[[folder:The Masters]]
!!Aaron Skyfield, Master of Diomedes, King of Argos

-->''"An inferior being such as yourself should be smarter than this. Just die, will you?"''

Aaron seeks perfection more than anything. His quest saw him banished from the Magic Association after they discovered his research. Aaron had been studying the Dead Apostles, and using his own powers of biomancy, was on the threshold of becoming one himself. The Association foiled his plans however, and now he seeks the Grail to claim what slipped through his fingers.

----

%%* BadassInANiceSuit
* BodyHorror: It took Aaron years to get his body into the shape its in, and to improve it requires hours of concentration and intense pain as he manually changes his own body's makeup.
* GoalOrientedEvolution: Aaron, though not a full Dead Apostle, considers himself better than every other human he meets. He plans to use the Grail to make himself into a full Dead Apostle, or perhaps even greater.
** Now that he is a Dead Apostle, he'd like to stay that way. Unfortunately this involves "[[IAmAHumanitarian feeding]]".
* HealingFactor: A ridiculously effective one now that he's a Dead Apostle. Got a weapon that leaves unhealing wounds? Aaron will ditch the whole limb to bypass it.
* ImmuneToBullets: His bones at least. His skin is nothing special.
* PragmaticVillainy: He knows when its time to suck it up and apologize, as he did after his fight with Mike. Though its more because Jeanne could kill him in seconds than it is any feeling of guilt.
%%* RedOniBlueOni: The red to Diomedes's blue.
* SuperStrength: Oh yes. Enough to kill a human with a single punch.
* UnskilledButStrong: He has no trained fighting skills at all, and no weapons. Good thing he can hit like a train.
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: The more he gets hurt, the less control he has over his physical form, the less control he has, the more insane he gets.

!!Emilia Archibald, Master of Enkidu

-->''"Here in this city, I am king."''

The current head of the Archibald (not [[Literature/FateZero THAT]] Archibald) corporate empire, a family owned smorgasbord of big name corporations and franchises spanning almost a half a dozen generations, all the way back to the Industrial Revolution. Emilia's family is the wealthiest in the East Coast, if not the country, and she reigns over Archwood City like a king. At least, she likes to think she does.

While not a magus herself, Emilia possesses vast resources available to few other Masters, including almost complete control of Archwood's corporate resources and businesses, as well as a large number of armored vehicles, helicopters, and other specialty equipment all belonging to her privately owned and operated PMC. While she has little training in magic beyond what she managed to acquire in the process of preparing to summon Enkidu, she has extensive experience in finance and business, and can operate a number of special vehicles, in addition to having a large amount of firearms experience.
----
* BerserkButton: Snake presses a ''big'' one when he [[spoiler: blows up the Atlas Spire.]]
* CasualDangerDialogue: Delivers some of this to Shakespeare when she basically tells him she's going to hunt him down... just for interrupting her lunch.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Of a sort. She is completely incapable of understanding how Enkidu can be so completely at peace with nature, and abstain from the corrupt intricacies of modern society.

!!Gale Vallingtill, Master of Sir Kay

-->''"Are you stupid or something?!"''

Gale comes from a long line of mages that has practically died out. Being the very last of the the Vallingtill family line, Gale has lived on her own and in secrecy, in order to keep her special ability hidden. She practiced the arts of her family's healing magic for many years, even as a child, and eventually perfected it.

After being forced to kill a mage that was going to bring public attention to her existence to the Mage's Association, she found out from the dying magus that a war for the Holy Grail was going to begin. She's participating in the Holy Grail War in order to fulfill her wish to be genuinely cared for as a human being, something she has never ''once'' had the pleasures of experiencing due to being treated as just a ''tool for healing'' by her friends, the Mage's Association, and even her own parents.

A not-so ClassyCatBurglar who's built a lifestyle around [[FavorsForTheSexy exploiting men]], Jesse is the second richest person living in Archwood, and is looking to get richer. Quick. To this end, she's sought out the Holy Grail in an attempt to become the wealthiest person in history, thus proving once and for all she is quite possibly the most selfish person alive.

