* Obscure Platform/PhilipsCDi game VideoGame/TheApprentice1994 is mostly known online these days for a number of secret passwords that let the player see the protagonist use his magic to strip some girls; as a parody of Franchise/MortalKombat, these scenes are referred to as "Nudalities".
* VideoGame/ARMS is mostly known due to the popularity of its female characters, especially the voluptuous Twintelle.
* VideoGame/AtelierRyzaEverDarknessAndTheSecretHideout is one of the most well-known and best-selling games in the long-running Atelier series despite being a newer entry. The reason for this is due to an extremely attractive female lead and her equally attractive compatriots. The attention Ryza's design brings to her thighs, as well as the game flaunting its swimsuit DLC, lead to copious fan art and numerous anime figures of Ryza, and a memetic nickname for her as "Thigza". Ironically, the game is actually TamerAndChaster than previous VideoGame/AtelierSeries titles in almost every other regard, lacking a Episode or HotSpringsEpisode and other Ecchi scenes. But that ended up mattering little due to Ryza's default design and the game's cutscenes having the possibility of being done in that bikini.
** The sequel ended up giving the older Ryza longer legs and FashionableAsymmetry on her leggings that bring more attention to her thighs than previously, with the developers also hoping to invoke this trope in promotional art that shows Ryza in revealing outfits.
** All three games in the trilogy are also infamous for the way the camera often clings to Ryza's butt when she crawls on all fours to get through crawlspaces, which Vtubers and streamers have commented on, or did over and over to enjoy the view.
* Kanna from VideoGame/BlasterMasterZero2 is disproportionately more popular than anyone else in the game, or even the game itself. The second's worth of screentime she made in the reveal trailer from the Nintendo Direct was enough for anyone who's into plant girls with giant boobs to spontaneously generate fanart of questionable intent, regardless of whatever she's like or wherever she's from.
* VideoGame/BloodRayne was a series of action-adventure games made primarily in the early 00s, most famous for the Stripperific main character who at one point posed for Playboy.
* VideoGame/BloodySpell is a rather generic Soulslike game, save for the huge variety of alternate skins you can swap your player character with, all of them whom are attractive, scantily clad women. Your default PC is a swordsman, but after the first stage you can give him a gender-swap into a succubi, a hot nurse, a chick in a UsefulNotes/qipao, a femme fatale clad in a SpyCatsuit... a few online reviews even calls the game an "Outfit Simulator".
%%* You'd probably be forgiven for hearing about VideoGame/BlueArchive and immediately correlating it with the massive amount of PlayboyBunny and Meido fan art that got made about it. Especially if said fan art is of either Karin or Asuna, both of whom have both outfits in the actual game (the Meido look being their base looks). %%Needs a rewrite%%
* There are two things most people know about VideoGame/BrainDead13. The hilariously gruesome deaths Lance can suffer from, and the Vampress Vivi with her large jiggling busom, and her ImpossibleHourglassFigure.
* If anyone remembers the obscure 1994 brawler VideoGame/BrutalPawsOfFury, it's almost certainly because of Foxy Roxy, a curvy foxgirl with skintight clothing who does handstand splits on the character select screen. The vast majority of fanart is of her, and most sprite sites usually only offer her sprites, and nothing else...not the other fighters, or even the backgrounds!
%%* VideoGame/CodeVein is well known for being a SoulsLikeRPG set in a post-apocalyptic WorldOfBuxom where practically every female character is Stripperiffic (including the incredibly-customisable player character if you like) and almost half the bosses resemble giant mutated pole dancers (and in the case of the Invading Executioner that is NotHyperbole in the least). It even provides a number of handsome men for the female players to admire as well. Oh, and one of the facilities in your home base is an honest-to-goodness hot spring where the cast will lounge around in Modesty Towels. Oh, the gameplay and story? Yeah, it's pretty good we guess. %%Needs a rewrite%%
* VideoGame/ConanExiles was a SurvivalSandbox set in the Franchise/ConanTheBarbarian mythos that pitted the player against all kinds of hazards and had them fight for their survival and create their own legend. All of this didn't matter, as what really made news headlines was the fact characters all started naked in Early Access and the option to adjust the size of male genitalia.
