The last survivor of the Demon War who was reincarnated ten years into the past after being killed. Zephyr's goal is to defeat The God of Demons Tartarus and take revenge on the gods who abandoned humanity.
----
* ActionBomb: Zephyr used the curse Altair put on him to become this, blowing himself up by [[FlippingTheBird giving Tartarus the middle finger]].
* AffectionateGestureToTheHead: Often gave these to Altair in their previous lives. He did it so often, he instinctively did to Altair in their current lives after she lied to Captain Regulus for him. However, judging by her blush, she liked it.
* AlchemyIsMagic: Zephyr was able to synthesize Belial without alchemy equipment, and was able to synthesize Zagan and Asmodeus with some.
* AllAccordingToPlan: Zephyr had ''anticipated'' and even ''wanted'' Altair to use [[TruthSerum <Kiss of Darkness>]] on him so Altair could confirm for herself what he was saying was the truth, since she hadn't mastered [[TouchTelepathy <Communion>]] yet. That was how Zephyr got Altair to believe that he came of his own accord from the future to prevent her death.
* AllWebbedUp: Thanks to storing some of the Black Steel Spider Queen's web using the [[{{Hammerspace}} <Silver Key>]] perk, Zephyr can shoot strands at will as seen when he used some of the silk during his fight against the Fallen Princess.
* AllYourPowersCombined: Thanks to the Water of Life, the <Hermes's Secret Skill> perk, Altair's <Moirai> skill, Elise healing Zephyr, and Ned steadying Zephyr's breathing, Zephyr was able upgrade to his second form of <Dragonification>. In addition, Zephyr seeks [[GottaCatchThemAll to obtain all Seven Dragon Hearts]] and unite them within his own body to obtain the power necessary to prevent the downfall of the world.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Using [[PhotographicMemory his knowledge of the previous timeline]] and his [[GeniusBruiser analytical mind]], Zephyr can easily read an opponent's moves and knows what to do next. Even against tough opponents, Zephyr can recover from powerful blows and deliver devastating counterattacks. For opponents who prove to be too powerful, Zephyr knows how to prepare to help level the playing field by using all that's in his disposal and by instructing his allies.
* BadassBoast: Zephyr gives one to [[InconsistentSpelling Kaisaurus/Kaiserus]] [[FallenHero the]] [[BrainwashedAndCrazy Black Dragon]] before beginning their fight in his consciousness.
-->'''Zephyr:''' "You know. This isn't my first time...facing a dragon's ''Overmind'' in my consciousness. If I include those from my last life...you're the fifth. You dragons...are such a nuisance. Can't you just stay dead and let others absorb you? Why do you have to test them before giving them your power? I guess I'll just have to beat some sense into you. It's time to teach you a lesson."
-->'''Kaisaurus:''' "Do you ever stop talking? Come and fight me if you dare!"
* BadassCape: Zephyr donned one of those in his previous life and after obtaining the Dragon Slayer's Plate Coat, Plate Boots, Gauntlet Set upon defeating the Gatekeeper Georgios in the Tomb of the Fallen Princess with the Dragon Slayer's Cape able to [[DamageReduction reduce damage from magic of all attributes]].
* BattleAura: Manifested one when preparing to fight Aederius.
* BattleCouple: With Altair. While Zephyr fights enemies head-on, [[ActionGirl Altair]] provides support via [[LongRangeFighter long-range magical attacks]] and [[StatusBuff boosting magic]].
* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: Zephyr had one of those with Kaisaurus while [[InconsistentSpelling Eurydice/Yuridika]] was transplanting the [[MacGuffin Dragon Heart]] into him.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: In the previous timeline, after [[FirstLove Leah Testarossa]] used and threw Zephyr away, Zephyr was hurt so badly by her and many other people who had also deceived him that he told himself that he would never trust anyone ever again. However, in that dark world full of lies, [[SecondLove Altair]] was the only one who ever showed him honesty in the form of actions instead of words that can be easily fabricated. That earned Zephyr's [[DevotedToYou eternal devotion and love]], and Zephyr will only ever pick Altair no matter how many times he might start over.
* BerserkButton: ''DO NOT'' ever insult [[LoveInterest Altair]]. Priest Jacob and the other priests of the Temple of the Sky [[CurbstompBattle learned this the hard way]] after gossiping about a rumor entailing [[SlutShaming Altair being in an illicit relationship with Lucius]], [[KissingCousins her older cousin, and even having a child with him]].
* BestServedCold: In the previous timeline, due to Zephyr having absorbed the Blue Dragon Heart, Aederius became wary of Zephyr and used him to manipulate public opinion. Meanwhile, Ice Dragon Merenia mocked Zephyr for being a cowardly thief and constantly [[InstantIceJustAddCold froze]] [[HumanPopsicle him]] with Altair's party members constantly making fun of him. In the current timeline, Zephyr is ''VERY'' harsh towards Aederius and hits him ''HARD'' whenever he annoys Zephyr, treating him like a dog and even calling him "Mutt". Zephyr also uses the Silver Lion Mithril Helmet in Training Mode to restrict Aederius's movements, preventing him from meeting Ice Dragon Merenia in secret and therefore guaranteeing the Ice Dragon Raid ''WILL'' happen this time around.
* TheBet: Made one with Polaris Albert Cayenne, the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers, over a [[HeadsOrTails coin toss]] with the loser telling one thing the winner wants to hear, with him choosing "heads". Zephyr did this to avoid a head-on battle, which would have led to Ned, Lucius, and Bishop Alfonso being killed. However, the coin ended up being sliced in half with each half turned to each side, effectively making the bet a draw. Later on, Zephyr also made a bet with Aederius, with Aederius getting Gram and Zephyr's Dragon Hearts if Aederius made even a single drop of water leave the cup Zephyr was holding in his other hand and with Zephyr getting to choose Aederius's nickname if he won. Zephyr won [[CurbstompBattle one-sidedly]] and gave Aederius the nickname "Mutt".
* BetterToDieThanBeKilled: Rather than let [[TheBigBad Tartarus]] kill him or play along with Tartarus, Zephyr chose to [[SuicideAttack blow himself up]], [[AnArmAndALeg taking Tartarus's right hand with him]].
* {{BFS}}: Zephyr seems to be quite fond of huge swords, as seen with Requiem and with Gram.
* BigDamnHeroes: Tends to be quite flashy when fighting monsters and saving people from them. A ''HUGE'' example of this was when Zephyr descended with the Sword of Light in hand and in the second form of <Dragonification> after plunging the Stake of Faith into the [[BioweaponBeast Basilico]], all to Lucius announcing that everyone would see a miracle that day; just as all hope was lost for the people standing before the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Zephyr came in and crushed the beast that was dooming them all.
* BigDamnReunion: Had a really heartwarming one with Altair once the transplant of Blue Dragon Artalis's Dragon Heart was successful after several days of being apart.
* BigGood: Zephyr's ultimate goal is to defeat the demons and prevent the downfall of humanity.
* BloodFromTheMouth: After The God of Demons Tartarus delivered a fatal blow to Zephyr in his previous life. However, Zephyr was able to survive long enough [[BetterToDieThanBeKilled to blow himself up]]. Also, while upgrading Zephyr's <Dragonification>, blood spewed from his mouth. Luckily, Elise was there to heal him during the entire ritual.
* BreathWeapon: During <Dragonification>, Zephyr can use <Dragon Breath> with him doing so to counteract Blue Dragon Artalis's second <Dragon Breath> and momentarily destroying [[SamusIsAGirl her]] breath pocket.
* BrutalHonesty: When Zephyr is not [[ConsummateLiar lying]], he does not beat around the bush, saying what is on his mind. Just ask the miner boy he used to work with. Zephyr was also quite brutally honest with Dariel the Divine Archer when expressing his frustrations with Dariel being reluctant to give Zephyr the Branch from the Tree of Life and the Water of Life.
* ChangingYourselfForLove: Agreed with Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life when he told Zephyr that just one woman was able to increase the worth of the world by so much. The love for Queen Silvestia made Yggdrasil want to go against his mission while the love for Altair made Zephyr fight for humanity. Zephyr's understanding of Yggdrasil's feelings was what ultimately made him trust Yggdrasil to transplant Blue Dragon Artalis's Dragon Heart into him.
* TheChosenOne: The gods chose Zephyr because he entertained them.
* ChefOfIron: Kicks ass like no other, and can whip up a great meal. Mercedes can attest to both, what with her utterly ''melting'' when trying the Blue Dragon Ribs ''AND'' watching him win against stronger and stronger foes.
* CommonalityConnection: Zephyr realized that both he and Blue Dragon Artalis lived harsh lives and died while rashly wielding the sword. Because of that, he couldn't even hate her.
* CrazyEnoughToWork: After nailing Blue Dragon Artalis with the Stake of Faith, Zephyr told the rear squad via <Golem> to change tactics with Zephyr acting as bait by causing as much pain as possible while Dariel fires as much as he pleases. Dariel is amazed that it actually worked.
* CrazyJealousGuy: Seemed to be ''quite'' hostile towards Aederius, seeing as Zephyr contemplated killing Aederius moments after meeting him in the current timeline and forced him to crawl like a dog after Zephyr via <Language Enchantment>. This might be due to Aederius challenging the substitute for Ophelia for the opportunity to marry [[LoveInterest Altair]]—''and never denying wanting to marry Altair''—in addition to battle [[BloodKnight being the only way to get things through Aederius's skull]].
* CrazyPrepared: Zephyr prepared a multitude of items for the Kobold Den as well as for the Tomb of the Fallen Princess for both him and Ned Stryer, helped Lucius Giornetti find surefire evidence to convict [[PlayingBothSides Cardinal]] [[InconsistentSpelling Oldin/Aldean]] [[DemonOfHumanOrigin Lasker]] of heresy, and prepared a literal mountain of scrolls to convince Altair to engage in the Blue Dragon Raid with him and Ned.
* CrazySurvivalist: Thanks to his skills, Zephyr survived for one year after the rest of humanity was destroyed. He also used his survivalist knowledge to save himself from the accumulated damage from the <Wall of Iron> perk by keeping a small vial of Recovery Water on him and giving himself one mana point, cancelling the collection.
* CrypticConversation: Suddenly started to talk about the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers with Altair after Polaris had left the Third Parish of the Temple of Light. Beforehand, Altair asked Zephyr why he looked happy despite what Polaris did. Zephyr did not once mention Polaris's name during that conversation, instead only talking about the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers. Despite that, Altair never mentioned the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers, instead talking about her brother. However, [[EyeTake judging by her expression]], she seemed to get Zephyr's [[LoopholeAbuse implication]]: that her brother Polaris ''IS'' the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers.
* CurbstompBattle: Zephyr single-handedly annihilated an entire cockatrice nest with his bare hands, even dragging back the leader's head with ease despite the head itself being several times Zephyr's size. Also later delivered one to Aederius, despite Aederius going all out and Zephyr [[OneHandedZweihander using only one hand]] while preventing a single drop of water leaving the cup he was holding in his other hand. In addition, while the Basilicos and the countless monsters it had summoned were plaguing the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Zephyr announced his entrance by dropping the Stake of Faith on the Basilicos, [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice brutally impaling it]] before [[TheWorfEffect finishing it off with a single slash of the Sword of Light]] and [[OneHitKill subsequently doing the same thing to all of the gathered monsters]].
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Has silver hair and silver eyes.
* TheCynic: Is able to see ulterior motives very easily due to his knowledge of the future. Also, due to him having experienced the end of the world once before, Zephyr doesn't feel as inspired by things as much as he used to. Despite that, Zephyr was in awe as he gazed at the cup of Water of Life, calling it "beautiful".
* DamageReduction: The Dragon Slayer's Cape reduces damage from magic of all attributes. Thanks to Zephyr shielding Altair with said cape from the energy blast that erupted out of the Door of the Great Elfen Forest and Elise blocking the rest with the <Barrier of Light> skill, nobody took any damage despite how huge said energy blast was.
* DamnYouMuscleMemory: Reflexively took a ''huge'' step back when Ned [[DeathGlare glared]] at him and pointed the [[EnergyWeapon Sword of Mirage]] at him while confronting him about the truth, despite Zephyr being ''much'' stronger than Ned by then. Why? Because in their previous lives, [[MisdirectedOutburst Ned would beat Zephyr senselessly whenever he was in a bad mood]].
* DeclarationOfProtection: After reincarnating into the past, Zephyr vowed to protect [[LoveInterest Altair]] [[TheLostLenore this time around]].
* DefiantToTheEnd: Even after being defeated by Tartarus in the previous timeline, Zephyr didn't give in to Tartarus even as he was about to die, using the last of his energy to clasp onto Tartarus's right hand and [[SuicideAttack blow]] [[BetterToDieThanBeKilled himself]] [[FlippingTheBird up]], [[AnArmAndALeg taking Tartarus's right hand with him]].
* DefrostingIceKing: In the previous timeline, ever since [[FirstLove Leah Testarossa]] betrayed him and so many people stepped on him, Zephyr was a cold person who didn't let others in. That was why Zephyr's and Altair's first meeting went so poorly, and why Fade described Zephyr as a useful psycho. However, as Altair showed Zephyr honesty and kindness, Zephyr warmed up and became a much better person. It was to the point that Zephyr and Altair became lovers and Zephyr gained the desire to fight for humanity.
* {{Demihuman}}: After obtaining the Dragon Heart, Zephyr essentially became a dragonoid. That was how he was able to obtain the blood of a dragonoid, the key ingredient for Asmodeus: from himself.
* TheDeterminator: Zephyr is incredibly determined to change the fate of humanity and to defeat the demons. This determination convinced Eurydice to transplant the Dragon Heart into him, despite the dangers.
* DeusExMachina: [[InvokedTrope Invoked]] by Zephyr. During his fight with the Fallen Princess Eurydice, Zephyr gave the gods an ultimatum: either give him better perks, or he'll kill himself by completing the blasphemous symbol. Zephyr knew the gods would not find a human as entertaining as him. His gambit worked with him gaining conditional access to the [[InfinityPlusOneSword Sword of Light]], allowing him to defeat the Fallen Princess and [[BeatTheCurseOutOfHer break her curse]].
* DevotedToYou: Completely devoted to Altair, doing whatever it takes to keep her safe and help her accomplish her goals. He promised to clear all obstacles from Altair's path, defeat all enemies, and offer her the throne on a [[IKissYourHand kiss to her hand]].
* DiagnosisFromDrBadass: After seeing Sir Grimes—a soldier from the Lord of Danakil—and his condition, Zephyr knew that healers could not help him by themselves and instead used [[ImprobableAntidote Asmodeus—one of the 72 Deadly Poisons of Fade, the King of Poisons—to counteract the poison coming from Blue Dragon Artalis]].
* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: Zephyr literally [[FlippingTheBird flipped off Tartarus]], which activated the curse Altair [[ChekhovsGun put on him]], blowing himself up and wounding Tartarus in the process.
* DidntSeeThatComing: Even with how brilliant Zephyr is, even Zephyr gets caught off-guard. Like when the Gatekeeper Georgios gave the Fallen Princess Eurydice some mana, [[EleventhhourSuperpower allowing her to come back stronger than before]], and when Polaris possessed Oldin's head and showed himself even though Zephyr had anticipated him currently being absorbed in his double life. In addition, Zephyr didn't realize that the Real Shadow Disciple was Ned's older sister, and was shocked when Ned revealed that Ophelia told Ned; however, this is [[JustifiedTrope justified]] since Zephyr never saw the Real Shadow Disciple's real face [[MasterOfDisguise due to her being a master of <Configuration>]]. Later on, Zephyr was shocked upon being burned by the Sword of Light during his fight against Black Moon Ramiel even though he was much stronger than when he last used it, even without the boosts from the <Meteor's Tears> potion and the <Hermes's Secret Skill> perk.
* DisappearedDad: It is revealed that Zephyr's dad left for a faraway place when Zephyr was little and never came back, leaving Zephyr's mom to raise him all by herself until she passed from what seems to be illness while he was still little.
* DivineIntervention: Thanks to Zephyr drawing the blasphemous symbol, many gods were so angered that they sent [[CelestialParagonsAndArchangels Mercedes]] to kill him. While interacting with Zephyr, Mercedes put up a barrier, momentarily shielding him from the Fallen Princess Eurydice. Zephyr used this to his advantage, allowing him the time to give the gods the aforementioned ultimatum.
* TheDragonSlayer: Had slain multiple dragons in the previous timeline, and slew Blue Dragon Artalis in the current timeline in addition to defeating a manifestation of her with memories of her prime in the previous timeline as well. In fact, right before Zephyr dealt the killing blow to Blue Dragon Artalis in the current timeline, she [[PassingTheTorch recognized Zephyr as Georgios's successor]].
* DrillSergeantNasty: Is this to Aederius. Zephyr is ''VERY'' tough on Aederius and is ''VERY'' prone to hitting him.
* EmpathicWeapon: Turns out the Sword of Light is this. The reason why Zephyr [[SacredFlames was burning]] while he tried to use it against Black Moon Ramiel was because although Zephyr was technically qualified to wield the Sword of Light, it had rejected him. However, with The Goddess of Light Aria giving Zephyr a new quest that would last ten months, [[LoopholeAbuse the Sword of Light will be forced to obey him for ten months]]. During the quest, Zephyr must protect [[{{Protectorate}} the key figure Duke Cesare Giornetti]], [[ConnectedAllAlong Lucius's father and the older brother of the queen]], with the Sword of Light doubling as a TrackingDevice that allows Zephyr to know of Duke Cesare Giornetti's whereabouts. As to what will happen once those ten months are up...
* EquipmentUpgrade: After defeating and purifying Eurydice and [[InconsistentSpelling Georgios/Georgius]], Zephyr obtained Georgios's sword Gram in addition to the Dragon Slayer's armor and accessed Eurydice's Treasure Room, further upgrading himself and his party.
* EtTuBrute: Zephyr and Ned betrayed Mathias Grimmer and the Tartarus Worshippers in addition to Lucius and the other Priests of Light after Zephyr activated the mechanism that rearranges the Tomb of the Fallen Princess's layout. However, after Zephyr saved Lucius, Leona, and Arno from Georgios, they ended up thinking that those two are [[TheMole actually allies]] [[GoodAllAlong passionate in ridding heresy]], and forgave what happened.
* ExcellentJudgeOfCharacter: Zephyr is easily able to discern someone's motives, and uses that knowledge to his advantage. For instance, Zephyr knows Aederius so well to the point of practically reading his mind. In addition, Zephyr knows that no matter how strong he gets, no one will listen to him if he doesn't have status and although he ''hates'' those who look down on others based on class, he would have to put his pride aside and use the Sword of Light to instantly elevate his status so he can earn people's respect and take lead of all of them.
* AFatherToHisMen: In both his previous and current lives, Zephyr cared deeply for his party members and the people he trained. Just ask Gote, Dale, Marco, Ned, Lucius, Leona, Arno, and countless more.
* FinishingEachOthersSentences: Not in an overly overt manner, but when Altair raised her "suspicions" about Aederius's identity, Zephyr offered a perfect suggestion at a perfect timing, getting the rest of the party to have Zephyr go to Lindell Castle to confront Aederius, all without revealing knowledge of the future (since only Zephyr, Ned, and Altair knew of the future and it would be too dangerous to tell any more people about it).
* TheFirstCutIsTheDeepest: In the previous timeline, after [[FirstLove Leah Testarossa]] used and threw Zephyr away, Zephyr was hurt so badly by her and many other people who had also deceived him that he told himself that he would never trust anyone ever again. Even after [[SecondLove Altair]] healed Zephyr's heart and restored Zephyr's ability to trust people, Zephyr never forgot about the hurt, rage, and hatred Leah made him feel. Even up until his death and subsequent revival ten years into the past, Zephyr could never understand Leah's reason for staying with the Tartarus Worshippers even after finding out the truth and never found out what Zephyr meant to Leah with him being unable to ask now due to the previous future now only existing in Zephyr's memories. It was to the point that Zephyr never wanted to meet Leah ever again, and would have killed her on sight had he not learned that Leah is Ned's older sister. The only reason Zephyr fixed Leah's brain was for Ned's sake, and whether Zephyr kills her afterwards depends on how she behaves.
* FirstLove: To Altair. In both their previous and current lives, Altair only ever loved Zephyr and loved him ''DEEPLY''.
* FlashStep: Thanks to his mastery of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts, Zephyr can move extremely quickly.
* FlippingTheBird: Apparently, Zephyr flipped off people in his previous life so much, Altair put the aforementioned curse on him to get him to stop doing it. He did it one last time in his previous life to Tartarus. After being reincarnated ten years into the past, Zephyr did it again to The God of Debt Usra after bypassing his collection and later to Dariel the Divine Archer [[StealthInsult when frustratedly counting down a list of what Dariel wanted from Zephyr]].
* ForcefulKiss: After Altair's first <Kiss of Darkness> had faded, Zephyr had her recast it by stealing a kiss from her.
* {{Forgiveness}}: Despite his [[GoodIsNotNice attitude]], Zephyr is actually quite a forgiving person. Examples include [[BrutalHonesty Dale]], [[HumanResources Anna Primrose/White Rose]], [[AssassinationAttempt Ned]], [[BrainwashedAndCrazy Eurydice]], Lucius, and [[DrillSergeantNasty Captain Regulus]]. This is because Zephyr believes that people have the ability to change and grow, and he wants more people to get stronger so humanity will be able to defeat the demons this time around. Either that, or they can help him get stronger. However, his forgiveness ''does not'' extend to [[HumanSacrifice Sahak]], [[DemonOfHumanOrigin Cardinal Oldin Lasker]], [[HunterOfHisOwnKind Black Moon Ramiel]], [[TheFirstCutIsTheDeepest Leah Testarossa]], [[ArchEnemy Tartarus]], and the gods who abandoned humanity.
-->'''Zephyr to Sahak:''' "Before...all I cared about was saving myself and the people that mattered to me. That seemed to make the most sense since the world is so miserable. But at some point...I started to wonder. Would things have turned out differently if there had been more people around me who knew how to fight? What if the surviving humans had worked together more? Maybe then...the people I love...might have had a chance to live longer. That's why...in this life...I decided to spare whoever I could...and give a chance to those who wish to be stronger. [[ThisIsUnforgivable But not you.]] How many people have you fed to this monster? Probably about a hundred, I'd say. How many more people will have to die until you're satisfied? [[RageBreakingPoint You piece of shit! You don't deserve to live.]]"
* GeniusBruiser: Zephyr uses his immense knowledge and his immense strength to beat almost any opponent he faces, and he is always looking for ways to get stronger. For anyone who is overpowering him, he is able to get others to give him the strength he needs to win, as seen when he convinced The Goddess of Light Aria to give him conditional access to the Sword of Light in his fight against the Fallen Princess. The only exception is [[TheBadGuyWins Tartarus]], but that will most assuredly change the next time around.
* TheGlovesComeOff: After Oldin in demon form unleashed an onslaught of attacks on Zephyr and tried to pound him into the ground, Zephyr revealed that 1% of the Dragon Heart's power wasn't bad, but then proceeded to use the <Dragonification> skill [[NextTierPowerUp to momentarily drastically boost his abilities]]. It was to the point that [[HealingFactor Oldin]] tried to flee in terror, only to be brought back down.
* GoldenSuperMode: While under <Berserk Dragon Mode>, Zephyr's horns—in addition to the scales on his face and elbows—become golden as his physical abilities increase by 200%.
* GoodIsNotNice: Zephyr may be fighting to ensure humanity's survival, but he is definitely not nice. Zephyr is rude, snarky, and contemplates killing anyone who won't side with him.
* GottaCatchThemAll: Seeks to obtain all seven Dragon Hearts [[AllYourPowersCombined to prevent the world's destruction]]. All seven Dragon Hearts used to be one, and Zephyr plans to make them one again within his own body.
* GrandmasRecipe: More like ''[[GenderInvertedTrope grandpa's]]'' recipe, but Zephyr used his maternal grandfather's recipe for a southern marination sauce to marinate the Blue Dragon Ribs. Mercedes absolutely ''melted'' with just one bite. In fact, Zephyr learned to cook in general from his maternal grandfather, who owned a restaurant.
* GuileHero: Zephyr is not above lying to people and/or letting them believe certain falsehoods to get them to do what he wants. Examples include letting White Rose believe he was a former member of Persephone; tricking Ned and Mathias into thinking he was the Shadow Disciple of Jinryang of the East and a fellow Tartarus Worshipper; and letting [[SemiDivine Lucius]], Leona, and Arno think he and Ned were actually members of the Temple of Light who infiltrated the Tartarus Worshippers to destroy the organization from within. However, after Ned learned the truth about who the ''real'' Shadow Disciple was from Ophelia, instead of lying more to cover himself, [[NoMoreLies Zephyr just told the truth]]. Later on, Zephyr manipulated Black Moon Ramiel into using <Venom Spear>, which would suck out all poison from the immediate area and would therefore [[NiceJobFixingItVillain purify the Tree of Life and the Lake of Life]]. In addition, Zephyr was not above considering threatening Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life—''despite him having helped Zephyr''—had Yggdrasil not been receptive to Zephyr's words.
* {{Hammerspace}}: Thanks to the <Silver Key> perk, Zephyr can store and access items anytime and anywhere. The space is so large, he was able to effortlessly store a large Predator corpse and its blood puddle and later Blue Dragon Artalis's ''MUCH'' larger corpse.
* HeartfeltApology: Sincerely apologized to Ned for lying to him after finally telling him the truth.
* HeroicResolve: The reason why Zephyr is so determined to change the future, and what convinced Eurydice to finally transplant the Dragon Heart into him.
* HiddenHeartOfGold: Zephyr might be a jerk, but he is also very kind to those he cares about. Such as wanting Ned to have the perfect revenge and making sure said perfect revenge happens.
* HumanResources: Was almost a victim of this. If Zephyr had not remembered Anna Primrose's other name in time, he would have had his organs harvested.
* HunterOfHisOwnKind: After becoming a dragonoid due to the successful transplant of the Dragon Heart, Zephyr essentially became this due to him hunting down Blue Dragon Artalis and Ice Dragon Merenia, two fellow dragons.
* IGaveMyWord: As promised, Zephyr cleared three dungeons for [[InconsistentSpelling Gote/Goethe]]: the Black Steel Spider Dungeon, the Cockatrice Nest, and the remote mountain village that Ned manipulated the documents to seem like a Goblin Den.
* IKissYourHand: Did this to Altair after meeting her for the first time in their current lives, as a greeting to the princess. Seeing as Altair was Zephyr's lover in their previous lives and Zephyr was posing as a Temple Knight, Zephyr kissed her hand as a sign of chivalry and respect. He also did it to try [[TouchTelepathy to activate Altair's <Communion> skill]], which she hadn't fully mastered at the time and even though she hadn't, Zephyr counted on her regaining enough familiarity with Zephyr so she would come searching for him in the future. Later on, after Zephyr and Altair reunited in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Zephyr once again kissed her hand to show his allegiance to her in front of the Holy One and the members of other factions of the Temple of Light.
* IOweYouMyLife: To Ned. Not only did Ned allow Zephyr to escape the Canyon of Oblivion, one of the eight most difficult challenges in the world, the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts served as the foundation for Zephyr to become [[WorldsStrongestMan the strongest human]]. That was why Zephyr made sure to save Ned in their current lives.
* IShouldHaveBeenBetter: Zephyr always regretted not being strong enough to defeat Hondur, the Master of the Canyon of Oblivion. Zephyr contemplated that if he had been stronger, Ned wouldn't [[HeroicSacrifice have had to sacrifice himself]], and they could have escaped together. He could never forget his master's back as Ned [[SuicideAttack blew himself up with the final secret art of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts]].
