!!Under construction. Expect there to be unmarked spoilers when reading.

!!The Protagonists.
[[folder:Spencer M. Carrington]]
The only person who is willing to travel into the mines to rescue Tim's daughter, Jennifer. He is noted by Tim to possess knowledge of the history over the mines, and the only one who has any sense to go down there. His name is given in '''Cursed 3'''.
----
* BadassBookworm: In ''Cursed 3'', he is revealed to be a researcher who grew so obsessed with the Lunar Civilization that he bought Tim's old family house and developed his equipment behind a lab. His interest in the mines is also why he volunteered for the search-and-rescue mission.
* FaceMonsterTurn: ''Cursed 3'' had him leave back to his house, able to control his body for brief moments, allowing him to set up clues and supplies to aid whoever comes to help him, before he is fully consumed.
* GivenNameReveal: In ''Cursed 3'', his name is revealed to be [[spoiler:Spencer Carrington, connecting him to Sarah Carrington from ''Cursed 2'']].
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:''Cursed 3'' had him invoke a summoning ritual. Only after defeating Malus did he mention whoever casting it forfeits their life. He deliberately concealed this fact to prevent Jennifer/Randall from talking him out of it.]]
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: The shield he wields will protect him from all attacks, but he can only raise it for a second.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Twice. [[spoiler: Bringing a Jennifer possessed by Malus back from the mines allows Malus and his influence to spread unchecked, with Randall and the reaper having to deal with the mess. It also wasn't very smart of him to give his family the broken pieces of the Faith Crystal (which he was oblivious to at that time) he found in the ruins to each member [[ReforgedIntoAMinion which turned them all into monsters]] that Jennifer later has to fight in the third game.]]
* NoNameGiven: Until ''Cursed 3'' and its GivenNameReveal, he's only referred to with generic statements, like "the Human".
* PutOnABus: See FaceMonsterTurn.
* SelflessWish: Makes one after defeating Malus. [[spoiler:It doesn't work as intended.]]
* SelfSacrificeScheme: [[spoiler:He's behind the idea for using a ritual for summoning Malus in order to get his essences needed for turning back time, and not letting anyone else know that the ritual will kill the summoner (him), since he doesn't want other people to try and stop him from sacrificing himself, wanting to finally reunite with the rest of his family.]]
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: His actions in ''Cursed 1'' had some cataclysmic effects for the town in ''Cursed 2''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Randall F. Harris]]
Jennifer's best friend, and the one who tried to talk her out of going into the mines. He is first seen in the tavern, enjoying a drink while being standoffish over the whole ordeal. Ten years later, he returns to town to see Jennifer again, only to find a desolate town with monsters and horrors waiting for him.
----
* AnimeHair: His hair is ''very'' Anime-like.
* BadassLongcoat: He has it on in all three games.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In ''Cursed 1'', he comes off as a [[{{Jerkass}} unrepentant jerk]] who is clearly insensitive to the events surrounding Jennifer's disappearance, and deflected when asked why he didn't follow her. In ''Cursed 2'', he worked up the nerve to return to town and brave its horrors for the sake of his friend.
* DeathSeeker: The only real explanation for why after coming so far, he can ask Charon to just kill him after earning his respect enough to be granted a wish. Charon happily obliges.
* TheDeterminator: ''Cursed 3'' sees him return to Jennifer's aid with his hammer and shotgun in tow. In one ending, [[spoiler:''Prevent the Curse'' had him gravely injured while defending Luna's crystal and the reaper becomes obliged to reclaim him for being undead. At his insistence, the reaper agrees not to claim him immediately, and joins the undead Randall to continue fighting a little longer. The reaper does reclaim him off-screen, but by then they already won the fight]].
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: Tends to play this more straight as his primary weapon is a Hammer he brought with him in his truck. Downplayed some though as he can wield firearms and even improve his ability with them. Playing more this way tends to be practical as it saves on ammo.