* VideoGame/Darkstalkers is a FightingGame with a roster of varied characters, but is mostly known for its provocative, scantily-dressed succubus Morrigan, and to a lesser extent the busty catgirl Felicia. Morrigan has appeared in nine of Capcom's crossover games, sometimes as the game's only representative, while other characters have only appeared in a few. She also dominates both promotional art and fanart of the franchise.
* VideoGame/DeadEstate: Despite being a well-put-together Roguelite, the thing the game is almost always associated with is its resident MsFanservice Cordelia(although sometimes the other female characters get recognition), due to how prominent she is in the game's advertising as well as her popularity with fan artists. In fact, the developers like to share posts of people being unable to tell whether the game is a serious Roguelike or an HGame based on the marketing alone.
* VideoGame/DragonBallXenoverse is a fun action JRPG with a CharacterCustomization that lets you kick ass in throughout Dragon Ball Z’s history. Though look at most places on online however and the series is generally more beloved by fans for the simple fact you can make as many sexy female Saiyans and female Majin Buus as you want without the need for [=DeviantArt=].
* VideoGame/DragonQuest:
** The recurring Dangerous Bikini and its fanservice costume descendants were the subject of many gaming trivia columns and everyone remembers how the sprite of your female party member(s) will change to reflect it being worn.
** VideoGame/DragonQuestIII can be summed up in four words: Female Warrior, ChainmailBikini. Most of the other female classes are also excessively popular, particularly the Sage, Cleric, and Jester. DQIII did (and still does) have a lot going for it such as the then-big reveal that , and [[spoiler:Ramia, the bird your party flies around the map on, even shows up in the eighth game as the Godbird Empyrea]], but if there's one thing emblazoned in the fandom's minds, it's the women... and the game encourages this!
** VideoGame/DragonQuestIV was the first game to have multiple party members with distinctive personalities, rather than use a predetermined party or a team of Player Mooks. Of all the characters, Manya with her belly-dancer's outfit takes up most of the artwork.
** The Stripperiffic Jessica of VideoGame/DragonQuestVIII, appearing as the only one who can change outfits on maps and puff-puff the enemies into various states of confusion with her sex appeal abilities.
* Creator/Vanillaware's title VideoGame/DragonsCrown became an example of this pretty much immediately after its characters were revealed. Fans are less concerned about the contents of the title (which, granted, is little to worry about since Vanillaware's releases are consistently decent) and more concerned about how much Fanservice the Sorceress and ianBeauty provide.

* The other thing that sets VideoGame/EtrianOdyssey apart from other dungeon crawlers besides its difficulty and mapping mechanics are the cute female character portraits, which cater to many kinds of fanservice.
* VideoGame/Evony was a city-building browser game that was primarily known for its ads in the 2000s which featured attractive women beckoning "come play, my lord". This is the only thing that Evony is known for.
* VideoGame/FatalFury is an iconic fighting game series by SNK that soon became VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters, however the vast majority of people will likely only know both franchises through skimpy ninja girl Mai Shiranui, whose staggering popularity through Fanservice overshadows pretty much most other fighters. Even iconic poster boy Terry often struggles to compete with Mai when it comes to recognition simply because of the latter’s sex appeal.
* VideoGame/FightNRage has been praised as a solid SpiritualSuccessor to classic 1990s Beat 'em Ups from the arcade days, as well as its charismatic art style, but chances are you first heard of this game because of its incredibly voluptuous female lead, Gal, dressed in a Stripperiffic outfit whose breasts bounce frequently. Those who have actually played her story know [[spoiler:Gal is an escapee from being sold into slavery who was given no choice about her outfit. It's also possible she has no name of her own, as all women sold into slavery to the mutants are called "gals"]].
* VideoGame/FireEmblem:
** To some fans, VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening might as well be called "Super Ultra Waifu Fanservice Simulator 3000" due to its DatingSim elements and BeachEpisode DLC, never mind that it's supposed to be a medieval fantasy Turn-Based Strategy RPG. This is also most likely the reason that Tharja and the grown-up HotterAndSexier Tiki are the most well-known characters from the game.