* IWillWaitForYou: Zephyr promised to clear all obstacles from Altair's path, defeat all enemies, and offer her the throne on a [[IKissYourHand kiss to her hand]]. When that time comes, Zephyr wants Altair to accept him as her king as he called her his queen.
* IcyBlueEyes: Has these when using Blue Dragon Artalis’s power.
* IgnoreTheFanservice: In the current timeline Zephyr completely ignored Leah Testarossa's attempt at seducing him while she was imprisoned, forcing her to spit out her Marked Bug and then stepping on it before forcibly fixing her brain. It helps that he ''HATES'' her after what she did to him in their previous lives. Meanwhile, in the previous timeline, during Zephyr's and Altair's first meeting, Zephyr was completely unfazed when Altair stepped out of the bath with only a towel loosely hanging on her arms, demanding the credit stolen by her party when Zephyr's and Fade's party were the ones who put the prey on the brink of death in addition to the Tartarus Worshipper's corpse and items.
* ImprovisedWeapon: While in the Black Steel Spider Dungeon, Zephyr broke off two legs from one of the Black Steel Spiders he had killed and turned them into makeshift scythes. He used them against the Black Steel Spider Knights, the Black Steel Spider Queen, and the Fallen Princess Eurydice (after having them enchanted with divine magic).
* InfinityPlusOneSword: The Sword of Light is this. It is described as being made of [[EnergyWeapon a ray of ancient light]] and is only wielded by a special priest chosen by The Goddess of Light Aria once every few hundred years. It can use [[BeatTheCurseOutOfHim <Dispel>]] of the highest rank, as seen when it purified Eurydice and Georgios with just one hit each. The Sword of Light is so powerful and so renown, just wielding it instantly elevated Zephyr’s status from nobody to TheChosenOne.
* IronicName: "Zephyr" is the name of the god of the west wind in ancient Greek mythology and means "soft gentle breeze". Zephyr is anything ''but'' [[GoodIsNotSoft soft]] ''or'' [[GoodIsNotNice gentle]].
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: Zephyr drawing the blasphamous symbol. Mercedes warned him that if he tried that again, not only would he lose all of his perks, he would also be designated as prey with ''every single person'' [[PriceOnTheirHead who hunts him gaining the perks taken from him]].
* JackBauerInterrogationTechnique: What Zephyr did to Oldin to extract information on the Tartarus Worshippers.
* KleptomaniacHero: Zephyr has no problems with stealing monster corpses, which are supposed to be the property of the Temple of Light, and selling them on the black market via White Rose. He also had absolutely no problems with having Ned steal the Stake of Faith from Leona.
* TheLeader: Zephyr becomes the de facto leader of any group he works in. This includes the teams of soldiers he trained in his previous life; Mining Team F; Gote's Hunting Team; his team with Ned, Lucius, Leona, and Arno; the medical relief station at the Danakil Plains; the allied army of humans and elves for the Blue Dragon Raid; and jointly became the leader of Altair’s party.
* LightningBruiser: Thanks to Zephyr's immense strength and the extreme speed obtained from his mastery of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts taught to him by [[TheMaster Ned Stryer]] in their previous lives, Zephyr can both hit hard ''and'' hit fast.
* LoopholeAbuse: Normally, Zephyr cannot use the Sword of Light unless he has either The Goddess of Light's permission or is fulfilling one of her requests, due to it normally requiring tremendous stats to wield. However, he was able to use it for ten seconds without either condition being fulfilled by momentarily dramatically boosting his stats with <Dragonification>, the <Meteor's Tears> potion, and the <Hermes's Secret Skill> perk. In addition, Zephyr tried to change the side the coin landed on with skills before opening his hand, and ''indirectly'' told Ned and Lucius the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers's identity. Additionally, Zephyr told the truth when he confirmed what Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life saw in his dreams was the future, but lied by saying it was a prophecy instead of being his actual memories from the future. Later on, when discussing the Lauren Auction that was was supposed to take place in six months, to get the required items for the Ice Dragon Raid in two months, Zephyr explained to Kiara that if one can offer a satisfactory item in exchange before the list becomes public, one can obtain it early before anyone else can. All in all, Zephyr is ''really'' fond of doing this.
* MadeASlave: Thanks to the debts he owes the Temple of Light, Zephyr was made into a slave and was forced to work off his debt. Zephyr, along with Ned, were freed by Lucius after he saved Lucius from the Gatekeeper Georgios.
* MadeOfIron: Thanks to his <Wall of Iron> perk, Zephyr cancels out any damage that is lower than his durability. Except, that's not what really happens. In reality, all the damage is accumulated as debt, and once his mana reaches zero, [[PowerAtAPrice he will take all the accumulated damage at once, most assuredly killing him]].
* MagicPlasticSurgery: Zephyr's <Transfiguration> skill allows him to change his appearance by adjusting his facial muscles and expression. Even though his skills are not as good as those of the ''real'' Shadow Disciple, Zephyr still seems like a completely different person while under <Transfiguration> and combined with changing his personality. However, one man was able to see through Zephyr's disguise, which intrigued Zephyr due to said man appearing weak. That person turned out to be Philip Pilgrim, one of Altair’s companions and one of her three mentors who led her to become a pivotal figure for humanity. Philip was able to distinguish Zephyr [[ExcellentJudgeOfCharacter due to his good eye for people]] [[ProudMerchantRace developed over the years by being a merchant]].
* MagicPotion: Thanks to the <Hermes's Secret Skill> perk, Zephyr is able to boost the effectiveness of all medicinal items and potions he consumes by 500%.
* MasterOfAll: Let's see...immense martial arts skills, hits fast ''and'' hard, has mastery over various weapons, can wield a sword as heavy as Gram [[OneHandedZweihander with only one hand with ease]], knowledgeable with poisons, knows how to handle people, knows how to use <Language Enchantment> to its fullest abilities...with how skilled Zephyr is in various fields, is it any wonder why the gods chose him?
* MasterPoisoner: After the gods abandoned the world in the previous timeline, Zephyr had to rely on poisons to fight off his enemies. Due to the poison recipes he received from [[TrueCompanions Fade,]] [[MentorArchetype the King of]] [[ProfessionalKiller Poisons]], he was able to survive for one year after the rest of humanity was destroyed. In the current timeline, Zephyr uses his knowledge of poisons to craft No.68 Belial—a poison that causes immense pain and erodes organs—and No.61 Zagan—a highly unpredictable poison—to both help him take down monsters and to boost his own stats. Upon increasing his stats and obtaining more ingredients, Zephyr will be able to synthesize stronger poisons thanks to his knowledge. For instance, after obtaining the Dragon Heart, Zephyr was able to synthesize No.32 Asmodeus due to it requiring the blood of a dragonoid such as himself. In fact, the reason why Fade, the King of Poisons was able to create 72 deadly poisons in the first place was because Zephyr was the one who collected some of the rarest ingredients.
* MasterSwordsman: Zephyr is masterful with blades as seen with Requiem, with the Twilight Longsword, and with Gram.
* MentalTimeTravel: How Zephyr was sent back in time. Rather than send his body back in time—which would [[MyFutureSelfAndMe have resulted in his future and past selves meeting]]—or traditional reincarnation, which involves a ''past'' incarnation being reborn as a new person in the ''future'', Mercedes reincarnated Zephyr into the past by [[TransferableMemory transferring memories of the previous timeline into the body of his 20-year-old self]]. Zephyr was not reincarnated with his previous physical training, mana, items, weapons, and acquired skills. However, he was given nine perks from the gods who support him, and retained the ability to use the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts from memory alone and by boosting his mana with countless bottles of Recovery Water made more effective with the <Hermes’s Secret Skill> perk.
* MindOverMatter: After absorbing Blue Dragon Artalis's Dragon Heart, Zephyr gained the ability to use her telekinetic powers. He used them to pin Aederius to the ground before throwing him into the air and chomping him with a manifestation of Blue Dragon Artalis's jaws.
* {{Misblamed}}: Ophelia and Fade blame Zephyr for setting up the dance conditions needed to bypass the <Labyrinth Maker> Ned had set up in the sewer in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, when ''Ned himself'' was the one who set up those conditions in addition to the <Labyrinth Maker> itself. In Ophelia's case, [[HesitationEqualsDishonesty Ned lied to her]] while in Fade's case, [[WrongAssumption Fade just assumed that Zephyr was the one who did it]].
* MissionFromGod: The Goddess of Light Aria requested that Zephyr save Lucius, her current Holy One of Light/Saint of Light. He accepted, which allowed him to once again conditionally use the Sword of Light to defeat Georgios. Later on, Zephyr received another mission from The Goddess of Light Aria after he opened her letter, a mission in which he will protect a key figure and will be able to use the Sword of Light without restrictions during the duration of said mission.
* MistakenForRomance: Gote, Dale, and Marco thought Zephyr managed to win Anna Primrose over after they saw her leave their room and saw the Ring of Purification on Zephyr's finger. He had no idea what they were talking about.
* MundaneMadeAwesome: Normally, a coin toss should be as simple as flipping a coin and calling a side. However, Zephyr ended up fiercely fighting Polaris [[LoopholeAbuse as he tried to change the side the coin landed on]].
* MusclesAreMeaningful: Seeing as how Zephyr is ripped and can deal massive damage, his muscles definitely aren't just for show.
* MyGreatestFailure: Not having been able to save the world and not having been strong enough to save Ned. The first reason was why [[SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong Zephyr returned to the past]] [[MyGreatestSecondChance in the first place]], and the second reason was why Zephyr went out of his way to save Ned; because he needed Ned to help him fight Tartarus again, and more importantly, because he wanted Ned to live this time.
* NervesOfSteel: While in battle, Zephyr almost always maintains a cool head. That makes his frustration upon almost losing to the Fallen Princess all the more jarring.
* NextTierPowerUp: Let's see...the countless vials of Recovery Water Zephyr drank to boost his mana with the help of <Hermes's Secret Skill>, the combination of Zagan and Belial to double his stats, obtaining conditional access to the Sword of Light, having the Dragon Heart successfully transplanted into him, obtaining Gram, using the <Dragonification> skill, achieving the second form of <Dragonification>, obtaining Blue Dragon Artalis’s Dragon Heart, opening The Goddess of Light Aria's letter...Zephyr has ''a lot'' of these. It's to the point that Zephyr can safely house ''two'' Dragon Hearts—the Black Dragon Heart and the Blue Dragon Heart—at 24.5% output ''each'' without any issues whatsoever.
* NoMoreLies: After Ned begged Zephyr to give him proof that he can trust Zephyr after Ophelia revealed who the ''real'' Shadow Disciple was, Zephyr finally revealed the truth: that Zephyr was the final human, a hero, a loser, came from ten years in the future, and was Ned's only disciple.
* NotAfraidToDie: Seeing as Zephyr chose to blow himself up rather than beg for his life and how he gave the gods the ultimatum of either giving him better perks or he'll kill himself/let himself be killed, Zephyr definitely is this.
* NotSoStoic: Could barely hold in his laughter as Altair bullshitted Captain Regulus and showed a [[ForgedMessage forged document]] that she claimed was from Lucius. In addition, Zephyr was unnerved when the Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life revealed that he could read Zephyr's thoughts through the signals coming from Zephyr's body.
* NoSell: Thanks to the special drugs the executives of the Tartarus Worshippers gave the members who took part in the raid on the Tomb of the Fallen Princess, Zephyr momentarily disabled his Slave Mark, preventing Lucius's command to stop from affecting him and allowing him to rush straight to the boss room with Ned as the dungeon was rearranging itself. Zephyr also did this to Dariel the Divine Archer's arrow when Dariel was trying to prove a point of him being unable to kill Blue Dragon Artalis since Dariel was unable to pierce a dragonoid's scales, let alone a real dragon's.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Pretended to not know how to use the Dragon Hearts to lower Polaris's guard. Zephyr ''knew'' that he had to monopolize all seven Dragon Hearts to reunite them, but instead told Polaris that he would choose who gets the Dragon Hearts. This made Polaris not take Zephyr seriously despite being unable to use his mana detection skill to determine if Zephyr was lying or not due to there being too many witnesses. [[FlawExploitation Which Zephyr counted on]].
* OneHeadTaller: What Zephyr is to [[LoveInterest Altair]].
* OneHitKill: Subjected countless monsters gathered before the Third Parish of the Temple of Light. With one swing from the Sword of Light, Zephyr sliced through the countless monsters as though they were nothing.
* OneManArmy: During the Blue Dragon Raid, Zephyr acted as this, being the only member of the vanguard squad while the other 224 members were in the rear squad. This is because he was the only one suited to fight Blue Dragon Artalis head-on due to his <Hermes's Secret Skill> perk boosting the duration of the three <Gold Tears> potions—which protect against harmful effects—to ten minutes each in addition to <Dragonification> providing greatly increased poison resistance in general. Zephyr was the one to deal primary damage and create openings while the rear squad dealt vast amounts of supporting damage and the golems handled the monsters within the poison zone.
* OutrunTheFireball: What Zephyr had to do after creating a dust explosion to incinerate the Black Steel Spider eggs and to lure out the Black Steel Spider Queen.
* PeggySue: Thanks to the gods sending Zephyr back ten years into the past and reincarnating him as his 20-year-old self, he definitely qualifies as one.
* PhotographicMemory: Zephyr is able to remember people and events from the last ten years with astounding accuracy, and uses this information to his advantage to forge relationships and to grow strong quickly.
* PowerAtAPrice: As immensely powerful <Berserk Dragon Mode>—which increases physical abilities by 200%—is, it is not without drawbacks; the duration of <Dragonification> is drastically cut short, and the user falls into hibernation after <Berserk Dragon Mode> ends. For Zephyr, his fifteen minutes left were instantly slashed to just three minutes.
* PowerGivesYouWings: During <Dragonification>, after [[NextTierPowerUp attaining its second form]], Zephyr sprouts a pair of dragonic wings during the duration of that skill.
* ThePowerOfLust: Altair used a promise of continuing what they couldn't finish the night before to motivate Zephyr into killing Blue Dragon Artalis in only ten minutes. Zephyr happily and eagerly obliged, unceremoniously [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice nailing the Stake of Faith into Blue Dragon Artalis's head]] just as she tried to sneak up on him.
* PowerUpFood: Fed Altair and their party Blue Dragon bourguignon stew made with red wine, Blue Dragon Rib steaks, and Water of Life to boost their stats, increase their resistances, lengthen lifespans, and improve regeneration. Combined with Zephyr's SupremeChef capabilities, everyone—except for [[RaisedByWolves Aede]][[TheIdealist rius]], who [[LostMyAppetite pretended to have a stomachache]]—gobbled down their food and drink with shocked delight.
* PragmaticHero: While being a slave at the Temple of Light, Zephyr racked up a huge debt all to get stronger, faster. He also participated in the illegal poaching of monster corpses to repay his debts and to earn the money needed to purchase better gear. He was also more than happy to make Lucis a month late in returning the Stake of Faith to the Pope so he could use it during the Blue Dragon Raid.
* ThePromise: Due to the coin being sliced in half with each half turned to each side, Polaris agreed to not kill Zephyr's companions in exchange for Zephyr not revealing his identity, with the <Oath Ring> skill cast to enforce the promise with the one who breaks the promise losing one of his senses for a month. However, Zephyr gets around this by ''[[LoopholeAbuse indirectly]]'' telling Ned and Lucius the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers's identity. Later on, he promised Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life that he would kill Yggdrasil when the time comes so Yggdrasil cannot carry out the absolute mission. Unlike the previous promise, Zephyr fully intends to keep this one [[ScrewDestiny (unless Zephyr is able to free Yggdrasil from his absolute mission)]].
* AProtagonistShallLeadThem: After being reincarnated ten years into the past, Zephyr worked ''hard'' to get stronger and rallied up people he knew in his previous life as well as other reliable people to conquer various challenges and ultimately to save the world from [[BigBad The God of Demons]] [[ArchEnemy Tartarus]].
* ProtagonistTitle: Zephyr is referenced in three of this manhwa's titles; he is the doom breaker in "Doom Breaker" as well as the battle god in "Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God" and "A Battle God's Second Chance".
* RageAgainstTheHeavens: After Zephyr—along with the rest of humanity—was abandoned by the gods, Zephyr developed an intense hatred against them. In addition to the The God of Demons Tartarus, Zephyr wants to kill all of the gods who abandoned them.
* RageBreakingPoint: Zephyr being burned upon trying to use the Sword of Light against Black Moon Ramiel was this for him. Upon entering the Silver Room within Mercedes's villa, he trashed said room, manhandled Mercedes, and gave the gods another ultimatum: pay five times the original amount, or watch as Zephyr stays within the Silver Room and does nothing but eating and chilling. It works; Zephyr received letters from The Goddess of Light Aria and The God of the Sky Akairus containing explanations and rewards with Zephyr being allowed to only open one.
* RansackedRoom: Zephyr supposedly did this to the Silver Room to replace the "shitty furniture" with "better furniture", but in reality, he did it to draw Mercedes's attention and bring her to the room to express his utter indignation for "being stabbed in the back" when he was burned for trying to use the Sword of Light against Black Moon Ramiel.
* RealMenCook: Noted himself to be pretty good at cooking when offering to cook Blue Dragon Artalis her favorite food. Proves this when making a scrumptious marinade at Lindell Castle before going into the Silver Key to find out the reason why he was [[SacredFlames burned]] while using the Sword of Light against Black Moon Ramiel, and after he marinated the Blue Dragon Ribs in said marinade before cooking them to absolute perfection; even Mercedes couldn't resist, utterly ''melting'' at a single bite.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: After using the <Dragonification> skill, Zephyr's eyes become red just like Kaisaurus's and his power momentarily increases exponentially.
* RedHerring: Zephyr purposely left traces of the battles with the Silver Knight and a demonized Oldin while completely erasing any traces of the Dragon Heart to throw off the Tartarus Worshippers and to make them doubt each other. Zephyr also had Altair enact the Thorn Mountain Range Clearing Project to make new farmland in order to draw the Tartarus Worshippers' attention while they teamed up with the elves to save the Danakil Plains.
* {{Reincarnation}}: After accepting the gods' offer to bring him ten years back in time, [[MentalTimeTravel Zephyr was reincarnated into the body of his 20-year-old self]] [[TransferableMemory with the memories of his previous life intact]].
* ReincarnationRomance: In the previous timeline, Zephyr loved Altair with every fiber of his very being. In the current timeline, Zephyr only has eyes for Altair, and they become lovers yet again.
* RespectedByTheRespected: After breaking Eurydice's curse, Zephyr earned her respect. Zephyr, in return, respected her for being the leader of The Twelve Heroes who saved the world from demons a thousand years ago. In addition, Lucius the Holy One began to show Zephyr immense respect after Zephyr saved his life with him believing Zephyr to be an ally passionate in ridding heresy, calling Zephyr "Exalted One" and "Sir" as well as "O Precious One".
* RestingRecovery: Once Zephyr exited Berserk Dragon Mode after clearing the Blue Dragon Raid, he fell into hibernation. During that time, thanks to the Tree of Life, he managed to regain consciousness within 24 hours, and had his body completely reconstructed by the Tree of Life in a little over 72 hours. Upon waking up from the completed reconstruction, the Tree of Life deemed Zephyr well and strong enough to have Blue Dragon Artalis's Dragon Heart transplanted into him.
* {{Revenge}}: One of Zephyr's main motivations for being reincarnated into the past. He wants revenge against the gods who abandoned humanity, in addition to The God of Demons Tartarus.
* RockPaperScissors: Won against Ned by using "scissors" while Ned used "paper". Zephyr, as the winner, was to go to the party at Lindell Castle to gather intel while Ned had to find and take out Tartarus Worshippers residing there. However, Ned considers this a win because he hates social gatherings.
* SacredFlames: Burst into flames while trying to use the Sword of Light against Black Moon Ramiel even though Zephyr was much stronger than when he last used it, even without the boosts from the <Meteor's Tears> potion and the <Hermes's Secret Skill> perk. Despite all the immense pain, Zephyr did not burn to death and would have used the Sword of Light—''even while on fire''—to defeat Black Moon Ramiel had [[BigDamnHeroes the Tree of Life not impaled Black Moon Ramiel from behind with his roots]]. Turns out this happened because although Zephyr was technically qualified to wield the Sword of Light, [[EmpathicWeapon it had rejected him]]. However, with The Goddess of Light Aria giving Zephyr a new quest that would last ten months, [[LoopholeAbuse the Sword of Light will be forced to obey him for ten months]].
* SeamlessSpontaneousLie: Zephyr is quite good at making these, such as when he convinced Ned that he was the Shadow Disciple and when he made a very solid excuse as to why he would know Fade in the current timeline to the elves.
* SelfHarm: After achieving the second form of <Dragonification>, Zephyr bit into a towel to prevent himself from biting off his own tongue as he ripped his own scales out to craft a new bow for Dariel the Divine Archer, the first Dragon Weapon Zephyr would make in his current life.
* SensorCharacter: Can use <Mana Perception>/<Mana Detection> to detect anyone who uses mana and anything infused with mana. This allows him to find or avoid either, even in complete darkness.
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: Another one of Zephyr's main motivations for being reincarnated into the past. He wants to use his knowledge of the future to grow strong quickly and to gain allies that will help him defeat the demons this time around.
* ShockAndAwe: Thanks to his mastery of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts, Zephyr gained the ability to use electricity through explosive acceleration for both offense and defense.
* SlasherSmile: Had quite a hilariously creepy one when telling Ned and Lucius that he could ''indirectly'' tell them the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers's ''true'' identity, and Ophelia [[UnreliableNarrator imagined him having one]] while he and Altair were going to talk to the elder of a remote village by themselves.
* StealthInsult: When counting down a list of three things of what Dariel the Divine Archer needed from him, Zephyr made sure to put down his fingers one by one until [[FlippingTheBird only his middle finger remained up]].
* StealthyTeleportation: Thanks to the upgraded <Silver Key> perk, Zephyr can move ''himself'' in and out of it in addition to countless items of varying sizes. This allows him to discreetly teleport himself into the Silver Room to dodge attacks, like he did with Blue Dragon Artalis's <Dragon Breath>.
* TheStrategist: Zephyr always comes up with a strategy for the opponents he faces and never rushes into battle without one.
* StrongAndSkilled: Due to Zephyr's immense strength and vast knowledge, he definitely is this.
* StudentAndMasterTeam: After [[HeelFaceTurn convincing Ned to side with him]], Zephyr and Ned became this due to Ned having been Zephyr's master in their previous lives with Ned teaching him the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts.
* SuicideAttack: After lowering Tartarus's guard by pretending to consider The God of Demons's offer, Zephyr latched onto Tartarus's right hand and blew himself up by activating the curse Altair put on him, taking the right hand with him.
* SuperStrength: Seeing as how a dragonified Zephyr could pull Blue Dragon Artalis out of the Lake of Life like one would pull out a fish despite being ''much, MUCH'' smaller than her, he definitely has this while under <Dragonification>.
* SupremeChef: Absolutely proved just how amazing of a chef he is when preparing the Blue Dragon Ribs. Zephyr made the scrumptious marinade himself from an old family recipe and used Ramiel's poison to break down the protein to perfectly tenderize the Blue Dragon Ribs and allow them to be marinated in that special marinade. After using Ramiel's Magic Stone to get rid of just the poison and weak flames from <Dragon Breath> to slowly cook the meat, the ribs were ready. Mercedes couldn't resist and absolutely ''melted'' with just one bite. Zephyr was even able [[FoodAsBribe to bribe her]] with the Blue Dragon Ribs into delivering his letter to Lucius's guardian angel—whom he also bribed with Blue Dragon Ribs—and bribed her with three more servings [[ForgedMessage to make it look like the letter came from The Goddess of Light Aria]].
* SurpassedTheTeacher: Seeing as how Zephyr became the strongest of all of humanity in his previous life, he definitely did this to Ned.
* SwordBeam: To counter Dariel the Divine Archer's <Crimson Meteor> skill, Zephyr used a combination of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts and the Dragon Heart to create a dragon-shaped beam, which destroyed the imbued arrows mid-air.
* TaintedVeins: Had these while he was powering himself up with Zagan and Belial. After circulating mana with <Mana Flow>, his veins started returning to their normal color and after White Rose stuck the last poisoned needle into Zephyr's head, Zephyr completely returned to normal while [[NextTierPowerUp doubling his stats]].
* TrainingFromHell: Zephyr subjected himself to this for the two weeks before the Blue Dragon Raid. To further increase the output of the Dragon Heart and the duration of <Dragonification>, Zephyr constantly practiced, [[SelfHarm ripped out his own scales]] before using <Language Enchantment>/<Dragon Tongue> [[CraftedFromAnimals to forge even more Black Dragon Arrows]], and killed countless monsters for Mana Stones and territory reclamation. It was to the point that on the night before the Blue Dragon Raid, Zephyr devoured a whole steak right before Ned's eyes before excusing himself to take a long rest. In addition, in the previous timeline, Ned and Blue Dragon Artalis subjected him to this as well; Ned did so for a year while teaching him the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts while they were trapped in the Canyon of Oblivion, and Blue Dragon Artalis did so during their month-long fight in the ritual space by constantly attacking him only to heal his injuries and repeat the process again and again until he finally defeated her.
* TransferableMemory: Upon being reincarnated ten years into the past, Zephyr was left with only his memories in addition to nine perks the gods gave him.
* WeaponOfXSlaying: Gram displays even stronger power against dragons, making it an ideal weapon when facing one.
* WindsOfDestinyChange: Thanks to the <Strong Luck> perk, Zephyr is granted about 30 seconds of immense luck with each use for a total of three uses. He ''weaponizes'' <Strong Luck> by using it to rush straight to the Tomb of the Fallen Princess's Boss Room and to raise the chance of the Dragon Heart being successfully implanted to 100%. In other words, Zephyr used <Strong Luck> [[{{Irony}} to turn those situations into anything but chance]].
* WordsCanBreakMyBones: Thanks to the successful transplant of the Dragon Heart, Zephyr can use <Language Enchantment>, which allows him to control the target. At first, due to the capacity of the Dragon Heart being initially set to 1% to prevent it from going berserk, the effect only lasted for ten seconds per use. He figured that out by testing it on Georgios. However, after Zephyr achieved the second form of <Dragonification>, it is unknown how long the duration now lasts. At the very least, Zephyr can control countless humans and monsters with a single <Language Enchantment>, as seen when he forced all the humans to kneel and all the monsters to stop after returning to the Third Parish of the Temple of Light.
* WorldsStrongestMan: Was considered to be the strongest of the humans, which was why the gods gave him a second chance.