* NotSoAboveItAll: If the ending to Hardcore Mode is any indication, he DOES have a pretty goofy side...
* SelflessWish: He could wish for immortality, but the TrueEnding requires that he [[spoiler:uses his wish to resurrect Jennifer]].
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: He made sure to keep the one he found in ''Cursed 2'' in the sequel.
* TheSpeechless: He seldom had any dialogue in ''Cursed 2'', save for the dialogue choices.
* SwordOfPlotAdvancement: Randall is required to use the same one from the first game in order to fight the Captain of the Guard.
* WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer: The first key item, and Randall's main weapon of choice.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Jennifer Lloyd]]

[[quoteright:320:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jennifer_cursed.png]]

The unwitting young woman who kicked off the events of the ''Cursed Trilogy''. Jennifer ventured into the mines, and did come out of it. [[spoiler:Only that this isn't the same Jennifer.]] Come ''Cursed 3'', she takes on the task of exploring the old Lloyd Estate from her Great-Grandfather to discover the mystery behind her role in the events of the previous two games.
----
* ActionGirl: Utilizes a variety of [[MageMarksman ranged weapons and magic spells]] to fight off the forces of Malus.
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:In the second game, Randall frees her soul from the monster wearing her face and the reaper reunites it with her body.]]
* CowardlyLion: The third game plays heavily with this, as the inclusion of the Panic meter means Jennifer can easily be killed if she lets her panic overwhelm her. Also, unlike Spencer and Randall, the game does emphasize running and hiding under certain circumstances as she's already [[SquishyWizard squishy]] enough even without said Panic meter. Towards the end of the game, this actually fades away as she gains some skill with her weapons, some levels under her belt, and embracing her role as [[spoiler:Luna]].
* DamselInDistress: In the first game. [[spoiler:However she's actually dead there...]]
* DeadAllAlong: This happens in both ''Cursed 1'' and ''Cursed 2''. In the latter, on the route to the [[spoiler:True Ending. turns out her soul was sacrificed to a servant of Malus. Rescuing that soul is the key to saving her.]]
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: In the earlier portions of the third game, plays this completely straight as Jennifer doesn't use any melee weaponry against her enemies, relying solely on the firearms and spells she finds. Then averted later [[spoiler:once her awakening as Luna has her take up sword and shield]].
* HyperspaceArsenal: Her inventory is just as limited as Randall's, with one key difference: She can find ammo belts that allow her to stock up on ammo instead of using up inventory space.
* MultiRangedMaster: Averted; Jennifer starts off with a handgun, and barely has the know-how to properly use that. With enough usage (by damaging enemies or reloading), she can go from stumbling her reloads to take barely a second to switch out a mag.
* ReincarnationIdentifyingTrait: [[spoiler:Both Jennifer and Luna have the entire outside edges of their ears pierced.]]
* ScrewDestiny: In ''Cursed 3'', she can choose to [[spoiler:destroy the Lunar Crystal instead of re-forging it, leading to ''Delay the Curse'', or sacrifice herself along with a dying Randall in order to reach the ''End the Curse'' ending]].
* SquishyWizard: A variation of this: While she has a respectable HP pool, the squishy part is due to her ''panic'' meter. When she gets overwhelmed, she becomes a OneHitPointWonder for a short time, regardless of how much HP she has. [[spoiler:The panic meter disappears when she becomes Luna, at which point she's possibly the tankiest of the playable characters.]]
* TheReveal: At the end of Chapter 4, Jennifer learns that her and [[spoiler:Luna are one and the same, due to her being a human-descendent of the Goddess herself.]]
* TooDumbToLive: Randall seems to take this attitude towards her during the opening of the first game, though it's later revealed that he TRIED to warn Jennifer away from the mines to no avail, and he eventually gets over himself to try and find her in the second game (and when he's not getting plastered drunk in the tavern). Becomes pretty downplayed later on in the series as it's revealed to have been [[spoiler:Holly's subtle manipulations]] coaxing her to venture into the mines in search of the Staff of the Moon. Once she's {{Promoted to Playable}} in the third game, Charon can take this attitude towards her if she dies one too many times or in particularly stupid manners.
