[[folder:The Young Protectors]]

The main protagonists of the series, they are team of six young adults, five boys and one girl, who specialize in search and rescues. Their ranks include: The Commander (Amanda), Red Hot (Kyle), Fluke (Paul), Spooky Jones, Tsunami (Gordon), and Flyboy (Mitch).
!!!'''In General'''
* ActionGirl: The Commander has contacts with the military and trained with the marines for 11 months.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Fluke is a NiceGuy, but don't mess with his friends or else.
* GeniusBruiser: Flyboy. He then team's technical expert and has proved that he has street smarts on top of it.
* HeroesOfAnotherStory: Spooky is a detective of sorts on the side, and Commander used to help her mom out at work. Spooky's side is show in full force in the Double Cross arc. Also, Flyboy had an entire adventure stopping a confrontation, saving part of a city from destruction and rescuing one of his friends in the span of Kyle having a date with Annihilator.
* {{Kid Hero}}es: Well, not really kids, as they are all young adults and two members are still teens, but otherwise they are defacto this trope.
* FiveTokenBand: Or rather, Six Token Band. The Commander is Native American and the only woman, Red Hot is gay, Fluke is black, Spooky is Chinese, Tsunami is Samoan, and Flyboy is white and a minor [[spoiler: and as of chapter 3 of Engaging the Enemy, we find out he's gay too]].
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: All except for Spooky were rejected as interns for adult teams of superheroes for one reason or another. Red Hot's past and psychological profile were considered worrisome, and Fluke was flat out told his powers would do more far harm than good. Their misfit statuses, as well as their young ages, make them not well liked by adult superheroes. Spooky is the exception, as adult teams would really like him to join their ranks, but he refuses.
** The Truth or Dare bonus comic sheds a bit of light on Tsunami and Flyboy. Flyboy had an internship with another superhero team, but was expelled for doing freelance crime-fighting. And while Tsunami never says clearly what happened, he was responsible for people he cared for getting hurt and he carries a lot of guilt for that.
* SecretIdentity: They're all quite liberal with using their real names even while on the job. [[spoiler: The Annihilator says their identities are an OpenSecret among superheroes and super-villains]], though it doesn't seem to put even the members of the team [[spoiler: older than eighteen]] in danger at all either. Which makes sense considering they're just a search and rescue team.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: They have only one female member, the Commander, though as she was the one who put the team together in the first place, she's their leader.
* SuperHeroOrigin: The bonus comic covers Spooky's as well as how he met the Commander.

!!!''Team Members''
!!!'''Kyle Conlen / Red Hot'''
Kyle is the main protagonist of the Engaging the Enemy arc and a member of the Young Protectors, the series' titular team of heroic young people. He is the hero known as Red Hot and is in possession of some pretty hot powers. However, Kyle harbors [[DarkAndTroubledPast many secrets and hidden fears]], one of which being that he is gay.