The princess of the Kingdom of Cayenne on the continent of Aslan where the story takes place. Altair was Zephyr's lover in their previous lives, and Zephyr is strongly determined to save her this time around.
----
* ActionGirl: Is ''VERY'' involved in the fight for humanity. Altair became a pivotal figure for humanity in her previous life, and probably become one again in her current life.
* BattleCouple: With Zephyr. While Zephyr fights enemies head-on, Altair provides support via [[LongRangeFighter long-range magical attacks]] and [[StatusBuff boosting magic]].
* BeautyEqualsGoodness: Altair is very beautiful, and is clearly on the side of humanity.
* BigDamnReunion: Had a really heartwarming one with Zephyr once the transplant of Blue Dragon Artalis's Dragon Heart was successful after several days of being apart.
* BlueBlood: In addition to being the Crown Princess, Altair is also the Grand Duchess of Lindell, the territory she was awarded when she turned 16.
* BornLucky: Let's see...incredible looks, talent, noble bloodline, being the next in line to the throne due to Polaris [[AbdicateTheThrone giving up his right of succession to become a Priest of Light]] and her other older brother being too sick to become the next king...Altair really was born lucky. Too bad said luck was not enough for her to survive in her previous life.
* CharacterLevel: Before meeting Zephyr in their current lives, Altair was stuck at Level 2 of the Ancient Magics of Medea. However, after absorbing the Crystal of Magic, Altair became Level 3, and Eurydice speculated that she might reach Level 8, something Eurydice couldn't do.
* ChekhovsSkill: Although Altair meant for it to stop Zephyr from flipping people off, he used the curse she placed on him [[SuicideAttack to blow himself up]] and [[AnArmAndALeg take Tartarus's right hand with him]].
* ConnectedAllAlong: Altair is the descendant of Eurydice and Georgios, two of The Twelve Heroes who fought against the demons a thousand years ago and [[{{Curse}} the Fallen Princess and the Gatekeeper of the Tomb of the Fallen Princess, respectively]]. After Zephyr [[BeatTheCurseOutOfHer purified Eurydice]], she transplanted the Dragon Heart into him and after Zephyr defeated and purified Georgios, he took Georgios's sword Gram and the dragon slayer's armor. Altair is also the sister of Polaris Albert Cayenne, the youngest cardinal in the Temple of Light and the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers, in addition to being the cousin of Lucius Giornetti, the current Holy One of Light/Saint of Light.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Altair was shown to be ''EXTREMELY'' jealous of Leah Testarossa to the point [[DidIJustSayThatOutLoud that she said her true feelings about wanting to torture and use Leah as much as Leah had pained them out loud]] instead of saying the socially acceptable answer of wanting to help Ned with his long-lost family member...not that Altair cared even when [[ExcellentJudgeOfCharacter Zephyr]] pointed it out. While Zephyr was lost in thought [[TheFirstCutIsTheDeepest about how he could never understand Leah]], Altair purposely threw a heel past him with enough force for it to ricochet down the stairwell all while [[BlatantLies saying the string came undone]] before taking off the other heel, saying the other one completely broken off. Luckily for Altair, Zephyr now ''HATES'' Leah with every fiber of his being and finds Altair to be cute when jealous.
* CrazyPrepared: Altair kept a spare branch from the Tree of Life in case the original core of the magic circle protecting the fort was stolen, which came in handy after Elder Heron did just that.
* DidntSeeThatComing: After waking up from the week-long slumber caused by the Crystal of Magic, Altair essentially taunted Zephyr, daring him to try to persuade her within a month—no, three weeks—to make her and her forces move. However, Altair ''did not'' anticipate just how prepared Zephyr was to convince her of the Blue Dragon Raid; she and her companions were utterly shocked by the huge pile of scrolls that Zephyr summoned from [[{{Hammerspace}} the Silver Key]]. Instead of taking a month or three weeks, they mobilized in a few days.
* {{Doppelganger}}: While Altair was engaging in the Blue Dragon Raid, she had Lady Katie—one of her servants—disguise as her and go shopping and traveling in a luxurious carriage to preserve her image as a princess of debauchery. Altair also had Lady Katie sign off on the Thorn Mountain Range Clearing Project in her stead to make new farmland [[RedHerring in order to draw the Tartarus Worshippers' attention while Zephyr and his party teamed up with the elves to save the Danakil Plains]].
* EnergyAbsorption: The <Dark Hand> skill absorbs energy with the red hands absorbing stamina and the blue hands absorbing mana.
* EyeTake: Had a serious one after understanding [[CrypticConversation Zephyr's implication]] of Polaris being the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers by talking about the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers even though she had asked him about Polaris.
* ForcefulKiss: Gave one to Zephyr on the night before the Blue Dragon Raid to cast <Kiss of Darkness> on him. When Zephyr told her exactly what she wanted, due to the shock of him telling her that she had once died for him and that he came of his own accord to prevent her death, this made her angry with her strangling him with a red <Dark Hand>. To erase all doubts of who he is and what his motives are, Zephyr returned the favor by giving ''HER'' a ForcefulKiss to make her recast <Kiss of Darkness>.
* ForGreatJustice: Altair was the one to inspire Zephyr to fight for humanity in their previous lives, when all he wanted at first was success and to fulfill Ned's dying wish for revenge.
* GuileHero: Took advantage of the crisis the elves were in to gain control of the Danakil territory and the Elf Kingdom; by saving the Danakil Plains and the Great Elfen Forest, the citizens of the Danakil territory and the elves would pledge eternal loyalty to Altair and ''only'' Altair, instead of "humans" or the "Cayenne Imperial Family". However, since Queen Silvestia and Yggdrasil had similar motives to Altair from the beginning, everything worked out beautifully.
* HeroicLineage: Is descended from The Grand Sorceress Princess Eurydice and The Knight Georgios, two of The Twelve Heroes. Judging by how Altair is working to oppose the Tartarus Worshippers, she is following in their footsteps.
* HeroicSacrifice: Altair sacrificed herself in the Demon War, letting go of Zephyr's hand. This [[DespairEventHorizon devastated him]].
* HiddenDepths: Altair appears to be a spoiled princess who puts her immense talents to waste, but that couldn't be further from the truth; Altair had been training in secret and used her "search for a groom" quest to attract strong comrades, all so she can oppose the Tartarus Worshippers and covertly gather strong and trustworthy allies.
* IShallTauntYou: After Jingang—who had ambushed Altair and her party as they were heading to the Third Parish of the Temple of Light from the Great Elfen Forest—had been bound and debuffed, Altair taunted Jingang, mocking him for not putting enough thought into his party and for letting his guard down. Jingang roared with rage before Dariel executed him with an arrow to the head.
* InnocenceLost: Zephyr speculated that Altair became doubtful and sharp by the time they met in their previous lives due to losing so many people, which was why Altair was so trusting towards him in their current lives; because those losses haven't happened yet, and probably won't happen [[PeggySue thanks to Zephyr]]. [[SubvertedTrope Except not really]]. Even in her current life, Altair does not believe in unexpected strokes of luck or fate. Now as to ''how much'' the deaths of those close to her amplified her doubtfulness and sharpness...
* KissOfDeath: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] in that <Kiss of Darkness> does not kill the target, but it causes the target to fall under mind control with their combat prowess weakened and being forced to confess.
* LoopholeAbuse: Enter her and Zephyr's party as a rescue team for the Ice Dragon Raid since due to Polaris's interference, investors do not want to get involved with Zephyr.
* TheLostLenore: Zephyr was forced to watch as Altair sacrificed herself, and had to bury her with his own two hands. This time around, Zephyr [[TheDeterminator will do anything in his power]] to prevent this from happening again.
* LoveInterest: Altair was Zephyr's lover in their previous lives, and Zephyr only has eyes for her. In addition, on the night before the Blue Dragon Raid, they became lovers once again.
* LuminescentBlush: Had one after Zephyr knocked on her door, asking for permission to enter and to consummate their relationship. Also had one later on when thinking about her reunion with Zephyr after she and her party defeated Jingang.
* MotiveMisidentification: Thought Polaris had let the Danakil territory wither away because he had given up on it. In reality, Polaris, as the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers, ''purposefully'' had the Danakil territory polluted and sold his stocks and territory bonds in Danakil away to profit from the misfortune he had caused. However, after Zephyr managed [[CrypticConversation to indirectly tell Altair the truth about her eldest brother]], Altair will no longer misidentify any of Polaris’s motives.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: The reason why Altair had to pretend to doubt Aederius's claim of being the Sword Saint's last disciple? Because Altair is ''[[GenreSavvy aware]]'' of this trope and had to act like her usual doubtful self, despite knowing the truth from [[PeggySue Zephyr]].
* PowerCrystal: The Crystal of Magic is this. In their previous lives, Altair revealed to Zephyr that she had hit a wall when learning the Ancient Magics of Medea at around the age of 20. However, in their current lives, by absorbing the Crystal of Magic, Altair will become Zephyr's strongest ally and will be able to smoothly tune the Dragon Heart, immensely boosting Zephyr's own power as well.
* ThePowerOfLust: Altair used a promise of continuing what they couldn't finish the night before to motivate Zephyr into killing Blue Dragon Artalis in only ten minutes. Zephyr happily and eagerly obliged.
* ProperlyParanoid: Due to qualified nobles, strong adventurers, and even her own older brother refusing to help her for so long with her only being able to rely on people she built up trust with, Altair became suspicious of Zephyr, seeing as he did what she couldn't do in regards to the Blue Dragon Raid within only one month. After observing Zephyr during the two weeks before the Blue Dragon Raid, she realized that he had some sort of goal and that if he were to develop malicious intent or was under the orders of another dangerous individual, no one could stop him.
* ReincarnationRomance: In the previous timeline, Altair loved Zephyr and only Zephyr. In the current timeline, Altair fell in love with Zephyr yet again, and they became lovers once more.
* RestingRecovery: Was forced into a deep sleep as she absorbed the Crystal of Magic. She woke up a week later.
* RoyalBlood: Altair is a princess and is the princess of the Kingdom of Cayenne.
* RoyalDecree: Gave one to the Lord of Danakil in writing, and had Philip Pilgrim send it. After Captain Regulus, the Lord of Danakil's oldest son, learned of the letter, he rushed over to the medical relief station at the Danakil Plains to see what was going on, and bowed to the princess after learning that the letter was a decree from her.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: In both timelines, Altair held back the ''real'' Shadow Disciple of Jinryang of the East, allowing Zephyr to pretend to be the Shadow Disciple and fool Ned in the current timeline. In their previous lives, Altair personally trained Zephyr. She taught him Mana Control/Pressure Points, which allowed him to temporarily stop the Fallen Princess from using any skills on him.
* SeamlessSpontaneousLie: Altair is quite good at making these, such as when she convinced Captain Regulus that Zephyr was the Exalted One who received revelation from The Goddess of Light Aria to save Lucius and the world. She even showed him a [[ForgedMessage forged document]] that was supposedly sent from Lucius himself, and later also convinced the recently-freed prisoners of the remote village near the Great Elfen Forest that Zephyr was their salvation. Zephyr called her a master of bullshit and could barely hold in his laughter both times.
* SecondLove: To Zephyr. In the previous timeline, after [[FirstLove Leah Testarossa]] used and threw Zephyr away, Zephyr was hurt so badly by her and many other people who had also deceived him that he told himself that he would never trust anyone ever again. However, in that dark world full of lies, Altair was the only one who ever showed him honesty in the form of actions instead of words that can be easily fabricated. That earned Zephyr's [[DevotedToYou eternal devotion and love]], and Zephyr will only ever pick Altair no matter how many times he might start over.
* SecretKeeper: Like Ned, Altair decided to keep the fact that Zephyr is from the future a secret due to how dangerous it would be for more people to find out.
* SensorCharacter: Is immediately able to detect the arrival of anyone by sensing changes in her mana field, and can hear the gist of conversations of people in her mana field as well.
* ShipperOnDeck: For Ned and Ophelia. With a bright smile on her face, Altair wished for Ned and Ophelia to never let go of their hands.
* SkippingSchool: Skipped school so many times to the point Altair believed that Academy Dean Eugenio Vitel did not like her. Even if it was to keep up the façade of being a princess sunk in debauchery so she could secretly grow her strength in the shadows, it still does not change the fact that she had such a spotty attendance record.
* SlasherSmile: Had one when Zephyr convinced the entire party (minus those with knowledge of the future) that Aederius appearing could make her look suspicious to the Tartarus Worshippers, justifying a reason for Zephyr to intercept Aederius all without revealing knowledge of the future to those who do not know of it.
* StatusBuff: Right before the Blue Dragon Raid commenced, Altair—along with Elise and Kiara—casted strengthening spells on Zephyr.
* StatusEffects: The <Ghost> skill summons a ghost that binds to the target, slowing them down and confusing their senses.
* SuperpowerfulGenetics: Altair inherited her ancestor Eurydice's magic, which was why Eurydice wanted Zephyr to give the Crystal of Magic to her.
* SupportPartyMember: With the <Moirai> skill, Altair is able to tone a subject's mana. Altair harnessed the thick mana density of the Great Elfen Forest, the overflowing vitality from the Water of Life boosted by the <Hermes's Secret Skill> perk, and the dragon's power strengthened by <Dragonifcation> to upgrade Zephyr's <Dragonification> to its second form. In addition, thanks to her <Circle of Magic> skill, Altair can boost the power and duration of spells by 100% within the field, which was really useful when Zephyr was forging the Black Dragon Longbow and Black Dragon Arrows with Blacksmith Noel.
* TendrilsOfDarkness: The <Thorn of Sins> skill launches a myriad of thorny vines at the target, binding the target and inflicting immense pain through the thorns digging into the target's skin.
* ThemeNaming: Members born into the Cayenne Imperial Family are named after stars and constellations. For insurance, Polaris and Altair are named after the Polaris and Altair stars while King Leo III is named after the Leo constellation. This doubles as MeaningfulName, since Polaris and Altair are the brightest stars in their respective constellations—Ursa Minor/Little Dipper and Aquila respectively—while the Leo constellation was well-known in most ancient cultures and is reminiscent of the shape of Aslan itself…a lion. This highlights the importance all three will have for the future of Aslan, whether for better or for worse.
* TouchTelepathy: Because of Altair's incomplete <Communion> skill, by touching someone, she can distinguish if a person is an enemy or not based on feelings of hostility or warmth. In her previous life, she would later be able to see the memories of whomever she touched. However, in her current life, she currently has no control over when that happens due to her not mastering it yet with <Communion> being an unexpectedly advanced skill.
* TruthSerum: <Kiss of Darkness> acts as a spell-version of one, which was why [[ForcefulKiss Altair casted it on Zephyr]]; to find out if he was working for anyone dangerous and who sent him. However, [[AllAccordingToPlan Zephyr had anticipated it]] and even ''wanted'' her to cast it on him seeing as she had yet to master <Communion>, due to its ability to reveal the truth to Altair.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: For most of her life, Altair was convinced that having love simply creates weaknesses and that she just needed someone who could lead her to victory. She was convinced that she would have no love in her life and would be lonely forever, until Zephyr came into the picture. Her heart ached so badly when she learned of how Zephyr lost everyone and was the only survivor to the point she couldn't sleep, and when she felt she would break down if she didn't do something for Zephyr, that was when Altair realized that that was what love was like. Altair would not be alone on her thorny path, walking it with Zephyr hand-in-hand and without looking back.
* WomenPreferStrongMen: Before considering marriage, Altair does not even want to utter a word to weak men. Which was why countless men of nobility either lined up—or hired proxies to line up on their behalf—to fight [[LadyOfWar Ophelia Amleth]], Altair's First Guardian Knight, for a chance to have a conversation with Altair. [[HiddenDepths Turns out this was just an excuse to seek out strong and reliable companions to fight the Tartarus Worshippers without arousing suspicion]].
* YouAreNotAlone: Realized this after learning that Zephyr was walking the same thorny path as her with them walking it together hand-in-hand.

