!!Characters in Blazing Transfer Student Reborn
[[folder: The Transfer Students]]
!!Tropes shared by all the transfer students
* EveryoneHasASpecialMove: All of the students demonstrate several special abilities, except for Shigeoka.
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: Shigeoka represents Red. Kotaki is a punk who represents Pink. Smart Nakama represents Yellow. Kiriyama, a self-styled {{Samurai}}, represents Orange. Fujii, the ProudBeauty aesthetician, who represents Blue. Kamiyama represents Green. Hamada represents Purple. Hikari represents the Rainbow.
* {{Foil}}: Kotaki and Hamada, leading to a rivalry in the first episode. Both are the best fighters of the group but while Hamada is a straight-laced boxer, Kotaki is a rebellious delinquent.
* LimitedWardrobe: Every character wears the same outfit each episode, something unusual for a live action show but makes a little more sense since the show is inspired by a manga. Although this is excusable in-universe, as they're wearing school uniforms at school.
* PlayingWithFire: Due to being Blazing Transfer Students, they have fire powers.
* SignatureMove: Like Takizawa in the manga, each boy is able to throw a National Railway Punch.
* TheChosenOne: One of the transfer students is this. It is eventually revealed that [[spoiler: none of them are actually TheChosenOne and are all promptly expelled from Tanebi academy afterwards.]]
* TheDanza: All of the characters use the same surname as their actors, likely because the actors are all well known singers.
* TransferStudentUniforms: All of the Kakerus wear their old uniforms, only changing them if the situation demands it (such as infiltrating an all girl's school).
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:The final episode has the group minus Shigeoka calls out Takizawa's calling them and then throwing them away after everything.]]

!!Kakeru Shigeoka
A very normal boy with absolutely nothing special about him. He has a massive crush on Hikari.
* BlatantLies: When Hikari says if he wins the fight against the other Takeru's, he can do anything to her. He lies that he's not thinking anything dirty .... as he's thrusting into the stripper pole.
* ChivalrousPervert: The first episode makes it obvious that he's interested in Hikari but he's never rude or aggressive with her.
* DeadpanSnarker: Due to be the OnlySaneMan, he's usually the first person to point out the insanity of the situation around him.
* DoggedNiceGuy: He has a very obvious crush on Hikari and does a lot of things to make her like him.
* JackOfAllStats: Shigeoka has completely equal stats, so while he's not great at anything he's not terrible either. Unfortunately for him, the other transfer students stand out more for their defined traits.
* LoveAtFirstSight: His crush on Hikari began the moment he saw her.
* OnlySaneMan: When thrown into a fighting ring with no context, Shigeoka is the only one who asks why they're fighting, making everyone realize that they are equally confused.
* RidiculouslyAverageGuy: Frequently brought up, especially in the first episode. Compared to the other transfers, Shigeoka's only notable quality is that he is normal. As Hikari puts it, "he has no presence"
** Shigeoka also seems to lack any unique powers, only demonstrating abilities that all of the transfer students possess.
* SingleTargetSexuality: He only has eyes for Hikari, so much so that she just has to act vaguely flirtatious to get him to do something.
* SkewedPriorities: [[spoiler:The final episode while the other Kakerus are annoyed that they were stringed along, Shigeoka is happy that he's not related to Hikaru.]]
* TheLeader: In the first episode, Shigeoka is the one who incites the others to escape and is typically the first one to make an offer.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Kamiyama, they seem to be the closest between the transfers.