----

* BlessedWithSuck: His powers are connected to his emotions, which makes "alone time" hard to enjoy. [[spoiler:this gets solved by the end of the arc, though.]]
* BuffySpeak: Kyle slips into this on a few occasions.
* CelibateHero: He's afraid of having sex or any other sexual relations because he fears losing control of his powers during the act and hurting someone. His fears are justified by his DarkAndTroubledPast.
** Considering what happens on his 18th birthday when he loses his virginity to Annihilator - [[spoiler: getting ambushed and sent to Hell as part of a plan to help open a portal between it and Earth]] - it'd be a wonder if he didn't remain skittish about sex for some time afterward.
* ConvenientlyAnOrphan: Twice. What happened to his first parents is a mystery, but his foster parents [[spoiler: [[ParentalAbandonment abandoned him after]] he nearly killed them and their daughter while masturbating.]]
** [[spoiler: Later, his real father is revealed to be alive and well. He's a BigRedDevil, yes, but alive and apparently willing to make Kyle his heir. His mother is still a mystery, though just imagining who or what she could be brings several squicky thoughts to mind.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: His powers haven't exactly made his life easy.
* EmotionalPowers: Kyle's fire powers are linked to his feelings, [[BlessedWithSuck even pleasure]].
* FieryRedHead: He didn't seem like one at first, but proved otherwise [[spoiler: during his and Anni's fight with Hunter and Killer.]]
** [[spoiler: He seems level-headed for most of chapter 5, but when he sees Annihilator reverted to a teenager - who claims to not remember a thing, from his own name to anything else - Kyle snaps and accuses him of lying, and seems ready to outright deck the kid. And his fist is flaring up with a big-ass ball of flame, too.]]
* ForeShadowing: Kyle's first line in the entire comic, "Oh, to hell with it" is this.
** [[spoiler: The "Truth or Dare" bonus comic reveals that he and Spooky will sometimes share a bed, since Spooky gets cold very easily and Kyle's body temperature is apparently naturally quite high, which warms him. The audience is also shown that Kyle ''really'' enjoys it and will kiss the back of Spooky's neck at times. Along with a few other bits of banter, this can count as foreshadowing the reveal that Kyle's in love with Spooky. And, as of chapter 5, it seems to be very mutual.]]
* HalfHumanHybrid: Could be this if [[spoiler:his mom turns out human.]] Regardless of if she is or isn't, his dad is still a [[spoiler: Demon King.]]
* HellGate: He's [[spoiler: the key, or at least one step in the process, to opening it]].
* HoneyTrap:[[spoiler: Fell for one of these.]]
* InadequateInheritor: [[spoiler: Laampros, his father, believes he's this at first simply for being weak. [[BurningWithAnger When he proves otherwise]], he gives Kyle a bizarre SoProudOfYou moment, complete with TheReveal of his parentage and the declaration that Kyle may well be a suitable heir after all. [[YourApprovalFillsMeWithShame Cue Kyle's utter horror.]]]]
* InvisibleStreaker: His first date did not go well. Invisibility was involved. Of the sort that doesn't turn his clothes invisible as well.
* LukeIAmYourFather: When he gets pissed at [[spoiler: the Annihilator for betraying him]] and actually manages to burn him with his flames, despite [[spoiler: the Annihilator's noted NighInvulnerability]], Laampros is so impressed that chooses to reveal he is [[spoiler: Kyle's father with a tender kiss on the forehead and a WhamLine.]]
* MuggleFosterParents: Had some until his powers kicked in.
* PlayingWithFire: He has the ability to control fire.
* StealthPun: Kyle is gay and has fire-based superpowers. He's literally a flaming homosexual. Well, in a technical sense. Personality-wise, he's actually a...
* StraightGay: His typical demeanor does not suggest that he is gay.
* TheReveal: He is [[spoiler: the key to unlocking a portal that will allow the Demon King Laampros to come to Earth and wreak havoc there, eating and raping humans to his heart's content.]] Oh, and [[spoiler:Laampros]] [[ReallyRoyaltyReveal is also his dad]].

!!!'''Paul Nicholas Jackson / Fluke'''
Kyle's friend and fellow member of the Young Protectors. He is rather unlucky, [[NiceGuy but by choice]], and uses his powers to help others like the rest of his teammates.

----

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Don't mess with his friends.
* CursedWithAwesome: Zigzagged with BlessedWithSuck. Fluke has incredibly bad luck, but only so he can accumulate a mass of good luck to give to others to save their lives. One crashed, recently paid off car = saving people's lives from falling debris of a burning building. Seems like a pretty fair trade off.
* EquivalentExchange: His powers work by balancing luck, so he has to suffer some bad luck in order to pass along the good. Whether this can work the other way around hasn't been addressed yet.
** Tsunami implies it's perfectly possible for him inflict bad luck on people and put the odds in his own favor to get what he wants [[spoiler: like maybe a fight with the Annihilator and Platinum Priestess.]]
* HasAType: Apparently he likes redheads. And [[ShipTease no]], [[HoYay the point was not lost on anyone]].
* NiceGuy: Very easily one of these.
* {{Sidekick}}: He and Tsunami get the least screentime of the team members.
* WindsOfDestinyChange: With a slight drawback.

!!!'''Spooky Jones'''
Kyle's friend and fellow member of the Young Protectors. Spooky lives up to his name by being an expert at magic and the occult, and outside of his work with the Young Protectors, he often investigates things involving the paranormal.

