But it also means [[OhCrap the humans have to hurry up]] with a solution to killing The Thing before the cold kills them...
5	* The scene in the beginning where the rescue party tries to uncover what appears to be a crashed airplane...

7	* The team opening a door to find the Thing ''right behind it''.
8	* The expedition members' attempt to kill the Thing with lots and lots of fire (and a couple axes) doesn't work. Though it looks very awesome and dangerous.

18	* Dr. Chapman wrestling away Carrington's weapon when he tries to pull a gun and stop the others.
19	* Even if he's probably wrong and driven by some arrogance, Carrington's appeal to the Thing urging it to stop fighting, while risking his own life.

23	* In ''Climate of Fear'', Agapito nearly gets infected, so how does he stop it from spreading? [[LifeOrLimbDecision By cutting off his whole arm with a machete]] and jumping out the window!
24	** Agapito jumped out the window to escape when the other people in the base came into the room and he realized they were all Things. He escaped because they stood there and commented on his actions rather than attack. It's implied that cutting off his arm ''[[VillainRespect took the Things by surprise]]'' and he used that to escape.
25	** Earlier on, when Dr. Deseado starts taunting Agapito into punching him with a bare fist, the latter seems to hold back... Only to smack him ''with a butt of his rifle instead'', taking a third option out of the situation. What makes it particularly awesome is that later on Deseado turns out to have been infected, and so would Agapito have been, had he fell for the provocation.
26	* In the same series, Childs who had become a Thing, infects [=MacReady=]'s blood sample to make people think he's infected.
27	* In the first issue of ''Climate of Fear'', Pablo's desperately shooting at the Sheep-Thing even as he's being absorbed into its body. Not only does he go down fighting, but he indirectly alerts the rest of the base's personnel to the presence of the Thing.