-->'''Charon:''' Jesus, young lady, you sure do suck at being alive...
[[/folder]]

!!All Non-Playable Characters
[[folder:Tim Lloyd]]

[[quoteright:317:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tim_cursed.png]]

Jennifer's father, and the one who gave the Hero the quest to go find his daughter. He runs the tavern in town.
----
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: [[spoiler:He initially opposed the Cult of Malus, but ultimately joined them when his daughter seemingly became a part of them. Upon learning that Jennifer had actually been [[DeadAllAlong dead this whole time]], he then betrays them to help Randall.]]
* NoNameGiven: He is unnamed until ''Cursed 3''.
* PapaWolf: Downplayed; he did intend to go into the mines himself, only to be talked out of it by his wife. ''Cursed 2'' has him choosing his daughter [[spoiler:over saving the world from Malus]]. Once he learned that [[spoiler:the woman he guarded is not actually his daughter, he quickly betrayed his wife and gave Randall the means to advance the Lunar Tower in order to save her soul]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mrs. Lloyd]]

[[quoteright:307:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mrsloyd_cursed.png]]

Jennifer's mother, who convinced her husband out of going into the mines himself. The plot is set in motion thanks to her telling stories to her daughter about the mines.
----
* AscendedExtra: Went from having no real role in ''Cursed 1'' to becoming crucial in [[spoiler:bringing Malus to the world]].
* BondVillainStupidity: [[spoiler:Threatens to kill Randall in her dialogue, but freely engages in conversation with him. It's when you break that dialogue that she'll actually try to kill him]].
* TheReveal: If the player convinced Tim to betray the cult, it's revealed that [[spoiler:Mrs. Lloyd is the cult leader, facilitating sacrifices (including her own daughter) to bring Malus into their realm by providing a suitable vessel.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Captain of the Guard]]
Also referred to as ''The Knight''. An undead clad in armor who is found in the mines. He challenges any human who comes forward with his sword and shield.
----
* BloodKnight: In gameplay, the context barely matters and he's always on the offensive. As a spirit, he makes it abundantly clear that he enjoys killing. Good thing he's on your side.
* CallBack: Phase 1 of his fight plays out the exact same as in ''Cursed 1''. Except he now he can counter-attack the player.
* TheDeterminator: In ''Cursed 2'', The Captain defied Luna's wishes by making sure not another human gets through him, [[JerkassHasAPoint noting that the last time he let one passed, they caused a lot of problems for the town above.]] Even when defeated, he still positioned himself between the player and the doorway, refusing their passage. [[spoiler:Too bad that he leaks the fact he's undead, and the reaper just happened to give you something for the task......]]
* TheDragon: Of Malus in ''Cursed 1'' due to being under his influence.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: [[spoiler:When the reaper is summoned, he asked him "what took you so long?" and is eager to be reclaimed.]]
* {{Familiar}}: In ''Cursed 3'' once Jennifer[[spoiler:-as-Luna]] defeats him in combat, he can become a summoned spirit at her command.
* LosingYourHead: In the third game, when Jennifer[[spoiler:-as-Luna]] spars with him, she ends up decapitating him. Naturally, this merely bemuses him, since he's already dead. Jennifer falls over herself apologizing regardless.
* UndyingLoyalty: Aside from briefly yielding in ''Cursed 2'', he had always had the best intentions in mind for his Goddess.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Charon]]
The god who governs the laws of life and death manifesting as the grim reaper. He surfaced in ''Cursed 2'' with the intent on tracking down the undead. He also forged an alliance with Randall to track down the remaining bodies in return for a favor.
----
* DeadpanSnarker: Does not hold back his disdain to your failures if you keep dying repeatedly in the third game.