----

* TheAce: He's one of the two true magic users on the planet. He's the most capable member of the team, so much he has rejected proposals to join adult teams multiple times. As Tsunami says, he's also full of sex appeal and incredibly easy to like, and when Flyboy gets himself in trouble he thinks that Spooky would be able to solve it in minutes without casualties.
* AscendedExtra: He and Flyboy were supporting characters in Embracing the Enemy, that was focused on Kyle. Then he starred in Past Sins, and now he and Flyboy are the main characters in Double Cross.
* BadassLongcoat: Wears a trenchcoat.
* TheCasanova: At least this is the perception Kyle has of him.
* CosmicPlaything: If Velliok is to be believed, there is something about him that makes him special and desirable for demonic powers.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: When he was thirteen he [[spoiler: spent a year in Hell.]] In his own words, he was the shiniest new toy they'd had there in awhile. This makes him very empathetic towards [[spoiler: Kyle's]] plight, as well as the trauma victims he deals with on a regular basis.
* EthnicMagician: His exact ethnicity is unspecified, but he's of east Asian descent.
* EvilIsDeathlyCold: Played with. One of the consequences of his time in hell is that he gets really cold when he sleeps, unless he's touching another person.
* TheHypocrite: He makes a few comments about "racial sensitivities" and is implied to be sensitive about his own nationality and ethnicity, but has no problem poking fun at others' ethnicity and/or orientation, albeit all in good fun.
* HiddenDepths: When he's not being the comic relief of the series, Spooky can be very insightful and mature. He's also quite empathetic and sympathetic towards others [[spoiler: mostly due to his own DarkAndTroubledPast]].
* HollywoodPudgy: Some care is taken to make shown that he's rather overweight, specially his teen version.
* IntimateHealing: Smooches Kyle to heal him [[spoiler:immediately after releasing all the souls meant to be sacrifices for Laampros in Chapter 5.]] It wasn't actually necessary, but why waste a good chance?
* LadykillerInLove: The second half of Legendary deals with this part towards Kyle.
* MeaningfulName: He got the name Spooky from his "spooky eyes".
* OccultDetective: His job outside the Young Protectors.
* OneHeroHoldTheWeaksauce: One of only ''two'' non-insane magic users on the planet, which, [[http://webcomics.yaoi911.com/typ/ete-ch3-page-51/ according]] to the other, should be impossible [[NeglectfulPrecursors given what happened]].
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Because, after escaping hell, he [[http://webcomics.yaoi911.com/typ/ete-bonus1-page-15/ doesn't know]] what his name used to be.
* PluckyComicRelief: He fulfills this role best out of all the members of the team.
* ReallyGetsAround: So har he's gotten action with Commander, Kyle and Flyboy. That's half of the YP squad (and basically every single member of it that is attracted to men)
* SubmissiveBadass: He's probably the most capable member of the team, yet he fully recognizes Commander's authority. Almost all the time, at least.
* ToHellAndBack: Age thirteen was not a good year for him.
* {{Ukefication}}: Prone to this InUniverse. It's his one complaint about [[YaoiFangirl the team's fanbase]].

!!!'''Amanda Charleyboy / The Commander'''
The leader of the Young Protectors and their only female member. She is a telepath and in charge of organizing and directing the team's movements when on missions.
* ActionGirl: She's the leader of the team and has military training. Her alias alone instills this image.
* AmicableExes: She and Spooky.
* BadassFamily: By the looks of her mom, she comes from one of these.
* CommandingCoolness: Her superhero name is ''The Commander'' and she's definitely cool.
* TheFettered: She has a strong set of principles and doesn't deviate from them.
* FormerTeenRebel: Averted. When she was fourteen she stole a car and was caught by the police, but the cops didn't treat her like a criminal like she thought they would, nor did she do it with any criminal intent. The police thought she was a MilitaryBrat from the base acting out for attention when she really stole the car because she thought she had to in order help someone.
* GuyOnGuyIsHot: her perspective, at least where Spooky is involved.
* IGaveMyWord: She's adamant on not breaking her promises during the Truth Or Dare bonus comic.
* TeamMom: She's largely the OnlySaneWoman of the team, and in charge of keeping the guys in line.
* {{Telepathy}}: She's actually a telepath.
* [[SensibleHeroesSkimpyVillains Sensible Heroine, Skimpy Villainess]]: She's the former to the Platinum Priestess' latter. Specifically, her outfit appears to be based on a military uniform of some sort while the Priestess sports a ChainmailBikini.
* SupportingLeader: She doesn't really get protagonism (except for sharing an arc with Spooky), but she's still in charge of the team, and even in Double Cross when there is no team, she calls a lot of the shots with Spooky.