One of Zephyr's mentors from his previous life. Fade taught Zephyr all he knew about poisons and gave Zephyr all of his recipes before the world ended.
----
* AloofAlly: Served as this in both timelines. In the previous timeline, Fade only participated in the Blue Dragon Raid because he would be paid, and refused to work with Altair as long as Aederius was in her party. Meanwhile, in the current timeline, Fade only agreed to participate in the Ice Dragon Raid due to Zephyr giving him a convincing chance at revenge and utterly refused [[IntimateHealing Elise's]] [[NaughtyTentacles checkup]], screaming he was not an official member of the party before disappearing three seconds later.
* AntiHero: Is clearly on the side of good even from the beginning, but his methods are...more than questionable. Examples include [[JackBauerInterrogationTechnique interrogating Anna Primrose with a knife to her neck]], feeding Priests of Light TruthSerums, checking if Lucius had a Marked Bug inside him ''while he was sleeping'', and feeding fifty priests a time-release poison that manipulated them into starting walking out of the Third Parish of the Temple of Light via the culvert in a bid to force Lucius to talk about Zephyr.
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Asked one to Aederius after the failed Blue Dragon Raid in the previous timeline. When Fade asked Aederius if Aederius had fought a demonified Black Moon Ramiel and the poison got onto his armor, would he be able to guarantee the poison wouldn't have infected the others or run rampant? Aederius had no answer to that, justifying Fade forcing Aederius away from Black Moon Ramiel.
* BigDamnHeroes: Just as Ophelia was pinned by the [[BioweaponBeast Basilico]] and was about to be delivered a fatal blow by Leah Testarossa, Fade saved her by prying Leah's attack with his poisoned whip, saving her life and drawing Leah's attention to himself.
* {{Brainwashed}}: Thanks to the Blessing of the Elf Queen, Ned successfully brainwashed Fade into cooperating with him and exchanging intel. Even Ned himself was terrified of the blessing's abilities. However, Ned released Fade from the Blessing of the Elf Queen so he could use it on his older sister—since only one person can be affected at a time—only for Ned to fail with Leah. Thankfully, Fade had already cleared up [[MistakenIdentity his misunderstanding of Zephyr]] by then, so he had no reason to be hostile towards Zephyr and those associated with Zephyr.
* CrazyPrepared: Let's see...Fade happened to have poison that could help the elves during his visit to the Great Elfen Forest, had truth serums on him while visiting the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, had methods of checking if Lucius had a Marked Bug inside him ''without him ever noticing'', had poison that made the afflicted priests lose their minds, took out the Temple Knights guarding the culvert with him taking their rosaries as proof, has a really long whip built into his poisoned knife, is able to inject strengthening poisons into himself at any time...safe to say Fade ''really'' is this.
* DefeatMeansRespect: Only listens to those who are strong.
* DefectorFromDecadence: In the previous timeline, Fade refused to work with Altair again as long as [[IdiotHero Aederius]] was in her party. It was because he could sense Aederius's ulterior motives. Fade only agreed to work with Altair again after Zephyr joined him along with Dariel and Kiara, the two elves also having left Altair's party earlier because no one would believe [[HeroWithBadPublicity Dariel]] [[CassandraTruth when he said the dragons had to be killed]].
* {{Determinator}}: Was ''extremely'' determined to find the traitor of Persphone, following any rumors of poison or Jinryang of the East. Every time Fade heard rumors like that, he would look into it thoroughly, even if he was just grasping at straws. Executing the traitor was Fade's last duty to Persephone, which was why Fade was so determined to learn more about Zephyr; based on the description Fade received from Anna Primrose, [[MistakenIdentity Zephyr has white hair and uses poisoned needles to power himself up...just like the traitor]].
* ExcellentJudgeOfCharacter: Definitely is this. In the previous timeline, Fade was able to sense Aederius's ulterior motives after the Blue Dragon Raid failed and even warned Altair not to give him any kind of authority. Fade didn't say that out of anger, but because he could truly tell that giving Aederius any kind of authority would be dangerous. However, [[IgnoredExpert Altair forgot about Fade's warning]] after [[GuardianEntity Ice Dragon Merenia]] [[DestructiveSavior froze the contaminated Great Elfen Forest and Danakil Plains]].
* EyeScream: While visiting the Great Elfen Forest in both timelines and later while interrogating Anna Primrose in the current timeline, Fade still had both of his eyes intact. However, by the end of the previous timeline, his left eye was permanently scarred along with more of the left side of his face. It turns out the more Fade uses the energy stored in his left arm, the larger the scar grows. As to how much Fade had to use that energy in the previous timeline for the scar to have consumed so much of his body...
* FaceOfAThug: Fade had the left side of his face scarred over. However, although Fade was—in fact—a member of Persephone, he seemed to be a genuinely good person; he taught all he knew about poisons to Zephyr and others in addition to giving away all of his poison recipes to Zephyr, hoping that his poisons can save one more person and kill one more monster.
* FlashStep: Despite not having practiced the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts, Fade is still ''REALLY'' fast, as seen when he quickly vanished from sight from both [[PrecociousCrush Kiara]] and [[IntimateHealing Elise]]. In fact, Fade can get to places faster ''on foot'' than he can on horseback.
* HiddenHeartOfGold: Fade might look horrifying and might have been a former assassin, but he eagerly and willingly gave all of his poison recipes—which he spent his entire life working on—to Zephyr in hopes of Zephyr being able to save one more person and kill one more monster. In addition, in both timelines, Fade risked his life to enter the Great Elfen Forest to find his lost companions in addition to treating the poisoned elves.
* HiredGuns: After Persephone fell apart, Fade was employed by Duke Cesare Giornetti, Lucius's father and the brother of the empress, and allowed Fade to live in his grand estate.
* HitmanWithAHeart: Despite having been part of Persephone and hating humans, Fade still cares about humanity to the point that he gave away all of his poison recipes to Zephyr, hoping that his poisons can save one more person and kill one more monster.
* HostageSituation: Essentially held one by feeding fifty priests a time-release poison that manipulated them into starting walking out of the Third Parish of the Temple of Light via the culvert all in a bid to force Lucius to talk about Zephyr. The poison would still be effect even if Lucius were to defeat Fade, and Fade would only give the antidote if Lucius gave a satisfactory answer.
* InstantMessengerPigeon: More like "Instant Messanger ''Eagle''", but Fade received a message from Duke Giornetti via eagle, saying he would be visiting the Third Parish of the Temple of Light soon and requesting that Fade help Lucius.
* TheImmune: Seems to be immune to poisons, judging by how he could freely fight Blue Dragon Artalis within the poison fog during the previous timeline.
* JackBauerInterrogationTechnique: Pinned Anna Primrose down and held a knife to her throat as he demanded to know who gave her Zagan and Belial. Also planned on doing this to Ned, due to his association with Zephyr...[[MistakenIdentity who Fade thought was the traitor of Persephone due to both Zephyr and the traitor having white hair and using poisoned needles to power themselves up]]. Meanwhile, in the previous timeline, Fade did this to Zephyr upon seeing him for the first time since the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, demanding how Zephyr got stronger. Only after Zephyr revealed that he absorbed the Blue Dragon Heart and was [[TrainingFromHell "trained"]] by [[BloodKnight Blue Dragon Artalis]] did Fade accept him.
* KnockoutGas: Used sleeping gas to knock out Claudia and Marius before confronting Lucius. Luckily, the sleeping gas has no other adverse effects with both waking up six hours later, refreshed.
* LightningBruiser: Fade can hit hard ''AND'' fast. In fact, Fade could easily keep up with Leah Testarossa, a practitioner of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts, despite never having learned them himself.
* MasterPoisoner: Fade definitely is this seeing as he is an expert on poisons and is the creator of the 72 Deadly Poisons of Fade, the King of Poisons. [[CaptainObvious Which are named after him]]. [[MasterOfAll Zephyr]] acknowledges that Fade is ''FAR'' better than him when it comes to poisons.
* MeaningfulName: "The Viper", due to his affinity for poisons.
* MentorArchetype: Fade was this to Zephyr and several other people, teaching them about poisons and their effects.
* MisanthropeSupreme: ''Really, REALLY'' hates humans. It was to the point that Zephyr decided that all who had taught him—[[SadistTeacher Ned]], Fade, and [[BloodKnight Blue Dragon Artalis]]—have issues with their personalities. Hopefully, thanks to Zephyr's intervention in the current timeline, the worst aspects of Ned and Fade won't surface this time around...
* MistakenIdentity: Thought "Zephyr" was an alias for the one who had betrayed Persephone, due to both Zephyr and the traitor having white hair and using poisoned needles to power themselves up. This caused Fade in the current timeline to initially be extremely hostile towards anyone associated with Zephyr. Only after Fade saw Zephyr kissing Altair's hand in front of everyone did Fade understand that he misunderstood.
* NoGuyWantsToBeChased: Instead of being happy to see Kiara again after she approached him while they were in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, he look at her with contempt, sneering "You Again?" before vanishing from sight.
* TheNoseKnows: Even while unable to see Ned while Ned engaged the stealth mode of the single [[StealthClothes Mist Bracelet]] he had, Fade still was able to smell him. Fade was taken off-guard at first because thanks to the aforementioned stealth mode, Ned was both invisible and was unable to be sensed. Later on, the reason Fade was able [[TranquillizerDart to take down]] the [[MasterOfDisguise Smiling Woman Leah Testarossa]], despite her having changed her whole energy and having stolen someone else's cloak, was because he splattered a unique-smelling poison on her while they were fighting, and tracked her by scent.
* PoisonedWeapons: Within his poisoned knife, Fade has a poisoned whip that gives him a wide reach.
* PowerAtAPrice: The more Fade uses the power stored in his left arm, the more the scar grows. It grew slightly more after Fade attacked Ned, and completely engulfed the left side of his body—rendering his left eye useless—in the previous timeline.
* ProfessionalKiller: Fade was a member of Persephone, a legendary guild full of assassins who boost their stats with poisons and use a combination of outstanding martial arts and deadly poisons to take out any target they set their sights on.
* {{Sadist}}: According to Zephyr, the reason Belial causes such immense pain is because Fade was extremely sadistic.
* SarcasmMode: Was this in ''FULL FORCE'' against Aederius in the previous timeline. After Aederius demanded why Fade stopped him from killing a demonified Black Moon Ramiel, Fade sarcastically remarked how Aederius was skilled enough to elimiate all of the poison that was exposed to Blue Dragon Artalis's mana and how Aederius was more knowledgeable than [[MasterPoisoner himself]] when it comes to posions.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Did this when [[TheMedic Elise]] tried to use [[IntimateHealing <Angel’s]] [[NaughtyTentacles Embrace>]] on him with him declaring that he wasn’t an official member of Zephyr’s and Altair’s party before vanishing three seconds later. Meanwhile, after the failed Blue Dragon Raid in the previous timeline, Fade left Altair's party, refusing to work alongside her as long as [[IdiotHero Aederius]] was there.
* SpontaneousWeaponCreation: Can use the energy stored in his left arm to spontaneously create a horrifying dagger.
* StealthExpert: Was able to effortlessly slip past the barrier surrounding the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, and did so without detection. He was also able to sneak up on ''[[SemiDivine Lucius]]'' and even checked to see if he had a Marked Bug inside him ''while he was asleep all without him ever waking up''.
* StrongAndSkilled: Has both ''IMMENSE'' knowledge on poisons and stellar martial arts abilities.
* SupernaturalFearInducer: The strange energy hidden within Fade's left arm left Ned feeling suffocated and dizzy...not unlike a [[BioweaponBeast Shoggoth]]. It left Ned paralyzed and vulnerable to a devastating strike...[[BigDamnHeroes had Ophelia not ambushed Fade with a powerful kick]] [[SuperScream before proceeding to paralyze Fade with a powerful scream]].
* TaintedVeins: While using poisons to strengthen himself, Fade's veins are colored green. However, this doesn't slow him down in the slightest.
* TrainingFromHell: Judging by what he told Ned about the procedure that most young members of Persephone went through and how said procedure affects those who survive, it seems like Fade went through it as well. Meaning his brain was broken down through either physical means or through poison and then poisonous incense was used to make him learn mnemonics that help the flow of mana, ''DRASTICALLY'' improving his sense of smell to inhuman levels. Oh, and said procedure ''has a 90% mortality rate''.
* TrueCompanions: Zephyr considers Fade as such. Seeing as how Fade so readily gave away all of his recipes to Zephyr, Fade sees Zephyr as such as well...at least in their previous lives. In their current lives, Fade did not like Zephyr the moment Fade saw him. Ophelia speculated that Fade also had to dance to bypass the <Labyrinth Maker> Ned had set up in the sewer in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, all without knowing that ''Ned'' was the one who set up those conditions, [[{{Misblamed}} not]] [[WrongAssumption Zephyr]], in addition to the <Labyrinth Maker> itself. However, after Zephyr offered to help Fade get his revenge on the Tarantula in exchange for helping Zephyr with the Ice Dragon Raid, Fade's impression of Zephyr most likely improved ''DRASTICALLY''.