** VideoGame/FireEmblemFates: From the get-go, a lot of focus was placed on the character Camilla and her... assets. The eventual announcement of more fanservice-y elements in the game, such as the infamous face-rubbing game, hot springs, and the ability to dress your characters in swimsuits have split fans.
* VideoGame/GoddessOfVictoryNikke is a ThirdPersonShooter RolePlayingGame with an in-depth storyline involving humanity's fight against alien machines that have taken control of the Earth's surface and forced mankind underground. You'd only know that if you've played or researched the game, though. Thanks to its SexSells advertising, most people are only aware of it as "that ass game" due to the camera perspective and animation lovely showcasing how the gun recoil affects your squadmates' shapely behinds.
* The VideoGame/GoldenAxe games are arcade Beat 'em Ups developed by Creator/Sega. They are famous for the AmazonianBeauty Tyris Flare in a Stripperiffic ChainmailBikini, and the shirtless Ax Battler's HeroicBuild. They are rendered in enough graphical detail to make them visually and sexually attractive.
* When talking about VideoGame/GothamKnights2022, the general discourse from people is either a BrokenBase over whether or not the game is fun despite being a grind-heavy live service title or more commonly how wonderful Batgirl's ass is in her batsuit. In fact, so popular are Barbara’s buttocks, [a good number of people cite her as the only reason to play the game at all].
* VideoGame/HauntingGround is a lesser known Capcom SurvivalHorror on the [=PS2=] and not too many people have played it. Most will however know it as the game where you play as the beautiful blonde with big breasts (that jiggle) who runs around a castle in a short skirt. Actually justified for once though, as Fiona’s intentional sexualisation and fanservice is the whole point of the game, with it really being a horror psycho-sexual deconstruction of the MsFanservice in video games. For that reason some female gamers and critics defend use of the fanservice in the game.
* VideoGame/HyruleWarriors is largely remembered for A) being a solid Musou game that celebrates everything about Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda up to that point and B) featuring the villainess Cia and her superb NavelDeepNeckline. The fact that most Nintendo properties, even spin-offs, rarely feature that risqué level of fanservice only helped matters.
* VideoGame/MagicalDrop is best remembered for The World, who is the scantily-clad mascot character with a bouncy victory animation.
* VideoGame/MortalKombat9 is remembered for two things, being the much needed reboot to the series and moreover the one where every single female character has cleavage you can ski down and have more thongs than a beach in summertime. The fanservice (which has always been present) did get downplayed by the time of MKX and MK11 but it’s still as closely tied to the popularity of the series as the fatalities. Mileena in particular is more known being an incredibly curvaceous ninja girl than the fact she actually has ScaryTeeth behind her mask and is ironically supposed to be FanDisservice.
* VideoGame/MuchiMuchiPork is known less for the bells and whistles of a Shinobu Yagawa shmup like rank and crazy scoring mechanics, and more for its pandering to plus-size fetishists.
* VideoGame/MuseDash is well-known for characters who shamelessly (or not) flaunt very revealing costumes, such as Bunny Girl Rin, Joker Buro, Meido Maid Marija, Magical Girl Marija, Little Devil Marija, and Dominatrix The Girl In Black Marija.
* VideoGame/MysticWarriors is a run-of-the-mill side-scrolling shooter by Creator/Konami akin to their earlier VideoGame/Contra and VideoGame/SunsetRiders. Curiously, this game is mostly remembered for the possibility of having Yuri tied up and gagged in the intro of the game.

* What VideoGame/NamuAmidaButsuUtena is known for, other than being about Japanese UsefulNotes/Buddhism, is being noticeably HotterAndSexier than its predecessor games with rampant bare skin and even Walking Shirtless Scenes and ShamelessFanserviceGuy behavior of well-built men.
** The game it's remade from, Namu Amida Butsu!, judging from what traces of it that are preserved online, was apparently even worse – it featured imagery and voices that skimmed the boundary of straight-up eroge territory. Gems include an enemy's causing unstoppable lust in the first chapter, several cards featuring suggestive imagery, one of which is bondage, complete with suggestive dialogues.