!!Kaleb
-->''"Oh, I do hope that you know that you're going to die now."''

The best way to describe Kaleb... would be that he's a bit of a Jerkass. He loves manipulating people, loves to see people suffer, loves to cause mayhem, and loves to break the rules. The only way for him to feel or experience any kind of happiness, is to see others suffer and whither in pain. Whether emotionally or psychically, he just loves to see people suffer... just so that he can get a bit of amusement from it.

After being gifted with his family's Crest, he came across a grimoire in his parents chest. Reading through it, he learned how to use necromancy. What he did next... well, to make things simple, let's just say that he resurrected a few corpses from a nearby graveyard, killed his own parents, and burned down his house... all with a cruel smile upon his face. He wishes to obtain the Holy Grail so that he can have it unleash ''all the evils'' upon the world... and have it provide him the greatest entertainment ever.

You could say that he's a Kotomine who has fully ''embraced'' in his dark inner self.
----

* {{Jerkass}}: He kills people, toys with women's hearts, cheats, and he would blatantly lie and insult people just to get a kick. He then takes this up to eleven by licking the tears off one of his victim's face.

-->''"I'm Mike. I'm here to save the wooooooorld."''

A young Magus whose parents experimented on in order to awaken his Origin, "Honesty". It went horribly wrong when Mike became consumed by his Origin and began killing "liars", starting with his parents, often in the most gruesome ways possible. Nowadays, he's a relatively obscure serial killer operating in Archwood. He wants to win the grail to eradicate all lies.

The son of Sir Ector, and Arturia's stepbrother, Kay is also one of her first knights and often works as her "bouncer" and bodyguard. Though he does not often show it, he really does care deeply for his sister.

!!Yamata-no-Orochi
-->''"Can we go to the party, Master? Please, please, please, please, plleeeeeaaasssseeeeee~?!"''

The very same legendary eight-headed dragon who was only able to be slain by the legendary storm god, Susanoo, and after being tricked by him. Yamata-no-Orochi, or Yami as she calls herself, is a very... ''strange'' Servant to say the least. Unlike her legend, which portrays her as a violent and evil creature, she is surprisingly very kind and gentle... almost child-like even. However, it's debatable whether or not the 'kind and sweet' Yami is actually the 'real' Yami. Either way, the cheery Servant usually has an excuse for anything she does... and will beg and plea until her wishes come to fruition.

She lives up to her name as a 'Hero-Killer', being capable of literally knocking down ''all'' the other Servants', including even the fastest of the Servants, Agility down many ranks along with being able to create mighty storms with just a single swing of her legendary sword which is literally a part of her; Kusanagi, The Grass-Cutting Sword.
----
%%* BadassAdorable
* BeneathTheMask: Yami has a hidden serious side which she only shows when she's taking an opponent ''very'' seriously, or it is someone who she holds a strong grudge towards.

%%* CuteClumsyGirl
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Specifically the moment where Susanoo killed her 'sisters', and she was powerless to stop him due to him tricking her.
* JabbaTableManners: This is played so straight during her first visit to a restaurant, that the scene was compared to a pack of wolves eating a buffalo...
* JackOfAllStats: As a Saber, she has naturally high, yet fairly balanced stats, minus Luck, thanks to her status as a true dragon.
* PowerOfTheStorm: She's able to control the storms themselves, along with winds thanks to Kusanagi, or Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi; The Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven.
%%* TheKlutz
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Slightly subverted, in that Yami can speak to animals... but she tends to mess things up.
* SendInTheClones: Not exactly clones, but one of Yami's Noble Phantasms allows her to summon her seven sisters... who all look ''exactly'' like Yami, except more serpent-like.

The Servant of Jessica Harway, and the same Archer of ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' fame. What exactly he's doing here with no Shirou to be found isn't really clear, but it seems he hasn't changed a bit.