One of the official disciples of Jinryang of the East, the 9th-highest ranking Tartarus Worshipper. He worked under Mathias Grimmer, the 36th-highest ranking Tartarus Worshipper. Both infiltrated the Temple of Light, working as Inquisitors to hide their agenda. Upon learning the truth from Zephyr, Ned betrayed Mathias and the Tartarus Worshippers and allied with Zephyr instead.

!! Tropes:
* AbsurdCuttingPower: In the previous timeline, Ned used a single leaf ''to cut through several logs with ease''. In the current timeline, Ned is capable of ''so much more'' due to not being wounded and emaciated, and after having geared up.
* AncestralWeapon: Blood Tears is a powerful sword that Ned and his family possessed. It was an heirloom that was passed down from generation to generation after their ancestor got it by defeating demons in the desert. His father lost it in the [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything Dungeon Bubble Break]] to Cardinal Oldin Lasker who passed it on to [[ParentalSubstitute Jinryang]] [[EtTuBrute of the]] [[TheMaster East]], Ned's master.
* AssassinationAttempt: Tried to kill Zephyr for using the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts, which were supposed to be exclusive to Jinryang of the East and the official disciples. Ned only stopped trying to kill Zephyr after [[SeamlessSpontaneousLie Zephyr convinced Ned that he was the secret Shadow Disciple with him using his knowledge of Blood Tears to seal the deal]].
* BadassCape: In addition to looking cool, the Crow Cape allows Ned [[TeleportCloak to teleport a short distance away]] after [[SelfDuplication making a clone out of mana]].
* BattleTrophy: The Moon Sword after Cardinal Oldin Lasker and the Twin Knights were defeated. In addition, before Zephyr and Ned departed the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Lucius gave the Sun Sword to Ned.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Ned genuinely thanked Zephyr after Zephyr told him the truth because Zephyr took revenge for Ned in their previous lives, and helped him in their current lives. It helped Ned realize that he was living his life wrong, and that what he wanted most [[FamilyOfChoice was a family]].
* BestServedCold: Twelve years after Cardinal Oldin Lasker had the Twin Knights murder Ned's father, Ned taunted the Golden Knight by showing him his little brother's—the Silver Knight's—sword after killing the Silver Knight and using it to fight him.
* BigDamnHeroes: Ned made quite a show of saving Lucius's wife—Sister Claudia—from Cardinal Oldin Lasker. He was also quite flashy when he rushed at the fake Silver Knight and uppercutted him square in the jaw, allowing Claudia to save her and Lucius's son, Marius. In addition, Ned saved Queen Silvestia just before the demonified Crimson Moon Masha could attack her, ambushing the demon with several skillful slashes from the Sword of Mirage and a powerful <Thunderbolt> before killing her with help from the Tree of Life. Later on, while Fade was confronting Lucius in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Ned appeared out of nowhere and electrocuted Fade just as he was about to give Lucius an ultimatum, drawing Fade's attention to Ned—who was invisible due to the single Mist Bracelet he wore—and piquing Fade's interest with the Blessing of the Elf Queen mark on Ned's face after the stealth mode was disengaged.
* BloodFromTheMouth: After the Golden Knight [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice impaled him in the gut]]. Luckily, Ned survived and managed to kill the Golden Knight and later got completely healed.
* BrainwashingForTheGreaterGood: Did this to Fade to get him to help with humanity's survival. Despite that, Ned was horrified by just ''how'' effective it was.
* BrokenPedestal: After finding out that Jinryang of the East betrayed him, Ned was ''SHATTERED''.
* BrutalHonesty: Told Zephyr not to tell Altair about their relationship in their previous lives because if Zephyr were to do so, she would think of him as either a lunatic or a pervert. Seeing as Altair still did not gain full access to the <Communion> skill due to it being an unexpectedly advanced skill with her only reaching Level 3 after absorbing the Crystal of Magic, Ned made the right call.
* ConvenientlyTimedAttackFromBehind: Just as it looked like all hope was lost for Lucius while Fade was confronting him, Ned suddenly appeared from behind and electrocuted Fade with a <Thunderclap Palm Strike>. This turned Fade's full attention to the intruder, as Ned was invisible to both Fade and Lucius due to the single Mist Bracelet he wore.
* DeathGlare: Gave one to Lucius when Lucius first presented himself to the raid party for the Tomb of the Fallen Princess. Also gave one to Zephyr and pointed the Sword of Mirage at him while confronting him about the truth.
* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: Ned only ever held fond memories of his father, Leonard Stryer. After his father was killed by Cardinal Oldin Lasker and the Twin Knights, one of the only reasons Ned had for living was to avenge his father with the other being to retrieve Blood Tears.
* DefectorFromDecadence: Ned betrayed the Tartarus Worshippers after learning that the leader and six of the twelve apostles were also high-ranking priests in the Temple of Light with [[ArchEnemy Cardinal Oldin Lasker]], the one who tricked his father and who had the Twin Knights kill his father, being one of said twelve apostles.
* DoppelgangerSpin: Using the Crow Cape, Ned can create a multitude of mana clones and hide himself amongst them. He did this to lethal effect against the Golden Knight.
* DramaticIrony: Both Ned and Leah were technically together for years and could have been reunited at any moment, but weren't due to 1) Ned thinking Leah was dead and 2) Leah forgetting all about Ned. And that Shadow Disciples are meant to be hidden from ''everyone'' and Jinryang of the East did not want them to be reunited so he could continue to use them separately for his own bidding.
* EnergyWeapon: The Sword of Mirage is this. The Sword of Mirage can make a blade out of mana whose size and form changes depending on the user’s mana. Ned made the blade [[{{BFS}} really long]] when ambushing Oldin and the Golden Knight, and made it [[WhipSword into a whip]] to disarm Ophelia.
* EtTuBrute: Ned felt extremely distraught by [[ParentalSubstitute Jinryang of the East]] betraying him and was so distraught, he easily fell for an illusion that the Fallen Princess Eurydice casted on him. In addition, in their previous lives, Jingang—whom he considered to be a brother—was the one who found Ned while he was on the run with the Dragon Heart, beat Ned up, stole it from Ned, and left Ned to die.
* EyeTake: Had a hilarious one after witnessing one of Altair's potential suitors crash onto the ground right next to him. Later on, Ned had a much more serious one after witnessing Zephyr use a combination of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts and the Dragon Heart to create a dragon-shaped beam to counter Dariel the Divine Archer's <Crimson Meteor> skill, due to his surprise that there was a stage in the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts that used the power of a dragon and not just ''resembled'' a dragon.
* FaceFramedInShadow: When Zephyr returned from the party at Lindell Castle, Ned was sitting down in an intimidating pose with his face framed in shadow and the Sword of Mirage in hand. Zephyr took a ''MASSIVE'' [[DamnYouMuscleMemory step back reflexively]] due to instances of [[MisdirectedOutburst Ned beating Zephyr senselessly in their previous lives whenever he was in a bad mood]].
* FamilyOfChoice: After Jinryang of the East took Ned in, Ned considered him to be like a father and his son, Jingang, to be like a brother. That was why Jinryang of the East's betrayal hurt so much. However, after going through so much with Zephyr, he considered Zephyr to be a brother as well and after Zephyr told Ned the truth, Ned realized that what he wanted most was not revenge, but a family.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Ned was quite polite to Anna Primrose/White Rose when first meeting Zephyr while assessing if Zephyr was a threat. Ned was also polite to Zephyr when offering to work in the same group as him in the Tartarus Worshippers' mission to steal the Dragon Heart and take out Lucius, while keeping an eye on Zephyr. However, after [[HeelFaceTurn siding with Zephyr]], the "evil" part has been dropped.
* FireForgedFriends: With Zephyr. They faced so many life-and-death moments together, Ned considered Zephyr to be a brother. That was why he wanted the truth; he wanted to believe that their camaraderie was real.
* FlashStep: Thanks to his mastery of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts, Ned can move extremely quickly.
* FreudianExcuse: Ned's immense desire for revenge stems from the Temple of Light ruining his family and Ned watching as his father was executed right in front of him.
* HeelFaceTurn: After learning the truth from Zephyr and Mathias confirming that Cardinal Oldin Lasker was—in fact—also a Tartarus Worshipper, Ned betrayed the Tartarus Worshippers and sided with Zephyr instead.
* HeroicSacrifice: While facing Hondur, the Master of the Canyon of Oblivion in their previous lives, Ned threw Zephyr out of the way and blew himself up with [[SuicideAttack the final secret art of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts]] to save Zephyr. Zephyr regretted not being strong enough.
* HesitationEqualsDishonesty: Ned hesitated when telling Ophelia that Zephyr was the one who came up with the dance conditions to bypass the <Labyrinth Maker> Ned had set up in the sewer in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, when ''HE HIMSELF'' was the one who came up with them. Luckily for Ned, Ophelia was ''FAR'' too embarrassed to look further into Ned's answer.
* HiddenAgendaHero: Ned may now be allied with Zephyr and Lucius, but he only does so because they can help him get revenge on the Tartarus Worshippers for deceiving him. However, after Zephyr told Ned the truth about the previous timeline, this is no longer the case.
* ICantLookGesture: Ned made sure to avert his eyes while he was sprawled out on the ground and Ophelia was standing over him after being forced to endure Elise's [[NaughtyTentacles <Angel's Embrace> skill]] to avoid [[UnprovokedPervertPayback looking at wrong places]].
* IOweYouMyLife: Zephyr revealing the truth that the Tartarus Worshippers were just using him and were going to dispose of him and actually allowing Ned to have his revenge on Cardinal Oldin Lasker and the Twin Knights earned Zephyr his eternal loyalty with him wanting to repay his debt no matter whom he has to face. And after Zephyr told Ned [[PeggySue the truth about the previous timeline]], Ned expressed immense gratitude and told Zephyr that [[YouAreNotAlone he wouldn't let Zephyr shoulder the burden all alone]].
* {{Irony}}: Zephyr lied to Ned by telling Ned he was the Shadow Disciple, and Ned lied to Fade about Zephyr by telling Fade that Zephyr was one of many Shadow Disciples.
* JackBauerInterrogationTechnique: What Ned did to Oldin to extract information from him.
* LightningBruiser: Thanks to Ned's immense strength and the extreme speed obtained from his mastery of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts, he can both hit hard ''and'' hit fast.
* LightningCanDoAnything: While Zephyr was getting his <Dragonification> upgraded, Ned used a gentle stream of electricity to regulate Zephyr's breathing. Later on, while Leah Testarossa [[MasterOfDisguise had assumed the form]] [[EasySexChange of Mathias Grimmer]] and was waiting for the Fourth Parish of the Temple of Light Knight Order Captain and Interim Bishop Gertrude's answer for if she was convinced by "Mathias's" testimony of Lucius's blasphemy, Ned suddenly struck her with a powerful <Falling Lightning>, dispersing the flow of Leah's mana [[UnsettlingGenderReveal and forcing her womanly attributes to be visible once more]].
* LongHairedPrettyBoy: Ned has shoulder-length red hair, and is quite pretty.
* LongLostRelative: Is this to Leah Testarossa as her long-lost little brother.
* LyingToThePerp: Still in doubt if Zephyr had told him the truth, Ned approached Mathias and pretended to know who would be the Dragon Heart carrier, saying that the Temple of Light would be suspicious if the carrier stood out too much, proposing that he take it to the leader instead. This led Mathias to believe that Ned knew Cardinal Oldin Lasker would be the carrier and says that Oldin prepared the safe method, confirming that everything Zephyr said was true. After that, Ned made his decision and to ally himself with Zephyr and abandoned the Tartarus Worshippers.
* LuminescentBlush: Ned had one of these after Zephyr mocked him for falling under the Fallen Princess Eurydice's spell and had to save him from stepping on a trap circle. Had another one of these later on due to being forced to hold hands with Ophelia—who was also flushing furiously—in order for the upgraded Mist Bracelets to hide them both as though they both were wearing a pair.
* MagicallyRegeneratingClothing: After Queen Silvestia healed Ned, not only did Ned’s body completely recover, the Dusk Tunic was completely repaired, the once-missing left shoulder all fixed.
* TheMaster: Ned was the one who taught Zephyr the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts in their previous lives.
* MasterSwordsman: Ned is ''very'' skillful with swords and currently has three in his possession: the Sword of Mirage, the Sun Sword, and the Moon Sword.
* MindControl: Is able to use <Mind Control> on up to two targets thanks to the Blessing of the Elf Queen by maintaining physical contact with the target for at least thirty seconds and looking directly at the opponent. Zephyr asked Queen Silvestia to give the blessings to Ned too, which she did as thanks for Ned protecting her life. However, Queen Silvestia made Ned promise to only use it to persuade and recruit comrades that will help in the survival of mankind, which Ned did...with Fade.
* MisdirectedOutburst: In their previous lives, Ned would beat Zephyr senselessly whenever he was in a bad mood. This happened so often that even in their current lives, Zephyr [[DamnYouMuscleMemory reflexively took a huge step back]] when Ned was confronting Zephyr about the truth even though Zephyr was stronger than Ned by then.
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: For people he believes are a threat, Ned will try to kill them. That was why he tried to kill Zephyr.
* MusclesAreMeaningful: Was shown to be quite muscular, and is quite strong.
* NoMoreLies: After Ophelia revealed who the ''real'' Shadow Disciple was, Ned demanded that Zephyr tell him the truth, even if it is the smallest thing, because he considered Zephyr to be a brother and wanted their camaraderie to be real. Zephyr obliged, except he told Ned ''everything''.
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: Managed to subdue and kill a demonified Crimson Moon Masha, despite her [[PowerCopy being able to copy his powers]]. [[MasterSwordsman Ned used the Sun Sword, the Moon Sword, and the Sword of Mirage to defeat her]] while the Tree of Life, after being purified, helped restrain Crimson Moon Masha with his roots. Although sustaining nearly fatal damage, Ned survived long enough for [[{{Protectorate}} Queen Silvestia]] to heal him to full health.
* PosthumousSibling: Ned had an older sister who died at sea along with their mother due to a typhoon. Ned speculated that if she had been alive, she would have become a wife and mother like Sister Claudia. [[SubvertedTrope Except not really]]. Turns out his sister survived and became the ''real'' Shadow Disciple to Jinryang of the East. Unfortunately, [[LaserGuidedAmnesia she does not remember him due to the shipwreck causing her to have amnesia]].
* PowerTattoo: After receiving the Blessing of the Elf Queen, a glowing vine tattoo appears on Ned's right cheek whenever he uses it.
* TheReliableOne: Zephyr sees Ned as such, which was one of the reasons why Zephyr wanted to recruit Ned in the first place. That, and to pay back his debt to Ned for helping him become humanity's strongest in their previous lives. Zephyr trusts and respects Ned's judgements to the point that Zephyr has full confidence that Ned will do the right thing given the situation at hand.
* RestingRecovery: Eurydice had Ned rest for three days after giving him some of her mana and forcing him to throw up his Marked Bug, which remained a larva due to him never using its power.
* {{Revenge}}: One of Ned's main motivations. At first, he wanted to get revenge on the Temple of Light for cheating his family during the Dungeon Bubble Break and for Cardinal Oldin Lasker having his father killed. After finding out that Cardinal Oldin Lasker—in addition to six other high-ranking priests in the Temple of Light—was also a Tartarus Worshipper and in fact was one of the highest-ranking members and that his master, Jinryang of the East, had lied to him about helping him get revenge on the Temple of Light, Ned now wants revenge on the Tartarus Worshippers for using him. In fact, in their previous lives, Ned became so blinded by his desire for revenge, he trusted the wrong person and destroyed himself. Hopefully, with [[SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong Zephyr]] on his side, Ned will actually be able to realize his revenge this time around.
* RichesToRags: Ned and his father had once been quite well-off, judging by their large manor and fancy clothes. After the Dungeon Bubble Break, Cardinal Oldin Lasker seized the manor and Blood Tears due to [[LoopholeAbuse taking the "Baron Stryer" title as collateral]].
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: What Ned did to Oldin after Zephyr beat him to within an inch of his life with Ned inflicting all the pain and extracting all the information desired. After doing so, Ned admitted to feeling refreshed.
* RockPaperScissors: Lost to Zephyr who used "scissors" while Ned used "paper". Zephyr, as the winner, was to go to the party at Lindell Castle to gather intel while Ned had to find and take out Tartarus Worshippers residing there. However, Ned considers this a win because he hates social gatherings.
* SadistTeacher: Was one to Zephyr in their previous lives. Not only [[MisdirectedOutburst did he beat Zephyr whenever he was in a bad mood]], Ned also threatened [[ImAHumanitarian to turn Zephyr into jerky and eat him]] if he failed to properly learn the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts and until Zephyr was worth more than jerky, Ned would call him "Jerky". It was to the point that Zephyr decided that all who had taught him—Ned, [[MisanthropeSupreme Fade]], and [[BloodKnight Blue Dragon Artalis]]—have issues with their personalities. Hopefully, thanks to Zephyr's intervention in the current timeline, the worst aspects of Ned and Fade won't surface this time around...
* SecretKeeper: Of the fact that Zephyr came from the future. Ned and Zephyr agreed that mass panic could ensue if more people knew, and that information was the one true advantage that they had.
* SelfDuplication: The Crow Cape allows Ned to make multiple copies of himself, and teleport elsewhere after doing so. This came in really handy against his fight with the Golden Knight.
* ShipperOnDeck: Is this to Zephyr and Altair, after learning that Altair was Zephyr's lover in their previous lives. When Altair went after Zephyr the night before the Blue Dragon Raid, Ned held Ophelia back so the two could be left alone together, and wished Zephyr good luck. Ned also convinced Ophelia to drink more alcohol after the celebration of the completion of the Blue Dragon Raid ended, all so she could not interrupt Zephyr and Altair.
* ShockAndAwe: Thanks to his mastery of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts, Ned gained the ability to use electricity through explosive acceleration for both offense and defense. He was the one who taught these techniques to Zephyr.
* ShockwaveClap: Used one to blow away the poison smoke Fade blew at him.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Thanks to Ned teaching Zephyr the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts in their previous lives, Zephyr became the strongest of all of humanity and piqued the interest of the gods with them [[SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong offering to reincarnate Zephyr ten years into the past for a chance to change the future]].
* SoCrazyItMustBeTrue: The reason why Ned believed Zephyr about him returning to the past; because that was the only way him having the [[InfinityPlusOneSword Sword of Light]] despite not being a priest and him knowing too much made sense.
* StartOfDarkness: Watching Cardinal Oldin Lasker have the Twin Knights execute his father.
* StealthClothes: Thanks to the pair of Mist Bracelets that Zephyr gave him after entering Eurydice's Treasure Room, Ned cannot be detected by most detection skills with Legendary-Grade detection skills only being able to vaguely detect him. Before going to join Zephyr in fighting Oldin, Ned gave the Mist Bracelets to Claudia so she and Marius can wear them and remain undetected in the cave they chose to hide in and after getting them back, he gave one of them to Zephyr before they departed the Third Parish of the Temple of Light before getting it back after arriving at Lindell Castle. Later on, before Zephyr's and Altair's party left the Great Elfen Forest, Yggdrasil upgraded the Mist Bracelets to have the same stealth effect as wearing a pair even when two people wear one each...as long as they hold hands. Cue Ned and Ophelia furiously flushing due to being forced to hold hands while infiltrating the Third Parish of the Temple of Light.
* StrongAndSkilled: Is both really strong and really analytical. With his immense fighting abilities and the vast variety of electric skills at his disposal, Ned proves to be a ''REALLY'' valuable asset to Zephyr.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Ned and his sister share a strong resemblance, which was why Ophelia was so suspicious of him due to his sister being the ''real'' Shadow Disciple.
* StudentAndMasterTeam: After Ned [[HeelFaceTurn sided with Zephyr]], he and Zephyr became this.
* SurpassedTheTeacher: Seeing as how Zephyr became the strongest of all of humanity in his previous life, he definitely did this to Ned.
* TalkingTheMonsterToDeath: Tried to do this with Fade, saying that they should be sharing information instead of fighting. However, it didn't work due to Fade thinking Ned too was being deceived by the one who had betrayed Persephone...who Fade thought was Zephyr [[MistakenIdentity due to both Zephyr and the traitor having white hair and using poisoned needles to power themselves up]].
* TeleportCloak: Thanks to the Crow Cape, Ned can teleport shortly after making a clone of himself. This allows him to fool people by making them think they got him when they actually got the clone, with him teleporting behind them before retaliating. This is what he did to the Golden Knight.
* TrainingFromHell: Ned subjected the Danakil army soldiers and the elf soldiers to this for two weeks in preparation for the Blue Dragon Raid. The training was so intense, a Danakil army soldier complained that the two weeks felt like two months.
* TrueCompanions: Ned considers Zephyr as such after Zephyr helped Ned get revenge, as seen when he was ready to [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifice himself]] to buy time for Zephyr to get away from Polaris Albert Cayenne, the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers. Zephyr was a little moved.
* {{Turncoat}}: After letting Lucius, Leona, and Arno believe that he and Zephyr were actually affiliated with the Temple of Light and infiltrated the Tartarus Worshippers to destroy the organization from within, Ned decided to actually ally himself with Lucius so he can use Lucius's power, status, assets, and connections to [[{{Revenge}} get revenge on the Tartarus Worshippers for deceiving him]]. Before learning the truth from Zephyr, Ned considered Lucius and the Temple of Light as a whole to be mortal enemies.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Ned used to be a sweet boy who wanted to make his father proud. Watching his father being murdered right in front of him and losing everything changed that pretty quickly, though.
* WhatWouldXDo: When contemplating whether he should either chase down his sister or protect the people standing outside of the Third Parish of the Temple of Light from the Basilico and the hordes of monsters it had called, Ned thought of what Zephyr were do if in Ned's position. Remember what Zephyr told him about saving as many lives that do not need to be taken as possible and about Zephyr trusting Ned's judgement, Ned decided to fight the monsters and leave Ophelia to chase down his sister, as Ophelia [[NoSell cannot be fooled by Leah's <Transfiguration>]].
* WhenHeSmiles: Has a really nice smile, as seen when Ned thanked Zephyr for avenging him in the previous timeline and helping him in the current timeline.
* XRayVision: The Potion of True Sight allows Ned to see the Marked Bugs inside of Tartarus Worshippers and anyone who was forced to ingest a Marked Bug. He used it to take out Tartarus Worshippers residing within Lindell Castle while Zephyr was at the party gathering intel.
* YouAreNotAlone: After finding out the truth from Zephyr, Ned told Zephyr that he won't let Zephyr shoulder all the burden on his own, and that they will walk together in this life.