* VideoGame/Otomedius is best known for being a 'sexy flying girls' clone of VideoGame/Gradius. Oh, there's a little something about guest stars from Life Force/Salamander, Franchise/Castlevania, and Toys/BusouShinki, but when all the promo posters for the game shove the protagonist and her twin 'fuel tanks' in the audience's face, there's only a couple of things that will stand out for them.
* A sad example with VideoGame/ParasiteEve and its titular heroine Aya Brea. She’s a blonde FairCop ActionGirl who initially wasn’t particularly sexualised beyond wearing a stunning evening gown in the first level with the rest of the game focusing on plot rather titillation. However the two sequels (made by largely different people) dialled up the Fanservice and MaleGaze, giving her gratuitous shower scenes and infamously in VideoGame/TheThirdBirthday’s case ludicrous ClothingDamage . Now when people bring the series in general discourse, they more likely remember Aya for being a MsFanservice rather then being a great JRPG protagonist.
* P.N.03 received mix reviews upon its 2003 release and was a commercial flop, but even its harshest critics still praised protagonist Vanessa Z. Schneider, for her 3D model, manually-animated seductive dances, and sex appeal. Some critics and fans have quipped that she is more interesting than the game or that the game is all about her butt, which jiggles and shakes erotically in her semi-auto and automatic fire animations for the player's full view. Many reviewers wrote about these "gyrations" and compared Vanessa to a "stripper", especially for her ultimate thong suit. Screenshots, gifs, and webms of Vanessa's dance animations and poses have exceeded the game's reputation, and given the game's subpar reception and cheeky fanservice, calling P.N.03 "ass" takes on literal meaning. Nonetheless, many reviewers consider it a CultClassic and praise it for being a spiritual predecessor to VideoGame/Bayonetta.
* VideoGame/PrinceOfPersiaWarriorWithin has two characters that put it into this trope: Shahdee, a minor character who gets dispatched not far into the game, yet thanks to her outfit and introduction sequence, many remember her like she was the focus of the game; and Shahdee's boss Kaileena, a beautiful, buxom, scantily-dressed seductress who even gets a fairly racy ending cutscene.
* VideoGame/RideToHellRetribution: One of the elements that contributed to the game's infamy is the awkward sex scenes where both Jake and his partner keep their clothes on the entire time.
* VideoGame/Rust: It's a rare male example, since it's MaleFrontalNudity, but you start balls-out naked, and that's about what half the Internet knows about the game. There's a mosaic by default, but it can be disabled. Pants are a highly treasured bit of loot.

* VideoGame/Shantae is a series of Metroidvania games with fun gameplay, a sense of humour that ranges from the oddball to the sardonic to the just-plain meta, and a rocking soundtrack. All that tends to be what makes fans stay though. How most people discover the series is by way of seeing others talking about or sharing fanart of the franchise's titular SultryBellyDancer protagonist and its supporting cast of equally adorable and sexy women clad in lovely Stripperiffic attire.
* VideoGame/Skullgirls has a rather cool art style, a good story for a fighter, some interesting characters with personalities that shows they actually have more depth to them than just their looks, some even having a tragic past but still been an up beat inspiration and good role model, and is an overall fun and solid tournament fighter. But most people who haven't played the game for more than 10 minutes or at all often get stuck on its admittedly not so hidden fan service. Keep in mind said fan service is played for laughs and is only focused on for a few moments to deliver a punchline or two once in a while and then the game moves on and usually stays focused on the story for the most part -- and later veers most of the fanservice into FanDisservice.
* This is the reason why VideoGame/Shadowverse was nicknamed Waifuverse at one point, by newcomers of the Card Game who immediately noticed the anime-inspired Fanservice of the characters and cards.
* Why should you play VisualNovel/Snatcher? You get to flirt with all the women! And there's nudity! And something about Communist robots taking over the world with ReplicantSnatching, probably. Might as well play VisualNovel/Policenauts for the same reason. You can flirt with every girl in the game; you can even grope them!
* The VideoGame/SoulSeries is very much this. The fact it’s a fantasy fighting game where you use weapons and play as characters from different nationalities and cultures is all drowned out by the very busty Ivy who’s DressedLikeADominatrix, whom along with other attractive female characters are arguably why the series is as popular as it is. The fact that 2B was added to the roster in the sixth entry only helps this notion.