* DontFearTheReaper: He merely ferries the dead along when their time comes, and voluntarily works with the protagonists when they share a goal. He'll even bring someone back under the right conditions.
* GameOverMan: Serves as this in ''Cursed 3''.
* NotSoStoic: [[spoiler: Give him the clean white rag in ''Cursed 2''. Better yet, complete [[HarderThanHard Hardcore Mode]] and marvel at the results.]]
* PetTheDog: Despite him having to keep the cycle of life and death in check, he will fulfill Randall's wishes, even the selfish choice if the player chooses that. He also repeatedly helps Jennifer in ''Cursed 3'' upon realizing something is wrong.
* PressXToDie: If provoked, or requested, he will gladly reap your soul.
* SecretSecretKeeper: [[spoiler:He knew all along that Jennifer was Luna, but couldn't tell her anything until she reawoke her memories herself.]]
* TheStoic: Charon expressions rarely change, such as if provoked in ''Cursed 2'', or [[spoiler:[[NotSoStoic when Jennifer/Luna hugs him in ''Cursed 3''.]]]] [[spoiler:Or if he is given a clean rag]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sarah Carrington]]
The young woman found in Jennifer's bedroom in ''Cursed 2'', who was held captive with the intent to be sacrificed by the Cult for Malus. She was also Jennifer's classmate in high school.
----
* EarlyBirdCameo: Appeared in ''Cursed 2'' to provide some backstory. Appears again in ''Cursed 3'' as a spirit who is tied to her family home.
* FanService: As she reveals herself to Jennifer in ''Cursed 3'', she is presented in nude [[SceneryCensor (with the table blocking her from the chest down)]]. Then [[FanDisservice she shows her monstrous form.]]
* FriendlyGhost: ''Cursed 3'' has her as the only member of the Carrington family who will not immediately attack Jennifer, even warning her that she will attack if she presents herself and giving Jen a chance to first prepare.
* [[MrExposition Ms. Exposition]]: When rescued by Randall in ''Cursed 2'', she can fill the player into what has been going on in town.
* ReforgedIntoAMinion: In ''Cursed 3'', her spirit is unable to pass on due to a crystal she obtained in life, and she is unable to give it up willingly, instead being forced into the form of a wraith to protect it. That being said, the crystan isn't given up easily.
* SacrificialLamb: Regardless of your actions in ''Cursed 2'', she will always turn up dead; if Randall spares her, you'll both be apprehended by the Cult after speaking with her. Even if Randall never talks to her, the Cult still captures her off-screen.
* VideoGameCrueltyPotential: Randall can choose to kill her in ''Cursed 2'' with no consequences or continuity errors, as she is deceased in ''Cursed 3'' anyways.
[[/folder]]

!!The Gods
[[folder:Malus]]
The [[BigBad main antagonist]] of the trilogy. His actions revolve around wanting to bring ruin to the world Luna had helped create. Manipulation and death follow in his wake.
----
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: In ''Cursed 2'', [[spoiler:his Cult provided a huge body of Flesh, with his head alone being three times the size of a normal human]]. ''Cursed 3'' [[spoiler:has him forced to enlarge himself to bring about the end of the world]].
* TheDeterminator: No matter how the odds stack against him, he always puts up a fight, providing a challenge no matter how ill-equipped he may be. [[spoiler:Taken to a logical conclusion in ''Cursed 3'' where, even with his soul orb ripped out of his body to form the Staff of the Sun, he still returns with what little essence he has left to oppose Luna! He fails even at that, though.]]
* GodIsEvil: Serves as the [[BigBad villain]] of all three games, and will achieve his goals by any means necessary.