[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:Click here to see him with the Black Dragon Longbow and the Black Dragon Arrows]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dariel_black_dragon_bow_and_arrows.PNG[[/labelnote]]]]

A High Elf originating from the [[EnchantedForest Great Elfen Forest]] and one of the ten strongest people in Aslan. He is Kiara's younger brother and the son of Broken Moon Silvestia, the Queen of the Great Elfen Forest. Dariel is a phenomenal archer who was considered to be the strongest and made demons tremble in fear in the previous timeline. He was one of Zephyr's companions in their previous lives after he joined the Human Resistance Army, but started off as being hostile towards Zephyr and Zephyr's party in the current timeline until Zephyr treated the poisoned elves.
----
* ApologeticAttacker: Begged the Tree of Life for guidance as he shot the remaining eleven Black Dragon Arrows into the Tree of Life in order to use the wooden fragments fragments to hurt Blue Dragon Artalis, who had dove underwater.
* BadassCape: Dons one of these.
* BecauseDestinySaysSo: Dariel does not aspire to become the King of the Great Elfen Forest since the Tree of Life told him he wasn't fated to become one, instead serving as the Queen's Bow because the Tree of Life told him to do so. Even when the Great Elfen Forest fell into crisis, Dariel did not prepare to ascend to the throne nor did he perform the role of a village chief, saying that wasn't his role. After the remaining High Elves left, Elder Heron took on the role of leader. Because of that, several elves became disillusioned with Dariel and were more than happy to accompany Elder Heron as he betrayed the rear squad and rushed to the final Seal Box hidden within the Twelve Towers in the Great Elfen Forest. However, after meeting Zephyr, this might change...
* BigDamnHeroes: Just before Zephyr—who was frozen thanks to Blue Dragon Artalis's <Language Enchantment>—could be blasted with a <Dragon Breath>, Dariel fired two rounds of <Crimson Meteor>, severely wounding Blue Dragon Artalis. It was part of Zephyr's plan [[CrazyEnoughToWork in which Zephyr acted as bait by causing as much pain as possible while Dariel fired as much as he pleases]]. Dariel is amazed that it actually worked.
* BigDamnReunion: Dariel and Kiara had one with their mother Queen Silvestia after Ned brought her to them and the other elves. They cried tears of joy as they tightly embraced each other.
* BigLittleBrother: Despite being younger than Kiara, Dariel looks ''so'' much older than her, what with being more developed and being far more mature. Kiara, despite being older than Dariel, looks and acts like a child while Dariel himself looks and acts like an adult. It is to the point that it is ''VERY'' easy to mistake Dariel as being Kiara's older brother.
* BoomHeadshot: After Altair and her party thwarted the ambush Jingang had set up while they were headed towards the Third Parish of the Temple of Light from the Great Elfen Forest, Dariel blew Jingang's head off with an arrow right as he cursed Altair out, leaving nothing but a bloody stump where it bad been.
* BrotherSisterTeam: Is this with his sister Kiara, who provides him with the coordinates necessary for him to shoot enemies from long distances and from dense cover. In addition, her <Jewel Seed> skill increases the effectiveness of Dariel's arrows exponentially, allowing for the casting of spells such as <Blue Storm> and <Flame Dance> as the arrows wrapped in floral vines fly past.
* CraftedFromAnimals: The Black Dragon Longbow and Black Dragon Arrows were crafted from Zephyr's—a dragonoid's—scales, harvested by Zephyr himself after first achieving his second form of <Dragonification>.
* DefectorFromDecadence: In the previous timeline, Dariel and Kiara left Altair's party since [[CassandraTruth no one believed Dariel when he said the dragons had to be killed]] with the party members [[HeroWithBadPublicity opening gossiping about how Dariel didn't even act as a leader when he is the son of the Elf Queen]] [[MaliciousSlander because he wanted the kingdom to fall]]. Dariel and Kiara later joined Fade, who had also left Altair's party due to conflicts with Aederius, and only rejoined her party after Zephyr joined them.
* DivineParentage: Dariel and Kiara are the children of Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life and a [[SemiDivine demigod]].
* TheDreaded: To demons, to the point he made them tremble in fear.
* TheDutifulSon: Is ''VERY'' dutiful towards his mother and father, respecting them immensely and doing whatever he can for them. Dariel is fiercely protective over Queen Silvestia and took Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life's words to heart in addition to asking both for guidance whenever making a difficult decision.
* EnemiesEqualsGreatness: After Zephyr told Dariel the reason why he was weak, he came to realize that powerful enemies—like Blue Dragon Artalis—were stepping stones for him to realize his life's mission.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: As a High Elf, Dariel has cross-shaped pupils.
* ExtremelyProtectiveChild: Is ''VERY'' protective over both of his parents, doing anything for their sake. He was even willing to trust humans—whom where considered to be sworn enemies to the elves—if it meant saving them.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Is the "responsible sibling" to Kiara's "foolish sibling".
* HeroWithBadPublicity: Gained a bad reputation in the previous timeline after the failed Blue Dragon Raid, with plenty of [[MaliciousSlander malicious rumors spreading about how Dariel actually wanted the Elf Kingdom to collapse]]. In the current timeline, due to the Blue Dragon Raid actually succeeding, Dariel still has a good reputation of being the Son of the Great Elfen Forest and a member of the ten strongest people in Aslan.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Dariel has such a ridiculously amazing aim, he can easily hit a target 1.015 kilometers away...like Zephyr. He can hit targets up to 1.5 kilometers away in twelve seconds with regular skills, and in four seconds with the <Crimson Meteor> skill.
* InhumanlyBeautifulRace: Dariel, along with the other elves, is quite beautiful.
* InHarmonyWithNature: Dariel, along with the other elves, can [[GreenThumb restructure the plants of the Great Elfen Forest]] to make a comfortable nest as well as to make an impenetrable fortress.
* LetMeTellYouAStory: Did this to Zephyr in their previous lives whenever they were in a hopeless situation. Dariel would tell Zephyr stories of the Great Elfen Forest around a bonfire, as if to chase the darkness away. Thanks to that, Zephyr knows ''a lot'' about the Great Elfen Forest, which he used to his advantage in his current life.
* LongLived: Elves have lifespans several times longer than those of humans with normal elves having an average lifespan of 300 years while High Elves have an average lifespan of 500 years. Naturally, since Dariel is a High Elf, this applies to him too.
* LongRangeFighter: Dariel’s skills with a bow make him a ''very'' ideal one.
* MagicMissileStorm: The <Crimson Meteor> skill makes Dariel's arrows three times stronger and faster than regular arrows. Zephyr was forced to use the power of the Dragon Heart lest his allies be annihilated if he were to instead dodge. Even at a distance of 1.5 kilometers, it would only take four seconds for the arrows to hit.
* MaliciousSlander: Was the victim of this in the previous timeline. When Dariel voiced how the dragons had to be killed to Altair's party, the party members, who deeply respected Aederius, openly gossiped about how Dariel didn't act as a leader when he is the son of the Elf Queen because he wanted the kingdom to fall. That was one of the reasons Dariel and Kiara initially left Altair's party.
* MasterArcher: Dariel was considered to be the strongest archer. Seeing as he can easily hit a target 1.015 kilometers away and made demons tremble in fear, Dariel really is a force to be reckoned with.
* NotSoStoic: Dariel seemed like a rather stoic individual at first, but he really isn't; Dariel broke down after explaining to Zephyr why he couldn't face Blue Dragon Artalis, was shocked after Zephyr snapped his bow in half, was excited when anticipating the weapon Zephyr would make for him, and was horrified when Zephyr—after achieving the second form of <Dragonification>—started ripping off scales to make Dariel's new bow.
* PointyEars: Has these, in addition to all the other elves.
* PoisonedWeapons: Before shooting Blue Dragon Artalis, Dariel made sure to dip the arrowheads in extreme venom—presumably Asmodeus—to inflict even more damage and agony.
* TheReliableOne: Zephyr sees Dariel as such, to the point he made it a top priority to make an alliance with Dariel and the other elves in the current timeline.
* RespectedByTheRespected: Respected by Aaron Lucas, the creator of the original list that became the first iteration of the ten strongest people in Aslan.
* SkilledButNaive: Dariel may be an ''excellent'' fighter, but he doesn't know much about money, thinking 50,000 gold was "rather cheap". He also did not know of his placement in the ten strongest people in Aslan, not knowing that the knight he fought seven years ago was one of the ten strongest people in Aslan and therefore not knowing how he even got onto the list.
* SociallyAwkwardHero: Is definitely one. For instance, Dariel does not know the value of 50,000 gold and has difficulty with socializing with people in gatherings. This led to issues in the previous timeline since the members of Altair's party sided with Aederius, who was friendly and helped others at no cost, instead of Dariel, who was not talkative and not as socially inclined. This led to Dariel and Kiara initially leaving Altair's party, since [[CassandraTruth no one would believe Dariel when he said the dragons had to be killed]].
* SplittingTheArrow: Simultaneously did this to ''two'' arrows that had hit the bullseye of the target he was shooting at, all while preoccupied with how sad Kiara looked when telling Dariel of her decision to leave the Great Elfen Forest with Zephyr.
* StrongAndSkilled: Has perfect accuracy even from really long distances and has a variety of skills he can imbue into his arrows.
* {{Telepathy}}: Seems to be able to mentally communicate with any elf, even over long distances.
* TrueCompanions: In their previous lives, Zephyr and Dariel were very close, to the point Dariel would tell Zephyr stories about the Great Elfen Forest and Zephyr would eagerly listen. In their current lives, Dariel started off as being hostile towards Zephyr due to a general mistrust of humans, and was still cautious of Zephyr even as he was treating the poisoned elves. However, after Zephyr saved the poisoned elves, Dariel showed sincere gratitude and after Zephyr rid Dariel of his indecisiveness by breaking his bow, Zephyr earned Dariel's complete trust.
* UndyingLoyalty: To his parents Queen Silvestia and Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life. It was to the point that Dariel refused to ascend to a position of authority just because Yggdrasil told him that that was not his fate, and he would ''NEVER'' betray his mother.
* WorldsBestCharacter: Considered to be the seventh of the ten strongest people in Aslan.

A High Elf and one of the guards guarding the Door of the Great Elfen Forest. She is Dariel the Divine Archer's older sister and the daughter of Broken Moon Silvestia, the Queen of the Great Elfen Forest. She uses magic to defend the entrance, and can give coordinates to Dariel for powerful surprise attacks.

!! Tropes:
* ActionGirl: Is ''VERY'' involved in the defense of the Great Elfen Forest and was a massive help during the Blue Dragon Raid.
* AintTooProudToBeg: After admitting defeat to Zephyr, Kiara begged him to help the elves and the Great Elfen Forest as a whole.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Was looked down upon by other High Elves due to her mismatched eyes and her multicolored hair. It was to the point that [[MaliciousSlander they made rumors that Kiara was not Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life's child and that the misfortune that happened in the Great Elfen Forest was due to Queen Silvestia having her]].
* BigDamnReunion: Dariel and Kiara had one with their mother Queen Silvestia after Ned brought her to them and the other elves. They cried tears of joy as they tightly embraced each other.
* BrotherSisterTeam: Is this with her brother Dariel, providing him with the coordinates necessary to shoot enemies from long distances and from dense cover. In addition, her <Jewel Seed> skill increases the effectiveness of Dariel's arrows exponentially, allowing for the casting of spells such as <Blue Storm> and <Flame Dance> as the arrows wrapped in floral vines fly past.
* ButNowIMustGo: After the Great Elfen Forest had been saved and Queen Silvestia and the Tree of Life recovered, Kiara told Dariel of her plans to leave the Great Elfen Forest. This was [[BecauseDestinySaysSo due to her being destined to leave the Great Elfen Forest]]. However, Dariel—at their mother's behest—left with her and both joined Zephyr's and Altair's party.
* ChildishOlderSibling: Despite being Dariel's ''older'' sister, Kiara looks ''so'' much younger than him and is ''far'' less mature than he is. Dariel ''towers'' over Kiara and seemed to age ''much'' faster than she did, to the point that it is ''VERY'' easy to mistake Dariel as being Kiara's older brother.
* TheChosenOne: Chosen by Queen Silvestia and Yggdrasil to start her own kingdom. That was why Queen Silvestia gave Kiara, and not Dariel, the final Seal Box hidden within the Twelve Towers in the Great Elfen Forest; Kiara was the miracle that they desperately wished for, a person with a weak link to Yggdrasil and is an empty vessel that can contain the power of a newly-raised tree. Kiara was brought to tears when Queen Silvestia told her this.
* DivineParentage: Kiara and Dariel are the children of Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life and a [[SemiDivine demigod]].
* ExtremelyProtectiveChild: Is ''VERY'' protective over both of her parents, doing anything for their sake. She was even willing to trust humans—whom where considered to be sworn enemies to the elves—if it meant saving them.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Is the "foolish sibling" to Dariel's "responsible sibling".
* InhumanlyBeautifulRace: Kiara, along with the other elves, is quite beautiful.
* InHarmonyWithNature: Kiara, along with the other elves, can [[GreenThumb restructure the plants of the Great Elfen Forest]] to make a comfortable nest as well as to make an impenetrable fortress.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: Immediately knew to surrender after Zephyr displayed the power of the Dragon Heart, due to [[PoisonousPerson Blue]] [[TheDreaded Dragon]] [[PersonOfMassDestruction Artalis]] taking so much from the elves.
* LongLived: Elves have lifespans several times longer than those of humans with normal elves having an average lifespan of 300 years while High Elves have an average lifespan of 500 years. Naturally, since Kiara is a High Elf, this applies to her too.
* MarkOfTheSupernatural: Kiara has two different eye colors, one golden and one green. The golden eye has [[ExoticEyeDesigns a cross-shaped pupil]].
* OlderThanSheLooks: Despite appearing so young, Kiara is actually about 60 years old. This is due to her being an elf, a member of a race with lifespans several times longer than those of humans. She also happens to be Dariel's ''older'' sister.
* PointyEars: Has these, in addition to all the other elves.
* PrecociousCrush: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] in that Kiara is roughly 60 years old, but it seems like Kiara appears to have feelings for Fade, due to how intimately she spoke of him and how quickly she defended Fade from Zephyr's "accusations".
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Even despite her slow aging, Kiara currently looks younger in her current life than when Zephyr first met her in his previous life. Zephyr speculated that this may be due to how elves age.
* ShesAllGrownUp: In the previous timeline, [[RapidAging from the time between the failed Blue Dragon Raid and when Fade first confronted Zephyr]], Kiara grew from an adorable girl into a stunning lady and no longer could be mistaken for being Dariel's younger sister. [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] in that Kiara was over 60 at that time, but her physical appearance matured in just a few years. That was why when Zephyr first met Kiara in the current timeline, it took him a while to recognize her.
* StatusBuff: Right before the Blue Dragon Raid commenced, Kiara—along with Altair and Elise—casted strengthening spells on Zephyr.
* StatusEffects: Her <Pollen Rush> skill blows poisonous pollen into the targets' respiratory systems, rendering normal soldiers unable to fight as they find it hard hard to breathe. Kiara used this to incapacitate the disciples of the Dragon King-Style Martial Arts Jingang had brought with him.
* VineTentacles: Can use <Steel Vines> to ensnare targets with them growing tougher the more mana they absorb.