* Franchise/StreetFighter is the TropeCodifier of the FightingGame genre, but barring the in-depth players most people when discussing the series will more likely talk about how droolingly sexy a lot of the characters (both female and male) are. Chun-Li and Cammy are great characters who are very strong and have great combo gameplay, but they’re much more recognised for having curvaceous physiques worthy of Venus and having attire that best displays their T and A. It’s more than likely Anime/StreetFighterIITheAnimatedMovie played a big part in turning Chun-Li in particular into a sex icon in the franchise going forward. This focus on fanservice over in-canon skill is also sadly why both Chun-Li and Cammy got a good deal of BadassDecay, as Capcom put more emphasis on their sexiness and wardrobe rather than their ActionGirl abilities. As mentioned before though, this applies the male characters as well e.g the conversation about Ryu is more commonly about how devastatingly sexy he is with a beard or the fact you can see his dick print in the trailer for SF6 rather than anything to do with his character.
* There are some people who have never even played VideoGame/StarFoxAdventures, yet almost everyone knows about Krystal, who mostly goes around in just a bra and a loincloth.
* Sudden Attack 2 advertised "stunning graphic quality." By which they meant Miya, who spent much of the trailer with the camera lovingly pointed at her rear end in short shorts. It was so over-the-top that even the players complained, which was one of the factors (along with contract issues) that led to the game's early cancellation.
* VideoGame/Tekken although iconic enough to be recognised on its own merits, the series is still nevertheless extremely popular thanks to super hottie female characters such as Nina, Anna, Christie, Asuka and Lili (particularly in Nina and Anna's case it was simply due to the fact they were some the first women to be attractively rendered in CG doing the 3D games boom of the 90s). Nina, despite having no big importance in terms of the overall story of Tekken, got her own spin-off game Death by Degrees purely through the strength of her character i.e the strength of the tight spandex covering her curvaceous body.
* Any and all discussion of VideoGame/TERA will be dominated by and centered around the rights of the female playable characters to wear Chainmail Bikinis, and whether or not people who play as Elins are pedophiles because they wear the same stuff that all the other females are wearing.
* VideoGame/TimeGal: The most remembered thing about the game is the fact that it has a girl running around in a bikini for the whole game.
* Franchise/TombRaider: Lara Croft has huge guns - oh, and pistols, too. A lot of people play the game through on all difficulty levels and get all the trophies- just to unlock the bikini costumes, and to angle the camera to get the best view of Lara's ass and boobs. Subverted with the 2013 reboot and two sequels due to her assets being toned down and outfits becoming more modest (while still remaining plausibly big) in the game's overall more realistic art style.
* Franchise/TouhouProject is about a world of super-powered magical action girls (many of which are Cute Monster Girls who are ReallySevenHundredYearsOld) who have interesting (but never romantic) relationships with each other, which can gives way to tons of fanart (cute, gorgeous or very risque) and awesome music. "Shoot em ups"? What's a "shoot 'em up"? Unlike other examples on this page, the creator does lament that it's not best known as a shoot 'em up.
* VideoGame/TraumaCenterAtlus: "Moving Heart" is one of Trauma Teams most infamous levels; it's a Diagnostics level, and you sometimes need to get your patients to lift up their shirts in order to listen with your stethoscope. In that particular level, your patient is an attractive woman with great cleavage that's even acknowledged InUniverse.
* VideoGame/WildWoody is an obscure title on the Sega CD that in present times is mostly remembered for an infamous topless mermaid easter egg hidden in one of the levels. It gets to the point that Let's Play videos and even Longplays tend to show it off just for the novelty/infamy.
* VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2 is an RPG with an incredibly complex combat system, massive open world, hundreds of sidequests that flesh out the details of the setting, and main plotline centered around an effort to save a dying world from a terrorist organization that's trying to recover an ancient superweapon. Ask someone with only passing knowledge of the game about it, and they'll probably reference the main female lead's Stripperiffic default costume or the fact that some of the optional blades have sexualized designs.
* Ask someone what they know about VideoGame/Xenosaga. Most people will probably answer "It's the game where KOS-MOS is from" and next to nothing beyond that.