!!!'''Gordon / Tsunami'''
One of the oldest members of the team.
----
* TheComicallySerious: To the point where the entire team is stunned by him cracking a joke in chapter 5. [[spoiler: Probably amplified by the fact that he was making a light-hearted crack about Spooky kissing him to heal his injuries from battle.]] His response is basically a sheepish, "What? I can make jokes, too."
* NobleBigot: Tsunami is the only member of the team to display outright disapproval at Kyle being openly gay to the team, his reasons being because the team includes Flyboy who's a minor.
** [[spoiler: As of chapter 5, he's come around and tells Kyle that he doesn't care what Kyle is - both in terms of his sexuality ''and'' his demonic heritage. In fact, his only objection to seeing Spooky and Kyle [[IntimateHealing kiss]] in front of everyone at that point seems to be the fact that the other teammates are still injured and in need of Spooky's healing magic as well, and the hostages are still tied up. He even manages to make an honest-to-god joke about how he'd just prefer that Spooky use a little less tongue when healing him.]]
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Given his biased views and caustic personality, he's not exactly the most popular member of the team.
** [[spoiler: Seems to be moving past this as of chapter 5, where he - of all people - gives a very effective YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre speech to Kyle as the latter is facing off against Laampros and trying to fight off the demon king's influence.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's writing as downright unlikeable during the first part of his appearances in Engaging The Enemy, but the later part of the arc shows how much he actually values his teammates.
* MakingASplash: He can control water and shape it into various objects.
* MyGreatestFailure: Is deeply ashamed of some (hitherto unrevealed) event in his past where (secret and unsupervised) vigilante activity on his part directly resulted in unspecified casualties. As such, he is NOT receptive to similar behavior from his teammates.
* SickAndWrong: He is not a fan of the team's [[YaoiFangirl fans']] artwork of them.
* {{Sidekick}}: He and Fluck get the least screentime of all the members of the team.
* TeamDad: Pretty much literally. He's the legal guardian along with Amanda of Kyle and Mitch and he cares a lot about the safety of the younger members of the team. This justifies his reaction to the team's fanbase's antics a bit more in hindsight considering they were pairing him with his legal wards.
** Though a degree of prejudice had a hand in it as well it seems.

!!!'''Mitchell Thibeau / Flyboy'''
The team's youngest member after Fluke, and their tech-expert.
----
* AscendedExtra: He and Spooky Jones were supporting characters in Embracing the Enemy, but then each got a mini-comic focused on him, and now they're the protagonists in Double Cross.
* GadgeteerGenius: Downplayed. He's the team's tech expert, but it took him a few days to find the deleted history on the team's computer that Fluke erased. Whether it took so long because he simply didn't have the time to do it earlier or it took some effort on his part is never made clear.
* GeniusBruiser: He's the team tech expert, but his powers have nothing to do with technology or intelligence, but physical feats.
* GetBackToTheFuture: His plot in Double Cross.
* GogglesDoNothing: Averted. He uses them when flying.
* HeroOfAnotherstory: The Flyboy bonus comic focuses on what he and Cory were up to right before Kyle's plot caught up with them.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: This attitude got him booted off his last superhero team and he's still not stopping.
* SpoiledSweet: He comes from a very privileged background, but the only times this comes over is when his wealth or contacts can be helpful to others.
* StraightGay: If [[spoiler: his confession is genuine]] and not just an attempt to make Kyle feel better.
** [[spoiler: Confirmed in his bonus comic - has a boyfriend named Cory, who also has powers of his own.]]
* SuperpowerLottery: He's the most overpowered member of the team, having supersonic flight, contact telekinesis and enhanced senses. In chapter 3 of Engaging the Enemy, his teammates conclude he would be the logical choice if one of them had to fight the Annihilator.
* TemporalSickness: [[spoiler:Past!Amanda concludes he is suffering cell damage due to "quantum friction" in Chapter 3 of ''Double-Cross'' while recuperating from his injuries.]]
* VigilanteMan: Spends his nights doing covert rescues and arrests. This actually led to him being kicked off a superhero team he was interning with.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Villains]]

What is a superhero comic without villains? These guys are, of course, the [[BigBad Big Bads]] of the series-[[AntiVillain or are they?]]-either way, they certainly aren't the good guys.

!!!'''In General'''
* [[VillainOfAnotherStory Villains Of Another Story]]: All the villains who've reared their ugly heads so far in the series are this.
* RefusalOfTheCall: A villainous example. Something big currently in the story has many superheroes and villains alike preoccupied. However, the Annihilator and the Platinum Priestess stayed behind [[spoiler: and as we find out, not because they weren't interested in a little villainy.]]