The Last Disciple of the Sword Saint John Howl. Aederius is the one who currently possess Requiem, the sword of the legendary Sword Saint and Zephyr's final weapon in his previous life. His sudden appearance at Lindell Castle in the current timeline raised an urgent matter that had to be swiftly dealt with.

!! Tropes:
* ALessonInDefeat: Zephyr planned on making Aederius's loss against him into Aederius's reason to get stronger in the current timeline. In the previous timeline, Aederius learned so much from each defeat at the hands of Ice Dragon Merenia to the point that his growth accelerated at ludicrous levels in just three months.
* ApologeticAttacker: Kept on apologizing to Blue Dragon Artalis over and over again in his head during the Blue Dragon Raid in the previous timeline, apologizing for each strike and for [[OffWithHerHead dealing the fatal blow]].
* BattleAura: Had one when challenging Zephyr to a fight. It quickly vanished when Zephyr used <Language Enchantment> on him, though.
* TheBet: Zephyr made a bet with Aederius, with Aederius getting Gram and Zephyr's Dragon Hearts if Aederius made even a single drop of water leave the cup Zephyr was holding in his other hand and with Zephyr getting to choose Aederius's nickname if he won. Zephyr won [[CurbstompBattle one-sidedly]] and gave Aederius the nickname "Mutt".
* BirdsOfAFeather: Aederius and Ice Dragon Merenia have so much in common, it's like they look into a mirror when they look at each other. That was why Aederius and Ice Dragon Merenia were able to get so close in the previous timeline and therefore the Ice Dragon Raid could not take place as Aederius made Ice Dragon Merenia his party's [[GuardianEntity guardian deity]]. Unfortunately, their story [[StarCrossedLovers did not have a happy ending]], [[MutualKill only ending in tragedy...]]
* BloodFromTheMouth: Despite using the <Lion's Roar> exclusive skill of the Silver Lion Mithril Armor [[DamageReduction to reduce all damage by 50%]], Aederius was knocked back so far from just one one-handed slash from Zephyr that blood spewed from his mouth before he heavily crashed into a nearby rockface, destroying it
* BloodKnight: ''Loves'' to fight, being excited to fight lots of interesting people by coming to Lindell Castle. Aederius gets more excited the stronger the foe he fights. For instance, while clearing the monster wave that had overtaken the Risha Barony, Aederius became so excited that he fought for days on end without eating or sleeping before charging into the boss's den and single-handedly slaying the boss one week later and clearing all the monsters from the three nearby territories in half a year. In addition, instead of being enraged by the aforementioned slash that made him heavily crash into that nearby rockface and destroy it, Aederius gleefully expressed how much he liked Zephyr with that being how a real fight should look like. Zephyr hates this part of Aederius, due to Aederius being supposed to carry out the last will of his master while risking his life so recklessly in fights.
* BornLucky: Let's see...having an overpowered master, having immense natural talent, having crazy-good items...is it any wonder how Aederius became the indisputable strongest of the ten strongest people in Aslan in the previous timeline?
* BreakTheHaughty: Zephyr is planning on doing this to Aederius, seeing as how he forced Aederius to crawl like a dog after him via <Language Enchantment>.
* ButtMonkey: Is looking to become one, what with how much Zephyr hits him. Of course...
* IronButtMonkey: Due to how strong Aederius is, none of his injuries last for very long.
* CannotKillTheirLovedOnes: Seemed to be unable to do this to Ice Dragon Merenia in the previous timeline. Ice Dragon Merenia is the younger sister of White Dragon Mnemoshuna, his beloved master whom he doesn't want to kill. Ice Dragon Merenia had been the [[GuardianEntity guardian deity]] of Aederius's party, and he seemed to care for her a lot. She served as Aederius's reason to get stronger, and when forced to fight her after she lost her will due to The God of Demons Tartarus's descent, [[IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight he probably tried to bring her back to her senses]]. [[MutualKill Which resulted in both of them dying instead of just her dying]]. In the current timeline, Polaris deliberately approached Aederius while introducing himself as an old friend of [[BigGood White]] [[ArchEnemy Dragon]] [[{{Irony}} Mnemoshuna]] and told Aederius how he could see his beloved master once again, all for the sake of preventing Zephyr [[GottaCatchThemAll from obtaining all seven Dragon Hearts]] [[AllYourPowersCombined to prevent the world's destruction]].
* TheCasanova: Had two girls sitting with him, one in each arm with one of the girls feeding him by hand while waiting for Altair to get the opportunity to marry her. Nina fell in love with him while he was defending the Risha Barony while Harty admitted he would make a good lover.
* CluelessBoss: Acted as this in the previous timeline after taking Altair's influence. Aederius meant well by wanting humans and dragons to coexist, but was ultimately moved the party in the wrong direction. This is one of the reasons why Fade didn't want Altair to give him any kind of authority in the previous timeline, and why Zephyr has Aederius on such a tight leash in the current timeline.
* CoolHelmet: Dons a really cool helmet, making him look animalistic yet dignified. With his wild white and red hair, it makes him look like a lion.
* ChronicHeroSyndrome: Seems to suffer from this. After clearing the wave of monsters that overtook the Risha Barony, Aederius slew the boss one week later and proceeded to clear all the monsters from the three nearby territories in half a year. Aederius even told Nina that he couldn't just sit back and let monsters endanger people, even if it would delay his master's last wishes of him assisting Altair. However, the real reason Aederius cleared all those monsters was to push off making a decision on whether he should kill all the dragons as per his master's will or not. Despite that, Aederius still saved the Risha Barony when he didn't have to.
* DeclarationOfProtection: In the previous timeline, over his master's dead body, Aederius vowed to Ice Dragon Merenia that he would end the apocolypse without killing the dragons, and asked for her help to do so.
* TheDeterminator: In the previous timeline, no matter how many times Ice Dragon Merenia knocked Aederius down, he kept picking himself up and improving himself. He only ate when faced with starvation, and only slept when his body literally couldn't take it anymore. In three months, Aederius went from being unable to face Ice Dragon Merenia in a bare fistfight to being able to hit her multiple times in her dragon form.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Can apparently ''eat'' a Dragon Heart, as seen when he was about to do just that after defeating Blue Dragon Artalis in the previous timeline...until Black Moon Ramiel appeared, that is. However, Aederius wanting to eat Blue Dragon Artalis's Dragon Heart [[HiddenAgendaHero was a ruse to take it and bring it to Ice Dragon Merenia so they can discuss what to do with it]].
* {{Hammerspace}}: The <Earth's Cradle> skill acts as one, allowing one to hide any item within the alternate dimension in the ground. Aederius can use it with restrictions due to receiving the blessing from the White Dragon.
* HealingShiv: In the previous timeline, Aederius used the <Demonic Sword of Sacrifice> Ice Dragon Merenia had given him to heal Blue Dragon Artalis in the guise of harming her, all in a bid [[TalkingTheMonsterToDeath to discreetly persuade her]]...only for it to fail since [[OnlyTheWorthyMayPass Blue Dragon Artalis would only deem Aederius worthy of her power if he could kill her]].
* HeroicResolve: Gained an especially strong one after being forced to kill Blue Dragon Artalis in the previous timeline. After being unable to save the ones he wants to save, he resolve to become a lot stronger and take over Altair's party. This is part of the reason why Zephyr has Aederius on such a tight leash in the current timeline: so Aederius won't gain the resolve to take over his and Altair's party.
* HiddenAgendaHero: Was this in the previous timeline. In the previous timeline, Aederius pretended to be genuine in being in Altair's party and pretended to be excited about his skills being acknowledged by Altair after being forced to kill Blue Dragon Artalis. However, this was all a ruse to discreetly take over her party to prevent the rest of the remaining dragons from being hunted. Aederius hid his emotions and accomplish all what Altair wanted him to accomplish, all to buy her and her party's affections and take her influence away.
* HiddenDepths: Aederius seems like nothing more than a blood-crazed lunatic who only lives for fighting, but that's not all he is; for instance, when is comes to dragons, Aederius wants to negotiate with them first and wants to avoid killing them whenever possible. In the previous timeline, Aederius used boredom as an excuse to rush to Blue Dragon Artalis and Ice Dragon Merenia when in reality, he rushed to them to see if he could communicate with them before Altair could get to them. Meanwhile, in both timelines, Aederius used the time spent ridding the Risha Barony as an excuse to push off making a decision about whether he should kill the dragons or not.
* HiddenHeartOfGold: Despite his [[BloodKnight nature]], Aederius is a really caring person, as seen when he refused to leave the Risha Barony until all the monsters were defeated, even though he needed to go meet with Altair as per his master's will. Even though it was excuse to push off making a decision about whether to kill the dragons or not, Aederius still did immense good for the Risha Barony.
* IHaveManyNames: "Aederius", "Aedi", "Last Disciple of the Sword Saint", "Mutt" (courtesy of Zephyr, after defeating him so one-sidedly at Lindell Castle in the current timeline), and "Dragon Knight" (after Ice Dragon Merenia joined Altair's party and he roamed countless battlefields with her).
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: Aederius seemed to have one with Ice Dragon Merenia in the previous timeline, after she lost her will due to The God of Demons Tartarus's descent. She had served as the [[GuardianEntity guardian deity]] of Aederius's party and was the reason Aederius had gotten so strong in the previous timeline. However, judging by the Dragon Heart and the key-like flint left behind after the battle concluded, it's safe to say [[MutualKill neither survived the encounter]].
* IdiotHero: Described by Harty Ho as an idiot who knows nothing but fighting. Zephyr could not agree more.
* {{Irony}}: Slew Blue Dragon Artalis in the previous timeline, and was defeated by Blue Dragon Artalis's power in the current timeline while fighting Zephyr in Lindell Castle. In addition, Aederius was the one who was harsh towards Zephyr in the previous timeline while in the current timeline, it is ''DEFINITELY'' the other way around.
* TheIdealist: Seems to be one, judging by how Aederius wants to prevent the descent of The God of Demons Tartarus, thereby preventing the dragons from becoming his servants and therefore allowing humanity to continue coexisting with dragons. However, there must be a reason why this isn't possible...
* IdealHero: Unyielding, never giving up, strong sense of justice, cannot leave anyone behind, wants to save the world without killing the dragons...Aederius really is an ideal hero. Too bad his idealism doesn’t work out in this universe...
* TheImmune: Thanks to the Silver Lion Mithril Armor, Aederius is immune to all sorts of abnormal statuses such as extreme heat and cold, poisons, and curses. That allowed him to be the one of two members of Altair's vanguard party alongside Fade who could freely move within the poison fog whilst fighting Blue Dragon Artalis during the previous timeline.
* InconsistentSpelling: Depending on the translation, his name and nickname may be spelled as either "Aederius" or "Aedirius" or "Erdios" and "Aedi" or "Erdi", respectively.
* LeeroyJenkins: Seems to have been one in the previous timeline. It was not obvious at first, due to how powerful Aederius was. However, people's overdependence on him led them to not realize that he actually could not take care of anything due to being too reckless. Zephyr is doing all that he can in the current timeline to fix this part of Aederius; Zephyr doesn't want Aederius to ruin things again by "being a dumbass".
* LostMyAppetite: Pretended to have a stomachache when Zephyr offered him Blue Dragon Artalis's meat.
* MadeASlave: Was made into Zephyr's dog after losing to him, with Zephyr giving him the nickname "Mutt". Zephyr plans on making Aederius into a sword with him being the master who wields said sword. However...
* HappinessInSlavery: Aederius was more than happy to honor his promise of becoming Zephyr's dog, being eager to follow Zephyr's commands. This is because Aederius was growing bored of fighting weak enemies and was searching for the thrill he used to feel while training with his master...[[ExcellentJudgeOfCharacter which Zephyr knew]].
* MasterSwordsman: Aederius definitely is one, what with being the Last Disciple of the Sword Saint and being able to effortlessly wield Requiem. In the previous timeline, during the three months he fought Ice Dragon Merenia, Aederius wielded the seven magic swords she gave him in addition to Requiem.
* MeaningfulName: "Dragon Knight", for advocating for Ice Dragon Merenia's inclusion in Altair's party in the previous timeline and how he roamed countless battlefields with her.
* MeetCute: Aederius's and Ice Dragon Merenia's first meeting in the previous timeline had them have the time of their lives as they fought each other, huge smiles on both of their faces as they enjoyed every moment. In fact, after Ice Dragon Merenia defeated Aederius, she asked for his name with that becoming the beginning of their magical winter. [[StarCrossedLovers Too bad their ending]] [[MutualKill only ended in tragedy...]]
* OnionTears: Had ''LOTS'' of these while Zephyr was forcing Aederius to chop onions for the meal Zephyr was preparing before going into the Silver Key.
* RaisedByWolves: Aederius, who was an orphan, was raised and trained by White Dragon Mnemoshuna's—Sword Saint John Howl’s—incarnation after the incarnation [[TrappedInTheHost was unintentionally trapped in the body of a lizard]]. For six years, from ages 12 to 18, the Sword Saint’s incarnation cared for Aederius, and Aederius grew to respect White Dragon Mnemoshuna ''IMMENSELY''. Which is why Aederius wants to negotiate with dragons and doesn’t want to kill them.
* RestrainingBolt: The Silver Lion Mithril Helmet in Training Mode acts as this. While in Training Mode, it coerces the wearer's actions with the Lion's Blood Drop, a part of the helmet that comes off during Training Mode to become a control device with features such as punishment, orders, and location-tracking. Zephyr makes good use of this to prevent Aederius from acting out on his own as well as to make him obey orders.
* SlasherSmile: Frequently has these, along with battle-crazed eyes, when fighting powerful opponents.
* SmarterThanYouLook: Despite appearing [[IdiotHero outwardly dumb]], Aederius ''does'' have quite a bit of intelligence on him. His idea of preventing The God of Demons Tartarus’s descent and fighting the Tartarus Worshippers ''alongside'' the dragons would be brilliant...had [[PeggySue Zephyr]] [[BecauseDestinySaysSo not have knowledge of the future]]. In the previous timeline, Aederius knew he had to increase his likeability to buy Altair's party's affections and ultimately take over her party. Even Zephyr acknowledged that although Aederius is naïve and simple on the outside, he's actually a cunning person who is well aware of what others are thinking.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Aederius's announcement of the passing of his master in the previous timeline caused countless fighters to appear in order to fill the empty spot in the ten strongest people in Aslan. This drew the eyes of the Tartarus Worshippers and drove the world crazy. That was one of the reasons Zephyr had to rush to intercept Aederius in the current timeline.
* StrongAndSkilled: Despite his [[IdiotHero outward]] [[SmarterThanYouLook intelligence]], Aederius is both strong and skilled. In fact, had Aederius been influenced in the current timeline by what motivated him to be strong in the previous timeline, even Zephyr would not have been able to subdue him during their fight at Lindell Castle.
* TakeAThirdOption: Instead of either killing all the dragons before The God of Demons Tartarus descends or letting them become The God of Demons Tartarus's servants once he descends, Aederius wants to ''prevent'' The God of Demons Tartarus's descension in the first place. Aederius believed no one thought of this because they were controlled by fear, but that most likely isn't the case. Of course, [[ExcellentJudgeOfCharacter Zephyr]] does not like what Aederius is thinking [[YouCantFightFate because of its failure in the previous timeline]]; in the previous timeline, Aederius tried to prevent the descent of The God of Demons by destroying all of the summoning altars...except there were ''FAR'' too many in ''FAR'' too many places, and Tartarus descended anyways.
* TaughtByExperience: Seems to be the best way Aederius learns, as Zephyr thought to make Aederius's overwhelming loss against him into a reason to get stronger. That was also how Aederius grew so powerful so quickly in the previous timeline; for three months on end, he fought Ice Dragon Merenia countless times and kept coming back no matter how many times he was knocked down, improving upon each mistake every time.
* TragicKeepsake: The Sword Saint's lizard body is this to Aederius. He keeps it in a basket of White Dragon Mnemoshuna's favorite flowers. In the previous timeline, as Ice Dragon Merenia spoke of fond memories with her sister, Aederius showed the basket to her and declared his intention to prevent the apocalypse without killing the dragons.
* UnknownRival: To Zephyr, since Aederius never denied wanting to marry Altair, who is Zephyr's lover.
* WorldsStrongestMan: Currently considered the strongest person in Aslan due to wielding Requiem, the prized possession of the previous strongest, the Sword Saint John Howl. Of course, this will definitely change as Zephyr and Ned gain more power and reveal themselves...

The current Holy One of Light/Saint of Light who received his stigmata at the age of 7 from The Goddess of Light Aria. He works as the Commander of the Temple Knights in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, and acted as the Raid Party Leader for the Tomb of the Fallen Princess. One of his duties as a Holy One is to punish heretics, which makes Tartarus Worshippers his enemies. After Zephyr saved him, Leona, and Arno from the Gatekeeper Georgios, they ended up believing that Zephyr and Ned are [[TheMole actually allies]] [[GoodAllAlong passionate in ridding heresy]], and become Zephyr's and Ned's allies.