* LightIsNotGood: Malus' essence turns the Staff of the Moon into the Staff of the Sun, implying he was at one point Solus, opposite to Luna's, not to mention his default form is a demonic variant of Living Lava. Given that Malus is the BigBad of the whole trilogy, he qualifies as this.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Luna]]
The Goddess of the Moon who had opposed Malus in their eternal struggle over how humanity should be ruled. She involves herself into their affairs to help better their lives, until the day came when she passed from the world.
----
* ActionGirl: Utilizes a sword and shield, as well as a flamethrower and a mini-scythe to her advantage.
* AnArmAndALeg: [[spoiler:When Luna was mortally wounded, Charon finds her missing her right arm and leg.]]
* EleventhHourSuperPower: Once the Crystal is completely forged, [[spoiler:Luna is able to persist in Earth Realm in a much bigger form, and grows multiple arms, having a fighting chance against the enlarged Malus.]]
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Her eyes are gray with white glowing pupils shaped like waning crescent moons further reflecting her status as Goddess of the Moon.
* GodIsGood: Gladly involves herself in the affairs of mortals for their own protection and prosperity, despite Charon's objections
* GodOfTheMoon: As her name suggests, she is affiliated with the moon, and part of her essence is used for the Staff of the Moon.
* HeroicBSOD: Realizing she is losing her powers during the war, and losing so many warriors, has her stunned to the point that she became easy pickings.
* [[MrExposition Ms. Exposition]]: Made herself known in ''Cursed 2'' to provide Randall some background about her and Malus.
* TheSacredDarkness: Being a goddess affiliated with darkness, and the moon, Luna's followers revere her as a benevolent goddess and she certainly acts the part.
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: Thanks to [[spoiler:Spencer Carrington]], she gains the chance of changing the outcome of the war between her and Malus. [[spoiler:Namely, she prevents it from ever happening by [[RetGone erasing the existence of the gods and demons]].]]
[[/folder]]

!! Monster Antagonists
[[folder:The Brute]]
The only major boss monster (aside from the Captain of the Guard and Malus himself) that the Hero[[spoiler: /Spencer]] fights in ''Cursed 1''. It returns in ''Cursed 3'' as a very dangerous and powerful Mook.
----
* BossInMooksClothing: Was a boss monster in ''Cursed 1'' and returns in ''Cursed 3'' as a very powerful enemy that can be constantly fought.
* EyelessFace: The Brute may not have eyes, but makes up for it with its muscled body and its many mouths.
* NoNameGiven: It was not given a name in its first appearance until ''Cursed 3'' where capturing its orb and placing it in the hidden lab reveals its bio and name.
* TooManyMouths: With very sharp [[MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily fangs]] to boot.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Zombies]]
The living dead that Charon is actively hunting in ''Cursed 2''. Finding them and summoning Charon to dispose of them all for good is a prerequisite for the game's GoldenEnding.
----
* AnArmAndALeg[=/=]OffWithHisHead: Randall can concentrate his attacks on their arms or their head. Enough damage to either and they fall off. Removing their limbs, they can no longer block your attacks or use their poison vomit, but they still attack you with the tongue whip. Removing the head stops the vomit and tongue attacks for good, but can still swipe at him or block his attacks with their arms if not remove.
* ExorcistHead: Managing to hit it before they can block makes its head spin, allowing one or two extra hits before than can rearrange the head back in place.
* GottaKillEmAll: Getting rid of every single last undead one of them makes Charon grateful to Randall and is a requirement to obtain the game's GoldenEnding.
* KingMook: The strongest undead minions in Malus's army that aren't bosses. They even have their own battle music. [[spoiler:The Captain of the Guard is considered one as he is an undead guardian, which means he can't stop Charon from reclaiming him.]]
* MiniBoss: Closest thing to one in ''Cursed 2'' as they are far stronger than the regular enemies.
* OverlyLongTongue: If they stand still and their heads are turned out, they will attack by whipping their tongue. It can only be avoided by ducking down as soon as they start to attack.
* VomitIndiscretionShot: If they block Randall's attacks, they automatically puke up poisonous green vomit that slowly saps his health.
