!New Kingdom of Valla

!!King Corrin of Valla

TheHero of this post-game story. He's the bringer of peace between Hoshido and Nohr, slayer of Anankos, savior of the world, and (eventually) the King of the new Valla. A very kind, charismatic, social, and upbeat individual, though he can also be a bit of a dork. Is married to Azura as of Chapter 9.

The revelation that he's Anankos's son worries him greatly, and his CharacterArc revolves around coming to terms with this while also handling his new responsibilities as king.
----
* BigBrotherInstinct:
** Corrin is very protective of his adoptive little sisters, Elise and Sakura. He dislikes the thought of them going to Hoshido and Nohr as ambassadors because he won't be able to protect them.
** As soon as he learns of his relation to Lilith, he immediately takes steps to protect her from the Vallites holding a grudge against her.
* CuddleBug: Likes cuddling with Azura while they're in bed together.
* DarkSecret: He's actually Anankos's son. If word about this got out, it could easily ruin his efforts at rebuilding Valla as well as destroy his life.
* DivineParentage: Corrin's father was Anankos, who was basically a dragon god.
* Flight: Corrin is able to fly by sprouting his dragon wings.
* GameBreakingInjury: In chapter 14, spoiler:Jiro takes a cheap-shot at him and impales him with a Dragonpike, nearly killing him. Corrin is rendered comatose for two months, and when he wakes up, he discovers that the Wyrmsbane has damaged his heart, and his sword arm was also broken and suffered permanent nerve damage.
* GoingNative: He embraced Nohr's culture during his captivity there, and prefers to go by his Nohrian name of Corrin rather than his Vallite/Hoshidan name of Kamui.
* GoodCannotComprehendEvil: He challenges Jiro to a duel, expecting him to adhere to Hoshidan honor and gracefully accept his defeat. This bites him in the ass big-time when upon his defeat, Jiro . When he awakens in Chapter 15, Azura calls him out on it, telling him he has to accept that not everyone is as good-hearted as he thinks.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Corrin is a half-dragon, as his mother was human and his father was a dragon. He looks like a normal human outside of his pointed ears and somewhat slit irises, but he is able to partially or wholly transform himself into a dragon.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: Played with. Many of the nations afford him proper respect now that the truth about the war with Valla is out, and the Vallite slaves he helped rescue are particularly fond of him; however, many of the Hoshidan and Nohrian lords who ended up under his reign resent and dislike this, and by proxy him.
* IAmNotMyFather: Corrin's greatest fear, upon learning that Anankos was his father, is that he will someday end up as insane and evil as him. He decides to not let that happen if it's possible.
* IHaveManyNames: Corrin has 3 different names due to his adoption into the Hoshidan and Nohrian royal families, and will get a fourth once he marries Azura. His original Vallite name was Kamui Rheos, his Hoshidan name was Minamoto Kamui, and his Nohrian name is Corrin Aurelius. He plans on retaking his Vallite last name when he marries Azura while retaining his Nohrian first name, so he'll also be known as Corrin Rheos.
* LoveMakesYouDumb: Even though he and Azura are in a very serious relationship, he can still get a bit flustered and be something of a dork around her. His attempt at being romantic just before consummating his marriage falls flat, but Azura doesn't care and is just happy to be with him.
* NiceGuy: He is unfailingly kind and patient to everyone.
* SillyRabbitIdealismIsForKids: In chapter 15, his belief that Jerkass Jiro would actually adhere to Hoshidan armor and take defeat gracefully is proven completely false, and nearly gets him killed. Azura even calls him out on it, lecturing him on how stupid he was to think that Jiro wouldn't pull something like that.
* SkilledButNaive: He's a good swordsman with dragon powers and a keen tactical mind, and personally defeated Anankos and ended his reign of terror, but he has a rather bad habit of underestimating just how evil some people can be. Best shown in chapter 15; he challenges Jiro, a Jerkass daimyo who openly hates Nohrians and has been actively plotting against him the entire time, to a duel, expecting that Jiro would actually adhere to Hoshidan armor and accept his defeat gracefully. He's proven wrong in the worst possible way when, upon being defeated, Jiro spoiler:impales him with a Wyrmsbane pike the very second Corrin turns his back, sending him into a coma and very nearly killing him; Corrin survives, but suffers permanent damage to both his heart and sword arm. When he wakes up, Azura and several of his siblings chew him out over it, lecturing him on how stupid he was to think Jiro wouldn't pull off such a dirty tactic and telling him he has to accept that not everyone is as honorable and good-hearted as he thinks they are.
* StepfordSmiler: It's shown that while he faces his own share of inner turmoil and anger, he has to don a kingly mask most of the time and not let on to how troubled he is.
* VoluntaryShapeshifter: Using his dragonstone, Corrin is able to completely or partially transform himself into a dragon.

