics and the LEGO Movie) and has a lot of trouble with less fantastic concepts.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: When interacting with the TARDIS, he gets electrocuted and turns into Gandalf the White. He turns back into Gandalf the Grey upon being electrocuted a second time.
* HeroicBSOD: He has a brief one when he learns Sauron is present in Metropolis. Batman and Wyldstyle quickly snap him out of it.
* HypocriticalHumor: Gandalf likes to play up the eccentric old man trope but is baffled by others like Doc Brown and The Doctor.
* LighterAndSofter: Again, unlike the films and books he's physically based on, Gandalf is much more genial, and less world-weary. Presumably this is because there's already Batman serving as the grouchy one of the trio.
* MagicStaff: The Staff of Power. In close-range combat, he can swing it around to attack and at range, he can fire magical bolts that harm enemies and destroy objects. He can also use it to emit a shield of light, or to illuminate dark areas that characters without a light source cannot traverse.
* NoIndoorVoice: Fond of shouting.
* RageQuit: Gets fed up of being mistaken for Dumbledore in his Meet That Hero sketch featuring Newt Scamander and Tina Goldstein.
* SarcasmBlind: He thinks that [=GLaDOS=] has a positive attitude when she [[DeadpanSnarker "compliments"]] them on completing a test.
* TokenNonhuman: He's the only main hero who's not human(unless you don't count Wyldstyle, since she's a Lego minifigure in her homeworld), being an Istari(basically, Middle-Earth's version of angels).
* WizardClassic: To be fair, he is the TropeCodifier. Also, lampshaded in the Gauntlet Parody; if low on heath, the announcer will say "Wizard needs food badly". (The Wicked Witch also gets this)
* WrongGenreSavvy: Given he's from a fantasy setting, this was bound to come up. For example, when dealing with the Weeping Angels, he thinks they're a case of DemonicPossession, rather than being creatures that just turn to stone when you see them.

!!Batman (''[[Franchise/{{Batman}} Batman]]'')
[[quoteright:168:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/71200_1to1_mf_mugshot_batman_168_17.png]]
[[caption-width-right:168:I'm Batman.]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TroyBaker
-->"The Dark Knight rises!"

One of DC Comics' most enduring and loved characters, the Caped Crusader from Gotham helps the team with his cool and expensive gadgets.

* AdaptationalDumbass: He's more prone to making impulsive and even outright stupid decisions. He punches the Riddler when he's holding a very fragile Palantir, almost causing it to shatter. He also throws a Batarang at a Manti Lander, causing it to attack them.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Is this to the Lego Movie version of Batman.
* AttackAttackAttack: Not actually done, [[PuzzleBoss considering how every LEGO boss is]], but with boss fights he thinks to call Oracle for advice on how to beat their opponent, only for him to change his mind and say "Ah, I'll just keep hitting it."
* AscendedMeme: He occasionally uses "I'm Batman." as an explanation for something he's capable of doing.
* BattleBoomerang: The Batarang. It can be used as a ranged throwing weapon, but can also be used for solving puzzles that require its use.
* TheComicallySerious: Occasionally expresses confusion with what's happening in his recognizable gravelly voice.
* CompositeCharacter: He's a mix of ''many'' incarnations of Batman, taking most of his design and personality cues from the Animated Series and throwing in several references to the ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamSeries'' and ''Film/TheDarkKnightTrilogy''. He can also become his incarnation from ''WesternAnimation/TheLEGOBatmanMovie'' when in said world.
* CoolCar: His personal Batmobile, the only vehicle included in the Starter Pack.
* DistinctionWithoutADifference: He insists that they weren't "running away" from Lord Vortech, they were making a "tactical retreat". When Wyldstyle asks him what the difference is, all he can say is "Batman doesn't run away".
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Fights bare-handed as his standard attack.
* JustFriends: In the interests in diversity between the all of the franchises present in the game, this is the Batman from DC Comics and his respective game series. He's just met Wyldstyle, and not [[WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie dating her]].
* TheLeader: Generally takes the lead in the groups adventures, and is often the one most recognized by the villains.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Batman is the one responsible for scattering the keystones across the dimensions, as a result of escaping Vortech at the beginning of the game.
* OtherMeAnnoysMe: He meets up with his counterpart from WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie. They don't get along.
* PhraseCatcher: Quotes both "[[Franchise/{{Ghostbusters}} I ain't afraid of no ghost.]]" and "[[Series/DoctorWho Don't blink.]]" in the appropriate levels.
* QuantityVsQuality: Compared to The Lego Movie's Batman - he throws fewer Batarangs, but his actually come back to him.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to ''LEGO Movie'' Batman's red. Also the Blue to Wyldstyle's Red. All for being more calm and collected compared to those two.
* SissyFight: The Two Batmen get into one when they first meet.