* WhyWontYouDie: Lampshaded as they are living dead. If an inactive zombie is left alone for too long, they'll return and you must fight them again, unless you summon Charon to remove them.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Banshee]]
A minion of Malus that acts as his "Voice" and was accidentally released by the Hero in ''Cursed 1''. Taking the form of Jennifer due to having her soul trapped within her, she commands the Cult of Malus into creating a new body for the dark god so he can take over the world.
----
* TheDragon: To Malus in ''Cursed 2'' [[spoiler:along with Mrs. Lloyd, the leader of the Cult]].
* FinalBoss: Of the Bad Ending of ''Cursed 2'' [[spoiler: unless you use both the Crucifix and the Staff of the Moon to free Jennifer's soul from inside her.]]
* GrandTheftMe: Played with. She doesn't possess Jennifer's real body, but is in disguise in her form thanks to housing her soul within her.
* SoulJar: Jennifer's soul is within her [[spoiler: which Randall can free by using the Crucifix to reveal the soul and then using the Staff of the Moon to absorb it. Disables the weapon for the fight once it is done so the Banshee had to be finished otherwise]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Carrington Family]]
A family that once lived in the old Lloyd house after the patriarch Spencer bought it from Tim Lloyd for his research. Due to coming in contact and absorbing pieces of Luna's crystal, they were transformed into monsters that haunt the house in ''Cursed 3''. Jennifer has to find and kill each one to gain the pieces of the crystal. Members are Spencer the father, Shannon the mother, Sarah the eldest child and only daughter, Justin the young son and Pippy the "youngest".
----
* ApocalypticLog: Jennifer finds tapes recorded by Spencer and Shannon that details the backstory of his Lunar research for the former and her descent into madness for the latter.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Sarah was introduced in ''Cursed 2'' as one of the cult's sacrifices being held in the Lloyd home and ends up being killed there either by the Cultists [[VideoGameCrueltyPotential or Randall himself]].
** [[spoiler: Earlier still, Spencer was the unnamed Hero and main character of ''Cursed 1'' and ends up being turned into a monster likely by the Banshee using Malus's power.]]
* FaceMonsterTurn: All of them eventually succumb to this. [[spoiler: Though Spencer was purified thanks to Jennifer's magic.]]
* {{Fanservice}}: Sarah's summoned spirit is naked but thankfully her body is covered by the seance table. This lasts [[FanDisservice until she transforms into a wraith and attacks.]]
* FetusTerrible: Pippy, a miscarried newborn that somehow was brought to life by a piece of the crystal. According to Shannon's ApocalypticLog, it somehow killed and dismembered Justin.
* HellIsThatNoise: Finding Justin within the forest maze requires listening carefully when music start playing louder to find his hiding place.
* MotherOfAThousandYoung: Shannon's spider hybrid form can pump out grotesque spider-like offspring to protect her.
* NonMaliciousMonster: Sarah doesn't immediately attack when she is finally summoned, giving Jennifer enough time to prepare for her battle.
* OneHitKO: If you don't shoot Justin as soon as you find him hiding in the trees, he'll rush you with an Instant Death attack. Also happens if you didn't kill him and go to sleep. He will be waiting there when Jen wakes up, so make sure to finish him off for good.
* SpiderPeople: Shannon eventually becomes one, hiding out in the upper parts of the attic with her [[MotherOfAThousandYoung "one thousand children"]].
* ThingsThatGoBumpInTheNight: If Jennifer doesn't kill Justin in the forest maze, he will be waiting for her once she wakes up from her sleep...
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: If it wasn't for Spencer's research and finding the pieces of the crystal deep within the ruins of Luna's temple beneath the house, his family wouldn't have ended up turning into crazed monsters.
* WeCanRebuildHim: Justin's dismembered body pieces can be found all around the house and must be reassembled, then [[LightningCanDoAnything struck with lightning]] to bring him back to "unlife."