!!Princess Azura Rheos of Valla, Nohr and Hoshido

The Deuteragonist of this post-game story and Corrin's wife. Her experiences have made her into a very aloof and stoic person with social anxiety, but when it comes down to it she does care about others. Her CharacterArc revolves around her learning to be more social and expanding her circle of friends.
----
* BrokenBird: Her time in Nohr and Hoshido left her with a cynical outlook on the world, social anxiety, and trust issues. As a result, she's not very expressive in public and tends to avoid getting into social situations that don't involve Corrin or her sisters.
* BrutalHonesty: She's more than a bit tactless, such as when she straight-up tells Corrin she doesn't want to be queen of Valla without realizing it could be interpreted as her not wanting to marry him.
* GoodIsNotSoft: She notes that Corrin would n the rebels. , however, so the decision falls on her shoulders. They hang.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Having been alone most of her life, she really does desire companionship; however, she has a difficult time bringing herself to open up to people. She is genuinely trying to befriend Felicia and Mozu, though, and does manage to relax a bit around them.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Knows her poor social skills, coldness and BrutalHonesty causes her to sometimes be a bit harsh with her words without meaning to, and tries to keep it in check.
* NightmareFetishist: She enjoys reading creepy or spooky stories and getting scared from them.
* TheStoic: Actively cultivates a calm, composed mask to hide her emotions from people.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Around most, she's aloof, distant, reserved, and curt. Around those she loves, she's much warmer; she's openly affectionate around Corrin and is seen giving the royal siblings a brief but heartfelt hug when they depart.

!!Lilith

Corrin's sister, created by the insane Anankos sometime after his soul was discarded from his body. She used to work as one of his underlings, but eventually abandoned him to go help Corrin.
----
* AscendedExtra: She completely disappears from the narrative in the game's 'Revelation route, but the fic gives her a prominent role trying to atone for her past misdeeds.
* TheAtoner: She deeply regrets the things she did while working for Anankos, and joined Corrin to help atone for those actions.
* CharacterTics: When she gets nervous, she starts playing with her hair braid.
* HiddenDepths: Turns out she's a rather skilled artist, able to draw Anankos's human face from memory.
* ReformedButRejected: Lilith regrets her actions during her service under Anankos, and has done her best to make up for it by helping Corrin. While Corrin forgives her when he finds out about her past, the Vallites are not as kind and act hostile towards her.
* SympathyForTheDevil: Corrin notes that she seems sad at Anankos's death in the first chapter, which he later learns is because of her history with him.

!!Felicia

A woman from the Ice Tribe that's one of Corrin's many retainers and the twin sister of Flora. She's a huge klutz with a knack for screwing up her chores or just being incompetent, but is slowly improving and has a good heart. Is in a relationship with Kaze.
----
* Bookworm: She loves to read, especially about far-off places.
* IAmNotPretty: Felicia is not very confident about her physical appearance, considering herself only cute at best.
* AnIcePerson: Has the ability to create and control ice due to being from the Ice Tribe.
* TheKlutz: Known for being clumsy, which often causes her to mess up her duties. She's making progress on becoming more coordinated.
* TheMedic: She has some training as a healer, which she puts to good use to treat a poisoned Lilith.
* NiceGirl: She cares about the happiness of others, and actively goes out of her way to befriend the shy Mozu and the socially-awkward Azura.
* ShipperOnDeck: Teases Mozu about her relationship with Silas when they're talking in Chapter 2, and also encourages Flora to go for Jakob in Chapter 8.