!! Kakeru Kotaki
A delinquent from Northern Kanto.
* AttractiveBentGender: Considered to be the only transfer student who doesn't look terrible in drag.
* BloodKnight: He actually went back to the ring in the first episode when the students trying to stop him point out if he's going to fight, why waste his time trying to get out.
* CodeOfHonour: To never make a woman cry, keeps this written on a scroll in his jacket at all times.
* CutLexLuthorACheck: When infiltrating the Chaste Girl's Academy and talking to the leader, he considers them kidnapping a nice man to teach punk girls what relationships should be like so they don't end up with abusive men to be a rather justified reason.
* DelinquentHair: Sports a pompadour which he puts a lot of pride into. [[spoiler: Said pompadour has a lot of strange abilities attached to it; able to grow and be used as a melee weapons, grabbing a hold of it will effectively control Kotaki's movements like reins, and hitting on the top will make water shoot out of it like a water gun.]]
* HappilyAdopted/AdoptionDiss: [[spoiler: Kotaki grew up being told that his parents found him under a bridge but never makes any indication that his upbringing was positive or negative]]
* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: It's subtle but next to Fujii, Kotaki might be the most feminine transfer student, while still being one of the toughest.
** He puts a lot of care into his hair and becomes incredibly upset whenever it is messed with.
** Kotaki is considered to be one of the prettiest transfer students in drag, and when told that he looked pretty in drag he has a rather girly reaction.
** He is known by his gangster name as The Unicorn, likely for his pompadour, but unicorns are typically associated with girls.
* NotDistractedByTheSexy: When the transfer students originally meant to go to a school where the girl's uniform was bikinis failed to show up, Kotaki and Fujii were sent instead. The two are shown in a picture surrounded by girls in bikinis and neither appear too impressed.
** When timed to see how long each transfer student stared at a woman in a bikini, Tokaki came in second to last at .15 seconds (the other was the homosexual Fujii at 0).
* OhCrap: He makes this face when he accidentally throws a student off a floor.
* RealMenWearPink: It's his signature color.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Ruining his pompadour. When Jinguiji ruins his hair with his fans and then runs off, rather than chasing after him, Kotaki has Shigeoka and Kamiyama fix his hair. Happens again when infiltrating the Chaste Girl's Academy when his wig gets snatched. He exclaimed that he can't be seen before he styles his hair and goes into hiding. He only returns to rescue his friends once his hair is to his liking.
* TheBigGuy: Depends on the episode but shares this roles with Hamada. Kotaki is both the tallest and most aggressive transfer student.
* TheLancer: Depends on the episode but is the one who most often fulfills this role.
* ShipTease: With Asuka is episode 4. It ended with Asuka writing him a letter and him eagerly waiting for it.
* WouldntHitAGirl: Refuses to fight a girl, not because he is afraid of hurting them but because ever since he broke his best friend's heart as a child, Kotaki vowed to never make a woman sad again.

!! Kakeru Nakama
An intelligent boy with glasses capable of quickly calculating anything.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Parodied with his glasses. They can analyze anything but he usually to focused on the calculation to use it correctly.
* HotBlooded: He's not this regularly but [[spoiler:eating pages from the original manga,]] he's hyper Hot-Blooded.
* InsaneTrollLogic: When fighting the Blazing Transfer Student Imposters in a game of water chicken, Nakama [[spoiler: takes the original manga and begins to eat pages from it to show his respect to the source material and become the most blazing transfer student of all]]
* PaperThinDisguise: His disguise in episode 4 when he sneaks into a girls only high school is him in a dress and that's it. Lampshaded when he decides to reveal his gender, he does so by ripping off his wig that is the exact same as his hair.
* OddFriendship: Nakama is good friends with an American soldier named Nick, who is also a zombie hunter and teaches Nakama how to fight zombies over the phone.
* OnlySaneMan: If Shigeoka is calling people on the insanity going around, than Nakama is will point out how weird something was or question the logic of another character.
** NotSoAboveItAll: Nakama certainly has his stranger moments too, plus he was also just blindly accepting of being thrown into a fighting ring in episode 1.
* SuperDrowningSkills: Can't swim to save his life and is terrified of drowning.
* TheSmartGuy: He is so smart that he had the highest score out of 3 million students.
* ThatOneAttack: His secret move that he saved for the final episode [[spoiler: taking off his glasses and putting them on someone else. Because they don't have his prescription, they'll get dizzy.]]

