14	* FreudianExcuse: All his flaws can be blamed solely on his upbringing. [[spoiler: His mother would get mad whenever he screwed up. She even told him that he shouldn't follow in his father's footsteps because his father was a genius while he isn't. His dad is just not there.]]

It's debatable if the change in personality is due to this trope or it was just that he always had a big ego and was just reserved in personality since he was new to camp. [[spoiler: Flashbacks to his life before camp seem to indicate that it might be a little bit of both.]]