!!!'''Duncan Wells / The Annihilator'''
The first villain we're introduced to in the series and the main love interest of our protagonist Kyle, [[spoiler: [[RomanticFalseLead or so he seemed]]]]. Like Kyle, he has a DarkAndTroubledPast and some secrets, as almost all villains do, though even his secrets seem to have secrets lately.
----
* AmbiguouslyBi: He's gay [[spoiler: or at least he told Kyle he was]], but his exact relationship with the Platinum Priestess is left ambiguous. [[spoiler: They are at least co-conspirators in gaining immortality, and Laampros calls her the Annihilator's "sow", which can be interpreted a number of ways.]]
* AmbiguouslyEvil: His evilness is mostly an InformedAttribute [[spoiler: until the latter half of chapter two]].
* BadassInANiceSuit: When out of costume.
* AntiVillain: Initially displayed himself as a sort of PunchClockVillain with a FreudianExcuse. Later [[spoiler: this is revealed to be a ruse, but his goals are instead revealed to be altruistic, wanting to fix the walls of reality for humanity's sake. And he is having second thoughts about this]].
* CompensatingForSomething: His name makes it sound like he is, even in his own opinion.
* DealWithTheDevil: His intended gambit with Kyle involved this as a stepping stone.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: A more complex example with [[spoiler:his and Sircea's plan. Though ultimately it's a NecessaryEvil sort of situation, he clearly is having second thoughts about the lengths required to go there]].
* FaustianRebellion: ...but he and the Platinum Priestess aren't exactly planning on letting the demon have its way.
* FountainOfYouth: [[spoiler:He reverts to a twentysomething after the battle in Chapter 5 probably due to Laampros literally granting his desire of youth.]]
** [[spoiler: More like a teenager, as the notes apparently say he's supposed to look around 15-16.]]
* ImmortalitySeeker: He's getting on in years, so he makes a DealWithTheDevil for renewed youth and eternal life.
* LightIsNotGood: Somewhat. His white/blue/silver coloration isn't exactly your typical villainous pallet.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: The Platinum Priestess accuses him of having this in Chapter 3.
* NobleDemon: Sure he's working on selling out half the human race, but considering the alternative is [[spoiler: the entire planet being doomed]]...
* SchoolBullyingIsHarmless: His situation was a subversion of type 3. He was bullied as a kid for being weaker than other kids his age. [[ExtremeMeleeRevenge Then he got his powers.]] Sadly, this was his StartOfDarkness, as after the deed was done, he had to go on the run.
* StraightGay: [[ManipulativeBastard Or so he said.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler:His reason for selling the earth to the powers of hell is to have enough power to fix the walls of reality, which are crumbling. He is having second thoughts about it, though.]]

!!!'''Sircea / Platinum Priestess'''
A mystical villainess and acquaintance of the Annihilator. She has some history with Spooky apparently.
----
* AboveGoodAndEvil: Claims to be as such, citing that [[ValuesDissonance the exact definitions of both have been constantly changing across mankind's history]].
* AGodAmI: Though less powerful now than she once was, she has been worshiped as a goddess throughout the ages, and is ''quite'' comfortable with the label.
* AlliterativeName: '''P'''latinum '''P'''riestess.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: Somewhat. Her origins are shrouded in mystery, but we do know that she is (or was) immortal and has an intimate knowledge of the magics that govern reality.
* ArchNemesis: She is the closest thing to one Spooky has.
* BadassBoast: "...but have no doubt, I '''will''' be a goddess once more.
* BreakingSpeech: The Platinum Priestess knows [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone guilt]] when she sees it, and [[GetAholdOfYourselfMan isn't having any of it]].
* CoolCrown: Has one.
* ChainmailBikini: Wears what looks like one.
* GodGuise: Has been worshiped as a goddess multiple times in the past.
* HotWitch: Has remained a quite the looker despite being at least in her late 40's.
* ImmortalitySeeker: [[spoiler: Though unlike most, she's retrieving what she'd had before but lost.]]
* LadyOfBlackMagic: A beautiful and regal mystic sorceress who has been worshipped as a goddess.
* LargeHam: ''Especially'' during her rant against Duncan in chapter 3. She practically comes off like the offspring of Maleficent, Ursula, and Mother Gothel in terms of hamminess.
* LightIsNotGood: A white-clad, white-haired sorceress and consummate super villain, by reputation at least. [[spoiler: Exactly how "not good" she is isn't clear yet, though.]] Additionally, her magic powers are manifested by [[LightEmUp a bright white/silver]].
* MysticalWhiteHair: White haired sorceress.
* MeaningfulName: Sircea is pronounced the exact same way as Circe, the witch/goddess in The Odyssey.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: And ''quite'' attractive since she's actually [[spoiler: well over 6000 years old. Subverted slightly since she's only started to age in (relatively) recent memory.]]
* SensibleHeroesSkimpyVillains: She's the latter to the Commander's former. As mentioned, she wears a ChainmailBikini while Commander's costume bears a resemblance to some sort of military uniform.
* ShipperOnDeck: Ships Kyle x Duncan [[spoiler: for completely selfish reasons.]]
* UnlimitedWardrobe: Unusually for a supervillain.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler:She seeks to use Duncan's DealWithTheDevil to fix the walls of reality, though mostly because [[PragmaticVillainy it's easier to thrive in a world that's not another circle of hell]].]]