%%!!Sir Bedivere
!!Diomedes

Diomedes is a Greek Hero that fought in UsefulNotes/TheTrojanWar, commonly thought of as the second greatest warrior and tactician in the Greek host behind Achilles and Odysseus respectively. He is most well known for defeating both Hector and Aeneas, as well as wounding Aphrodite and Ares within minutes of each other.

Diomedes is a liar, first and foremost. Its reflected in his skills and Noble Phantasms, and everything he does in battle is done to mislead a foe. His main skill is King of Tactics, which grants him the ability to use the skills of any class, save for Caster or Berserker. Combined with his Noble Phantasm, Armory of Hephaestus, Diomedes is able to disguise himself as any class. This pairing of skill and Phantasm only exists to hide his true weapon, the Lance of Athena, which can pierce through armor as if it wasn't there at all.
----
* BadassInANiceSuit: Like his Master, he enjoys modern fashion to a remarkable extent.
* BlingOfWar: Averted and played straight. Averted in that Diomedes's Noble Phantasms are all plain looking weapons, meant to disguise how powerful they are. However, his armor is black with gold trim.
%%* BodyguardingABadass: While not weaker than Aaron, Diomedes doesn't have to babysit him.
* BowAndSwordInAccord: In addition to his sword, he has his spear and a belt of daggers.
%%* ConsummateLiar: Oh yes. He is not incapable of telling the truth however, and doesn't really enjoy lying overtly.
%%* ForgedByTheGods: His Armory of Hephaestus.
%%* GoKartingWithBowser: As a cultured Hero, fighting isn't everything. Diomedes wants to enjoy his time in the world again. Fighting is only one of life's joys.
* HelmetsAreHardlyHeroic: Averted, while he is a Greek hero, he knew that armor and helmets were absolutely necessary. What is he, Achilles?

!!Enkidu

-->''"I enjoy the food as I eat it. I like the feel of clothes as I wear them. But once I'm full I don't need any further food until I get hungry again. If I wear too many clothes at the same time it starts to feel uncomfortable. Why more clothes when one is all I need? And I find something something else I want to wear then I'll wear it and enjoy it while it last. I'll always remember the enjoyment I got out of things... but why dwell on that and leave them somewhere I might get them again when I'm enjoying something else at the time?"''

The wildman befriended by the great king Gilgamesh, and perhaps his only equal in the world, Enkidu is quite possibly the strongest Servant in the war, possessing both terrifying stats and an excellent Noble Phantasm. His abilities far outstrip most other Servants, and his Presence Detection ability makes it so no one can hide from him.

He has yet to take any significant action, however, strong as he may be. His Master, Emilia Archibald, seems as intent on playing by the rules as she is on breaking them, taking every opportunity to exploit the loopholes in the system while taking care to mind the restrictions. In a way, their strategy and their relationship mirrors that of Enkidu's last friend, Gilgamesh, to whom Emilia shares a queer resemblance. Who knows how this will turn out...

Yes, ''[[UsefulNotes/GenghisKhan that]]'' Genghis Khan. Summoned by Jozef Vlkov, Rider specializes in hit and run tactics, as is standard for her class. She has unusually high stats and Magic Resistance, and possesses an exceptionally strong Noble Phantasm in the form of The Army of the Khan, an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm which is exactly what it sounds like.

Often comes off as intimidating, especially towards her Master, and tends to act in a very bold, straightforward manner. However, she is by no means stupid, and is perhaps one of the War's most pragmatic Servants, intent on winning the War using whatever means she deems necessary. Her goal is to attain true incarnation, and conquer the world once again. She takes everything in her path and makes it hers, and lays to waste what she does not want. It is this combined with her tactical ability that makes her out to be one of the most potentially dangerous Servants currently on the board.
----
* BadassArmy: Her Noble Phantasm allows her to summon her entire army of Mongol warriors, now clad in spiffy spectral armor and riding demonic horses. However, the Phantasm's true potential is limited by her Grand Empire skill, as well as her overall mana capacity being far too small to sustain summoning all of them.