!! Tropes:
* ActOfTrueLove: Lucius agreed to ingest the Princess Bug/Princess Worm without hesitation instead of letting his wife or son ingest it. Too bad Cardinal Oldin Lasker was about to feed it to his wife anyways...[[BigDamnHeroes until Ned intervened]].
* BadassBoast: Gives one to [[InconsistentSpelling Castor Hugo/Castor Vigo]] [[StrongAndSkilled the]] [[TheDreaded Golden/Gold Knight]] during their duel.
-->'''Lucius:''' "Do you know why...you and your twin brother are considered to be two of the ten strongest warriors on the continent? Let me tell you. It's because...Holy Ones are sacred beings...so we can't be included within a list of ordinary humans. Otherwise, you two would have never been among the ten strongest warriors."
* BadassBookworm: Was described as a top scholar by his cousin Altair, and is ''VERY'' badass.
* BattleTrophy: The Sun Sword after Cardinal Oldin Lasker and the Twin Knights were defeated. Before Zephyr and Ned departed the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Lucius gave the Sun Sword to Ned.
* BigDamnHeroes: After Ophelia paralyzed Fade [[SuperScream with a powerful scream]], Lucius came back with Leona and Arno with Leona imprisoning Fade with her Chain Prison skill while Lucius took a Skill Stone from Arno and proceeded to hurl it at Fade. Later on, while the [[BioweaponBeast Basilico]] and the legions of monsters it had summoned were attacking the people gathered before the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Lucius used the <Angel's Echo> to announce the coming of one, one who would hand the lives of their enemies over to their hands and would perform a miracle...Zephyr.
* BigWHAT: Was shocked and horrified when he saw what appeared to be Mathias Grimmer before those gathered in front of the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, despite Lucius himself having killed Mathias. However, Ophelia confirmed that that was not actually Mathias, but [[MasterOfDisguise the Smiling Woman Leah Testarossa]].
* BodyguardCrush: Rescued Claudia from the Twilight Mansion of Designated Isolation, and was made her supervisor after the Pope then forced Claudia to be locked up in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light. Lucius later fell in love with Claudia, and Claudia fell in love with him [[RescueRomance due to the kindness and respect her showed her, with him giving her as much freedom as he possibly could and him working hard to earn her total freedom]]. They later married and had three children together.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In the previous timeline, Cardinal Oldin Lasker managed to successfully brainwash Lucius and turn Lucius into his puppet. In their previous lives, Lucius was a nightmarish enemy that Zephyr was forced to defeat.
* BreakTheHaughty: After being saved by Zephyr and acknowledging that he had no part in defeating the Fallen Princess (in the current timeline), Lucius realized how arrogant he had been.
* CastFromLifespan: Lucius's Shard of Glory/Glimpse of Glory skill is this. Lucius borrows power from [[AlternateSelf the angel he will become in the future after he dies]], allowing him to defeat almost any foe as long as he gives up enough of his lifespan. For his fight against Mathias who transformed into a demon, he had to give up six months of his life. Lucius explained that the continuous use of this skill is the reason why Holy Ones usually only live until their 30s. Luckily, after Zephyr told his and Altair's party that the Water of Life can lengthen lifespan, Lucius now has a way to lengthen his lifespan to the point he can live a long and full life with his family.
* ChildhoodFriends: With Mathias Grimmer. They were friends since they entered the academy at the age of 12, and have been friends for twenty years. [[FalseFriend At least Lucius thought]].
* ClassifiedInformation: Shard of Glory is a skill exclusive to Holy Ones that is kept top secret with the Pope and a few cardinals being the only other ones privy to its existence. That was why Mathias, despite having known Lucius for twenty years, was blindsided when Lucius used it to defeat him.
* ConnectedAllAlong: Lucius is the cousin of both Altair Justina Cayenne, Zephyr's [[LoveInterest lover]] [[TheLostLenore in their previous]] [[ReincarnationRomance and current lives]], and Polaris Albert Cayenne, the youngest cardinal in the Temple of Light and the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers.
* CurbstompBattle: Handed one of these to Mathias before being on the receiving end of one after Mathias became a demon and was forced to rely on Shard of Glory.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Declared to Claudia that he would free her from her imprisonment by the Temple of Light, and that he would protect her.
* EtTuBrute: Lucius figured out that Mathias was betraying him after realizing that Zephyr—who had been vetted by Ned—and Ned himself were able to momentarily neutralize the Slave Mark.
* FightingYourFriend: More like ''former'' friend, but Lucius fought Mathias after realizing he was a Tartarus Worshipper.
* FromBadToWorse: Let's see...being barricaded for 44 days is already bad enough, but it gets ''much'' worse for Lucius. The joint defense counsel hired by anxious investors, the finance council of the Temple of Light who wants to push all the blame on Lucius alone, the Relic Management Squad dispatched by the Vatican to chase Lucius for his accumulated debt on the Stake of Faith, the Fourth Parish of the Temple of Light wanting revenge against Lucius for the deaths of Oldin and the Twin Knights, adventurers looking to challenge Lucius to take the vacant position in the ten strongest people in Aslan the Twin Knight left behind...all of them surrounded the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, all demanding to be let in. It was to the point that without reinforcements, even someone as powerful as a Holy One would be unable to hold them all off for long if siege warfare broke out.
* GoodFortuneFromGod: Unlike most other Holy Ones who have to train until they are 15 and then participate in a tournament with the winner undergoing a sacred ritual to receive the stigmata, Lucius received the stigmata directly from The Goddess of Light Aria at the age of 7 without having to do anything. As a Holy One, Lucius became well-respected and his family got wealthy from all the blessings he gave out.
* GoodIsNotDumb: Sure, Lucius may be naïve and sure, Lucius may be a horrible judge of character...but he isn't dumb. Lucius was the one who told Leona and Arno to locate the Stake of Faith due to Zephyr and Ned possibly having a way out of the Tomb of the Fallen Princess, realized that the Temple of Light won't make Claudia a free person due to the upper ranks belonging to the Tartarus Worshippers, figured out that his father was the one who sent Fade due to his father doing things as riddles, and deduced that Fade had a way to remotely cure the priests he had poisoned. In addition, by making people think he gave the Dragon Heart to Zephyr in The Goddess of Light Aria's name, Lucius ''knew'' that no one could do anything about it; bringing The Goddess of Light Aria into legal matters complicates them ''EXTREMELY'', and anyone who complains about the loss of the Dragon Heart will be labeled as a disbeliever.
* GoodParents: Is a loving father to his son Marius and his two older children.
* HappilyMarried: Is happily married to his wife Sister Claudia. Although they cannot be officially married due to being Priests of Light, they [[CommonLawMarriage still act like a married couple and even have three children together]].
* {{Hammerspace}}: His rosary is imbued with dimension magic, allowing him to store the Shining Lance and presumably other items within it.
* HealingHands: Although most likely not as skilled as [[TheMedic Arno]], Lucius can still heal really well, as seen when he completely healed Leona and Arno after they had been almost killed by [[EtTuBrute Mathias]].
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Let's see...Lucius had no idea that Mathias actually hated him, didn't know that all of the slaves Mathias chose for the raid on the Tomb of the Fallen Princess were secretly Tartarus Worshippers, and didn't realize that many of the priests of the Third Parish of the Temple of Light were also—or were controlled by—Tartarus Worshippers until he used the Potion of True Sight/Potion of Scrutiny [[XRayVision to see the Marked Bugs/Branded Worms inside of their bodies]]. [[LampshadeHanging Even Lucius himself realizes how horrible of a judge of character he is]] with Altair, Ophelia, and Philip knowing this as well.
* TheIdealist: Lucius seems to be one seeing as how he thought he didn't need to vet any of the slaves because he could just kill them if they turned out to be Tartarus Worshippers, claimed that the raid on the Tomb of the Fallen Princess was for glory instead of being strictly business, thought to rush the aforementioned raid because of [[TheDreaded Blue Dragon Artalis and Ice Dragon Merenia]], wanted to hear Mathias's reason for betraying him instead of immediately killing Mathias for said betrayal, and tried to reason with Mathias even after Mathias became a demon. Judging by Lucius's reaction when Mathias as a demon told Lucius that his father used his status as a Holy One to extort money from worshippers in any way possible and accused the both of them of being the evil ones, Lucius most likely actually ''wanted'' to give those blessings and doesn't want to admit that the Temple of Light was corrupt and ruined countless lives through the Dungeon Bubble Break.
* IOweYouMyLife: One of the reasons why Lucius trusted Zephyr so quickly was because Zephyr saved him from the Gatekeeper Georgios with the other reasons being Lucius feeling The Goddess of Light's presence on Zephyr and him sensing the Dragon Heart's pressure from within Zephyr.
* TheImmune: Due to being a Holy One, Lucius is unaffected by all poisons.
* JoustingLance: Lucius's Shining Lance/Spear of Brilliant Light is this. It gives Lucius a longer range and allows Lucius to blast foes with his [[WhiteMagic Judgement]] skill.
* KindheartedCatLover: Was shown to own a white cat, and despite his (previous) arrogance, is quite the kind person.
* TheLeader: Was the Commander of the Temple Knights in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light and acted as the Raid Party Leader for the Tomb of the Fallen Princess. However, he seemingly relinquished his status as leader to Zephyr after allying with him.
* LegendaryWeapon: Lucius's Shining Lance is so renown, it was only seen in books and—with the Winged Shield of Michael—costed Lucius [[NonIdleRich a third of his entire fortune]].
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: The Winged Shield of Michael—along with the Shining Lance—were considered legendary items that were only seen in books.
* MeaningfulName: "Lucius" is derived from the Latin word ''lux'', which means "light". Lucius is the current Holy One and has been serving The Goddess of Light Aria ever since he was young.
* MusclesAreMeaningful: Was shown to be quite muscular, and is quite strong.
* NastyParty: What Lucius held for the Tartarus Worshippers who hid themselves in the Temple of Light to purge them.
* NonIdleRich: Despite having a vast fortune, Lucius works as the Commander of the Temple Knights in the Third Parish of the Temple of Light and acted as the Raid Party Leader for the Tomb of the Fallen Princess. In addition, before Zephyr and Ned left the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Lucius supported them with gold, jewels, and magic stones as well as allowing them to use any kind of commodities in the Temple of Light in the name of the Holy One and writing them a certificate that allows them to mobilize troops.
* ObliviousToHatred: How Lucius had no idea that Mathias actually resented him the entire time they were friends, due to Lucius taking Mathias's potential place as a Holy One.
* OhCrap: After realizing that the Golden Knight's aim after starting to use the Marked Bug's power was not to kill him, but to collapse a building to bury the brainwashed priests and his uncle in rubble.
* OneHeadTaller: Is this to [[HappilyMarried Claudia]].
* ThePawn: Lucius revealed to Mathias as Mathias was dying that Holy Ones are essentially glorified playthings who are constantly forced into dangerous situations for the Temple of Light's profit.
* PeoplePuppets: Priests of Light can control the movements of anyone branded with a Slave Mark. However, other Priests of Light cannot overwrite Lucius's forced commands due to his status as a Holy One with only the Pope being able to match Lucius's capabilities.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Lucius does not resort to torture to get confessions, and will not accuse anyone without proof. Luckily, Zephyr was able to provide said proof needed to convict [[PlayingBothSides Cardinal Oldin Lasker]].
* SecretKeeper: To the fact that Zephyr has the Dragon Heart. Even when [[ProfessionalKiller Fade]] confronted him, Lucius kept the secret and told Fade to tell his father to invest in Altair to make up for the losses.
* SemiDivine: As a Holy One, Lucius is given access to immense divine powers and is treated with immense respect. Once he dies and becomes an angel, it'll change from "semi" to "full".
* StrongAndSkilled: Thanks to Lucius's status as a Holy One, he has access to strength that far surpasses most, as seen when Mathias was forced to become a demon to even push Lucius into a corner, and Mathias still lost after Lucius used [[CastFromLifespan Shard of Glory]]. Not only that, Lucius expertly avoided many of the Golden Knight's attacks and even [[SchmuckBait baited the Golden Knight into attacking his torso]], which was protected by [[AttackReflector the Mirror Chainmail]].
* TrueCompanions: Lucius considers Zephyr as such after Zephyr saved his life and helped defend the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, as seen when he was ready to [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifice himself]] to buy time for Zephyr to get away from Polaris Albert Cayenne, the Leader of the Tartarus Worshippers. Zephyr was a little moved.
* WeNeedToGetProof: Lucius wanted evidence of Cardinal Oldin Lasker being a Tartarus Worshipper instead of just believing Zephyr outright. Luckily, Zephyr was able to provide said evidence with the Potion of True Sight and the letters Cardinal Oldin Lasker exchanged with Mathias.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Was the main reason why Lucius wanted to hear Mathias's reason for betraying him instead of immediately killing Mathias.
* WhiteMagic: Has access to the Judgement attacking skill in addition to healing skills.
* WinYourFreedom: More like win ''Claudia's'' freedom, but one of the reasons Lucius was so desperate to clear the Tomb of the Fallen Princess is that the Pope promised to free her if he presented the cleared dungeon to the Temple of Light. Even after finding out the upper ranks of the Temple of Light belong to the Tartarus Worshippers and therefore they would never vote to free her, Lucius hasn't given up and will continue to fight for Claudia's freedom and safety.
* WrongAssumption: After Zephyr saved him, Leona, and Arno from the Gatekeeper Georgios, they ended up believing that Zephyr and Ned are [[TheMole actually allies]] [[GoodAllAlong passionate in ridding heresy]] when that actually wasn't the case. However, they let Lucius believe that because they happened to share a common goal with him. Later on, Lucius wrongly assumed the letter his guardian angel delivered to him was from The Goddess of Light Aria and ''not'' from Zephyr; [[JustifiedTrope justified]] though, as Lucius had no idea Zephyr had access to [[CelestialParagonsandArchangels Mercedes]], let alone [[FoodAsBribe had bribed her into having his guardian angel deliver the letter to him]] and [[ForgedMessage make it look like the letter was from The Goddess of Light Aria]].
* XRayVision: The Potion of True Sight allows Lucius to see the Marked Bugs inside of Tartarus Worshippers and anyone who was forced to ingest a Marked Bug, like his uncle.

Was the Captain of the Rearguard for the raid on the Tomb of the Fallen Princess. She specializes in long-ranged attacks and binding spells. After Zephyr saved her, Lucius, and Arno from the Gatekeeper Georgios, they ended up believing that Zephyr and Ned are [[TheMole actually allies]] [[GoodAllAlong passionate in ridding heresy]], and become Zephyr's and Ned's allies.

* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Has beige hair and beige eyes.
* LongRangeFighter: Her spells are best cast from a long range, which makes her perfect for the rearguard.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Normally, Leona's expression [[TheStoic does not change much]]...but she gleefully told Zephyr which item to get next from Eurydice's Treasure Room, excitedly revealed she has an appraisal skill, and was in awe after she received the Gem Spirits and the Obsidian Bracelet.
* OhCrap: After realizing that the Golden Knight's aim after starting to use the Marked Bug's power was not to kill Lucius, but to collapse a building to bury the brainwashed priests and Lucius's uncle in rubble.
* OnlyMostlyDead: Even after Mathias as a demon crushed her neck and made everyone believe she was dead, Leona was able to survive long enough for Lucius to heal her and bring her back to full health.
* PeoplePuppets: Priests of Light, like Leona, can control the movements of anyone branded with a Slave Mark.
* PowerCrystal: The Gem Spirits are this. They float around Leona, slowing down and debuffing enemies.
* TheReliableOne: Leona was considered to be reliable to the point that Lucius entrusted her with the Stake of Faith for safekeeping and to decide when to use it. [[KleptomaniacHero Too bad Zephyr had Ned steal it from her]].
* SupernormalBindings: Is able to cast Chain of Light and Chain Prison, which allows her to bind her enemies.
* WhiteMagic: In addition to Chain of Light and Chain Prison, Leona is also able to cast other divine/light spells.
* WrongAssumption: After Zephyr saved her, Lucius, and Arno from the Gatekeeper Georgios, they ended up believing that Zephyr and Ned are [[TheMole actually allies]] [[GoodAllAlong passionate in ridding heresy]] when that actually wasn't the case. 667
!! Tropes:
* BigDamnHeroes: After Ophelia paralyzed Fade [[SuperScream with a powerful scream]], Lucius came back with Leona and Arno with Leona imprisoning Fade with her Chain Prison skill while Lucius took a Skill Stone from Arno and proceeded to hurl it at Fade.
* HealingHands: Arno is a phenomenal healer as seen when he simultaneously completely healed over 40 people and completely removed their fatigue, all without breaking a sweat.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]], but Arno can still throw Skill Stones with astounding accuracy due to having been a handball athlete back in the academy.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: The Shield of Petrification serves as this. It allows him to block attacks and turn anyone who faces the shield into stone.
* TheMedic: Arno was appointed Head Healer for the raid on the Tomb of the Fallen Princess.
* OhCrap: After realizing that the Golden Knight's aim after starting to use the Marked Bug's power was not to kill Lucius, but to collapse a building to bury the brainwashed priests and Lucius's uncle in rubble.
* OnlyMostlyDead: Even after Mathias as a demon crushed his neck and made everyone believe he was dead, Arno was able to survive long enough for Lucius to heal him and bring him back to full health.
* PeoplePuppets: Priests of Light, like Arno, can control the movements of anyone branded with a Slave Mark.
* StatusBuff: With Battle Light, Arno can momentarily boost the attack power, light attribute skills, mana, defense, and recovery of his allies by 120%.
* SupportPartyMember: Other than throwing Skill Stones and using the Shield of Petrification, Arno does not really have any attacking skills. Instead, he focuses on support by [[HealingHands healing]] and boosting stats with Battle Light.
* TakenForGranite: Thanks to the Shield of Petrification, Arno can place a <Petrification> curse on people who face the shield, turning them into stone.
* WhiteMagic: Arno's healing and support skills rely on divine/light magic.
* WrongAssumption: After Zephyr saved him, Lucius, and Leona from the Gatekeeper Georgios, they ended up believing that Zephyr and Ned are [[TheMole actually allies]] [[GoodAllAlong passionate in ridding heresy]] when that actually wasn't the case. However, they let Arno believe that because they happened to share a common goal with him.

[[folder:Duke Cesare Giornetti]]
!!Duke Cesare Giornetti
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/duke_cesare_giornetti.PNG]]

The father of Lucius and the older brother of the current queen, making him Altair's and Polaris’s uncle, as well as being the brother of Bishop Alfonso Giornetti. He is the leader of the <Western Alliance> of the Western Lords and is a prominent noble who possess great wealth and power. In the estate of the duke, he houses several hundred guests including royals of fallen kingdoms in addition to assassins such as Fade. In the previous timeline, after finding out that his son Lucius was brainwashed and his beloved grandchildren were held hostage, Duke Cesare Giornetti became an important ally who gave everything for the sake of the Human Resistance Army.

!! Tropes:
* ArchEnemy: Of Ned, though to a lesser extent than [[EtTuBrute Oldin]]. It was due to Duke Cesare Giornetti's devilish investment idea that frauds like Oldin were able to be active and ruin the lives of families like Ned's. Ned sees Duke Cesare Giornetti as an evil person who contributed to the worst financial crisis ever.
* BlueBlood: Is a duke and a prominent noble who possess great wealth and power.
* ConnectedAllAlong: Is the father of Lucius, the current Holy One of Light and the uncle of Altair, a pivotal figure for humanity and Zephyr's lover.
* DelightingInRiddles: Likes to do things as if it's a riddle and likes to test Lucius. That, and Fade using sleeping gas instead of poison, was how Lucius was able to figure out that his father had sent Fade.
* DotingGrandparent: Absolutely dotes on his grandchildren. Before leaving the Third Parish of the Temple of Light, Duke Cesare Giornetti held Marius with Marius affectionately nuzzling up to him. In fact, his beloved grandchildren being held hostage before being killed was a ''HUGE'' reason Duke Cesare Giornetti became an important ally who gave everything for the sake of the Human Resistance Army in the previous timeline.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The first thing Duke Cesare Giornetti said after "meaningless introductions"? Not only would he ''NOT'' be providing Zephyr's and Altair's party with any monetary support, he wants ''THEM'' to pay ''HIM'' to access his wisdom and connections. In fact, Duke Cesare Giornetti would also have listed a third condition had Zephyr not shut him up by saying The Goddess of Light Aria told Zephyr to protect him before using <Language Enchantment> to force him to stay within a 10-meter radius of Zephyr.
* HiddenAgendaHero: In both the previous and current timelines, Duke Cesare Giornetti seeks to enter the boss room of the Tomb of the Fallen Princess not for the Dragon Heart, but for some unknown reason. Duke Cesare Giornetti never told Zephyr what it was, so no one knows his true goal. Duke Cesare Giornetti doesn't want to leak his true goal ''even to his own son and niece'' and wants to determine if Zephyr is an enemy or an ally.
* LivingMacGuffin: Was designated as a "key person" by The Goddess of Light Aria that Zephyr must protect for ten months.
* LoopholeAbuse: Had Altair enter her and Zephyr's party as a rescue team for the Ice Dragon Raid since due to Polaris's interference, investors do not want to get involved with Zephyr.
* MyGreatestFailure: Presumably, one of the reasons Duke Cesare Giornetti became an important ally who gave everything for the sake of the Human Resistance Army in the previous timeline was due to him underestimating [[DemonOfHumanOrigin Oldin]]. Thanks to that, Oldin was able to [[BrainwashedAndCrazy brainwash]] his son and take his beloved grandchildren hostage. Zephyr was then forced to kill the brainwashed Lucius while the hostages were murdered, both of which made Claudia lose her will to live and causing her [[MercyKill to beg him to kill her too]].
* {{Protectorate}}: Of Zephyr. When Zephyr opened The Goddess of Light Aria's letter, she gave Zephyr a new quest that would last ten months, which entailed him protecting the key figure Duke Cesare Giornetti and [[LoopholeAbuse forced the Sword of Light to obey him for those ten months]].
* TheScrooge: Not only is Duke Cesare Giornetti extremely affluent, he is also extremely stingy in regards to his wealth. For instance, he refused to provide any monetary support to Zephyr's and Altair's party despite it containing his son and niece and instead expected ''THEM'' to pay ''HIM''. Even when Lucius told his father [[IOweYouMyLife that Zephyr had saved his life]], Duke Cesare Giornetti swiftly shut him up by calling him "Holy One" and telling him that he was responsibly for paying for his own life, irritating Lucius.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Duke Cesare Giornetti's devilish investment idea twelve years ago was why the Dungeon Bubble Break was so devastating to so many people and how frauds like Oldin were able to be active and ruin families like Ned's. The devastation that followed allowed the Tartarus Worshippers to recruit many of the fallen <Eastern Alliance> of the Eastern Lords nobles and grow their power further, bringing the world much closer to a potentially horrible end.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: Thought of Zephyr as "a simple ordinary person" upon first laying eyes on him. Was swiftly proven wrong when Zephyr brought out the Sword of Light before using <Language Enchantment> on him, though.