!!Mozu

A Hoshdian peasant girl whose village was destroyed by Faceless. Since she has nowhere to go after the war and made a bunch of new friends during her time in Corrin's army, she decides to settle down in the new Valla and eventually becomes Azura's retainer. Can be very shy and has some self-confidence issues. Is in a relationship with Silas.
----
* HumbleHero: While her self-confidence has slowly improved thanks to her relationship with Silas, she's still rather modest, and is very surprised when Azura asks her to become her retainer.
* StartingANewLife: Since her home was destroyed, she starts anew in Valla after the war is over.
* UptownGirl: Trope. She's a Hoshidan commoner that fell in love with Silas, a noble from Nohr.

!!Suzukaze "Kaze" of the Saizo Clan

A Hoshidan ninja that became Corrin's retainer during the war. He's a pretty reserved person, but not to the point of being a stoic like Azura is. Is in a relationship with Felicia.
----
* InSeriesNickname: FanFic/TheInvisiblePrincess stated that his real name is Suzukaze, but he just goes by Kaze.
* Ninja: A master of stealth and user of shuriken.
* TheSpymaster: One of his jobs is to run Valla's spy network and gather intel for Corrin.
* StealthHiBye: His ninja training allows him to appear seemingly out of nowhere or disappear from sight so quickly that it looks like he's teleporting. His sudden entrances in particular tend to startle others.

!!Silas Chalon

Corrin's Nohrian childhood friend, reunited due to the events of the war. Since his parents' estate is in the territory gifted to Corrin to help recreate Valla, he's "stuck" being Corrin's retainer. Is in a relationship with Mozu.
----
* BlueBlood: He comes from a Nohrian noble family.
* FirstNameBasis: Silas is not bound to using honorifics around Corrin due to their friendship.
* StarCrossedLovers: Defied. Silas worries that, between he and Mozu hailing from not just different countries, but different social statuses, his parents will disapprove of their relationship. He privately vows that he'll elope with her if that happens, only for his parents to be completely fine with them anyway.
* UptownGirl: Trope. He's a Nohrian noble that fell in love with Mozu, who's a Hoshidan commoner. Her social status partially fuels his fear that his parents won't approve of her.
* YouAreTooLate: He is unable to defeat Haitaka fast enough to prevent him from .

!!Jakob

A butler that has served Corrin as one of his retainers ever since his days at the Northern Fortress. Very competent at his job, takes his duties seriously (to the point of being a workaholic), and viciously loyal to his liege.
----
* IHaveNoSon: Inverted. He, like the other Northern Fortress servants, considered Gunter a father figure. After Gunter's betrayal, Jakob speaks to him only long enough to say he's dead to him.
* ObliviousToLove: Felicia says he's too dense to realize that Flora loves him, a fact that is obvious to other people.
* UndyingLoyalty: He lives and breaths to serve Corrin.
* Workaholic: While everyone else rests after the fight against Anankos, he continues to do his normal duties. Corrin suspects that Jakob even ignored his suggestion to find time for a break.

!!Flora

A woman from the Ice Tribe that's one of Corrin's retainers and Felicia's twin sister. A lot more competent than her sister when it comes to being a maid and overall more composed, though she's less talented at combat.
----
* AnIcePerson: Like Felicia, she has the ability to create ice due to being from the Ice Tribe.
* TheAtoner: She regrets her betrayal of Corrin during the war, so she's sticking around in Valla to serve him and make up for it.
* EveryoneCanSeeIt: Apparently Felicia and Corrin have been aware of her feelings for Jakob for years.