--> ''"Ha! Whatever you say,'' 'Master'''."''

The fabled demon king of the Indian epic poem, the Ramayana. He can best be described as the most unpleasant kind of likable person. He's an arrogant lecher who doesn't think very highly of humans, and responds to most requests with either sarcasm or casual insubordinance. However, on the flip side, he's very devoted religiously, being genuinely pious, and was a legitimately good king to his people, wise and fair. His personality is definitely flawed, but he remains amiable enough to like, despite his arrogance.

Ravana remains one of the oldest, and therefore most powerful Servants in the War. His primary offensive Noble Phantasm is his mount, the Vimana, a flying aircraft filled to the brim with ancient weaponry like [[LostTechnology magic machine guns and missiles.]] He himself is also a great threat, possessing excellently balanced stats and a support Noble Phantasm which renders him almost immortal.

!!Shapur I

Summoned by Micheal Oliver Jones and one of the greatest rulers of the Sassanid Empire, A bit different from the norm; Shapur is a very combat oriented Rider who isn't afraid of fighting dismounted and is more than capable of holding his own against even Saber-class servants due to his high endurance, heavy armor and good strength. His slow speed and relative lack of ranged weaponry round out his downsides, but his mount completely makes those weaknesses a moot point.

Generally, Shapur is an extremely loyal and trustworthy servant who is very easy to get along with due to him acting the role of servant to the fullest, which is to say that he will obey almost any order without question no matter how foul or evil and will unswervingly face great pain and suffering if it means the advancement of his master's goals. But he does have standards however, namely no children will ever come to harm whenever they're in his presence and will never side or associate with anyone who abuses or harms them. In battle and dealing with foes however, This eastern monarch is a mighty, unrelenting titan that shows absolutely no mercy to whomever stands in the way of his master's goals and will do whatever it takes to achieve victory, even going as far as to threaten an enemy master's loved ones or sacrifice his own well-being in order to gain an advantage.

* CombatPragmatist: Mentioned above, but has yet to show his credentials in this trope in the RP.
* DeTerminator: He eviscerated and burned his own leg in order to force Genghis Khan off her horse. It didn't work but it did show how much Shapur would sacrifice for victory.

* TranquilFury: As befitting a king, he does not explode in murderous fury when angered; instead he just focuses all his attention on what he wants dead ala a Franchise/{{Terminator}}.
* UndyingLoyalty: Says a lot about Shapur when he consistently stays loyal to a psychopath like Mike.

!!Theodore Roosevelt

--> ''"Bully!"''

The 26th President of the United States and the youngest Servant in the war, Roosevelt is the Servant of Noah, to his immediate concern. Loud and bombastic, Roosevelt ambitiously wishes for a revival of heroism, that ''anyone'' from ''any time'' could become a Heroic Spirit. He is also one of the more mundane Spirits, having no legendary weapon or mount, despite being a Rider.

!!Jack The Ripper

-->''"Hello. What can I do for you today?"''

The infamous serial killer who once stalked the streets of Whitechapel. Jack can assume any of the forms his legend has taken, giving him a diverse skillset, and a near perfect disguise. He is also capable of advanced magic surgery, and can deliver crippling blows to Servants with common kitchen utensils and hunting knives.

Jack does have a few quirks as a Servant, however. His disguise ability is actually the result of him being less a person and more of a spiritual entity, a creature beyond humanity forged of the souls of the victims the Ripper murders were pinned on. This is why he can take all of their forms, as he is literally one made of many. However, his personality still remains that of the killer Jack the Ripper, making him a human mind in charge of a very non-human body. In addition, due to Jack's crippling insanity and monstrous nature in life, being summoned as Berserker has actually had the opposite effect than intended, turning him into a calm and rational killer. Whether this is a change for the better or worse is... debatable.