!! Kakeru Fujii
A gay beauty-obsessed aesthetician.
* AgentPeacock: He’s extremely flamboyant, but when the situation calls for it can very capable.
* CampGay: When tested on who [[DistractedByTheSexy looked at the bikini model the longest]], Fuijii came in dead last with 0 seconds. This is despite his apparent obsession with “beauty” mind you.
* ChickMagnet: Out of the seven boys, he gets the most attention from the girls. Not that he wants any though.
* DefectorFromDecadence: Inverted, when Fuijii sees a school for gentlemen, he abandons Tanebi academy on the spot. Played straight when he returns to Tanebi.
* DistractedByTheSexy: He's the easiest affected by this.
** In the first episode, he lets himself be captured by the male swimming team because he finds them beautiful.
** His obsession with Ouji in episode 4 lead to the girls finding out that the Kakerus were boys.
** He instantly jumped ship when two good looking boys asked him to transfer ti their school.
* FormerlyFat: Revealed to be this in episode 6 [[spoiler: however, instead of being ashamed of this, Fujii believes that he was beautiful even then, citing that he grew plump and beautiful from his parent's love, and only lost the weight for health reasons. He even carries around several pictures of of himself from his middle school years.]]
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: He's blond and a nice guy ... to boys at least.
* LargeHam: Every single movement this boy makes is dramatic and over the top. Fujii can't even walk down a set of stairs without doing it with flair and gusto.
* MamasBabyPapasMaybe: Is unsure if his father is his biological dad since he is bald, Fuji could just be trying to assure himself that he will not go bald in the future though.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Most interactions with the rest of the group either have them weirded out by him or trying to dodge his kisses.

!! Kakeru Kiriyama
A lighthearted samurai
* BigEater: Often carries around a banana with him and is often seen trying to steal his classmate's food.
* BornInTheWrongCentury: He speaks and dresses like he came from medieval japan. Thus when he gets sent to medieval japan, he fits right in.
* ChivalrousPervert: When the transfer students are tested to see how long they stare at women in bikinis, Kiriyama comes in first at 14 seconds. That being said, Kiriyama in love with a girl named Oyuki, he legitimately values her and even proposes to her.
* TheChosenOne: For a prophecy that has nothing to do with Tanebi Academy. Kiriyama is revealed to be a legendary hero long prophesied by a family in Edo Japan [[spoiler: of course, that all turns out to be part of a game.]]
* TheDulcineaEffect: The minute Kiriyama sees Oyuki, he becomes obsessed with protecting her. [[spoiler:This doesn't end well.]]
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: Gets transported back to Edo Japan along with Hamada and Kamiyama, he likes it so much that Kiriyama is content to stay there forever.
* HammerSpace: Has no apparent pockets, and yet carried around an entire assortment of rice jelly on him.
* IdiotBall: When apparently transported back in time, Kiriyama [[spoiler: calls Nakama on his cell phone at one point and then fails to notice that the sacred sword had wires and a USB port on it]]
* InsaneTrollLogic: Comes to the conclusion that his foes will respond to authority, which he enacts with the power of rice jelly.
* OrnamentalWeapon: Carries around a very tiny katanna, which only gets used twice, the first time in the ring and the second time to slice a banana.
* {{Otaku}}: Episode 5 reveals that his personality is a result of being a huge fan of JidaiGeki dramas.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Bananas
* YankTheDogsChain: [[spoiler:Episode 5 had Kiriyama find a girl he loved and he was the big hero. Then it turns out it was just an amusement part and the girl was just playing a part. His crushed expression when the girl cheerfully points him to the exit just screams how much that had to hurt.]]

