Early Samon concerns himself with greed way more in the early parts, and he was a PerpetualSmiler with a smug, jerky attitude. By contrast, Regular Samon is more prone to react comedically, is a JerkWithAHeartOfGold and displays himself as such in several chapters, and while he is disliked by many of his classmates he can still talk to them. The only things the two versions have in common are that he's still a jerk, scummy, and hates Tesshi for her seeming hypocritical nature.
13	** Samon is overall portrayed as a more "evil" character in the beginning of the series; willing to allow a demon to remove one of his classmates' soul just to prove a point to Tesshi.