!!Nestor

The chamberlain of the Royal House of Valla, originally employed during Arete's reign and rehired by Corrin. He's among the many Vallites that survived Anankos's rule, though he was also among those kept captive as the dragon's playthings and fodder. He's usually a calm, professional, and polite person.
----
* FaceHeelTurn:
* JadeColoredGlasses: Nestor isn't the most optimistic person due to his experiences as one of Anankos's captives. He's initially suspicious of Corrin and Azura when they appear to free the slaves, asking for proof of their intentions, and has a hard time buying that is reformed.
* TheJeeves: Composes himself as perfectly polite and well-mannered, has served two generations of Vallite royalty, offers Corrin emotional support and advice, and is competent enough that Corrin's comfortable with entrusting him to the majority of castle duties during his brief sojourn around Valla.
* OldRetainer: He's in his mid-forties and served Azura's mother.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: He's a pretty composed person, but seeing causes him to lose his temper and shout.

!!Diamyo Tanaka Jiro

A Hoshdian nobleman whose estate was within the territory that Ryoma gifted to Corrin. Incredibly racist, he resents Corrin due to his obvious preference to his Nohrian upbringing and plots with Laurel to assassinate him.
----
* AssholeVictim: In chapter 15, Azura . Considering what a racist Jerkass and SmugSnake Jiro is, and the fact that he was a DirtyCoward and SoreLoser who , he really had it coming.
* DirtyCoward: When he loses a duel to Corrin, Jiro spits all over Hoshidan honor and .
* EveryoneHasStandards: He hates the idea of being under Corrin's rule, but he also knows that talking about anything resembling treason is a very bad idea. The delicate conversation he has with Laurel only continues because she knows that Corrin is Anankos's son, and that information could feasibly be used to remove Corrin.
* FantasticRacism: He freaking hates Nohrians, and considers Corrin to be nothing but a sell-out.
* HateSink: Since fellow antagonist Laurel is a WellIntentionedExtremist with a DarkAndTroubledPast, Jiro is written to be the unlikable antagonist that receives scorn from readers. He's a racist jerk that's self-serving and opportunistic with an inflated sense of self-worth.
* Jerkass: He's openly rude to Corrin during his visit and is racist towards Nohrians.
* OpportunisticBastard: He doesn't really have a plan to dethrone Corrin, and is just assisting Laurel's for a chance to seize the throne of Valla for himself.
* SmugSnake: He has an inflated sense of self-importance and honestly thinks he could take on Corrin in a fight, but it's pretty clear that he's not as relevant or skilled as he thinks he is.
* SoreLoser: Hoshidan honor demands gracefully admitting defeat after losing a duel. Jiro does not do Hoshidan honor.

A mysterious woman that is heavily implied to have been one of Anankos's spies. She knows of Corrin's relation to the mad dragon god and, fearing for the future and safety of the new Valla, seeks to dethrone him and put Azura back in power.
----
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Laurel lost everything when Anankos took over Valla and became one of his servants to ensure her survival.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: She wants Corrin gone and conspires to dethrone him, but she's only doing so because she believes it's in the best interest of the future of Valla.

!Other

An elderly Nohrian knight who was one of Corrin's retainers, but was tempted to betray him by Anankos. While he decides to leave Corrin's service after the war ends and Valla is founded, he still provides Corrin with indirect and anonymous aid.
----
* TheAtoner: Gunter is unable to forgive himself for what he did during the war, so he does his best to indirectly assist Corrin from the shadows as a form of atonement.
* ButNowIMustGo: Once again, he decides to leave after all is said and done since he worries about the negative effects his presence might have on Corrin's image. However, this time he agrees to keep in touch with Corrin.
* OldRetainer: Gunter is quite old, but he's still capable of fighting.
* ParentalSubstitute: He basically raised Corrin, Jakob, Felicia, and Flora while they stayed in the Northern Fortress. Corrin considers Gunter to be his father, and it's implied Jakob feels the same way even if he doesn't show it.