!! Kakeru Hamada
A boxer who always abides by the rules
* AdoptionDiss: [[spoiler: Whenever he got in trouble, Hamada's parents would tell him that he wasn't their real son and they found him under a bridge. It is unclear if they were actually serious about it or if this was just their way of making him feel bad for doing something wrong. Either way, it suggests a less than happy upbringing and possibly explains why Hamada refuses to break the rules.]]
* AttackItsWeakPoint: Does this in episode 2 to [[spoiler: the principal of the school the infiltrated by smashing his nuts]]
* AttractiveBentGender: Very much adverted, Hamada is possibly the most awkward looking as a girl.
* CovertPervert: He is surprisingly the second most perverted of the transfer students, much to his own shame.
* DudeInDistress: When seemingly finding himself in the Edo period, Hamada is unable to defend himself from minions with swords and is captured with ease.
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: Rules are rules and must never be broken, no matter what the circumstance is. Likewise, Hamada views the prospect of taking any performance enhancing drug to be wrong and refuses to do it, even if his opponent has and left him at a severe disadvantage.
* CripplingOverspecialization: Though he's a force to be reckoning with in a fist fight, Hamada is utterly useless in fights involving weapons, particularly with swords.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: When in the ring, Kotaki gives Shigeoka a bottle to fight Hamada with. Hamada simply says "That's definitely not in the rules" and lets Shigeoka smash the bottle on him, being completely unaffected by it.
* NoAccountingForTaste: When surrounded by zombie student in episode two, Hamada claims that they "don't look that bad" Naturally, the lunch lady gives him an odd look and then Hamada's subsequent confusion. This also foreshadows his perverted nature.
* NotSoAboveItAll: When he, Kamiyama, and Kiriyama see a sign in the woods labeled "Erotic" he runs off in that direction as quickly as the others.
* RulesLawyer: Quite a stickler for following the rules, Hamada is always quick to point out when someone is about to break them and will never do so himself even under dire circumstances.
** He won't even run in the hallway when zombies are chasing after him.
* TheLeader: Occasionally takes on this role,
* TheStoic: Usually the most calm and reserved of the transfer students.

!! Kakeru Kamiyama
A crybaby
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: The most likely to ask these, such as genuinely asking a spoiled brat if having everything done for him makes him happy.
* CantCatchUp: Is easily the weakest transfer student in a fight and was unable to use the power of the blazing transfer student during a volleyball game like Tokaki and even Shigeoka.
* TheCharmer: Surprisingly, he is well versed in talking to women he is interested in and can win their hearts easily.
* DudeInDistress: Gets kidnapped easily by thugs, to the surprise of no one in or out of universe.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: We meet Kamiyama dragging himself across the wrestling ring floor as he sobs and begs Shigeoka for help since he was the OnlySaneMan in the ring.
* TheHeart: The most emotional and sympathetic of the transfer students. Rather than try to solve his problems with wit, strength, or seduction, Kamiyama will try to talk to people on an emotional level.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Crying makes him stronger, with enough sobbing Kamiyama can spike a volleyball hard enough to render people hit with it unconscious.
* InformedFlaw: Apparently considered to be very ugly in universe, as shown by how grotesque a drawing of him is made to be while Hamada's looks fine. Aside from a terrible haircut and poor fashion sense, Kamiyama looks fine in real life.
* LikesOlderWomen: He's very attracted to middle aged women.
* TheLoad: In any sort of physical confrontation
* MakingASplash: Due to his crying, his final attack is water based instead of fire.

[[/folder]]
[[folder: Other Characters]]
!!Hikari [[spoiler:Takizawa]]
A mysterious girl working with Takizawa on something regarding the seven Kakerus.
* ActionGirl: The last episode shows that Hikari is a very dangerous fighter.
* EverybodyKnewAlready: Inverted. [[spoiler:When she reveals she's Takizawa's daughter, she thought they knew already.]]
* FemmeFatale: She has willingly used Shigeoka's crush on her so he'll listen to her. The first episode has her even promising to let him do anything to her if he wins the pro wrestling tournament between the seven Kakerus.
* MissingMom: [[spoiler:Averted. While Takizawa thought Yukari was this, Hikari reveals that Yukari and Hikari hang out a lot.]]
* SpinOffspring: [[spoiler:She's the daughter of Takizawa and Yukari.]]