!!!'''Laampros'''
The GreaterScopeVillain of the series brought forth by the Annihilator and the Platinum Priestess in their quest for immortality and eternal youth. He is a King of Hell and evil as they come.

----

* BigRedDevil: He's big. He's red. He's a devil. Complete with horns and wings such-like.
* DisappearedDad: He may or may not be [[spoiler: Kyle's]].
* LukeIAmYourFather: He claims to be [[spoiler: Kyle's father]].
* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: He seems rather fond of it.
* SoProudOfYou: When [[spoiler: Kyle]] actually manages to injure [[spoiler: the Annihilator]], he has an apparent change of heart about [[spoiler: his "weak" son.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: Look out the amount of spoiler tags and try and say he isn't one.
* WillNotTellALie: It's a matter of pride.
* WhamLine: [[spoiler: "My darling son."]]

!!!'''Velliok'''
A duke of hell that has some unfinished business with Spooky jones. This conflict is behind the main plot on ''Past Sins'' [[spoiler: where it's eventually revealed that he has been posing as Aanado the entire time, trying to lure Spooky into letting him in his mind.]]

* EntitledToHaveYou: A non-romantic example, Velliok insists that Spooky belongs to him from birth and will end up in his hands.
* EvilPlan: He had a plan to use Spooky to create a door to Earth. He seems to still be trying to do it.
* LovesTheSoundOfScreaming: He takes great pleasure in describing his past torture of Aanado.
* MoreThanMindControl: Apparently he can't possess Spooky without his consent.

!!!'''Sunglasses'''
A powerful wizad that is the main antagonist in Double Cross. He leads a cult with multiple Crazies that kidnapped a child and is attempting a dark working that seems related to Spooky's inability to recall that period in the past and to the symbol of a prince of hell that Mitch saw in the present.

* AwesomenessByAnalysis: He figured out Mitch's powers on the fly and devised a way to go through them in the middle of a fight.
* IWantThemAlive: He states (just like Velliok) that he wants to capture Spooky alive. No reasons given.
* MundaneSolution: When Spooky decides he will be unable to beat him using magic he simply [[spoiler:drops a giant ferris wheel on him.]] It's still to be revealed if that will be enough to stop him.
* TheNameless: Four chapters in, still no name for him has been given.
* SinisterShades: So far we haven't seen his eyes.
* TrapMaster: Every confrontation with him has had the heroes fall into complex and unexpected traps.

!!!'''The Crazies'''
Magic is extremely dangerous in this world, and apart from Platinum Priestess and Spooky Jones, every single user of magic has their sanity eaten away. The term "crazies" is a catch-all term for all of them.

* {{Fanfic}}: One of the crazies that got trapped by a bunch of demonic snakes in Embracing the Enemy got a multichapter fan story giving him a named and depicting his domestic life with the snakes.
* InTheHood: Their standard clothing.
* MenAreTheExpendableGender: Averted. A significant share of crazies are women, and they are just as crazy, violent and disposable as the male crazies.
* {{Mooks}}: None of them has been given more than a face so far.

[[/folder]]

[[folder: Other]]
!!!'''Cory'''
Flyboy's friend [[spoiler: and ex-boyfriend]] as of Flyboy's bonus comic. Has powerful telekinetic powers but very little control over them. By the end of the first volume of the comic [[spoiler: he's living with Flyboy and apparently they rekindled their relationship.]]
