He plans on retaking his Vallite last name when he marries Azura while retaining his Nohrian first name, so he'll also be known as Corrin Rheos.
31	* LoveMakesYouDumb: Even though he and Azura are in a very serious relationship, he can still get a bit flustered and be something of a dork around her. His attempt at being romantic just before consummating his marriage falls flat, but Azura doesn't care and is just happy to be with him.

Best shown in chapter 15; he challenges Jiro, a {{Jerkass}} daimyo who openly hates Nohrians and has been actively plotting against him the entire time, to a duel, expecting that Jiro would actually adhere to Hoshidan armor and accept his defeat gracefully. He's proven wrong in the worst possible way when, upon being defeated, Jiro [[spoiler:impales him with a Wyrmsbane pike the very second Corrin turns his back, sending him into a coma and very nearly killing him; Corrin survives, but suffers permanent damage to both his heart and sword arm.]] When he wakes up, Azura and several of his siblings chew him out over it, lecturing him on how stupid he was to think Jiro ''wouldn't'' pull off such a dirty tactic and telling him he ''has'' to accept that not everyone is as honorable and good-hearted as he thinks they are.