!!''[=X-PO=]''
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/JoelMcHale
-->"Stuck, huh? Don't worry, you're only human. Or...maybe some kind of mammal. I can't tell."

Short for Xperimental Portal Operator. After being banished by Lord Vortech, he allies himself with the heroes in their quest to stop his plans.

* BigGood: Turns out to be the one who set the heroes on their quest to locate the keystones and foundation elements.
* CyberCyclops: He only has one purple "eye".
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler: He seemingly dies after the Joker 'puts a smile on his face'. The Doctor manages to repair him, though.]]
* TheDitz: [=X-PO=] is not quite right in the mainframe, to put it mildly.
* EpicFail: He claims to have somehow fallen asleep in rift-making class, as in while he was supposed to be learning about the thing he's ''designed'' to do.
* HeelFaceTurn: Initially works for Vortech in the beginning, but changes sides after Vortech tries to kill him.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: He occasionally says very condescending things, but by all indications doesn't know they're insulting.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: When he broke him up at the beginning of the game, Vortech also removed [=X-PO's=] knowledge of where Foundation Prime was.
* MeaningfulName: Not only does it stand for the above, but he provides most of the e'''xpo'''sition for the story.
* OriginalGeneration: He's a new character created for this crossover game.
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: Not in appearance but in personality and mentality. He somehow fell asleep when learning how to create rifts and is seen drinking at one point, despite lacking a visible mouth.
* ServileSnarker: When he was working for Lord Vortech.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: A robot with 3 characters in his name (the last two being PO) and providing the heroes inside details? Hmm... perhaps the [[Main/ExiledfromContinuity otherwise exiled]] Franchise/StarWars isn't completely absent after all.
* TheVoiceless: He temporarily becomes this in "All Your Bricks Belong To Us". If the player tries to contact him via a Hint Stone in the ''VideoGame/{{Gauntlet}}'' maze, his hint appears accompanied by a sound from the original game, rather than one of his stock quotes.

[[folder: Villains]]
!!''Lord Vortech''
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/GaryOldman

The ruler of the planet Vorton, who seeks to gather the Foundation Elements needed to control all of reality itself.

* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: Can shape-shift into a massive minifigure, and does so in the 1800's era Hill Valley [[spoiler:and the final battle]].
* BadBoss: Seems to be insulting the other villains whenever he's with them. And as proven when he manhandles Lex Luthor, compresses Sauron into a cube, and physically crushes the Midway Arcade Thief after he loses to the heroes, Vortech is physically abusive as well.
* BadassCape: He wears a tattered, jagged-edged cape.
* BigBad: Of ''Lego Dimensions'' itself, and implied to be the one for the Midway Arcade level pack as well.
* CardCarryingVillain: When summoning characters from separate worlds, he makes the "bad guys" stand on the right, making it pretty clear he identifies as evil.
* CelestialBody: His body looks like he is made out of a galaxy.
* ControlFreak: He basically plans on merging all the dimensions together into one ordered dimension under his rule, and he flips out when the heroes start undoing his work.
* EasterEgg: The game has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFDWh2Xfb4A dialogue for the cancelled Lord Vortech Fun Pack]] coded into it, but inaccessible without hacking.
* EvilBrit: As voiced by Gary Oldman, though Tom Kane affects an English accent as Gandalf to offset this.
* EvilIsHammy: The way he speaks.
* FinalBoss: Of the main story in "The Final Dimension".
* FakeAmerican: In-universe, he pretends to be a gunslinger to confront the heroes at Hill Valley, and he does a pretty funny accent.
* FromASingleCell: [[spoiler: At the end of the main story, an innocent minifig approaches a brick fragment, seemingly of what remains of Vortech after his imprisonment...then he touches it, causing his skin and sleeve to become Vortech-like, and he cackles. It's unknown whether this was a ThanatosGambit, a case of AsLongAsThereIsEvil, or XanatosGambit.]]
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Essentially is just trying to rule all of existence- we haven't got any backstory for him, like who he really is or why he wants to rule the entire multiverse.
* AGodAmI: Unsurprisingly, once he [[spoiler:taps into the power of the Foundation of all Dimensions]], he goes all out with this trope.
-->'''Lord Vortech''': I can feel everything! Control EVERYTHING!!!
* HelmetsAreHardlyHeroic: Lampshaded by Wyldstyle in the announcement trailer.
--> '''Wyldstyle''': Okay, so here's the deal. There's this real bad dude, wears a helmet, he's been tearing rifts between all the Lego worlds.
* HumanoidAbomination: He shares the same design as any other minifig, but he's made of some strange matter, capable of radically altering his size, and if shattered or smashed will just pull himself back together in no short order.
* InTheirOwnImage: What Lord Vortech plans to do throughout the game, using the [[MacGuffin Foundation Elements]] to gain the power needed to destroy all universes and create a single ‘perfect’ one in their place.
* ItsAllAboutMe: When all is said and done, the only thing that matters to Lord Vortech is Lord Vortech.
* KnightOfCerebus: The most powerful and dangerous villain of not just ''LEGO Dimensions'', but the entire LEGO franchise. He's powerful enough to employ other villains into his service, and threatens to destroy the entire LEGO multiverse.
* LaserGuidedKarma: [[spoiler:The heroes punish him for kidnapping and imprisoning their friends by sealing him in a rift loop for all eternity. Lampshaded by Batman right beforehand]]:
-->'''Vortech''': ''[[OhCrap What? W-what are you doing?!]]''\
'''Batman''': Giving you what you wanted, Vortech- ''perfection''! ''The perfect prison''!
* MadeOfEvil: Exactly what Vortech is made isn't clear, but one piece of it [[spoiler:is enough to fuel the Tri, and it's pretty dangerous to be near]].
* MalevolentMaskedMan: He wears a creepy golden mask over his head.
* MasterOfDisguise: He disguises himself quite a number of times over the course of the game.
* OmnicidalManiac: He wants to combine all universes into a single, "perfect" one.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Vortech spends a lot of the game sitting on his throne, only directly attacking the heroes twice, at Hill Valley and then in Scooby Doo's world. It's justified, since the means he used to find Foundation Prime have apparently taken a toll on him, and occasionally cause him to lose control of his own body.
* OriginalGeneration: As with X-PO, Lord Vortech is a new character created for this crossover game.
* PullingThemselvesTogether: He spends much of the fight in Hill Valley doing this.
* TheSociopath: Being a [[{{Jerkass}} mean spirited]] and [[{{Sadist}} sadistic]] ControlFreak who [[BadBoss frequently abuses and belittles his allies]], and is perfectly eager to [[OmnicidalManiac destroy all universes]] in order to create one that’s [[ItsAllAboutMe more to his liking]], Lord Vortech is potentially one of the most evil characters that LEGO has ever created.
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:When the heroes destroy the Foundation of all Dimensions, he furiously screams at them for "destroying perfection", and decides to just squash them where they stand.]]
* YoureInsane: Wyldstyle says this of him when he [[spoiler:forcibly merges their friends to create the Tri]].