* AxCrazy: The most famous serial killer of all time, folks.
* BloodierAndGorier: His summoning scene. Actually, scratch that. ''Everything about him.''
** During one scene, he slices a woman's throat open from the inside with a scissor blade inserted in the carotid, then cuts open her stomach and starts pulling out her internal organs. She's still alive during all this, mind you. Then we pan out and it's revealed he did this ''to an entire daycare center's staff.''
* BodyHorror: How he transforms himself. Namely, by bleeding out of every orifice while his skin cracks open and he bursts out of his own stomach like a chestburster.

-->''"I only wish to have a proper heir, one who I can be proud of and call my son... a young man strong enough to lead his country like his father, not some little frail girl!"''

Uther Pendragon, the Half-Dead King and The Dragon's Comet; a chivalrous king rivaled only by his daughter, Arturia Pendragon. His sense of values is that of a matured man who has a clear and righteous sense of justice. He's someone who would bring in all that upholds virtue and goodness, and will ascertain those that bring atrocity. He is the image of a hero one can feel good about, and respect. A true king.

Or, he would have, had he had been summoned as a Saber. The once proud king of Britain fell into madness as his kingdom started to fall into ruin. He despised the fact that no matter what he could do, his heir was to be a little girl. He continued to fight for his kingdom, refusing to let it fall into his daughter's hands.

Abandoning Caliburn, he found and took up Dainsleif. In his inevitable downfall, which may have been caused by his new unholy sword, he saw his whole kingdom get destroyed by invaders. With his dying breath, Uther cursed the world and fell into a fit of rage at how could fate allow such a thing to occur before his very eyes. What's left of the once Proud-High Knight-King, is nothing more than a tyrant who wishes to obtain the grail to make right what has been wronged; a new, and ''proper'' heir.

The famous English playwright. I'm sure I needn't say more, because you probably already know him.

As a Servant, Shakespeare is not the type suited for close combat [[spoiler: (this is evidenced by how he died)]]. He prefers to use trickery to assume different identities and roles, and defeat his opponents by engineering the perfect story, one with his Master as the protagonist. He can enchant objects, increasing their effectiveness and adding new abilities, and his Noble Phantasms, The Globe and the First Folio, allow him to disguise himself and warp reality to a limited extent, respectively.

-->''"Yes, this form suits you much better, I think."''

The grand witch of antiquity described in Greek mythology, Circe is feared by all who know of her. Daughter of the sun god Helios, she made a name for herself in life as the most powerful of eartly witches, as well as the aunt and mentor of the equally famous Medea. Her name is almost synonymous with peril, as courting her is akin to courting death (just ask Odysseus). She toys with people for her own amusement, and generally treats the safety of their lives as an afterthought (although chances are you do ''not'' want her to actually spend time considering the merits of killing you).

Circe practices the same powerful and lightning fast magecraft as her niece, and she can further amplify her abilities with her staff, her Noble Phantasm as well as the complete form of the dagger Rule Breaker. Using this combination, Circe can use magecraft which defies the laws of nature, bringing her spellcasting ability, which already skirted the line into True Magic as a practitioner from the Age of Gods, into truly miraculous territory, allowing her to perform feats which overwhelm the magic of normal mages.

-->''"Why do you all want to kill me? What did I ever do to you, huh?"''

Summoned by Evander Barthomeloi, and the same Servant who appeared in ''Literature/FateZero'', this Assassin's fracturing of his own psyche in life allowed him to master a multitude of disguises and skills. Each of his personalities is able to manifest separately as an individual Servant, but the result is that they're all incredibly weak by Servant standards, almost to the point of being normal humans. Assassin's one saving grace is an A+ rank in Presence Concealment, and Evander puts him to good use as a massive network of spies throughout the city. Unfortunately, the universe's idea of rewarding these efforts seems to be killing his bodies off in various unusual ways...
